As a Jamaican, flavor is important to me, and after Tammy left, I noticed the jerk chicken just wasn't the same. The "jerk" was no longer jerking, so I stopped coming for a while. However, because of the exceptional customer service that Angie and Tammy have always provided to me and my coworkers, I decided to stop by and see Angie and give the jerk chicken another try. To my surprise, Tammy had returned! During my visit, I learned that the jerk sauce had been removed from the chicken because some customers found it too spicy. As someone who appreciates authentic Caribbean flavors, I felt the spice and seasoning were what made it so good. Tammy and Angie went above and beyond by offering to add the jerk sauce on the side or mix it directly into my bowl. That simple accommodation made all the difference. The flavor I had been missing was back, and so was my love for Pita Bowl.
