We did an exchange here back in March and loved it so much we are back now in January! I am currently on one of their 2 computers in the lovely lobby - they provide these for guest use which is really great when you don't have a laptop. This is located in the North End of the Lake, about a 3 hour drive from where I live near San Jose. There are 3 ways we have used to get here, and all take within about 20 minutes of the same amount of time. Hubby came via 880 then 101 last time, going up to Ukiah, then coming south. Last time I took 680/80/505 to Williams and cut across on Hwy 20. More miles but easy driving. This past time we had to pick up my daughter in Napa so we went 680/80/12 and then thru Napa and Calistoga and over Mt. St. Helena (I think?). This is a nice way to go if you have time to stop in at wineries as you go past a bunch of them. HOWEVER, we ended up going thru at night time, and the drive over the mountain (about 6000 ft elevation) was VERY twisty. They did have a number of turnouts for slower traffic, but definitely a bit of a stressful drive for me, maybe because it was dark. The accommodations -- Very spacious! We were in a 2 bedroom last time which has the master on the top -- very large room with bath. There is another bedroom with 2 twins and bath downstairs. Their pull-out murphy queen bed is really nice. It is a standard size mattress, nothing like a pull-out sofa. You pull it down from the wall and it is quite comfortable and makes the livingroom feel like a studio apartment for whoever sleeps there. Full kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans, making staying in to cook (and save money!) very easy. Staff -- very helpful, even when 100% occupied as they are right now. Location -- very pretty here and great for those looking for some simple rest and relaxation. We drove to the other side of the lake to Lakeport last time and enjoyed a museum about the local Indians and land (can't remember what it was called!!!). Stores do sometimes close early around here as it is a small town. We walked to the Marina Grill for a great breakfast last time we were here and plan to do that again today! Great resort and I'd love to come back again! Oh, the only detraction here are the ducks and what they leave behind. Fortunately staff is always cleaning off the sidewalks read more

We have stayed here multiple times and have had a great vacation every time! We love going out on the pier to watch the sunset over the lake. Just beware of the bats, there are hundreds of them that come out of the trees at dusk. It does add some excitement to your evening. Usually we stay out on the pier or in our room until after dark. While you are in town it's nice to catch a concert or roam around the wilderness. Planning our next trip soon. read more

Nice is not nice. Well at least the Worldmark resort isn't. We had a reservation for several months we reconfirmed it directly with the hotel a few days prior and when we arrived we were told you are out of luck. They said there reservation service had made a mistake it wasn't their fault and too bad for you! They said they'd put us up for one night and that was it. Mind you it's July, it's our only vacation of the year, we had been looking forward to our lovely summer vacation and it all cane to a complete hault due to their inability to work with their reservation service. It's a timeshare and we aren't members so there is that and probably why we weren't able to get in. But this was the worst of all time experiences we've ever oh and did I mention they already charged our card in full! I hope we can recoup the $$$. M. Oh and we wouldn't know how the resort is to review it Beware of this place and you aren't guaranteed a room unless you are actually in it and even then I'd be weary. Very awful and upsetting horrible experience. read more

Just got done with 7 days here. Great place, well kept-up. You are about 1 hour away from other places but there is enough to keep you busy. We took the wine tour limo from the complex. 75 dollar a person, 5 local wineries to sample over 60 wines (happy to have the driver!). There are 2 bars within walking distance off the main road both serve food. for 16 bucks you can have access to the internet in your room (brink your laptop!). Downtown Napa is 2 hours away. The main Casino is about 10 minutes away. Pack your bags and enjoy! read more

My wife and I are here on our honeymoon. I was floored. I don't know how better to put it. We are not owners. A friend of mine gifted us with a week's stay here. I was told to expect a sales pitch from them on becoming an owner. Nothing like that at all. The condo is large and spacious. The kitchen is very well-equipped with dishes and cooking stuff. The view of the lake is excellent, and guests get a dock of their own, since most of the docks here belong to private residents. There's not a lot to do on this side of the lake, but plenty if you're willing to drive over to the West side. That's no reflection on Worldmark though. Just want to provide useful info to anyone reading this. The staff here have been very helpful. This is an excellent place to stay! read more

I spent Christmas Eve and day at this romantic resort. Great location. Well kept property and friendly staff. I'd go there again.

Place is definitely boring.. If you don't have a boat, forget about it.. We stayed here last weekend with family. All you can really do is swim in the resort that is, fish and hope you get a bite, and stroll down as far as down the street because everywhere around you besides the resort pier (needs the card key;which is the closes way of laying a finger on that lake ) is private property . Recommended for old old retired couple with a boat! Lol read more

Had the best week here. Our room was clean, fully stocked, quiet and had a great view. The customer service was top notch!! Location perfect. Pool, spa super clean, gym satisfactory and activities aplenty (basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, etc). And the lake is right there. Literally!!! There is really no need to leave once you park your car if you bring your food and drink. Had high expectations when our trip was booked and you exceeded them all. Can't wait to return. read more

