Invited to relax at the resorts by my sister who had been there before. Plus are the healing effects from the Vichy Sorings water baths from the 1860's used by Mark Twain, Jack London and President Teddy Roosevelt. Some of the tubs, stained by rust, were difficult to get into because they were deeper than others. One must have an open and adventurous mind to experience these healing waters that pour into rusty tubs. My favorite were the outdoor baths where I could lie in the bubbly lukewarm water and look up at the clear blue sky, green trees and see a hawk or bird fly by. The Olympic-sized non-chlorinated spring water pool was surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers and an impressive fountain. Showers were available in the restrooms. One could occasionally hear gunfire from a distant shooting range while relaxing by the pool. Breakfast 8-10am of eggs, granola, fruit, berries, delicious fruit tortes from Schat's Bakery, orange juice, coffee, tea, milk, no sausages nor bacon. We stayed in one of the old cabins. My sister said the newer cabin where she stayed was better. We had a small fridge opposed to a full size refrigerator in the newer cabin. The lighting was darker in our old cabin than the newer cabin she stayed in. An extension cord was needed to go around a door frame to reach and provide better lighting at the poorly lit dining table which had no lights. Sis said she'll ask for a newer cabin next time. We didn't make it to the falls which would've been a 30-min walk from the Monet bridge, but we saw two deer. We had a cabin with a kitchen and brought enough dinner to last us our stay. It was a 3-hour drive from SF to escape from the stress of city life.

While on a road trip from Southern California up north, I happened upon this resort and was I glad I did. Reading about their mineral waters, I knew I had to stop and give this place a try. I showed up around 3 PM and on their website they list that you can stay for either two or three hours, but with them closing at 5 PM. The lady that was working the front had told me I showed up right as the last person left, so I had the resort to myself. She also said that since it was not busy, they would be willing to let me stay for the full three hours if I wanted to. I really appreciated her offer and felt very welcomed at the resort. She then proceeded me to walk through the layout of the resort how to use the baths and some great tips to ensure I got the most out of my experience. After giving my deposit, I walked back to my car, grabbed a change of clothes and proceeded to walk a short 2 to 3 minute walk to the bath area - I also want to note that I did not have a towel on me, but they do offer towels as rentals Which I was really glad about. The bath area was very cute. Lots of outdoor options and also indoor options. I wanted the outdoor experience so I opted to go into the outdoor bath. I have never experienced a mineral soak like this before and was absolutely amazed. It was a very chilly day and she had told me that once I sit in the bath, it would feel a little on the colder to lukewarm side, but then once the water started to work, it's magic, it would speed up my circulation and start to make me feel warmer, which is exactly what happened. As I sat the minerals started to do their magic and sure enough I could feel my body heating up. It was such a wild experience. I wound up, laying in there for roughly about an hour before moving on to their baths that are made for skin care, very different experience, but very similar bath that you lay in those are located indoors and I laid in mine for about 30 minutes overall I left the mineral baths, filling, refreshed energize, and it had subsided some pain that I had in my lower back and after leaving, my whole body felt very, very smooth. I ended up altogether spending two hours at the resort, but I could easily see myself staying for the full three hours in the future. I'll say this too after my soaks, it was the best night of sleep I've had in a very long time. I am beyond amazed at how amazing I felt after soaking in these baths. I have been telling all of my family and friends about it since and I can't wait to head back up there. I'm already starting to make plans to make this a monthly trip. It's about six hours away from me, but beyond worth it. If you're wondering if you should go check this place out or not, make sure you do - you will not be disappointed.

This place is a work of love and dedication to times gone - a quiet getaway for any time of year, a travel to ancient waters used for centuries for whatever health benefits you believe in but certainly a way to relax the mind and to detox from cities and news. This was my 4 th visit, each time with a different stressed out family member. Each time it took them (and me) a day to let go - but we always did. Whether you go there to submerge yourself in metal/sulfur-smelling bubbly waters, Boron ones, or the hot tub ... or to take a long long walk up winding trails into the hills, this place is sure to unplug your mind. The baths are old and stained by Nature. If you want artificial McTreatment, this is not for you. However, if you want "back to simple" and true, then this is for you. EX: Poison oak encounter? No worries, wash it all off in the alkaline waters! It's true! I am SEVERELY ALLERGIC to poison oak, yet when the rash started, it was stopped in its tracks and gone after a bit of soak time in a bubbly bath! Oh - and they are open for use until 2AM. Breakfast is included. Staff is friendly. The owner is full of history and stories.

