They are great when you first pay them and start the bankruptcy process. Once you've filed and they have their money they are impossible to get a hold of to answer questions. I have sent multiple emails for 2 weeks and never have heard back (3 weeks later) I have called and get told they aren't in the office to help me. I would not recommend Capstone Law. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would.limited space can't put all in. For starters, if you have not signed with them yet-RUN! In 2016 I had called and spoke with Mr. Weekes. At that time and when I called him back stating we would sign with him, he was professional, nice, and answered all of our questions, at that time. The moment we signed with them and gave them the deposit for the bankruptcy, it went downhill. We actually never heard from Mr. Weekes again. Also, I did let them know from the beginning that I do have anxiety and our financial situation stressed me out, hence the bankruptcy. Here's how it went. We were assigned to M***ie. She was horrible. Didn't answer some of our questions, in fact the 3 main questions we had, she pretty much never answered. For 3-4 months we sent emails and left messages with those 3 same questions. There was one point when she answered it in a way you would get from an angry kid. It made no sense. And I have a literary degree and can understand quite a bit, unless too much business associated jargon gets involved. At any rate. When we got the email, I showed my husband and he didn't even know what she was trying to explain. We had left so many messages for her that the receptionist was getting to be very rude and unprofessional and when she would ask if it was me, she said my name with such distaste. Because she wasn't answering our questions, it got to the point that I had to go straight to the trustee to get questions answered. Which, there are limited questions they can help with. We had to deal with M***ie from mid-August-about end of November, beginning of December, which was when we got an email from Katherine that she would be taking over. But the damage was already done. My husband and I are not the type of people that if we ask a question we expect an answer asap. We go by the 3 business day rule, unless they are on vacation or sick. Between the beginning of September-November, here was happened to mentally and physically from dealing with M***ie. (a) my anxiety spiked to a level I never thought I would experience. I've had anxiety since 2002 and it was always manageable. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worse, I would say it was at a 4, 5 if I had to go to medical place or go on a plant. By the time September 2016 came, my anxiety hit 10. (b) walking-my anxiety was so bad I ended up walking toe-heel instead of heel-toe or just flat out on my toes. This was because of how bad the anxiety and stress got, which again, was never this bad until dealing with this place. From walking this way, I ended up with toe infections. (c) neck and shoulder issues-from the new stress of not hearing from them and the anxiety increase I was tightening every muscle in my neck and shoulders and pushing my neck out as far forward as it would go. This caused severe tension, which I found out in August of 2017 that from doing that, it caused mild bulging in my neck and carpal tunnel in my shoulder. An MRI and nerve test confirmed both of these. I was having balance and lightheaded/dizzy spells and my vision was blurring. Was told by my doctor it was from the neck as well as the stress. Because of the spells and the way I was walking, I barely got out of bed or barely off the chair. I work from home and sitting wasn't too bad. But the spells hit at any time. Sometimes 5 times a week and more than once in a day. Between all of those, it got to the point where I was afraid to drive and go anywhere because I didn't know if I was going to have a spell and my legs were weak that I had to start reconditioning them. (d) Working with M***ie was so horrible and she affected my mental and physical health in such a bad way, I can't see, hear, and say her name. When I do, I get an anxiety attack. (e) It got the to point with her not answering our questions and not responding to messages left and emails, that when I would email her, I would add Mr. Weekes to that email so he would see what was going on. I even explained to him, and M***ie, that I had already told them the bankruptcy was hard enough and working with M***ie was hard and she was negatively affecting my health and told him everything that was going on from the very beginning of working with her. Guess what. Never heard from him. No apology for her behavior and lack of communication, empathy, professionalism and how she negatively affected my health. No responsibility for her actions. Nothing. In the last email I sent to M***ie and Mr. Weekes, this was I believe in November 2016, I had told them I can longer deal with them and cannot speak to them because it was negatively affecting my health and they had to speak to my husband. We went with a differ attorney for motions to sell, buy, and pay off the bankruptcy. Capstone thankfully dropped us. Save yourself. Go to someone else who cares and communicates. First, no one ever wants to be in a position to have to file for bankruptcy, but if you do, you need someone who knows what they are doing, and will keep you informed. I was very nervous that I wouldn't pick the right lawyer, or we would end up with someone who just wanted to get paid, and left us hanging. Our lawyer at Weekes (Perry Bsharah) has been AMAZING. He is always fast to respond to any of my questions, and is very good at making sure you understand what is happening, and that you are comfortable with the process.
