Wish I could give them 0 stars. The absolute most incompetent company in the USA. They have screwed up four separate installations of cable boxes. The first time they had no record of an appointment i made when I called them. The second time they sent some one but he didn't bring the cable boxes because he said they had been shipped to me. I never requested that any boxes be shipped to me and never received anything. The third time they simply failed to show up. The fourth time they booked the appointment as a technical issue, and not only did no one show up, but according to the Xfinity rep, they would not bring boxes for a technical issue because they (wrongly) assume your cable boxes can be fixed. The boxes are being installed in a vacation rental property and my guests were lovely enough to agree to wait for the technician to show up on 4 separate occasions. I am refunding the guests some money and will go after Xfinity for it. I plan to get the boxes myself and drive them from Boston to Provincetown, then sue Xfinity for the money I had to refund to my vacation guests who have had no TV during their entire vacation and my wasted time to drive back and forth to Cape Cod. Xfinity SUCKS BIG TIME. They are the only cable provider on Cape Cod so they thinks its OK to SUCK BIG TIME! Beware and get a satellite dish or Roku TV. read more

Xfinity has zero regard for their customers. I spent about 4 hours with their online representatives and I was told I would be sent a Wi-Fi extender with an upgrade (twice). I never received the extender. It never was sent so I set up an in store appointment. The in store representative was disinterested and told me I could buy the extender they said they supply per the upgrade. Quitting xfinity after 20 years. Paying more to terminate my contract than the price of the extender but happy to be done with them. read more

Xfinity pricing is outrageous. They gaf the poor and old. They do not even offer a kind, 5-10% discount for Senior Citizens, in their plan. For the second time this week my service has crashed at night due to "scheduled maintenance" which is also, apparently, "an unplanned emergency." (Never got an explanation as to what the cause of the first outage was, there was nothing on the news the next morning about any car crashes or power outages in the area.) At the moment I have both cable and internet up and running again, yet Comcast is still saying service is down, so I can't (1) speak to an agent or (2) request a refund. Of course. And since this is an ongoing situation without a clearly defined start or end, I will probably never be eligible for one. Also I specifically requested text updates and never got any. Though I did get 30+ spam texts from them after one recent complaint, all of them asking for me to rate their sham of a company. I called to complain about the endless spamming (it went on all night, at 3-5 minute intervals) and was told the only way to stop them was to completely turn off service alerts - meaning if they were going to shut off service in the area for some reason, I'd never know about it. All or nothing. An awful, awful company all around. They have a crook for a CEO (look it up), their agents are idiots, and their idea of service is to just replacing equipment every time something goes wrong. read more

The customer service department is extremely textbook and a huge joke. I have animals okay, so one of my rascally rabbits got to the coax cable going from outside of the house to the modem. Clearly, I can see it's very well snacked on. My rabbits love the spicy hay and will go through mountains to find it. Scheduled an appointment to get this fixed with a technician. I received a call today to run through every possible reboot there is. Finally, after playing the game for 45 minutes, which I think is beyond fair, I asked the lady how any sort of reboot is going to fix a rabbit chewed wire. Oh, so sorry ma'am, let me just try one more thing. Put me on hold, and I sat through yet another reboot. These people are off their rocker! Think outside the box and not from a book PLEASE for the love of everything. my mind is blown at the stupidity. Mind you before I called, I had already been through these steps on my own as I do have a very slight bit of common sense. Xfinity has the worst customer service in the world in my opinion. I've been working on the same issue for three days, while they ignore the facts. They say they will call back and don't, when I complained they hung up the phone. When I asked for a case number, they told me that don't use them AT&T does a much better job at supporting their users and I thought they were bottom of the barrel. Its so bad, that I had to files complaints with the Better Business Bureau and a complaint with the FCC. Been a customer for over 10 years. Internet was slow. Xfinity told me to replace the modem and it would cost me nothing. Went to the Xfinity store and got a new router, replaced the old one on my own. Nothing worked: no cable no internet no home security. Multiple technicians came to my house but they kept sending techs that couldnt work on homes with home security. Finally fixed but internet and cable, but two of my three cameras that were only two years old still didn't work. Apparently they had to be replaced because they weren't compatible with the new modem. Xfinity charged me $100 for install fee and $240 for the new cameras. After multiple calls and complaints, they agreed to remove the $100 install fee. I've been calling multiple times and a supervisor recently hung up on me trying to get the $240 removed. I refuse to pay for new xfinity cameras that replaced perfectly good xfinity cameras only 2 years old because of a compatibility with the new xfinity modem that they should have known about before they had me replace the modem. I will end up canceling my service if they don't waive this charge. read more