Ever since I'd heard there were carbonated waters, geothermally heated that were hours from The Bay Area, I longed to sit and recenter myself in this magical place. Committing to the 3 hour drive was perhaps the hardest thing to do, but as soon as I parked, I knew I made the right decision. I was instantly transported into another dimension when I opened my car door. I was filled with a flood of peace, relief, and optimism I'd been missing. Now, this place will make you slow down and be present. But in a very intentional way. Ukiah has a different heart beat than the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley, and if you don't enjoy waving at cars that pass you on the road, or stopping to talk to dogs that are interested in smelling you, then YOU may not be a good fit for the energy of this property. And I was blown away with how reasonable it was. The best $35 dollars I've spent in AGES. And I do feel healed, recentered, and decisive after soaking in the carbonated bath, the indoor beauty bath (that left my skin so soft, I couldn't stop touching myself), and the communal hot tub (that I was chased into by a wasp). Disclaimer: these pools are outdoors. If bugs give you the ick, you may struggle to enjoy this peacefully. I did spend time fighting with some sort of water spider who was determined to bathe with me. But not today, Satan, I eventually won that battle and settled back into enjoying my time. I didn't drink the water, but I really wanted to. The drinking water was locked for the general public on the day I visited. And I was lucky to arrive just before 1 pm. It was the sweet spot: pretty empty, so I got to enjoy the place to myself. As it neared 3 pm, a smattering of folks filtered in and polluted the air with talk about work, irritating refunds, and other things I was trying to escape myself. I took that as a sign to leave, and make plans to stay over night on another occasion. Thank you, Gaila, in the front office, for your hospitality upon my arrival, your easy transference of information about using these ancient baths, and for creating a supportive space for my indecision. I needed flexible options until I could be decisive. And I found everything my heart was craving at this visit. Until next time.

Great pit stop to unwind and relax. Just visited for 2 hrs to get some relaxation before heading home.

    Mouse poop. Not ok.

Get ready for rustic! I stayed in the Applewood Suite and can't recommend it. It's between the office and housekeeping, so a bit busy and noisy and the farthest from the tubs. The housekeepers were blasting music and watching videos and talking really loudly early in the morning Sunday, which is not ok. The light from the adjacent suite shines right on your head in one of the beds, so that was also annoying. There are no TVs (good) and no mini fridge (bad) or napkins, utensils... no in-room conveniences for a picnic or coffee or water, so be sure to bring all of your own supplies. They do offer a nice buffet breakfast included with the room. There was mouse scat all over the windowsill, and when I called the front desk to tell them, she said she would "make a note of it." She did not offer to have it cleaned or move me to another room or any other kind of compensation, so that was a big fail. The waters are restorative and wonderful, so I highly recommend at least going for a day trip and soaking in the thousands-of-years-old mineral baths. The mineral baths are around 90 degrees so almost just warm enough. The "beauty baths" were not functional when I was there. Do note that it is also close enough to a gun range to be able to hear it, which is not at all relaxing. It can also get a bit crowded during day-use hours. But if chatting up other people and loudly socializing in the hot tub is your thing, you will love it!

