I spoke with Damian. He was excellent, very honest and helpful.. I highly recommend this company.

Working with Damian and his team has been a pleasure. We emailed for a quote and he asked some questions and for some photos of the space. (Every other person we emailed for a quote did the same. None came to visit, and with COVID I was cool with that.) His quote was consistent with most of the other highly rated folk we reached out to for quotes. What set him apart was his clear emails with detailed pricing. It was clear that he knew painting was expensive, and people imagine doing everything at once and think of it as all-or-nothing. His pricing model showed it was some-at-a-time. (We did go all in though :) ) He was very responsive on email and answered questions from the mundane to the esoteric with patience and clarity. He came the day before the job was supposed to start to drop off supplies and map out everything that was should happen with me and his team. His team was great, polite, and professional. The speed and quality of the work was amazing. Everyone was happy to answer questions and explain what was happening. For me, the true test was with an accident that happened. Relatively minor, but Damian took full ownership and made it right without any discussion. That is how you do it. He gave great advice throughout the process, and respected what I needed. Have already asked for quotes on additional spaces in the house. Highly recommend. read more

Damian and his team did an excellent job painting our master bedroom. He was thorough with his assessment of the job and was helpful in answering questions before starting the project. His team sanded down closets and patched up holes from the past owner. Very detail oriented, and we're happy with the work. Definitely recommend! read more

They painted our apartment and did a great job. It was great working with Shlomi.

Damien and team did a great job! very professional and cost effective

We just had our 2 bedroom unit painted with pretty much every surface (ceilings, trim, doors, etc.) painted as well as significant drywall repair work from recent electrical work done. Damian and his team were very thorough and efficient, finishing everything ahead of schedule and looking great! I would highly recommend them and I will be using them if I need a painter again in the future. read more

Damian is a general. Right on time, he and his small but mighty army appeared for work. The mission: a pantry, a triangular living room, and a veeeery long hallway desperately in need of plaster and painting. Damian estimated 4-7 days of work. But his team is very professional and efficient. They completed everything in 5 days. I highly recommend his work for anyone seeking a quick but polished finish to any home improvement project. read more

Damian and his crew are great. He came out on a national holiday (St. Patrick's Day) and definitely knows his stuff. He walked me through all of my options and set expectations for what each type of paint and each price point would yield. Even though it took me a few days to schedule with my building, Damian was in quickly and sooner than he quoted, the job was beautifully done. My walls, doors, and molding look amazing and he repaired some prior water damage in my bathroom all for a reasonable price. I can't recommend him and his team enough and if I need painting again, I know where to go. 212-PAINTER. read more

Sooo ecstatic with the results! Damian was a great communicator and was able to come and look at my apartment to see what he would be working with right away. He walked me through every step of the process which I fully appreciated! He was able to get the necessary paperwork done quickly and painted the following day. He repaired walls and painted my apartment in two days! I am thrilled with the results!! Damian and his team are very kind, punctual, professional and do amazing work! Damian and his crew did an excellent job with my apartment. They sent me a detailed, itemized quote before beginning the job, and Damian answered my questions promptly as we scheduled. I didn't have to worry about the paint, which was a huge relief. The crew showed up on time every day, they were super organized, and they finished the job even quicker than expected. The painting itself looked perfect. I would definitely recommend them if you are interested in having your place painted! read more

Damian and his crew were great. Right on time, finished early, and the room looks amazing! Damian came and gave advice and an accurate estimate, and was able to schedule our job on short notice. Would definitely recommend! read more

We recently had our entire new construction apartment in Queens painted by Damian's team. I was apprehensive to have the apartment painted while living in the space. I am so glad we hired this team, as the painters did a wonderful job prepping in advance and cleaning after each room was completed. The process was as painless as possible! Damian was also very helpful in educating us about paint and process, including picking out the right paint type for our walls and trim based on lighting and durability (no more builder's flat white)! Absolutely recommend! read more

I am thankful to have found 212-Painter on Yelp. I was looking to get my apartment interior walls, bathroom wall tiles, and kitchen cabinets painted within a very short period of time, and Damian and his team were very accommodating of my schedule. This being my very first time getting my apartment painted, I especially appreciated that Damian swung by a few days before getting the work actually started and provided thorough explanation on each step of the process they will take as well as amazing consultation on the different types of paint I should consider using for each purpose. He even picked up the paints for me. I'd definitely reach out to Damian again next time I need help with painting. read more