Checked in on July 28th, six cars and our two trucks were broken into and completely tossed. Anything electronic was taken, agreed should not have been there. Property does not have any security cameras or personnel, despite the fact these acts of vandalism happen frequently. The sheriff told us it has been going on for quite some time. Management here tell us they are working on it. Last night Aug 2, our boat was parked on site and covered and it was vandalized. Spoke with other guests with boats and found their boat was vandalized as well. They chose to park off site and pay for security...smart. Additionally, one of the other guests said there were several cars broken into the night before. Clearly a serious problem. This property is surrounded by some of the sketchiest people ever. It is clear the meth dealers do well in this area. When we made our reservations, we knew the property did not have a suitable docking area for leaving boats overnight. This was not an issue as the staff here told us about a marina close by where we could rent a slip and not have to put in and take out boats everyday. Well that place turns out is closed indefinitely and we have to put in and take out everyday. However, all the literature on property amenities still refer to the availability of the marina. Other than apologies from a couple of assistant managers, the property staff seems to just take it in stride. We lost some precious memories in pictures on an iPod, couple of knives and a flashlight from the trucks and does not seem anything was taken from the boat except my anchor was cut off and tossed in grass. The pictures cannot be replaced. The other stuff; not so important. The issue is the property is not safe. What would have happened if my wife or mother had gone out to car and interrupted these creeps? I called the front desk this morning to report the vandalism and got an "oh, I am so sorry" from the night manager and asked that the GM call me. It is a little after 8am and he arrives at 9:30, I get a call at 10:30 from Sam, asst manager and got same apology and we are working on it. Asked to speak with GM not assistant and left message. So far, no call. Sam did mention he had expressed concerns on numerous occasions and the expect the attorneys to approve the on site security contract by October. Seems to me there are many possible measures that could be taken on a temporary basis to protect their customers. I have never wanted to end a vacation before, but now am very concerned about what we will wake up to in the morning. Brings a whole new meaning to WorldMark. Parking here you ARE the local "mark". 8/4 update: Todd, GM - called me after we checked out, 1 1/2 days after leaving message. Basically same lame excuses, but promised that due to my phone call he would "script" the installation of cameras, lights, and get property safe. Also said, he would email my mother with instructions on providing information on losses for insurance claim he would file with their insurance. Agreed they are in a problem area and issue of vandalism has been ongoing for some time. 8/9 update: no email, writing corporate Marketing and Customer Service read more

Some the resort staff was nice but others were downright rude. Check in was a horrible experience, it seems like they were not concerned about me or wanted to help me. The room was great until one evening we had a mass of bugs on the ceiling and ants coming up in the bathroom. The resort was only kept up within the main building. Our room had a massive amount of spiderwebs around the door frame and the stairs. We had gone bought milk and it fell out of the truck in the parking lot. I went and told the front desk and she told the maintenance person. He responded he will be there in a little bit. The next morning the milk had dried in the parking lot. So much for taking pride in the resort. There is nothing to do in the area for kids. I do not recommend the resort if you have kids. If you love wineries there are nearby wineries. read more

My biggest complain about this place is that wifi sucks here and you have to pay for it. I would understand if wifi service was free and it sucked, but you have to pay for it and it is really slow.. read more

Friendly staff, great amenities. They have movie rentals, a pool table, small arcade, clean spa and pool. Emphasis on clean! Comfy rooms.

really enjoyed the room great view of the lake! my advice is to stay away from the wifi service! You have to pay an additional fee to use it! I paid for the 10 day access and it only worked 2- 3 minutes at a time! That was $20 bucks down the drain! read more

We loved this resort. It was very typical for a Worldmark resort as far as the accommodations and amenities. There were a lot of bugs, but I'm thinking it may have been the time of year that we went (June). We loved that they had their own boat dock and launch, as well as fishing. We would definitely stay here again. read more

The 2 stars is for the general location and things to do. We stayed one night and our unit was clean and well stocked. Reserved for 4 nights but just had to get out of town because the combo of the heat, nothing to do, sketchy tweaker town & awful local restaurants. Other than the pool there is nothing to do. The lake is polluted with mercury so really fishing isn't recommended and swimming in green algae doesn't seem appealing. Also the lake isn't easy to walk along so just standing on the pier is all you can do. Farther down HWY 20 are much better lakes, resorts and day camps as well as casinos with I'm sure better food than in Nice. Only complaint to hotel staff is that it needs a good power washing on the outside. If you're a Worldmark owner there are much nicer properties than this location. read more

We stayed here for a week in the fall of 2012. Great wineries in the area. The staff at this resort was very friendly and the main building was charming and had some interesting history. Make sure to ask. Unfortunately we found many drawbacks. We got the impression the resort is struggling financially and has made some bad choices in where to cut services. For instance, make sure you bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap before you arrive, since they supply none in their rooms! They will sell you overpriced sample sizes at the front desk of basic brands and you are best off to buy them at a local store before arriving. One must pay for internet access, even for Wyndham Gold members. The front desk said management still had not worked out amenities for Gold members with the parent company. The units were fairly clean and roomy but we had to clean the master bathroom floor ourselves because it was filthy. We had to find the water heater in a closet off the porch and turn it up in order to shower. read more