Stayed 2 nights and 3 days at Vichy Springs Resort and had a fantastic time. This was my first experience here, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was beyond my expectations. The rooms were very clean and comfortable for the most part except one person in my small group had to sleep on a roll-away and it definitely needed improvement; the springs in the middle were broken (unattached) and the bed sagged horribly. Other than that both our rooms were fine. AC units, although a bit noisy, worked well. A few mosquitos did find their way into our room and I got bitten, but that's par for the course, I think. The champagne baths were relaxing and the temperature was just right to counter balance the hot weather; if the weather was cooler, the baths might have been a tad too cool. Soaking in the ancient tubs for an hour at a time was just what I needed and there were enough tubs so I didn't feel rushed! After the baths, it was great to sit in the hot tub for a bit, too. My friends really enjoyed the Olympic sized pool on the premises. The water sparkled and there was plenty of room for all the guests to swim at the same time. Lots of trails for hiking, too, so bring shoes for that! The buffet breakfast was a wonderful addition to our stay. They recently resumed serving this breakfast after taking a Covid break. The offerings were substantial with eggs, bagels, granola, yogurt, lots of fruit, and lots of pastries offered along with juice, tea, and coffee. There *is* a gun club a little ways from the resort and you can hear them shooting, but it was pretty muted, and didn't bother me after a bit. You just have to try to tune it out! It would be nice if the resort listed all the amenities on their website. They don't mention if hairdryers are available (they are), whether or not they provide shampoo and conditioner (they do), or if there's a refrigerator in the room (one room had one). I tried contacting them before going, but they didn't reply to my email or return the phone call after I left a message to ask. The one thing I would suggest is that if you book, be sure to keep track of the billing. Both my friend and I were almost charged twice for our rooms. The first charge when we made our reservations was supposed to be a "pending" charge, but it was actually charged through. Then they tried to charge us again after our stay. If I didn't remember that the first charge had posted three months earlier, I wouldn't have known to tell them. The person at the desk said the first charge shouldn't have gone through (they're only supposed to put a "pending charge" on your card), but apparently the person who took our reservations forgot and charged it through. So just be sure you know how many times you're being charged!! They were apologetic when it finally got straightened out, but I'm glad we got to the bottom of that snafu! Will definitely return. Really nice getaway that's not too far away from the big cities!

CHAMPAGNE BATHS aka Naturally Carbonated Vichy Mineral Baths are worth trying and makes this place unique! I love me a good relaxing spa situation, and yes we all deserve to treat ourselves!! We came in on a Sunday for a walk-in day use - rates are $35 each (2 hours or less) or $50 each (3 hours or less). I found the 2 hours to be plenty of time to enjoy the champagne bath and hot tub (I love hot tubs!). The hot tub was extra toasty and felt amazing because we went at the beginning of November and we were shivering like babies when we came out of the champagne baths (lol though it's a short walk). The other offerings include a pool and a hike to a waterfall. We did not do the pool nor the hike to the waterfall, so I can't comment on these! I wanted to keep our visit short and sweet - and just focus on the champagne baths. I really had some nice quiet, reflective time, sitting in their outdoor champagne baths (they have indoor ones too), enjoying the nature sounds around me! The cell signal is pretty bad in the pool area, which is perfect since this is the time to disconnect and not be on your phone. I sat there playing with the bubbles and watching them form on my skin. It was really cool! I was chilling and letting those health benefits sink in haha. If you don't go to the waterfall, everything is pretty contained within a 5 minute walking area. When we checked in, we got a very quick overview of the different baths/pools and how to operate them. The woman at the front desk spoke way fast and monotone lol it was almost hard to catch everything, but totally understandable since she's giving the same spiel to each guest. They asked if I wanted towels and it was so casually asked that I didn't realize til after that they charged - $3 per towel. Bring towels to save yourself a few bucks! When you check out, that is the time wherein they'll charge you based on how much time you've spent. They tell you your start time so you know when to come back. She kindly gives a time a few minutes ahead so you can get ready before heading on and enjoying the facilities. I came in my swimsuit but left my clothes in the car. We came prepared with bath robes and slippers to be extra comfy walking around, especially during fall/winter time. I brought with me while enjoying the baths-- my water, phone, keys -- the essentials! Overall, well worth $35 each for 2 hours of hot tub and champagne baths. Disconnnect, relax, and enjoy! :)

Vichy Springs is a little slice of heaven in Ukiah, California. The pools are healing with champagne springs which are rare and well over 5 million years old. The grounds are breathtaking and surrounded by areas you can hike. You can bring a bike and cycle to Hopland down Old River Road. The swimming pool is huge enough for laps and clean and chorine free. It's just a lovely place to heal and rest Or be active. Grab a dinner at Oco Time for a great weekend. Thank you Vichy for all that you give.

