A nice on-site store selling swag, fishing poles, fishing gear, snacks, ice cream, sno-cones, some essentials and a snack/coffee bar. The owners are welcoming and always available for any questions. We stayed in a Yurt. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. The Yurt had a nice kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Family is what the Narrows is all about. Fridays have a nice community fire by the lakeside for s'mores and socializing with other guest. Every Saturday night is movie night by the lakes edge. The Narrows truly wants that family chill vibe at the resort and does a great job of creating it. This is not the place to come for drunken loud partying. I know other guests and I really appreciate the wholesomeness of the entire resort and the experience it provides our families. I watched my young daughter catch her 1st fish ever, from the dock. She talked about her newfound love for fishing and swimming with the other kids, for the entire drive home. My older kids paddle boarded across the lake. The kids loved the pontoon boat ride around the entire lake, with rope plenty of swings dotting the lake. The afternoon ice cream from the on-site store for each of the kids in the afternoon were a daily highlight. The Narrows is doing everything right to make it all about families and we will definitely be coming back annually.

Concern Regarding Our Recent Experience…read more We have been staying at your lodge for many years, and for a long time it was a place we truly enjoyed. We always felt welcomed, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and well cared for. Unfortunately, over time, we have noticed a significant change in both the level of service and the way guests are treated. Tonight's experience was particularly upsetting. I was included on a reservation with friends and had planned to stay at the lodge with them. My plans changed, and I needed to return home, so I stopped by the room for only a few minutes to let my friends know. While I was sitting outside the room, management came to the door and informed me that I would need to pay an additional $60 simply for being there--even though I was already included on the reservation and was only there briefly before leaving. I found this extremely disappointing and difficult to understand. I wasn't an unregistered visitor attempting to stay overnight. I was a guest listed on the reservation whose plans had changed and who stopped by briefly before heading home. What bothers me most isn't simply the $60 charge. It's the way the situation was handled and the feeling that, after years of staying at your lodge and supporting your business, the warmth and hospitality we once experienced seem to be gone. We have many wonderful memories of staying here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I sincerely hope management will reconsider how situations like this are handled and remember that hospitality and the way longtime guests are treated matter just as much as policies and fees.

Also grabbed some cocktails from the outdoor bar from for the adults and the bartender was really friendly! it's a good deal too! $15 for adult & $10 for children 10 and under. Highly recommend the day pass for family fun!

We stayed here this past weekend as a short getaway for my birthday. The place has potential, but…read moreunfortunately much of the "resort" promised on the website isn't even available. The customer service here is not great. The people are nice enough, but the people working the front desk do not seem to know the answers to even basic questions. Even though the place was completely empty, they charge for an early check in. Our reservation was not correct, and they put us in a regular double room instead of the suite we asked for. Had to return to the lodge and get all new keys and room after unloading and reloading the car. We also paid for a late checkout, and we still got locked out of our room and no one responded to our call. We had to go down to the lobby, which isn't easy here, after being promised someone was on their way. Getting anything takes forever or no one knows the answer. We stayed Saturday to Monday. Unfortunately, the onsite food service and bars close at 3pm on Sundays even though that was our full day there. The tiki bar was hardly open to get drinks by the pool. Essentially the only thing to actually do here is swim in the pool, get a massage, or use the gym. No kayak rentals, no mini-golf course, no pontoon cruises, etc despite all of this being advertised on the website. It was mostly empty and felt very abandoned in most parts of the property. The highlights: the pool is nice and people were very friendly. The bartender was awesome and went above and beyond to do what she could. The actual suite was nice, but not worth the price based on the other amenities being unavailable. The massage therapist was amazing! If the owners put any effort into this place, it could be great. The lake and scenery are amazing. In its current state, we wouldn't return.

