Before writing this review, I read others and was not surprised to see that many customers have experienced similar issues. I've been going to this place for a few years, and unfortunately, the owner, Tiffany, seems to have two different personalities. She can be cordial and nice one minute and then suddenly become rude, disrespectful, and mean, both to customers and her own staff. Every time I call or visit, she's either giving me attitude or micromanaging her employees in a harsh way. Nothing happens without her approval, including pricing, which varies each time. For a powder and regular pedicure, I often end up paying over $100 plus tips. 1. Scheduling Appointments: Even booking a simple appointment is a challenge. Depending on her mood, she can be rude, condescending, and has even hung up on me during calls. 2. Service Preferences: Once, I decided to switch manicurists after seeing one do a great job on a friend's nails. When I explained my choice, Tiffany lashed out at me, insisting I stick with my usual manicurist. She even yelled at me to leave if I wasn't happy, despite my service already starting. I was on the verge of tears, and the staff had to comfort me. She never apologized for this behavior. 3. Discounts: On my birthday, I mentioned receiving a message offering 10% off. Again, she responded with an attitude. 4. Points Program: She requires you to sign up for a points program, but despite accumulating many points, I've never been able to apply them to any service. 5. Unprofessional Service: On a recent visit, I was told Thao would do my manicure, and another person, who didn't speak any English, would do my pedicure. The pedicure was poorly done, with mismatched nail lengths and mistakes that required multiple people to fix. Despite the chaos, Tiffany insisted the new staff knew what they were doing. Thao, my manicurist, kept apologizing for the situation. In the end, my pedicure looked terrible, and when I voiced my frustration, Tiffany brushed me off, eventually telling me not to pay. I explained I didn't want a refund but rather wanted the pedicure redone by Thao. Even setting up this follow-up appointment was a hassle, as Tiffany rudely hung up when I accidentally called her cell phone. 6. Final Incident: When I called to schedule an appointment a week later, instead of addressing the issues, Tiffany blamed my manicurist, Thao, and suggested I go elsewhere, showing a complete lack of accountability. I put up with all this poor behavior because the salon is close to my home, and my seamstress is next door. I used to visit every 10 days because I liked my manicurists, Annie and later Thao, who are both skilled and kind. However, dealing with the owner's constant negativity and unprofessionalism has become unbearable. I'm relieved not to deal with her anymore and look forward to going to the nail studio across the street--the one she often badmouthed. Your response once again reflects your awful demeanor. It's pathetic and full of lies. Everything I stated in my review is the truth, and anyone who reads it will at least be warned. While they do quality gel pedicures, BIAB & X nails lack the quality now, unfortunately. It's a shame because I've brought both of my parents, husband, son & friends to X Nails but after my last visit I likely won't be back for a while. My nails are bumpy, a hair is trapped underneath the polish & when I brought it to the owners attention she asked the manicurist to fix my nails which she didn't feel like doing. So instead she made some snide remark in Vietnamese, cackled & I got up. She assumed because I don't speak Vietnamese that I wouldn't understand the tone. I paid for the services for my son & I, tipped the other ladies then left. This was the second incident, I won't allow a third so I'll go elsewhere. read more

My gel nails are chipping and it's less than a week. Toe nails are cut and filed crookedly as well. Maybe I'm a new customer so I wasn't given that special attention. I debated on whether to write this, because I usually just like to take the high road and not get involved in negative energy if I can avoid it - however here it is. Today was my third time in the salon. I feel like there should be a disclaimer on the door that reads : ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. Tiffany, the apparent "manager" of this place has been rude to me each and every time I go in and clearly has extreme anger issues. For this review, I will just focus on today's intensely unpleasant experience. I had an appointment at 10AM with Jay. Jay is an excellent nail tech, and I was willing to endure the wrath of Tiffany to get my nails done by him. I walked in at 9:55AM as the back door was open. Tiffany was chomping on her food at the front desk, glanced at me, glared and them promptly continued her meal. I was almost afraid to talk to her as the energy was ICE COLD, but I told her I had an appointment. She screamed at me that my appointment was at 10 and pointed aggressively at the clock on the wall. Then she rudely directed me to take a seat. I asked if they had nail stickers and she responded with more venom "Yes we have stickers", however walked away and never got them to show me. I saw some samples on the counter that looked new and interesting, so I picked them up when she walked away. Jay arrived at 10 and guided me to a seat. I showed him the color I wanted from the swatch and he got up to ask her where it was (at this point she was doing a manicure on someone). She rotated her head like Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" and screamed again: "Those are only SAMPLES! We don't have those colors". Then she proceeded to berate Jay. I asked about the nail stickers and she was visibly irritated once again, because she had to get up to find them. At this point I was very uncomfortable and rattled and chose another color off the swatch of "available" colors. After it was finished, it looked NOTHING like the color I chose. Jay told me that I cannot go off of the swatches because those colors are not painted on human hands and therefore look different. I have NEVER encountered this issue before and this is not my first time at this rodeo! He knew I was unhappy, however did not offer to change it for me - and frankly I wanted out of the minefield ASAP. I got up to pay and Tiffany again shouted: "Go to the OTHER SIDE of the counter!". I guess my positioning set her off as well? The final insult was after she watched me tap in a tip on the credit card iPad only to accuse me of not reading the sign that says "cash only" tips. I am a pleasant person and am always polite when I go anywhere. What I cannot wrap my mind around is being treated with such blatant disrespect and animosity!! How hard is it to just be nice?? To be kind? I can understand having a bad day, but I have seen her in action prior to this. It is very upsetting and ultimately, I feel very sorry for her. It definitely ruined my morning and I paid $61.00 for a manicure I hate, but I will never subject myself to that treatment again. Life is too short! read more

X Nails is the previous Island Nails. I had been a customer of Island Nails since they first opened and loved them. I was sad to see the previous owners go but Tiffany is just amazing. She is so kind, and her team is just as amazing. I missed an appointment last week and felt horrible about wasting their time. I called to reschedule and apologize but Tiffany was so understanding and kind about it. I started getting dip powder with Jay and he's incredible. My nails don't do well with gel and they peel fairly quickly (not the salons fault, my nails are just too oily) and the powder works great for me. Jay takes his time and makes sure each nail is perfect. They're also very clean and the new chairs/tables look fantastic. read more