But what made it truly unforgettable was Rachel and her incredible team. From the very beginning, Rachel made everything feel easy. She's organized, intuitive, calm, and somehow manages to be both laid-back and on top of every detail. I never felt overwhelmed, never stressed. I fully trusted her, and that trust paid off a thousand times over. The florals were perfect--gorgeous but not fussy, exactly in tune with the setting and the vibe we'd envisioned. Her staff was so kind and attentive, and the whole event flowed effortlessly thanks to their care and presence. Guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything was, but also how relaxed and fun the day felt. There was no pretense or pressure--just love, laughter, tacos (SO GOOD), and pure joy. Rachel also helped us source our hair and makeup artist (who was amazing), our dessert vendor (adorable and delicious), and even supported our late-night In-N-Out plan. She managed every piece of the puzzle with grace and humor, and made sure we got to actually enjoy our wedding day. (Which we did. Fully. With Palomas. And a piano man. And guacamole on my dress.) We've joked with our guests about making this an annual thing, and honestly? We might not be joking. Yokayo is that special. Entering the hotel, with pleasant customer service and plenty of coffee to warm us up after a long three hour drive hit just right! Upon entering our large modern king room, we enjoyed: fire place( should be part of every Hilton experience) , balcony, fridge and microwave. We really appreciated the flooring in the entry way with the coat rack( this should be part of every Hilton experience). Morning hospitality was nice as well. More warm coffee and breakfast hit the spot for our drive home. Amazing! Hilton experience as expected but this experience one of the best Hilton experiences I've had this year. My only concern was there may have been a pet in the room so maybe having separate rooms for pet owners would be appreciated. Again thank you for an amazing stay!

Good to see that they had luggage carts because we had an assortment of travel and grocery bags and boxes to deal with and a rather long trek to our rooms. Our rooms were pretty nice but we must have had a family with kids above us that were wound up from their adventures. We heard them scampering around long after 11pm. What you gonna do? The bed was very comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. The TV had lots of channels and we found some movies we enjoyed. Breakfast started at 6am downstairs. They had a great assortment of vittles. I tried the pre-made cheese omelet with a few potatoes and some sausage slices. Pretty good, but the omelet could have used some salsa. I went back for a couple of the mini waffles. They offered malted vanilla of cinnamon roll flavor batter. After 3 minutes in the waffle iron, they are ready to go. The chocolate and caramel syrup were too thick to dispense from their squirt bottles, but the raspberry topping flowed easily and the whipped cream can had plenty of propellant. Back in our room, the 2 sinks had good lighting for getting yourself ready for the day. Not too impressed with the shower / bathtub setup, though. The tub diverter that you pull up to direct water to the shower head didn't seal well. Half of the shower water went past it into the tub. Not impressed with the toilet, either. It sits too close to the floor, like it was designed for a child. Also, it's placed too close to the sink counter. The toilet seat was loose, too, making it more of a challenge when sitting down. We mentioned that to the clerk, so hopefully, it will be fixed. The balcony was tiny, with 1 plastic chair & table. The view consisted of the street below and the parking lot across the street. The glass door and the screen door were very hard to slide in their tracks. Best to avoid the balcony altogether. Anyway, the place was very clean and attractive. The pool area was very inviting but we didn't have time to enjoy it. Maybe next time.