Here's the updated version with your additional comments included:…read more My family and I were so excited to visit WorldMark Clear Lake, and while there were some things we enjoyed, our stay was disappointing overall. The two-bedroom, two-bath townhome has a fantastic layout and felt very spacious. We also appreciated having the barbecue on our private patio, which was very convenient for family meals. The living room was comfortable, and we were able to enjoy watching the soccer game on the TV. Unfortunately, the resort could use much better maintenance and housekeeping. As we walked up to the second floor, the stairways were noticeably dirty and looked like they needed to be power washed. There were spiderwebs throughout the property, and the number of bugs everywhere was overwhelming. The property itself is in desperate need of renovation. The front entrance and common areas are the first impression guests receive, and they were not clean or well-maintained. The overall appearance of the resort lacked curb appeal and did not feel welcoming. The townhome has a wonderful layout and plenty of potential, but it also needs updating and a much more thorough cleaning. The biggest disappointment was the customer service at the front office. I couldn't believe the way my family was treated. The staff was not welcoming or helpful, and they would greatly benefit from customer service training. Guests should feel valued and respected from the moment they arrive. The fitness center has quality equipment, but the room is so small that the large machines make it feel cramped. We were also unable to enjoy the pool because it was overcrowded with large inflatable floats, loud rap music, and there was nowhere to sit and relax. One small inconvenience was that the living room TV only had one remote, which made it difficult for everyone to use. Overall, WorldMark Clear Lake has a beautiful location and a well-designed townhome layout, but the resort needs significant renovations, better cleanliness, improved maintenance, a more presentable front entrance, and much stronger customer service. With these improvements, it could provide the relaxing vacation experience guests expect.

Additional amenities include private pool for guests, basketball court, playground, small basic arcade, and a pool table in the main check-in building. So why the negative review? Upon check-out, we found a used condom under the bed and a blue pill of some sort near the used condom. Traveling with a 2-year old that likes to pick up stuff off the ground and other kids ranging from 6-8 year olds is not what I would imagine we'd find in this hotel. Cleaning needs to be done thoroughly as this is just disgusting and gross, no better than the average dirty Motel 6. It's unfortunate that we'd found this upon check-out, or else I'd ask for a different room or deep cleaning service. If the floor is not clean, I don't want to know what else is not clean. Not sure if we'd be returning again.

After checking in at the office we met another family at the campsite. At the time of this posting there were no reserved campsites, only reserved yurts and tiny houses. But for the tent campsites it was first come and first served. This created a small mix up with the family who had reserved two tiny houses and thought it included the campsite between the two houses. It did not and our families ended up setting up there due to the shade and even ground. We got to try the paddle boats which was very fun but come prepared for lots of mosquitoes (only around the pond not all over the campsite). If you forget big spray they have some choices in the office as long as you get there before the office closes. They have natural and chemical options. There are no campsites at the tent camping sites but they do have two community fire pits and it was easy to make use of those. One night was not enough to enjoy all the amenities but even more reason to come back soon. And we do hope to be back. This place was very fun, easy going, and thoughtfully set up.

For our family, spending $200 to $250 a night is not a casual decision. We're not a wealthy family, so when we spend that kind of money, we're looking for a place where everyone can relax and feel like it was worth it. Usually that gets us a hotel room with two beds, a pool, and maybe a hot tub. This place is on a completely different level. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with acres of land to explore, hiking trails, bike trails, and enough space that you can actually breathe. The kids loved the mini golf, the fire pits with wood provided, the swimming pool, and the free bikes. Our accommodations felt more like a little apartment than a hotel room. We had two bedrooms, a hot plate, a refrigerator, and all the kitchen supplies we needed. It made the whole stay easy and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly without feeling chaotic. The service was equally impressive. Everyone we interacted with was kind, generous, and genuinely seemed happy to help. We spent Father's Day here, and something rare happened: everybody got what they wanted. The kids had the freedom to explore and have their own adventures, and I had the chance to rest, recharge, and join in whenever I wanted. Nobody was bored. Nobody was frustrated. We were all happy.