Hands down the worst customer service. If you are able to connect with a real person, they are often unable to assist you. Very obvious they are in India and English is a second language for them. They try, but it is very frustrating. Xfinity has made it virtually impossible to manage your own system details. In the past you could creat email accounts, manage users, set static IP addresses for devices and more. Now they want you to use a stupid app for everything. Time to find another provider. read more

I have an Xfinity plan that is supposed to cost $156/month, but they routinely charge me double that now. Each time I call about pricing, they offer a slight price reduction l, but that also want to cut services. Xfinity is a total rip-off. Don't subscribe with Xfinity, if you have other options. They're pricing ALWAYS increases over time, without notice. Customer service is all AI and it is very difficult to reach a live person. Even if you reach a live customer service Rep, they'll mess-up your request for changes most of the time. TV and internet service is reliable, but the cost is totally ridiculous. read more

I called Xfinity to find out why I have been having spotty internet the last few days. My modem goes off and on without reason throughout the day. I called and the automated system initiated a modem restart and then told me I would get a text in the next 10 minutes. I had internet when the automated system restarted the internet, so that wasn't the issue. I them spent the next 10 minutes trying to get to a live person to have the conversation I needed to have regarding the modem turning off and on all by itself. I the process, I was able to learn from the automated system that my bill has been increased by $15 a month... without notice or authorization. So I then spent another 5 minutes trying to get through to billing to ask someone about the new charges. ... but was pointedly told, by the automated system that I could not speak to anyone until my modem was finished restarting. I was told that I could not speak to someone until I tried using the automated text messaging system, because I was not already frustrated enough getting sent in circles by an automated voice system, I was going to be forced I to running circles with an automated text system.. If this is the new Xfinity customer service, I may as well move to Frontier. They have about as many outages as I am having right now, as crappy of customer service, but at least my bill will be about half! Xfinity, you are going in the wrong direction guys! I'm still waiting to speak to someone, so my issue has still not been resolved. read more

Xfinity will lie about their mobile phone service. After transferring my mobile from Verizon, i was informed my phone was not compatible ab i had to buy a new phone. So i asked to undo the transfer. Worst Customer Service! My bill has more than doubled since $$$$subscribing and my cable modem hasn't worked for a long time. The internet was all I needed. Now, I'm trying to cancel Xfinity and they are giving me the run around to avoid my cancellation notice. I've called and got disconnected with their automated voice, texted to a bad link they provided, chatted with their online assistant without any help, filled out their online cancel request form, waiting for their call back....NOTHING! Comcast has turned into perhaps the most FRUSTRATING and incompetent company I have dealt with the last year. It took over 7 hours over a period of 4 days to get them to activate as simple modem!!! The error was on their part, not mine. I had to spend another 62 minutes online to access my Xshitnity...er...I mean account and, of course, I had to change my username and password. One star only because I can't give it a negative rating. My cable went out 15 minutes ago without warning. I tried to text them using the direct-to-agent number they gave me. No answer. I called the main number: it told me to reboot the box (it already did that itself). When i refused to reboot a second time, it hung up on me. An agent finally answered my text and told me to call back tomorrow and refused to speak to me (texting for long periods of time is difficult for me) and told me i was rude and I should either call the main number (again, hung up on me once already) or ask for a callback (why should I if they're already right there?). A few weeks ago they moved a whole chunk of stations without prior notice. So I had no idea where 30+ channels went. Just an awful, awful company. Unfortunately Xfinity has a monopoly on internet and landline service in my area and so they abuse us: unauthorized additions to bill for features I don't want, weak internet signal in spite of new modem and new expensive service package. Trying to get help online is a nightmare-- you go round and round in endless robot loops. Impossible to reach a human being for help except for the occasional technician calling in from overseas who may try in vain to restore your service. I had scheduled an 8-10 appointment yet they never showed up even though the customer service person who called said the technician had been to my building and knocked on my door (how he did this a mystery to me as the door to my building is locked and people need to be buzzed or let in) but no one answered which I know is incorrect as I was right near the door of my apartment and no one knocked! I recently switched to Xfinity mobile for my cell phone, due to my age I find much of this stuff very mind-boggling and confusing. So I was hesitant to go to another company and to upgrade my phone very apprehensive, but made an appointment at Xfinity mobile Methuen mass I was greeted by a wonderful young lady Right as I entered the door. She spent two hours working very hard to help me resolve my passwords and complicated previous phone problems. She was well informed easy to follow and understood and gave very clear answers and instructions. She went on the call of duty. I was so impressed. Everything went with such cheese. I just couldn't believe it.. I now have my new phone. I have much more knowledge of a mobile phone thanks to this young lady and her name is Isis who is my first time dealing with phone stores with somebody actually knew the business and all about phones, nothing like I experienced in the past with phone stores and companies, it was a great experience, restored my faith and customer service and customer knowledge sincerely, Peter Giannini read more

