No day passes, public boat launch, or public camping. They do have nice rustic cabins.

He's been here before, my husband and I have not. We came late July for 4 days/3 nights and the weather was perfect in the mid 80's. Water wasn't too cold. It's always windy there I feel like. We had a really wonderful time. We came to blue lake last August at a different campground and it was over100 degrees every day. This lodge was pretty cool. I've seen the negative reviews and I do understand where people are coming from. However the pros did outweigh the cons for us. Apparently there is new ownership. The two men who work there and that we encountered the time we were there were very nice, helpful and always around if we needed anything. Garbages were dumped every day , property seemed well maintained. We stayed in the suite with the full kitchen and futon in living room for the kids. It had AC which was very nice! I guess my only complaints was - 1) "beach" is definitely on the smaller side. wasn't really a problem for us though 2) the rooms were definitely not very clean. The floors were very nasty and I wouldn't let anyone in the family walk on them barefoot. The futon was fabric and yucky stains everywhere , everything in the kitchen felt sticky, walls were dirty, etc. But you can't really expect much since you're at a cabin at the lake. I just wish it had been a cleaner. Like floors should be vacuumed and mopped after every guest and it was very clear that they had not been for a very long time. 3) you have to pay to use their propane BBQs. I So we had our own little camping stove we brought and used. 4) definitely feels a bit overpriced for what you get here. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay. It was fun to jump and swim off the dock, we caught tons of bluegill and bass from the dock every day/night. The grassy area out front looking out in the lake was beautiful, great view. They had tables and chairs outside the rooms and on the grass. We brought a SUP and lots of floaties and was at the beach /in the water most the days They don't have any little store of sorts but there is one a short walk away they have some basic little things, ice cream etc. Overall we had an amazing trip with lovely memories made, we'll definitely plan to come back here again some day. We're doing pine acres next year but we do like both spots so may switch it up each year.

Rooms were clean with fresh bedding & towels, plenty of parking, beds were comfortable & the place was quiet. There is a good restaurant across the highway & on Main Street in Upper Lake. Pizza parlor about a block away. The place has gone downhill & I would not stay there again & would not recommend to anyone who cares about a stinky room. I went to the store & bought a can of Febreze, sprayed half of it in my room & still it smelled bad. Turned on the fan & left it on all night to bring in fresh air from outside. It is the cheapest place in the area but there are better places nearby. You get what you pay for.

There was a red substance leading from the bathroom to the sink. It was bright red still letting me know it was new. I stepped in it when I wasn't looking and it was sticky. There is dust along the back of the headboard and old dog food behind the side table. If you are going to charge a pet fee, clean after the pet otherwise what am I paying for? There was a hair hanging from the blow-dryer and a hair in the shower towards the back of the tub. Just gross. I would have had my boyfriend go ask for a new room but im not optimistic any of the other rooms would be better. On the good notes, there is a TV, fridge, and microwave in the room. There is also a nice grassy area in the back where you can take pets potty. I don't mind staying at cheap hotels/motels but this is the first time where I legitimately just would have rather not stopped.

My wife and I made reservations through Expedia with Traveler's Inn for Tue, Jul 28 to Wed, Jul 29, (Itinerary # 73463144264880). We were planning to stay there on our way to Santa Barbara, CA where I was to perform some music at a friend's wedding, but then I just received the bad news that I will be needing to start radiation therapy for prostate cancer in July. The treatment involves 8 weeks of radiation sessions, 5 days per week, and must be uninterrupted. At a time when anxiety and stress are elevated I have to deal with spending $93.00 for a hotel stay that I can't use! Cancelling seven weeks in advance didn't seem matter to Traveler's Inn! How horrible is it that a business can be so cold and uninterested in an individual's specific circumstances, and does not offer a refund. I could understand it, and it would be justifiable, if the cancellation came within 1 week of the reserved date, because it might be difficult to fill that room in such a short time. But 7 weeks in advance!?!?!? I am so shocked by such a policy. I'm sorry to vent so much anger and frustration like this, but I am overwhelmed by the user-unfriendliness of this policy.

The town of Williams may be small, but it has several solid restaurant options along with fast food and pizza spots--and even DoorDash delivers right to the hotel, which is a nice bonus after a long day of driving. The hotel itself has been fully renovated, and it really shows. You can tell the ownership genuinely cares about both the property and their guests. Everything feels clean, updated, and well maintained. Amenities are excellent for a stopover or short stay. There's a swimming pool, a grill for cooking, and even a small gym. Parking is plentiful, and most of the time you can park right outside your room, which is great if you're traveling with a car full of belongings or just want peace of mind. In the morning, they offer a basic continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, danishes, and yogurt. There's no indoor dining area, but you can easily take it back to your room or enjoy it by the pool. The rooms are well stocked with soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and a shower cap, and I really appreciated the extra space heater in addition to the standard AC/heater wall unit--such a thoughtful touch. The internet is free and good signal. Pro tip: Book directly through the hotel's website. It's cheaper than Booking.com or Hotels.com (I saved $8), and the price difference more than makes up for any points you might earn elsewhere. It's also cheaper than walking in to book, and they do fill up quickly--when we checked in, only a couple of rooms were left. I've been very happy with both of my stays and will absolutely continue stopping here on future trips. Highly recommended!
