Wonderful relaxing campgrounds with fantastic customer service! Our group had a great time despite the hot weather. Cooled off in the pool as well as the swimming hole. Vegan snacks & popsicles in the store too! Loved the fire pit & we didn't have to buy wood. Bathrooms & showers were clean & very nice for camp grounds. We will definitely return!

Excellent venue for our high school choir's retreat! We had over 35 people in three different lodges which were all extremely clean with new furniture and stainless steel appliances in the kitchens. For choirs, or any other singers, the acoustics in Mandal Hall were extraordinary and one of the singers commented that it was better than the cathedrals in Europe (from where they had just sang over the summer.) Enjoyable activities such as archery, paddle boats, and hiking, campfire with s'mores to name a just a few options. We also appreciated the very accommodating and friendly staff lead by Susan. They were always quick to respond to our big group's needs. We had a great time and will definitely return!

Here are a couple of deer we saw around dusk.

This was our 2nd trip to the property and it did not disappoint. Here was our scene: 1rst group - stayed in cottage #46. 2 full beds with luxury linens, 4 pillows per bed. There is a small table and 2 chairs on the front deck. There is a small kitchenette inside with a bar height table, with I believe 3 seats. There is a small fridge, sink, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee press, dishes, glasses, mugs, flatware and spices. There are paper towels, Kleenex, extra tp under the bathroom sink. There is also AIR CONDITIONING and overhead fans. It was AMAZING to be out in the heat and come back to a cool space. The bathroom has a huge shower, heater, sink and traditional toilet. It come equipped with Honest brand body soap and Alba hair products. There are 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels & bath mat. There were extra towels under the sink, if needed. It was SPOTLESS. Not a speck of dust or cobweb or dust bunny anywhere which is absolutely amazing because I've stayed at other 4+ star properties that were not as clean and this was in the woods! Bravo to the cleaning crew! It was such a spacious little cottage and we slept very well. 2nd group did tent camping. They had a nice, big flat spot near the fire pit. They had plenty of room to spread out and it backed up to a creek. The bugs weren't too bad and it was pretty quiet. They got to look at all the amazing stars because there is virtually no light pollution. The frogs were GLORIOUS, singing at night. The property has EXTREMELY clean bathrooms and showers. They are in trailers and so it's very private. There is also a Yoda for all the Star Wars fans, a pool, a garden, a volleyball net, a fire pit, a miniature golf course, a small pond with stand up paddle board, kayak and paddle boats. The paddle boats were in need of a little love but we just used the oars to navigate. There are beautiful trees and native grasses and spring flowers everywhere. There are walking trails and we even saw a ton of birds, lizards and deer. They have a beautiful path that leads up to the top of the hill and overlooks the entire property. There is a yoga platform, a picnic table, and a couple of benches for resting in the shade. There is also a very beautiful gong at the top of the hill. Not too far from the property is also a lake and some small towns with a farmers market in Middleton on Fridays. Calistoga is 30 minutes away. The property would be an AMAZING location for weddings or reunions. There are small yurts, cabins, cottages, rv hookups, and tent camping available. It is a bit of a drive on some curvy roads but the scenery is spectacular and completely worth the trip if you're looking to get out of civilization but too far. I HIGHLY recommend this place. It was easy to book, easy to check in and out. You can book on their website and I found them on Airbnb too.

This hidden gem winery is tucked away in the beautiful Dry Creek Valley. It is absolutely gorgeous and provides an intimate and elevated experience that is definitely worth experiencing! If you are looking for an elevated experience in wine country, look no further! There is a garden area that overlooks the vineyards that we enjoyed during our food and wine pairing and the views were spectacular. They also have a cave as well as a RTV experience if you are looking for a unique private experience away from it all. The service at this winery is excellent! Some of the tastings are with Mary Roy herself and these experiences are extra special since she is the owner, chef, and winemaker. She is an incredible woman that excels at everything she does. Thankfully for me, that includes exceptional wine and food pairings! The food is flavorful and phenomenal and they even have bees onsite where the honey is used to make their amazing chocolates! You are in for a real treat with the food and wine pairings here! Highly recommend visiting Capo Creek Winery if you are in the Healdsburg area!

We booked a food and wine pairing so we brought our hungry tummies! F O O D & W I N E : First course: Rosè with Sonoma greens, burrata cheese, and candied pecans. Second course: Playlist with coconut lime chicken. Third course: Grenache with Harvest Raviolini. Fourth course: Zinfandel with stuffed piquillo peppers. Fifth course: Open Mic with mushroom tart. I was so stressed with all the details the last week of my wedding and she took the lead and really helped make our reception fantastic. She realized my vision for how I wanted the tables and decor to look and hit a home run. Everything was perfect! Her and her team went above and beyond doing little extras to make our wedding day memorable. She helped me relax and not worry so I could 100% enjoy my wedding day. I can't say enough good things about Elsa! I am so thankful we found her, she help make our day magical.

Stop stressing and book Elsa!…read more I was planning a destination wedding in Sonoma all the way from Chicago and was feeling the stress of the distance. I hired Elsa to help (aka - take over) all wedding decor. She and I exchanged a few emails and she pretty much took it from there! She got my vision and executed against it flawlessly. I met with her in person at the venue walk through where we covered a few remaining details. Words cannot describe what a relief Elsa was! She was at the venue early, already setting up by the time I arrived. She created incredible and unique centerpieces consisting of vintage books, small vases, tea cups, and flower blossoms. She also presented my seating cards in a totally unique way - she hung them from suspended frames. Now if this isn't enough to win you over, Elsa did something that SHOCKED me. Throughout my wedding planning I often felt that my venders were over priced and taking advantage of the fact that I was trying to coordinate my wedding remotely. A few days after my wedding, we were opening the cards we received from the wedding and found one from Elsa. She wrote us a kind note and included a check for a partial refund. In her note she explained that a few of the flowers she purchased for our centerpieces had wilted and she wasn't able to use them. The day of the wedding, I had no idea this was even an issue because everything looked perfect. However, Elsa's honesty is refreshing and I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Elsa! You made our day perfect!

In my opinion, having a wedding planner was a necessity and one I would advise other brides to have, even if it means scaling back on other costs for your wedding reception. For me personally, having a wedding planner was the difference between me just being able to "pull off" my reception and me being able to enjoy it. To save some money, I hired KWE for month of/day of coordination rather than full event planning (though they were available from the get-go for contract help, referrals and all-around advice). The month before my event, Kate swooped in and took care of all the details: designing the layout of the venue, coordinating with the vendors, etc. The week before, day before and the day of she took care of everything! She picked up supplies, was on hand to greet and coordinate with other vendors, did setup and cleanup, delivered items to my house after the reception, helped keep the party on track and so much more! I am not sure if there were any snafus (though I am sure there were, how couldn't there have been?) because if there were, she took care of them on the spot. She even jumped into action when I spilled red wine on my gown early in the evening. I really, really, really cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it was to have Kate and her team on board. I strongly advise you to consider hiring her for your event.

She is very professional and always has a can do attitude. She will strive to make your event special and if you have a certain vision, she will bend over backwards to make it happen. Our wedding was interfaith with two ceremonies and there were many cultural aspects throughout the day. With all this, it was very difficult to plan and keep track of all the moving parts but Kate was the glue that held it all together. She has been a pleasure to work with and was a calm, reassuring presence during the whole process. I want her and her team to get the recognition they deserve as a superb event planning business. Thank you Kate
