Nothing was impossible, as more and more surprises revealed themselves - after 32 years in our offices, the buildouts were extensive with all those years of accumulated junk! We hired Grazia Concept for the demolition on 2 floors, totaling approximately 3500 sq ft. Post demolition, plaster walls needed repairing, repainting, junk needed to be hauled and an entire 1800 sq ft of wood flooring needed to be patched, sanded and stained. The job took on an incredible pace and the finished product outstanding. We contracted Victor to do what we thought was a simple demolition of a partial closet and some built-in cabinetry. During demolition, it was clear that the walls behind were either nonexistent or just a hot mess. (Don't you love old NY apartments?) This ended up being a MUCH bigger project than we anticipated. We had Victor come in to patch and repair our walls which had quite a bit of wear and tear (some of which required skim coating) from the previous owners 20 year occupation, as well as to come back a week later to install new baseboards. Victor was responsive, gave a fair price and got everything done quickly and efficiently. He was flexible with timing and took good care of the place as he finished his work. The walls look good as new and the baseboards were turned around in a day when we needed him on short notice. Definite recommend! Victor was great! Kept to his word, stuck to his estimate, did very solid work and a very pleasant person to deal with along the way. Why cant everyone work like this!? After a very lengthy and arduous gas line repair in our park slope brownstone, the building was left with gaping holes in the walls from the new plumbing. Victor came in to close these holes up and restore the walls. Some aspects of this patch were very tricky. The walls are plaster and lathe and the new plumbing made installing drywall a colossal jigsaw puzzle. Victor gave an estimate via photos provided and held to it even though the project was more than he was expecting. Its not a quality you find everyday in a New York contractor. After reading the reviews & seeing the photos I was so happy to contact Victor. I really was hoping & thought this man Victor would be the one. Well I was very wrong & this is what happened. On the phone a nice person. I explained to Victor exactly what work I needed done. In 2018 we had an appointment on a Thursday mid-morning afternoon. He did not call to say that he was running late. I had to call him, I really think he forgot about our appointment saying he was not that far from where I live at. WELL, I waited & waited. Finally he managed to come by 2 hours & half late. Luckily I took the day & was off from work. On our 1st meeting was Mr. Victor arriving with a " Fowl Body Odor ". Our appt was 11-12 & he arrived around 1:45 PM on a BIKE. It looked like he was working on another job & struggling for a ride. He looked around said I had 2 many small jobs. Only wanted 2 paint half of my kitchen & not the ceilings or cabinets etc. I never heard of such nonsense. He said my kitchen floors was too much work. He did not seem interested at all in any work I had to do. Also he was not interested in measurements of any thing, only questioned how I was paying. He was looking for easy jobs in & out work with no hassle. I was very shocked by his attitude & behavior. It made me re-read the reviews. I really think in this aspect that a lot of folks are just not telling the truth. He was not at all what I expected from the beginning he kept stating only cash up front. I do not deal with greedy unprofessional uncouth unbathed folks in this manner. I was so grateful he would not be working in my home. He gave NO followup or return call. I messaged Grazia concept on yelp and they responded the same day with a quote. We booked the drywall job for the next day! Victor came and was very careful and respectful of my home. He drywalled around a skylight (we had a roofer install a new one and basically they don't touch the inside and we then had an inch gap between our wall and the skylight) Victor then patched the gap with drywall and made it all look nice. He plastered, sanded and then painted. It looks brand new. He also patched the leak in my sons room caused by the old leaking skylight. He noticed mold and cut it all out carefully and patched that hole and sanded and painted. It was a longer, two-day job and we are very happy with Grazia Concepts services. We would use them again for any drywall, patching and painting needs. Victor was very good with clean up as this was my sons play area and room. We are happy customers. I found it hard to find someone to do this job as the bigger painting companies won't come in for smaller jobs like this. Victor is a pro. He came and repaired a hole in my ceiling after plumbers investigated a leak. The ceiling looks great, you can't even tell there's was a hole there. He also fixed some bubbling paint in my bathroom. He was fast, efficient and seemed to put a lot of care into his work.
