Stayed here recently for business and appreciated the convenience to fwy and right across from walmart. Parking is free and breakfast is for all guests to enjoy every morning from 6am-9am during my stay. My room is as advertised but I wished the showed had more pressure to it. Shoutout to the lady at the breakfast service. She was very attentive and replenishes the area. In my room, there is a microwave and mini refrigerator. The tv is loud. I think it's how it's programmed. Even when I lowered down the volume on my last use, it reset back to a very loud volume. One of the bedside lamps during my second day started flickering. Thankfully, the room is bright with natural light when the curtains are drawn. Coffee near the front desk is available 24hours. There's hot water as well for those who prefer tea read more

Stayed here for two nights as we had a wedding in Ukiah. I am familiar with this hotel chain and since it was one of the four hotels suggested by the bride and groom, we figured it was a safe bet, and it sure was. It's not the fanciest hotel but it was remodeled not too long ago, and as modern as it can be. The décor of the hotel is nice, the room was clean, and the area is pretty quiet; parking was easy, safe and free. The other hotel options were just a tad bit better, but this was pretty good and a bang for your buck. The one thing I will say is the walls are super thin. I could hear clear conversations of our neighbors, BUT I turned on the AC so that pretty much phased out the talk. Also, the gym is a no-frills kind of place. One treadmill, one bike and one elliptical. There are no weights of any kind. I didn't use the pool, which is indoors; it was empty despite the outdoor heat. The front desk was great. On two dif occasions, I asked for band-aids and lotion and they easily supplied both. Check-in was easy, fast and done with a smile. There are some good eats within walking distance and downtown is just an easy few lights away. A simple breakfast is included in our stay and it was perfect bc we had lunch plans, but I needed something after my workout, so I would make myself a granola bowl with fresh yogurt and fresh toppings. Clean and quiet. Everything working. Good breakfast (everything you want). Muffins, bagels, waffles, sausage patty (really salty), yogurt, soy mik, oak milkl hot cereal with all the toppings, earl grey tea. Juice. Cereal. Scones. Beds were comfortable. I think room has fleas. Feel itchy. Even though they make you sign that youdon'tt hav a pet. The shower hurts since it spurts at you. Condtioner on the wall. Towels were soft. Tv big. After not having success at the Hampton Inn next-door I thought I would try this Fairfield Marriott hotel. The check in was easy. And the bed was very comfortable. I had everything I needed. But the hotel overall seemed run down. It is over priced, but decent. read more

This place was actually better than what I expected for a Fairfield Inn & Suites. We stayed in the King Suite for 1 night, and it seemed to have been remodeled recently. The design isn't modern, but I'd describe it as "homey." There was a separate sitting area with sofa and TV. There was also another TV in the bedroom. In terms of cleanliness I couldn't find anything to complain about. For the complimentary breakfast, they served Clover milk, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, and even vegetarian sausage. The toast and honeydew were a bit old though. I wouldn't mind staying here again for a road trip with friends. read more

I love ukiah small northern cali town but everyone here is so nice. Whenever I'm in the Bay Area or mendo this is my to go spot .I will drive a hour and half from San Fran to stay here . As everyone knows the Bay Area is a war zone make the drive to ukiah and find some peace and quite and stay at the Fairfield in the rooms are very clean , the staff is extremely helpful. read more

The front desk was very welcoming upon check in. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the suite was great for having cocktails One night with friends. The breakfast was great for a hotel. Waffles, yogurt, oatmeal with several toppings including pumpkin seeds, eggs,sausage,various juices, and cereal. Coffee in the breakfast area was very good. By the way they kept the coffee fresh all day. The breakfast area was very clean and they kept it well stock. The management was very friendly and most accommodating for our group. I give five stars for this reason...our large family from all over California gathered at this hotel to attend a memorial service for our dear Uncle who recently passed away. The owners were so thoughtful and patient with our large group, allowing us to gather in the dining area for several hours to visit and catch up. This was the longest traveling day of our vacation, over 12 hours on the road. Crazy I know To be completely honest we are Marriott rewards members but that doesn't mean i like or enjoy all of the properties we've stayed in. This one we did enjoy and appreciated. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the property both inside and out. We walked into our room and could just tell and smell how clean the room was. This is even more important because it is during the COVID-19 issue. I appreciated being able to take a hot shower with a water messaging shower head. There is nothing like a hot messaging shower to help wind down and release the stress of a 12 plus hour drive. This is a nice Marriott property and is worth the stay. read more

