Could not have more great things to say about George and his team! I hired George after I had multiple floor to ceiling mirrored wall panels removed and needed the walls behind them repaired and painted. Because of some other renovation hiccups, I had to postpone a couple of times and George was more than accommodating and even squeezed me in last minute when I was ready to go. My building is a bit of a nightmare. And unless you use their recommendation, gives everyone contractor a crazy hard time, including sending George and his employee Dan away the first time they came. Despite this, George and Dan could not have been more flexible and nicer about it. I have not had them paint yet, as I'm waiting to have some other work completed first (will update when they are), but I am so excited for when they do because the repaired walls look so much better already!! read more

Had a great experience! Paint job came out great and they completed the job in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

George and his team were very professional, communicative, responsive, and upfront about costs and expectations. Limewash for a bedroom is a bold choice with a very specific technique and they knocked it out of the park. They were very patient with my wife and I as we took our time to choose the right colors and schedule the job around our unpredictable schedules. The first time we saw the room finished we were awe struck. It turned out 100 times better than we ever thought it could have. On top of that the team was very receptive to doing any and all small, detailed touchups that we requested. George even let us live with the room for a few days to make sure we were totally satisfied, and in that time, we realized that we wanted to redo the ceiling. He and his team came back the next week and re-did the ceiling in half a day and made sure we were happy with it. We are very detail oriented and picky clients but we always felt taken care of with George and his team. Overall great experience. read more

I had such a positive experience working with Sandoukas on a paint, wallpaper and moulding job for my client. The quoting and communication with Jimmy was seamless and transparent and also the most competitive price point I found among several other companies. They took the time to make multiple site visits to confirm the work, and took care to ensure my client and I were fully briefed before starting. The end product exceeded our expectations and took a lot of precision to ensure the measurements and leveling was correct. I'm so looking forward to the next chance I get to work with this team! Great job and thank you so much! read more

Unlike many contractors they were responsive and prompt when scheduling and were on time on the day of the project. The work itself was high quality. In addition considerable effort was made to minimize mess and disruption which was greatly appreciated. read more

This review is long longgg overdue, but I have nothing but positive reviews for this business. I had moved back in late-January (yes, yes I know it is almost June) and had only a few days to find a painter for my new place. I did a lot of research but George and crew were the most polite and communicative of any company I reached out to for quotes, and communication is everything! They also had immediate openings/availability and it was fun to talk about paint colors and styles for my new apartment! Can't believe it took less than 8 hours to come in, put up tape all throughout a 1 bedroom, paint, let it dry. Really outstanding job - very easy to talk to and ask questions about anything. Will definitely use again! Highly recommend. read more

I found George after researching painting reviews on Google and Yelp and I'm so glad I did! From my first inquiry, George called me to talk through the project (painting my living room). He then followed up multiple times as jumping through hoops with my coop proved to be challenging. George was patient, flexible and understanding with their requirements and scheduling the work. Once scheduled, he confirmed his day/time of arrival and brought my chosen paint color with him (I had chosen it on Pinterest and sent him the pics!). I also needed 8 large TV anchor holes sanded and patched. George and his partner Jimmy (who are SO sweet, btw!) started around 10am and were finished by 1:30pm! They were kind, professional, communicative and efficient. I am working from home and was able to work in the kitchen while they tackled the living room. The work is precise - important for a paint job! You can see from the pics the anchor holes were patched and filled and you can't even tell they were there. George has the experience to tackle any job, and his pricing is extremely fair. This job took less than 1 can of paint! I could not be more pleased and highly recommend him as your next painter. You will not be disappointed! Thanks George and Jimmy! read more

Exactly what I was looking for. Got the job done. reliable and fast communication. Would recommend

Great job. He was responsive and efficient. Left us the rest of the paint he did not use.

