Jomar was fantastic. He was very prompt in communication and easy to collaborate with. I hired Jomar to remove some large builtins and reroute some wires and hang a tv in a tricky space. He provided a very fair estimate and did everything very thoroughly. Planning on working with him again and would highly recommend! read more

Jomar is the best! This is the second time I have used him and what a help he is. Jomar is professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable. He works hard and does excellent work as well as honest. I would use Jomar again in the heart beat and so should you. read more

After consulting with several handymen, Jomar provided the most reasonable estimate at the outset. He was also the most responsive and communicative. He was highly professional and took the time to explain the rationale for his pricing. As far as the job itself, Jomar was on time, diligent, professional, and pleasant to spend a few hours with. I find him to be highly trustworthy. I couldn't ask for more out of a handyman. Accordingly, I would not hesitate to utilize Jomar's services again and recommend him to others. read more

My partner and I live in a loft apartment. 3 of the very tall walls were brick covered in old flaking paint. The loft we live in is pretty janky (NYC style), so we weren't looking for an expensive strip and repaint job. We wanted to seal in the flakes with a new fresh paint and forget about it. I wasn't sure how we'd find someone to do this, until we came across Wow NYC Handy Men. Jomar was quick to respond, and came by for an estimate. Jomar gave us a very reasonable quote, so we decided to go for it! We wanted to be out of the apartment while the painting was being done, and Jomar was very flexible and accommodating with our schedules. We gave him a key, and he and his team did a beautiful job while we were gone. We really love it. Jomar was very professional and easy to work with. I'd hire Wow NYC Handy Men again for any job. read more

I moved to my new home and called Jomar for assembly tv stand, chest drawer, frames, plant hangers etc. He did FANTASTIC job! He is super professional, careful, kind and super friendly. He did amazing job in 5 hours. If I need help, I'll definitely call him again. Absolutely five stars! read more

I'm never picking up a drill again. Jomar was awesome. Not only did he do a beautiful job but he talked me through the choices he made and why (like what kind of anchors he used because of how the wall was built). Super friendly, wore a mask, efficient and on time, really cannot say enough. We're currently looking through the house to see what else we can have him do! read more

Jomar came in and hung several paintings in my apt. He worked with precision and speed using a laser sight to ensure everything was lined up. The anchors he used were perfect for the art i have such that they stay i their position and level. He also provided good feedback and suggestions in terms of where he would place the art which was great advice. All this for a fair price and flexible scheduling. Jomar is a no brainer. read more

I had bought some shelves I wanted to hang above my bed. While I usually pretty handy, I wasn't confident I could hang 4 in a row to make them all totally even spaced out properly and level. I started looking for a handyman, and came across this business. I was slightly unsure about having a stranger in my place, but this business had good reviews So I went for it . So Glad I did! Jomar was my handyman, he got my shelves hung exactly as I wanted them . He were quick, professional and extremely friendly. I will certainly be keeping this business and number handy, incase i need help with another job in the future. Very Happy! read more

These guys are great! Had a last minute paint job that I needed done asap. They were able to come and complete the job right away. And they did an awesome job! Jeff was my painter and he was super communicative. I was across the country, but he made sure to keep me apprised of his progress all along the way. Their rates were super reasonable as well. Calling him on the phone and leaving him a message of the job and he responds to me by text. Now I need explain my whole situation again by text. That's fine even so. Then I explain to him for an hour back and forth thru text the situation and he gives me a ball park price, it seems like we're a go on the job, I told him your hired. gave him the address and then asked him what days are you available, no response. It's been since yesterday morning. Time is money. Even if he needed to think it over, still a long time. At least tell me sorry we're not going to do your job and make up some story, or give me a heads up that he hasn't forgotten about me. With all those great yelp reviews it has me scratching my head. but to leave me high and dry is not cool. Responding to his reply to my review and I'm done, no time for this petty stuff. He told me that his text to me didn't go thru, I told him on text, screen shot the text that didn't go thru and send it to me and I'll remove my yelp review. He didn't. He was not even apologetic. Narcissis. The end. Updated, Now your taking it to the next level, I don't know how you got those 5 stars. All your family probanly. You talk about bad karma. You will be judged appropriately. For future bro, if you come off right to mistakes that you made is a better approach and most likely I would of removed this review, throwing lies, accusations and turning this on me did not help you at all. read more

Jomar was great! Excellent work and easy from beginning to end. He put up big curtain rods for us on our windows and even had a plastic bag to catch the dust from the drilling! Highly recommended. read more