If you're in town on federal or state business, this is the place to stay. Excellent rate. Comfortable rooms. Nice small pool and hot tub. Wi-Fi work. Breakfast look good, but I did not eat there. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient to the Walmart across the street if you need to pick up some snacks or supplies. Starbucks a short drive, or maybe a long walk. Ask for Ukiah itself, not that impressed. Stop thru and stay for the night, but no real reason to spend more than one night here. read more

As Marriott Platinum Elite we chose this hotel to stay in while in Ukiah for two nights. Found a weird stain on one of the pillows and put it on the floor, hoping that when room service came by they would change it. We were told there was a free breakfast. They had a warm tray that when I opened the top it revealed 3 dried out cracked sad breakfast burritos. I wish I had taken a picture. I came back down a bit later and they had not added to the tray. There were also some prepackaged cold sausage biscuits in the fridge that you would warm up yourself. We ended up going it to eat. It was really bad. We were gone all day and came back 7:30 pm and our room had not been cleaned nor had our sheets been changed. We also found two bugs in the bed which my husband killed. I called down to see why the room hadn't been made up and was told that we would have had to notify the front desk during check in if we wanted that. Really? It would have been nice if the check in had asked us when checking in if we wanted that. Wouldn't everyone want that? The front desk lady was very rude and said that she was the only employee here and would need to call and have someone come from home if we wanted our buggy bed changed. For the price we paid for this room....... very disappointed Marriott, very disappointed. read more

Simple review. All Marriott gains are basically gonna be the same. Good service. Clean establishment and clean rooms. You get the same thing every time. When we showed up, this place is going through a huge renovation. Literally, they had stacks of brand new beds outside the hotel. And stacks of boxes in the reception area. Looked like brand new wallpaper too. So they are actively making big changes to this hotel. The rooms at most Fairfield suites are the same....decent size bathroom. Refrigerator. Microwave. Etc....this one had the same. I didn't notice a small gym. But the place is conveniently located right off the Hwy.moderately priced as well. On the road and looking for a place to stop for a min. This place is good enough. Hot breakfast in the morning, soft bed, and clean room. read more

1). The rooms are old. There's paint missing and the furniture was very marked up. 2). I asked for one of the throw away razors and the girl at the desk told me they didn't have any. I would have to buy one The next morning I went down and asked the same question. The person attending the desk said absolutely and handed me one. 3). The bananas at breakfast were emerald green each morning - nowhere near ripe. The pineapple looked fresh but had a weird preservative taste to it. 4). My mother fell in the shower. There were no ice machines on the third floor. I had to go to floor one to get ice. I asked the new front desk staffer if they had an emergency kit with an ice pack or a zip lock bag so it wouldn't leak. She said no to both and just looked at me. Didn't ask if my mother was OK. Didn't ask how injured she was or if an ambulance was needed. Showed no empathy. Just looked at me like "why was I still standing there". 5). The housecleaning crew was the loudest group I have ever heard at a hotel and I have stayed on the same floor as kids baseball teams. It started about 8 am. They were yelling down the halls at one another and laughing up a storm. Long story longer - the staff was atrocious in more ways than one. If you need a hotel in Ukiah, I recommend the Hilton next door. read more

If you're looking for a swanky hotel, you need to keep driving. But if you just need a comfortable bed, quiet room and better than average service at a reasonable price then you have found you home away from home. We typically stay here during the holidays when visiting my family. The hotel is conveniently located right off highway 101 and easy to find. The lobby and checkin experience is always friendly. The rooms are spacious and offer a comfortable setting. There are a few suites that from time to time are available but it's hit and miss. The in room televisions are nice and are equipped with high definition satellite tv. I've never taken part in the complimentary breakfast, but have walked through the dining area and it does look pretty decent. There are a few restaurants in the area, one of my personal favorites is a Mexican spot Just a short three minute drive (Taqueria Jalos http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-jalos-ukiah). They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and not at all expensive. read more

We wasn't greeted as we walked in. There was a transient right behind us that left her belongings at the door to enter. Sadly there are a tons of homeless in the area but that seems to be every where now days. I asked for a room upgrade and I was told it wasn't available. I checked online and there was suites available. The front desk just didn't want to do it. I've stayed at this hotel before with no issues and have been upgraded in the past. Some front desk associates are strange "gate keepers" like that. The room was small and I would have preferred an accessible room to hang out in. Those are wider and more spacious. My husband went to visit his grandfather that is home on Hospice. My 2 year old and I stayed at the hotel to swim and he had a blast! The next morning we was swimming at 9am. I liked they had a indoor pool and hot tub. I do appreciate that the restrooms require a "key". Breakfast was average exactly what it's suppose to be. The breakfast lady was not friendly or attentive and we went out to eat at 6:40am anyways. The front lady 8/28/22 was a pleasure. I asked for a late check out 2pm but might not even need it. Just depending on my son, his nap, and when we depart. We ended up leaving at 12pm during his nap time to travel. read more

