I highly recommend Valera and his brother Nicolai; they were prompt, polite, skilled and accommodating. I hired them to put together a standing desk and a dresser, but they wound up doing many more tasks, including hanging multiple fragile heavy mirrors and other delicate items. An excellent combination of accomplished and easy to work with, at a reasonable price. I will be using them again when I need handy man work. read more

The level of pride put into the work is unparalleled. This is about the fourth or fifth time I've used Valera's services, and I am always beyond impressed. There was a torn piece of plaster that looked like a hole in the ceiling and he patched it up beautifully where you cannot even tell there was ever a hole. It was not a quick fix like most other handyman do. It was a multi step process and Valera worked so meticulously until it looked absolutely perfect. He cleaned and sanded I believe and then applied two coats of the matching Benjamin Moore marscapone paint drying each coat with a dryer in between.. I am in total amazement of his level of professionalism. I've had contractors in the past that weren't 1/8 as good as Valera and his brother Nicolai. I already have him booked for a future grouting project. The work is outstanding and the prices are very reasonable. Really great guys and phenomenal work. read more

Valera was fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. Super prompt, quick and professional response. Able to provide a price quote after sending photos of the various tasks. Mounting, baseboard trimming, touch up paining, etc. Required a deposit on Venmo which I was a bit worried about having not used them before but it wasn't an issue. Shower up early, had all the necessary equipment, and did a great job on multiple items we had for them. Very polite and very professional. I reached out to Nick over yelp and he responded right away. He asked for pictures to help provide an accurate price estimate. He and his brother came and worked through my list and did everything really well, fast and cleaned up after themselves. They assembled and installed bookshelves, hung a mirror, put up house numbers, fixed door latches, and drilled a hole in some built-ins to access an outlet. I cannot recommend them enough. He called to let us know when he was 10 minutes away and came prepared with all the necessary tools to hang our wall pieces. Well, these guys were amazing. First off, the communication between us was quick and professional. They gave me an option for a date and they were there right on time. Upon arrival I was asked to pay half for supplies, which I did. Two of the workers began prepping while the other went shopping for paint. And they were done in a timely manner. Forget how amazingly nice. responsive, communicative and professional these guys are - cause their work is equally beyond reproach! Amazing skills and prompt attention to my lighting fixture falling out of the ceiling. They responded to my call with availability and immediate expectations. When they were running late, I was told and informed of the time delay. the entire time they kept communication open and clear. When they got to my place it was a quick inspection and right to work. Incredibly impressed by how clean Valera's work is. I've compared pricing among the other repairmen in the city and Valera definitely has the best rate (others were quoting me $2K+ for small wall repair while Valera only charged a VERY small fraction of that). I was contemplating on repairing some holes in my wall by myself but am so glad I found a professional to do it. I had an 8ft mirror weighed over 100 lbs that he perfectly anchored and secured to a concrete wall. I called him when I found his info on Yelp. We needed to have a heavy mirror mounted on the living room wall. I called Valera because he was recommended by the previous owner of our apartment. He responded quickly and courteously and said he could handle the job and quoted a price. We agreed. As the time arrived, he kept us apprised of his arrival time. When he arrived, he assessed the job and began working. We told him where on the wall we wanted the mirror mounted. In about an hour the job was done correctly even after encountering a little "bump". Needless to say, we will keep Valera's number and happily give him an unqualified recommendation. read more