I met Jomar after contacting another painting company that was too busy and referred me to Jomar's team. I was a little hesitant at first and asked for some references which Jomar had no problems supplying. Everyone had only glowing things to say about him and since he offered to paint our place over the weekend (and thereby letting us move in that much faster!) we went with his company. All the reviews are spot on! Jomar gets 5 stars for 5 reasons: 1. GREAT at communication. He was very responsive to me (replying within minutes most of the time) and he e-mailed/texted status updates, even if it was just to say that he would be 10 minutes late. This also shows how incredibly on time he generally is. If he says he'll be there, he'll be there. 2. Flexible and willing to go the extra mile. We needed some furniture moved to our basement and he and his team were gracious about doing it for us. He was really nice about meeting up with me on my schedule for random things (picking up a copy of the keys, picking up the payment, etc.) 3. Beautiful work. He obviously pays attention to detail and takes pride in his work. The paint job was perfect. Completely uniform and no stray paint anywhere. 4. Fast! He was able to get 2 other guys to help him on a Saturday and they were done painting the walls by 4pm. Incredible. 5. Honest. Jomar gave me a quote for the labor and then e-mailed me copies of all the receipts for the materials. I didn't even have to put down a deposit and didn't pay Jomar until the week after he was done because he wanted to make sure we had time to look at the job and be happy with it before paying him. He really stands by his work! Highly recommend! His pricing was middle of the range of the price quotes we received but I think worth it because of the ease of planning, speed of execution (and ability to work weekends), and quality of work. read more

Reliable, thorough, very fairly priced (the best we found yet): you cannot find a better handy man business in, I firmly believe, the entire NYC area. We have been on the hunt for a go-to person for years now.. no one in our entire condo association has found anyone. I was very excited to finally let everyone know that their search can stop and that they should just call Jomar. He refinished our bathroom with such attention-to-detail and professionalism that I have not seen in ages. He was also a cat and toddler magnet; the toddler portion being the most impressive since she literally won't go within 10 feet of anyone else but her parents these days. Anyone other than Jomar that is. Wondering if he offers babysitting in his handyman repertoire... So, he's good at his job, babies and animals love him, and oh yeah - he also goes above and beyond. For example, my husband had to go away for work somewhat unexpectedly. So Jomar rearranged his schedule to ensure that he would work in such a way that his work for us would line up with our trash day and he would bring the bulk items all down to the curb for me. That way, I wasn't stuck with an old sink and old cabinets in my already tiny living space for days until my husband returned and we had a trash day. I didn't even ask him to do this and it had to be after normal work day hours so that we would comply with NYC trash removal rules. He just made this connection on his own that that was going to happen and insisted on working it out for me. And another thing - remember I said fairly-priced? Well, he had given me a guesstimate with the understanding that it depended on a few factors. So I was prepared to spend more than he thought, just in case. The job did end up taking longer than we initially anticipated. Even still, he insisted that we only pay him for one extra hour - rather than the 5 or 6 extra hours it actually, cumulatively, took. (Stupid spackle and hidden junked up wall.) We feared him selling himself short so we gave a good tip - but GEEEZ!!!! And, finally, the attention to detail really impressed me. I'll admit I am a pain in the butt nitpicker. Constructions guys, plumbers, electricians, my husband... sometimes they straight up hate me. I notice everything. I insist on things being redone if not done properly the first time. This was the first time EVER that the person I hired covered all his bases... and even saw things that I had missed! My husband thanked him for adding years of happiness back onto our marriage. ;) Really, he's the best. He really cares about doing a good job, all around. And that's why I am writing this review.. even though secretly my husband and I prefer we got to keep him all to ourselves. Not even trying to be creepy. We are just SO impressed. read more

I was looking all over for a painter that would tackle a small job. Jeff the gentleman that came to paint a bedroom in queens was more then professional he arrived early which is always good start. Jeff got straight to work upon entering the apartment he offered his advice on colors and and asked for my input as well. Jeff removed all the residue and patched my walls especially one large crack that he patched so well I can't remember exact where it was on the wall. The price was reasonable given the extent of the job. The project was projected to take 2 days and Jeff stayed later then he actually wanted to in order to complete the job in one day. Working through his break. The thing I especially like about there service was they left the materials that they purchased to complete the job. (a lot of other companies charge you for materials and then keep them to use for other jobs) something that is a pet peeve of mine. I would definitely recommend their service and I'm actually inquiring about another job with them that I needed completed in the coming weeks. Amazing job read more