I think this is what Jeff P. meant: 1.) Simple - A room with a bed and two chairs. 2.) Basic - TV, Shower, Fridge, and Microwave. 3.) Across from Wal-Mart - Yes, but you wish it was something else. 4.) Not a frill to be found - true, but you do get a jacuzzi in some rooms. With open windows so you can view the TV from your watery throne. It'd be "big pimpin" if the TV was a flat-screen. Come on, it's 2010... TV's cost less than a two day stay at the inns, and they still can't find the money to upgrade? Lastly, when trying to open the closet, the doors came off and almost fell on me. That's not too cool. I called the front desk and they asked if I was going to use it for the night, and I told them "not anymore". They just said leave it as is and they'll fix it. I guess that means, "we'll get to it when it matters". To conclude, it's a safe pick if you're forced to stay in Ukiah, but if not, I'd go one or two towns away. read more

First let me say, we've stayed here before and had a better experience. They are remodeling and took out our favorite feature, which was the spa rooms. The king room we had this time was a really odd broken up layout with a seperate seating area. Our room had a little taped on number and the hallways had no baseboards. It was clean as you would expect from the Marriott brand but all in all seemed old. I checked out the breakfast room but chose not to eat. Just grabbed coffee and got out. Very nice rooms, clean and modern. Service is not up to Marriott standards however. Stayed here for two nights on business. Front desk greeted me as a Marriott Gold Elite member, and upgraded my room to a King Suite. PROS: Nice looking hotel and room. We found our room clean and modern looking. Wi-Fi worked well. AC unit worked really well, and not too loud either. Great location, right off the 101, and walking distance to some restaurants, brewery, Starbucks, and a Wal-Mart. CONS: Breakfast wasn't well maintained, the hot water and coffee wasn't refilled very often, and some breakfast items weren't replenished soon enough. Treadmill in the gym was an old unit, the belt didn't move at a steady speed, tended to slow down and speed up when it hit a certain spot. Front desk staff tended to stay in the back room and only come out when someone walked up to the counter. I would prefer to have them at the front desk at all times so that I'm not standing there for 30-60 seconds waiting for them to see me. I know I'm picky about my list of CONS, but then again Marriott charges a lot more than other freeway off-ramp hotels, and so I expect to get a lot more. I have also been to many other Marriott hotels and know that service at this particular Fairfield Inn could be better. On another note, when my room was upgraded (as a perk), the computer system brought in the higher room charge, instead of keeping me at the rate I had booked. It resulted in charging me an additional $80.00. The gal at the front desk confirmed it was an error and she immediately corrected it. Kudos for her! But overall, it's a comfortable hotel, clean rooms, modern amenities, very nice beds, good Wi-Fi, and full hot breakfast. If I were to come back to Ukiah, I'd stay here again, hoping the service has improved. read more

I stayed here for two nights while on business travel. I was greeted promptly (plus), welcomed as a rewards customer (plus) and was offered the second or third floor to choose for my room (plus, thanks for asking instead of just giving me whatever you pleased). My room was clean, plenty of towels in the bathroom and a big screen tv. Only downfall was the tv remote in my room only worked to power on and off the tv and the volume. Channel would not change nor did the guide button work. No biggie, I called down to the front desk and was told someone would come up to check it out. I declined since I was leaving to grab some dinner. The beds are so comfortable, it is probably the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a hotel in a long time. Third time staying here for a business trip and the staff are super attentive and friendly. I wanted to give kudos to Araceli, she remembered me from the second trip. My check-in was super quick! Perfectly clean, fresh smelling, and nice for $84.00/nt. It's in Ukiah, for cripes sake- it's not the Reg Bev Wil! Plus, it's literally "down the street" from the Mendo Brewing Company- woo hoo! Haven't been here many times but each time hasn't been impressive. They have construction equipment everywhere and aren't making any progress. The cost hasn't come down at all either to make up for the poor experience. The front desk has been hit or miss on their quality, sometimes being flat out rude. read more