I think it's how it's programmed. Even when I lowered down the volume on my last use, it reset back to a very loud volume. One of the bedside lamps during my second day started flickering. Thankfully, the room is bright with natural light when the curtains are drawn. Coffee near the front desk is available 24hours. There's hot water as well for those who prefer tea

Stayed here for two nights as we had a wedding in Ukiah. I am familiar with this hotel chain and…read moresince it was one of the four hotels suggested by the bride and groom, we figured it was a safe bet, and it sure was. It's not the fanciest hotel but it was remodeled not too long ago, and as modern as it can be. The décor of the hotel is nice, the room was clean, and the area is pretty quiet; parking was easy, safe and free. The other hotel options were just a tad bit better, but this was pretty good and a bang for your buck. The one thing I will say is the walls are super thin. I could hear clear conversations of our neighbors, BUT I turned on the AC so that pretty much phased out the talk. Also, the gym is a no-frills kind of place. One treadmill, one bike and one elliptical. There are no weights of any kind. I didn't use the pool, which is indoors; it was empty despite the outdoor heat. The front desk was great. On two dif occasions, I asked for band-aids and lotion and they easily supplied both. Check-in was easy, fast and done with a smile. There are some good eats within walking distance and downtown is just an easy few lights away. A simple breakfast is included in our stay and it was perfect bc we had lunch plans, but I needed something after my workout, so I would make myself a granola bowl with fresh yogurt and fresh toppings. Overall, this was a good stay and I would come back here again.

From the floors to the bathroom to the bed, I have never encountered an issue with cleanliness. The rooms are simple and spacious and quiet. The showers are superb! Nice and roomy bathtub and the water pressure is outstanding! The beds are so comfortable and I always sleep peacefully. The property grounds are always clean and uncluttered. The laundry facilities are outstanding and also so clean as well! You can't beat $2 per load! The staff are all super friendly and helpful. They are always willing to accommodate my requests whether it be extra towels or late checkout. I feel safe and secure here and with Ukiah's issue with transients that is always a concern when booking in Ukiah, but NOT here! I have NEVER had a problem! :) The ONLY thing that is a minus is the quality of breakfast items offered. Old fruit, bagels, toast, packaged oatmeal, pastries, eggo waffles, cold cereal, juice, and coffee are what is available. But I do have to say for the rates you pay I guess that would be expected. Either way, this property is excellent and I am a happy to always return when I am in Ukiah!

Wow. My husband and I just checked in, and we are so pleasantly surprised. For the price I was…read moresomewhat leery as to what kind of room to expect. It is much better than we ever expected for the cost. Is it a $300+ room at the Hilton? No. But we did not expect that either. But for what we did pay, we am more then satisfied. What we didn't expect was how BIG and well kept the room is. Would we stay here again? If we are needing a place to stay in Ukiah, then heck yea! Would we recommend it...heck yea! Oh, and by the way, the workers I have encountered during this stay have been very nice, and seemed concerned that I was satisfied with my stay.

A chair to sit in. Table/ seating for two (but again, the room sleeps four). Negatives: only one bathroom trash. No kitchen or bedroom trash. No pans of any kind in the kitchen. Renders the stovetop useless. No dish soap. No paper towels or dishcloths of any kind. No dish drainer. No dishes. One tiny bottle of shampoo. The room sleeps four. One set of towels. The room sleeps four. The tv did not work easily and required ten minutes of hotel staff fiddling with it to get it working. The breakfast (grab and go) is not helpful for those with gluten and or other food restrictions. The Super 8 in Redding beat this breakfast handily. There is no coffee maker in the room. There was no decaf available in the lobby. Coffee for Americans is a big deal. The tea options (in the lobby) were extremely limited. At this price point, I really would expect to have adequate supplies for what the room is and for the amount of guests on each reservation. The hotel has the potential to be fabulous. But guests should not have to beg for coffee, for towels, for shampoo, or a working TV. There's a lot to love about this place, but the skimping on minor details takes away from that.

And they have breakfast, once again, they were calling it that, consisted of some granola bars with 3-2 inch pastry that were definitely last week stale. The desk clerk was happy to tell us that the cafe across the street had good breakfast...and he sends all of his guests there. Geez! For an extended stay you would think there would be kitchen utensils and a coffee machine. But, no to both. They did say they had a coffee machine but no coffee to make it. Needless to say, we booked the rest of our business trip at another hotel. All I can say is, don't stay there because I know I won't.