This was my first time ever painting an apartment and I was nervous. I needed my whole living room & master bedroom painted plus an accent wall. It was a big investment but Damian was great and my job turned out better than I expected! Damian responded to all my emails quickly and it was easy to set up on appointment for an estimate. He thoroughly explained how he measured the sq footage of my job, how much it would cost and what paint he recommended. He even went to pick up the paint so I wouldn't have to transport 6 gallons by myself! A++ customer service. His price was competitive and the results are totally worth it. I'm very happy I chose this company and will use them again in the future! Thank you for transforming my new apartment into a home! read more

Damian was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and was very clear about the various options. I truly valued his guidance regarding Regal vs Ultra Spec and Eggshell versus Matte. We ended up going with Regal Simply White Eggshell and are happy with the choice! His team was done ahead of schedule and the work was exactly as promised. read more

After receiving five quotes, I'm pleased to report we decided on Damian. His price was reasonable. He was very easy to work with, always quick to respond and accommodating. His staff were professional. They finished the job faster than anticipated. I would 100% recommend Damian to friends and family without hesitation. read more

My building is super specific insurance requirements, and Damian got the COI taken care of quickly and right the first time. The invoice price was the same as the quote price, which sets 212 above the competition. Work was done quickly, thoroughly and satisfactorily. You can probably find a lower price, but, in my opinion 212 is worth every penny. read more

Reviews are spot on. This company is the best and very professional. Damian and his team are only focused on making the customer happy and doing a fabulous job. I had a short timeframe to paint my new apartment before moving in. He had a team ready to go with all the necessary paperwork for my building. He was honest about details, expectations and very clear if anything would increase costs. His price is reasonable and the team did such a fabulous job. Clean lines and attention to detail. I've never been happier. Highly recommend this company. In addition Damian responds to my emails, calls and texts all the time. He never left me waiting and kept me up to date on progress. read more

My wife and I were in the process of renovating a loft space which the previous tenants had done a horrific job caring for. The space is very large for NYC standards (~1800 sq ft) and has an industrial vibe, making it less than straightforward to paint: there are 15' ceilings that are not flat or uniformly distributed. I reached out to about 10 painters I had identified on Yelp to begin vetting them for reviews and from the moment Damian stepped into the apartment, the distinction between him and the others was palpable. Whereas other painters I was getting estimates from focused on immediately trying to sell me on what a good job they would do, Damian focused first on thoroughly understanding the job, and what we were hoping to achieve with the space. He took detailed measurements before providing any estimates (which I was happy to see; after reading stories about others who had given deposits to lesser painters, only to see hidden charges emerge down the line, I wanted to ensure the estimates I received would be inclusive and accurate). After outlining the job to Damian, and hearing his plan of attack, which included a detailed strategy to eliminate oil stains that had seeped through the floor above us, Damian came back with his quote. As this job was large, the most efficient way to paint the space would be to tape the floors off and spray everything. Although his quote was a little bit higher than some of the other painters I spoke with (some of which were impossibly low and gave me a knot in my stomach anticipating the BS these guys were sure to pull down the line had they gotten the job) I chose Damian and am very happy I did. No job is straightforward, but I didn't pay a penny over what we had agreed upon and, furthermore, Damian was focused on making sure the job was a) done perfectly and b) completed to accommodate our timeline (our old lease was coming to a close, so we only had about 4 days to do everything). Damian even came back a couple days later with one of his guys to put an additional coat on one section of wall for no additional charge. The space is now beautiful and I attribute that in large part to the job Damian and his team did. I would use Damian again in a heartbeat and strongly recommend his services to anyone looking for a painter in the NY area! read more