UPDATE: Within a short time of posting this review, my service was prematurely terminated. Now having to deal with Comcast to reactivate it for two days so I can do my job. After experiencing about a dozen outages per day for about 9 months (fortunately we weren't living in the house yet for most of that time), I canceled my service with a waived early termination fee. I've been without Internet for a week, my girlfriend works remotely, and they've done absolutely nothing to help. I've tried 5 times to get help, and my girlfriend has called at least twice. My name is Kevin Perry. I live in Dorchester in a 3 decker home. I've been having issues w/my Comcast tv for quite sometime. It's always the same issue. Picture pixels get scrambled or TV goes black for a few seconds. I do the usual in home maintenance & when that doesn't work after dealing w/ an elongated frustrating automotive service it's usually resolved..for that moment.  Yesterday (8/4/21) around 12:30-1pm a service tech came to check on the Comcast box to resolve a reoccurring issue. He (Alex) fixed mine, but it wasn't long after he left my landlady alerted me that her TV was interrupted & the other tenants WIFI too. I was on the phone 40 minutes (mostly on HOLD) yesterday speaking to a robot-like customer service operator, James & an equally emotionless supervisor, Jay both who did NOTHING to address the problem! They kept giving me BS reasons why it was too late for another field tech to come here to fix Alex's screw up that day. The next day or a week is when another tech can be dispatched. UNACCEPTABLE..I demanded to speak to a MANAGER..While on another looooooong hold, AGAIN, waiting for supervisor's Mgr to assist, my call was dropped. I callEd again this morning,  5:11am customer service, Romy puts me on a 12 minute hold before call was dropped. My question to you is what else can I do besides having my blood pressure raise every time I call them? I'm totally canceling their over priced, incompetent, out-sourced asses!!!! Comcast/Xfinity SUCKS MAJOR A**!!!!! I'LL NEVER EVER USE THEM, AGAIN!!!! PEOPLE HEAR ME, DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Their customer service is super sweet. However, the mobile Internet didn't work in the middle of San Francisco. The uploading speed is 0.1 Mbps. The downloading speed is 0.5 Mbps. When you connect with their customer service, they ask you to reset your phone and reboot your mobile data. They are truly trying to help. However, it didn't last long. Next week I can assure you you will have exactly the same problem. I spent numerous hours talking to their support, but still, the problem remained the same. Trying to contact a person to TALK is is nearly impossible. Spent over 20 minutes in "automated" hell before finally getter a person to talk to. They owed me a refund and sent a LETTER to my current address informing me of this. But I had to ASK them to issue the refund, even thought they sent me a letter telling me I was owed this. So I go online and found it, but now they want to send it to my old address. I cannot update my address since I do not currently have an account with them. So I call and spend over 20 minutes trying to get a person to talk to since the system will not recognize me without a current account. So over 40 minutes of total time spent to ASK them to send me a refund to the address where they sent me a letter informing me of the money they owed me. read more

I have loved Xfinity for many years and many state moves but after the way I was spoke to by 3 different representatives and they wouldn't transfer to a manger was atrocious. I don't know what the training is like here but it is crazy for a representative to hang up on you because they can't answer a simple question. the question was Im starting new service and renting equipment do I bring the one from my old unit with me or is Xfinity mailing to the unit/ pickup in store? no one could answer the questiion, the only cared whether id pay the full balance up front even though im doing the monthly payment of $15. one of their names was Mike read more

poor communication when you call to speak to someone to get help , it's through a third party that doesn't speak English you can understand a word. no one that works in the stores can actually help you. I had to explain an issue and spoke to 3 different people 2 managers all different answers. no one knew what was actually going on.
