Bendi knows how to get the job done right the first time. I highly recommend his work. He's professional, has a good work ethic, shows attention to detail & is very knowledgable (plumbing, electrical, painting, wallpaper installation, and smaller tasks). I always feel very comfortable with him in my home. Just some of the great work he's done in my place: 1) Installed 2 wall-mounted TV's (55" in my bedroom, 65" in my living room): before installing the TV's - he installed recessed outlet boxes for the TV plugs, which made the TV's flush. They're perfectly mounted and locked into place. The 65" TV is a swivel and it retracts easily. 2) Installed my beautiful Anthropologie wallpaper in my bedroom: He did such a great job lining up the panels, making the proper cuts and removing the panels. Evan around the window, door and outlets - it came out seamless. I'm so pleased with the end result. The bedroom sconces were installed by Bendi as well. Then, he clipped all of the extra wires from the air conditioner, sconces, my phone charger on a wall-mounted power strip underneath my bed frame (so it's extra easy to clean without having to move all the wires). 3) Installed a West Elm chandelier in my dining room & replaced the switch to a dimmer: nothing was there previously, just a cover plate on the ceiling. The guy is kind of a douche. Called him around 8:50, his website says he works after hours. So when I was explaining my situation, he cuts me off and he says he's not working 9PM. I apologized and I double checked to make sure what I saw on his website was correct. And why pick up the phone? I am assuming he is using his personal phone for business. One suggestion, Google voice. And update your website. But I did use him about a year ago, his work was great, but he never shut up, he was wound up, maybe he took a bump or two before he got on the job. 1 hour job took 3 hours. Bendi is a very skilled person. He is such a great contact to have. He came over to repair a dining room table and two chairs that were falling apart. He also repaired a kitchen cabinet that had fallen apart. in addition to that, he was able to troubleshoot the problem with our shower drain stopper and will return to replace it. He is pretty much able to look at the problem and assess what needs to be done in minutes. He was able to make use of wood pieces we had in the yard to repair our chairs and cabinets without having to buy anything. Bendi is also very friendly and polite, a pleasure to work with. We recently undertook a bit of home redesign, and as part of that, wanted to mount or new flatscreen TV on the wall. I was surprised to see so many highly rated handy-people on Yelp, and started to call down the list. Lots of folks weren't available or told me that my TV couldn't be mounted on the wall, even on studs. Bendi got right back to me and said he could come by that evening. I couldn't have been happier! He showed up right on time, and was both friendly and professional. It was nice to get a good vibe right off the bat, since you never know what will happen when you invite a stranger from Yelp into your home (although to be fair, the last time that happened, I married her). Anyway, Bendi was the perfect mix of efficient and thoughtful. He was clearly very handy and had hung many TVs before, but didn't immediately discard the instructions and just assume he knew everything, as I could imagine some people would do. He asked a lot of questions to make sure we were happy with the positioning, the look, and a bunch of other things. In about thirty minutes, he had hung the TV perfectly (and only after testing its stability many times). He then also mounted a wire run and our sound bar to make sure the whole room was perfect. I got an AC this AM and needed someone ASAP because it was getting too hot up in herrrrrre. I'm thankful for all my trusty Yelpers' advice. Bendi came quickly (literally 30 mins) and quoted me fairly for an AC ($60 for the day of) and even helped me on other handyman items without charge (screwing in my metal bars), even offered to screw in my curtain rods! He is lighthearted and professional on top of his fair prices. I had to deal with some personal things and was clearly was not in a great mood but he remained professional and nice, and if anything made me feel better. I told Bendi I was very nervous about installing an AC because I live on 1st floor, but Bendi nicely assured me that the multiple screws he used would not only keep me secure but also would enable me to keep my AC in my window year-long. Bendi repaired leaks coming from 3 separate in-wall heating units of my apartment. He came about 10 minutes later than the time we originally scheduled, but was courteous enough to call to let me know he was running a little late. Once he got there, he quickly diagnosed what the problem was and got to work. He finished all 3 units in under an hour. It wasn't the cleanest job as some debris/water came out when removing the units from the wall, but Bendi made sure to clean up everything afterwards. He's very responsible, works fast, his price was reasonable, and to top it off, he's a pretty friendly guy too! I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. Bendi helped install my TV and a few wall hooks. Overall, he is very professional, clearly experienced, and an efficient worker. He happened to be available on the same day the TV arrived, which worked out great. He and his assistant arrived on time, and brought all of the tools needed with them. In addition to installing the TV, Bendi also arranged my internet cables so they wouldn't all be bunched up in a corner on the floor. To do this, he volunteered to move my fridge and arrange the cables behind the fridge. I found Bendi through Yelp and can highly recommend him. I called and spoke directly with him regarding the installation of 7 window blinds. I let him know at the time that my window frames (old apartment building) were metal and difficult to drill through. We arranged a time and agreed upon fair rate, and Bendi provided an estimate as to how long it would take. He was running a bit late (15-20 mins) but called to let me know. He arrived and immediately got to work. We had a nice conversation as he worked. There was no stalling or BS on his part to drag out the job. He came prepared with metal screws (not part of the packaging with the blinds) which means he clearly paid attention to our initial conversation.