I can't speak highly enough about Wow NYC Handy Men. I hired Jomar to paint the living room of my new apartment prior to my move-in and he was wonderful. He answered all of my (many) questions, even prior to my officially booking him for the job, and was very helpful and responsive. On the day he painted, he arrived early, and was efficient and a pleasure to work with. Also, he was clearly not just out to make a buck - we had originally discussed him doing the baseboards and trim as well, but when he showed up he told me he didn't think it was necessary, thereby saving me an additional $150 that came out of his pocket. I greatly appreciated his honesty and integrity about this. The paint looks gorgeous and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend Wow NYC Handy Men to anyone looking to do some home improvements, and will definitely be contacting them again for any future painting and handyman work I need done. read more

Jomar is incredible - given the level of service and professionalism he displayed from the minute we began communicating, I was confident he would do a good job . . . he did a great job! He came all the way from Brooklyn to Jersey City on a Sunday morning and mounted/installed two televisions, a sound bar, two pieces of art and three pictures for us. His experience and ability was immediately evident and his attention to detail is second to none. We could not be happier with how everything turned out - perfectly level, exactly where we wanted it and, most importantly, secure. I highly recommend Jomar - his personable nature, quality of work and first-class communication are unmatched! read more

Jomar was amazing. I needed to have a wired closet system installed as well as a rail desk on the wall. He was professional yet personable. He came prepared with the right tools and heavy duty bolts that I didn't even think of asking! The anchors and plastic bolts that came with my expensive rail desk apparently weren't up to task. It would have likely fell down within a few days with my laptops and heavy books on top. Thankfully he was able to switch them out with the more heavy duty ones he brought. His knowledge gave me a peace of mind, all the reasons to hire him back for future jobs I need done in my new apt! Thanks jomar! read more

I've been working with Jomar for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about him. He's helped me with installing shelves, hooks, racks, etc, painting, light electrical and plumbing in my own home and on multiple interior design installations. He's talented, meticulous and resourceful - always helpful and accommodating with whatever kind of job or task I've thrown at him. His pricing is fair and transparent. He responds quickly. I've referred him to many of my clients, friends and colleagues and they continue to sing his praises. I feel lucky to have found him and will continue to seek out his help. read more

This is incredibly overdue ... I've been furnishing my home for the last few months and Jomar has been helping me with many projects, and only now I've had the chance to write this. Jomar is nothing short of amazing. He's incredibly professional, meticulous, patient, courteous, honest, fair and simply a great guy to deal with. He and his team are truly professionals and can work on many projects, no matter the task, and do them well. I painted my apartment not once, or twice, but three times (!!) in the span of a week (... yeah I had a tough time liking the color choice I made) - but Jomar and team were totally understanding and worked overtime to keep me happy. And even after painting the apartment a third time, he asked if I was happy or wanted to change it. Like wow! In addition, I've worked with Jomar on other handyman related work including hanging very large mirrors, installing a chandelier, paintings, drapes, and some electrical work. In the midst of all his other projects - I'm sure many larger in scope than mine - he continues to find the time to come and help me with my tasks. (And also FYI the massive mirrors he hung, I called and asked him to move a few inches lower - not his fault, I just wanted lower because I didn't like my original placement - he was totally fine coming back to redo the work and lower them.) Again wow! I can't thank him enough for his work, and he will definitely be my go-to guy for anything going forward. And by the way he's super fair with his prices. He knows the market, the scope, and what's fair and will charge you just that. (I know others out there I'll try and gouge you on price.) Thanks Jomar for making big headaches simply a breeze for me! read more

He is professional and very personable. Highly skilled, meticulous and top-notch! Definitely recommend!!! read more

A few years ago I had an electrician install a Moroccan chandelier in our bedroom. We then ended up redecorating and moving the bedroom to a different room. After hearing great things about Jomar and his company, I hired him to come move the chandelier to the new location. He was very efficient, clean and friendly. He was able to swap both light fixtures with no issues and he even fixed the aesthetics of the chandelier where the original electrician left an eyesore of the entire chain hanging. Jomar politely asked if I was happy with the length and if he would like me to clean up the chain by removing the excess links. Now the light fixture looks awesome in the new room. We couldn't be happier!! read more

Jomar has been my go-to handyman for more than six years -- from getting my son's nursery ready, to moving into a new house and patching up those odds and ends that you get stuck with. He tackles a job like it was his own property and stays until it's finished. Unlike a lot of contractors or professional handymen out there, he isn't about the upsell, he's about getting it right. For anything painting, hanging, installing, or even just changing a lightbulb (15 feet in the air), Jomar is the man. Highest recommendation. read more