Found this one by accident, it is being remodeled and it was wonderful. The rooms were fresh and clean and the mattresses were incredible. Great staff and just a great experience, they acted like they liked us! The rate was very fair and it was a great nights rest! Lots of places to eat very close by. My take away - not worth the price. I'm really not the guy to dis an establishment, but for $150 a night, this hotel isn't near worth it. When I asked about a government rate (fire department) I was told they don't' offer it on the weekends. OK, but later that evening I spied two BLM trucks and crews in the parking lot.... Pros- in a new section of town, near starbucks and some good restaurants, far enough from 101 that you don't hear the noise,, in-room mini fridge and micro, nice big HD TV. Cons- no cover on light in bathroom just two bare flourescent bulbs, AC unit roars like a jet engine even on low, chipped paint on walls and chipped furniture, worn pillows with no oomph, on my way to breakfast a ceiling light fixture was lying in the hallway that had fallen. When I stopped by the front desk to report it I found no one, when I stopped by after breakfast I found no one, when I poked my head to the kitchen area I found no one but the big refrigerator door was wide open... Marriott needs to consider taking their name off the sign. read more

This would have been a four star review, until yesterday, not because it's a four star hotel, it's a Fairfield Inn, but it's clean, people are pleasant and then it changed. Visiting my son in Ukiah CA for Thanksgiving and have stayed two nights with no complaints, until thanksgiving day. We left the hotel room at 10:45 AM for dinner at with my son and his wife at their house. Came back tired and ready for bed at 11:00 PM and found the room had not been made up. That's not the worse thing in the world right? Call downstairs and they will send someone up with fresh towels and the linens can wait till tomorrow right? And that's what happened. But the way it happened. When I called they woman at the front desk was less than hospitable ( some needs to remind her this is the hospitality business) Her first comment should have been sorry, can we send some fresh towels up, or something to that effect Instead " well, did you leave your sign up?" ( I'm assuming she meant the" do not disturb " sign, they don't have one for maid service.) No. I didn't. She said there's no one here now to help me. I asked for clean towels to be brought up and again was told she's the only one here and it would be a while. What's a while? I was going to ask but she hung up. I don't think she meant to hang up on our conversation, she just figured we were done. Ten minutes go by and evidently someone else was here because a six foot , two hundred pound man in a leather vest wordlessly handed me three towels and left. Twilight zone. Clean rooms, right price and everyone was nice! We were only here for a short stay during the Thanksgiving holiday and barely spent any time at the hotel, so I can't write too much about our time at Fairfield Inn & Suites. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review? When my husband asked the front desk a question about the area and was looking for a nearby store they weren't extremely helpful. He did better on his own by going out and driving around town quickly. All in all, a nice place for an affordable rate. We'll be back! read more

Fairfield Inn is very nice place at first look. Employees are nice and helpful and they have decent services. The bad part shows when you get in the room. The walls are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING and the rooms smell like urine or something like it. Their pool is nice but everything just is kind of run down. read more

About average for a Fairfield Inn. At check-in we had to sign an affidavit that we wouldn't have pets or smoking in our room. Which was fine, because we are allergic to both. Keep Driving. Priced comparable to the Hampton and Comfort Inns next door, but is lacking in many ways. Apparently Priceline used a bad card so we were charged but the hotel was not paid, resulting in my husband's back and forth with the front desk at 11:15 pm after a long drive with 2 sleeping kids waiting in the car. They kept telling us they needed to run our card again! They did not clean our rooms each day. I don't like to make coffee where I poop. Food was blah and the coffee was not refilled. Wi-fi spotty. Back door, near our room was propped open and dudes smoking weed in their car out back did not make me feel safe. Way too much frustration for a short stay after a long drive when all you want (and pay for) is a nice place for your family to get some rest and relaxation. Oh, and it is not updated/modern, like other reviews say. It's 1980s "casino chic". And not in a good retro way. And we didn't even get the King Suite that we paid for online. read more

Staff was very friendly and hotel room was clean. Pretty overpriced though. Complimentary breakfast is a very nice feature however it was not good at all. The fruit tasted like they had some funky sauce on or syrup on it and the eggs weren't edible. The Marriott chain should be ashamed to have this hotel adorning their name. I feel bad for the staff. They're great. That's where the amenities end for this place. Right now it's Saturday, 10 min past midnight. There's a party in the hallway and in the parking lot. Staff turns a deaf ear to it all. When you arrive, the junkies across the street at Walmart are waiting to pounce on your unattended vehicle. There is no parking because of construction on the building next to it who's made it their trash zone. Try to use the "business office". It's a computer frozen on the intro screen and not even hooked up to the WiFi. But wait there's more! The entire first floor is under construction as well. The gym ( a treadmill, a stationary bike and a few towels) are now in a gutted room and all of the guests are crammed into the second and 3rd floors.
