As anyone can understand, filing bankruptcy is a difficult life changing process. I think that…read moreScott Blotter while good at what he does is overwhelmed and under the impression people filing understand everything that is and will be happening. When an appointment is made you first see someone that gives you a "consultation" that helps you figure out the best direction to take and explains the majority of the beginning process. It was good to have that option to get started, however he/she is not a lawyer so cannot answer most questions or give advice. Next (after you pay at least part of the total) you come back and meet with another person (again, not a lawyer) to fill out all the paperwork to be ready to file. Only once the total amount is paid can you meet with Scott and file. One bonus is that you can make payments, and take as long as you need to pay it off, but the filing cannot begin until then. Once I met with Scott I felt rushed, and like my questions and concerns weren't really understood. Next comes the meeting of the creditors that is mandatory you attend, and he is supposed to be there to represent you. In my case he couldn't make it and I had a substitute lawyer, nice that I didn't have to reschedule but he knew nothing about me or my case. Once it is all said and done, and everything is filed you just wait... Now here's the frustrating part. No one tells you what is next, what to expect or what to do when there is a problem. I emailed, called, left messages etc and was just told everything should be taken care of and to wait until the certificate of bankruptcy comes in the mail. I filed in April, didn't receive my certificate until August. That may be normal time wise I'm not sure. However, after all this I had an issue with a creditor and got no help from Scott, in fact he began to get rude, instead of answering my questions he just quoted things from the paperwork filled out and eventually stopped answering me completely. He would not assist me further and has left me with a problem he can help fix but refuses to. I think that it is unprofessional, especially after all the time and money put into filing. Also, the entire staff is different from when I started, I guess that should have been a clue.

Read Jessica M's review. It is so correct. I too have had the exact issues with him. He has messed…read moreup my Chapter 13 and then wants to withdraw instead of doing additional work. For 2 weeks there was no staff, I think they all quit on him at the same time. When he messes up your case, he wants to withdraw instead of fixing it. Perhaps some bar complaints will get him looked into.