I was desperate. There had been massive flood damage in my dining room on top of already peeling 20-year old paint that I somehow hadn't managed to get to, and now after staring at it all day, every day, from my covid office (dining room) the building manager had finally sent a painter. It was a disaster, and I had to ask him to leave. He kept saying "I'm only paid to treat these three spots." (Three separate leaks.). Meanwhile you can be sure paint was separating and falling from the walls in more than three spots(the building is 100 years old this year!), not to mention the water damage stains were epic and he did nothing to treat them. There I was with filth everywhere and no obvious solution to the problem or end in sight, and I was desperate. I called the first number that came up in google and it went from the worst day to my lucky day, because Damian answered the phone. Damian is like the paint whisperer. There is so much more to painting than you ever thought to imagine, and he knows all of it. First thing he did was talk me down from my panic, and then he saved me. Damian sent Chris. Chris examined every surface, scraped like a maniac and then plastered like the pro that he is. He was such a perfectionist about his work, and demonstrated an amazing work ethic. So friendly and thoughtful. Not only was he making magic happen in my dining room, but he left a tidy work site each day. I had the great fortune to have Chris on the project for three days, and he took me from I've no idea how this will get done to I cannot believe I will get to live in this room. Damian stopped by and then checked in each day. Did we need anything? How's it going? Sometimes you know fate has brought you to this moment you are in, and I think that after two decades of an increasingly hideous dining room I am meant to have this beautiful space that I am delighted to be in. This is entirely due to Damian Judge and his ninja painter Chris. If you want professional painters who know exactly what they are doing, delivering service with efficiency and skill towards a gorgeous outcome, treat yourself. Look no further. I found Damian via Yelp and after reading all the amazing reviews, I decide to reach out for an estimate. He was very timely with his email response, initial estimate and even came out to see my apartment (with his painter) prior to doing the work. He was professional from start to finish. After the living room was complete, Damian did a walkthrough of the entire place to ensure everything was done to the best quality. He had a few touch ups done before leaving the place in tip top shape. They were fast, excellent in terms of quality and really made sure that I was happy with the final product. I will definitely call him again when I'm ready to paint my bedroom. I highly recommend using them if you're looking for great quality painting at a fair/competitive price. Damian and his team were outstanding in terms of professionalism, quality, speed and value! Damian and his team kept every promise and overdelivered. My job was large and complex job with 24' ceilings in Brooklyn that required scaffolding. Damian and his team spent countless hours prepping surfaces, patching, caulking and sanding before an outstanding paint finish. They used a combination of spraying, rolling and brushing to paint the space perfectly. I could not be happier with the job! I cannot more highly recommend Damian and his team! They are incredible! read more

I reached out to Damian after seeing the reviews on Yelp. He stopped by my apt to give me an estimate of a job I wanted done the next day. He was very open and professional. He measured and calculated each room and explained everything to me as he was doing it. Once we agreed on price he and the crew came out the next morning and knocked out the project in half the time of the original estimate. When the project was completed Damian checked in to make sure I was happy. I didn't pay until the job was over and I was happy. Prices are reasonable, he's not the cheapest but that's a good thing. I have worked with cheap before and it's not worth it. You want it done right the first time. I would highly recommend Damian! read more

Damian and his team did a stellar job at our NYC office space on 3 separate occasions. He is seamless to work with, did a great job of matching our Pantone company colors and got all jobs done in a flash with our tight timelines. Needed my small office space in Manhattan painted. Damian made the entire process as user friendly and professional as you can get. He came to my office on the same day I initially called and provided a very reasonable estimate that evening. Once 212 was selected, he provided the necessary paperwork for the building and our General Council very quickly. Came through with that exact paint my boss and I requested and then had his crew apply it in the office the following week. Two-thirds of the job was finished in day 1 and the entire project was completed in the early afternoon of day 2. My colleagues and I were able to work with minimal distraction as the 212 crew scraped, painted, applied touch-ups and cleaned up what turned out to be a very thorough and outstanding job. I've been meaning to write this review for a year now but after hiring Damian again and watching him work his magic, this time I am compelled to. Damian has painted white walls (walls you can write on and erase) for my corporate office on two separate occasions. Both times he did a fantastic job, was in and out quickly and is always available after if you have any questions. Truthfully, I barely have any because he is very professional and excellent at what he does. It's very hard to find a genuine professional these days but Damian is an outlier. I look forward to working with him again. read more

Couldn't be happier with the paint job Damien and his team did on my new apartment. They painted all walls, doors, trim, and even repainted my dull looking wood cabinets a bright white. I found Damian via Yelp, and after reading through all of the excellent reviews, contacted him right away. Communication with Damian was smooth, and convenient, as he was available by phone and email. He stopped by the office to give me a last min estimate of the office. Very approachable and professional. He showed the office staff exactly how he measures and calculates each room. Paint was done to our liking & kept our carpeted office clean. We were invoiced after the completion, as Damian didn't want to invoice us until we were satisfied. I would highly recommend Damian and his team to other small businesses in NYC! read more