Our experience with Sandoukas Painting was excellent. We had a very tight timeline and our building has a lot of protocols (it's an infamously difficult building), but George was incredibly responsive and went out of his way to make sure all the documents were together. George was out of town during the only days we could have the apartment painted, so he had his team come in. They were excellent. Very responsive and the work looked great. We are so happy that we decided to have professionals paint the apartment and that we chose Sandoukas Painting to do the work. read more

I hired Sandoukas Painting to paint my entire apartment before I moved back in. It's an old building so the walls are uneven and have a lot of bumps and flaws. They came in and not only painted but smoothed out all of the walls. Their attention to detail was noticeable and they took great care of my place to ensure paint didn't get anywhere but where we wanted it to be. I couldn't be happier with the results, my prewar apartment now feels like new construction!! read more

George and his team were awesome. Stop shopping around and talk to them now and thank me later. They were professional, very affordable, and didn't leave until the job was done right and left without a trace or cleanup for me to worry about. I had them paint my old apartment and the one I just moved into because they were so great. They aren't like other painters who throw up a couple of coats and run away without checking their work. They stayed to do touch up work and even offered to come back in the daylight during the following days in case the light played tricks on my not so flat walls. Highly recommended, glad I gave them a shot! read more

George and Jimmy make an excellent team. They were prompt, professional, and communicative! They answered all of our questions about the process and were super quick on sending our building's management agent a copy of their Certificate of Insurance. After the job was done, our apartment never looked better! Unlike other contractors we have hired in the past, George and his team cleaned up afterwards! Our walls were a mess and I know they must have done a lot of sanding, but there was minimal dust. And they were quick too! All I can say is, "Great Job!" read more

Jimmy and George gave me an impossibly perfect experience. This was my first time using professional painters instead of painting a new apartment myself and it was worth every penny. Their estimate was very reasonable and included paint which saved me an errand (or multiple most likely). They were incredibly efficient and also fun to chat with and within 24 hours of moving I had gorgeous paint on the walls and leftover paint in case I ever need to touch something up after a scuff. They also offered to do any touch ups for free if I noticed anything but I didn't. A few weeks later I'm still so in love with the color and their work! I'll continue to go to them in the future and recommend them to friends. read more

I rarely right a review but when I do I have to feel they are exceptional. That said: This morning I got up and thought, gee my apartment looks pretty. And then I remembered that I hadn't given credit where it was due. George and his team painted our apartment last summer. It was not an easy job: high ceilings, 14 windows, 19 doors etc etc. I usually do my own painting because I am picky and a bit frugal. Anyway, I was terribly nervous as I have seen painters paint over wires, switch plates etc. As soon as George stepped into our apartment and evaluated the situation, I felt relief. He had a confidence that overrode my fears. Most people I hire point out details of why the job is difficult. No one wants to hear that! They want solutions. He is very particular and when in doubt about something he always asked. If he came in one day and thought a spot could look better, he fixed it. Even our cat loved him and she is a harsh judge indeed The job took well over a week and instead of being excited that it was coming to an end, I was a bit sad because I enjoyed having him in our home. On the last day I asked if he and his associate would have a drink and snacks downstairs, (we live above a bar). I'm sure 2 tired men covered in paint would have preferred a shower and some rest but my husband, daughter and I had a lovely time getting to know them better. And by the way, the price was great. I had gotten several bids before George, but none after. Next time we move, and we move A LOT, I won't panic when I see a fuchsia bedroom or black trim. I have George! read more

I was impressed by the Sandoukas Painting team from start to finish. Communication was excellent and the whole team was skilled and trustworthy. The job ended up involving replacing a portion of the bathroom ceiling - they tackled some tricky carpentry and plastering in addition to painting. The finish work was really good, too. I highly recommend this team for your next job. read more

Sandoukas Painting did a great job!!! They worked fast but did a wonderful job. They showed up on time & kept me updated on what they were doing. We needed our apartment painted within a very short time-frame. We asked two painting companies to come around for a quote within 24 hours from making the request. The pricing of the two companies was approximately the same, but we liked the attitude of George of the Sandoukas Painting Company so much more that we decided to go for them. Communication was fast and easy and all our requests were put in a formal proposal to make sure both parties were aligned on what to expect. George and his team worked exceptionally hard and within two long days they finished painting our entire apartment just a few days after receiving our request and left our place clean and tidy. I really liked how easy it was to do business with the Sandoukas Painting Company and think George and his team are just really good-natured people who are eager to please their customers and deliver and nothing is a hassle to them. They even offered to pop by again after moving in, in case of scratches from moving furniture around, which reflects my earlier statement. We will most certainly be recommending them to our friends/family needing interior painting! read more
