My dog loves the year round creek.

This is such a beautiful place. The new owner Joe has really been turning the resort around. He has made many updates and added the coolest tree house that you can rent with the most amazing view! There's also cabins to rent and camping is also available. There's two giant pools and a kids pool. There's even a place to buy food if you don't want to pack a picnic. I love to take my dogs to the year round creek that's on the property. Great place to hang out during the hot summer days. Or take in the view as it snows in the winter. For the outdoor lover!

You have to pay a 15$ membership fee then another 15$ to get in. The food also has prices. Very pricey

Expensive. Can't bring your own food or drinks (not even water!) no alcohol allowed. Expensive food, but good (hence the one star.)

The cabins are rustic and you must clean them at the end of your stay which isn't hard as they provide mop and broom for you. The pool is cold and refreshing and the overall atmosphere is friendly. The owners are a wonderful family of hard working individuals who have dedicated their lives to the success of this place. Long term families who come year after year are appreciative of having a stable, familiar place to reunite with their families and friends year after year. They're old school and it's good. So don't expect payment by app or wifi. You may have to leave a message but they'll get back to you. They're a family run business and they're busy people! My extended family has been coming to WP for 44 years now, and while I can't always get away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley life to join in, I appreciate every moment I spend here. It's just regular people from the Bay Area escaping the madness for a little while, reconnecting with family and friends and enjoying a beer (or two...) It is as enjoyable as you make it. While there is a pool for adults and kiddos, bocce ball, tennis court, bbq area, swings and playground, there are also porches on each cabin, which is a key ingredient for us. Time spent on these porches growing up with family and friends have created memories that will last a lifetime, and I thank the Strickler family for every one.

For our family, spending $200 to $250 a night is not a casual decision. We're not a wealthy family, so when we spend that kind of money, we're looking for a place where everyone can relax and feel like it was worth it. Usually that gets us a hotel room with two beds, a pool, and maybe a hot tub. This place is on a completely different level. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, with acres of land to explore, hiking trails, bike trails, and enough space that you can actually breathe. The kids loved the mini golf, the fire pits with wood provided, the swimming pool, and the free bikes. Our accommodations felt more like a little apartment than a hotel room. We had two bedrooms, a hot plate, a refrigerator, and all the kitchen supplies we needed. It made the whole stay easy and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly without feeling chaotic. The service was equally impressive. Everyone we interacted with was kind, generous, and genuinely seemed happy to help. We spent Father's Day here, and something rare happened: everybody got what they wanted. The kids had the freedom to explore and have their own adventures, and I had the chance to rest, recharge, and join in whenever I wanted. Nobody was bored. Nobody was frustrated. We were all happy. That's a pretty remarkable thing. Take your family, take your friends, take your company to Mandala. It's amazing

I got off the phone earlier today with whom I think was "Joe", possibly the manager regarding my complaint over a dirty room (esp floors) and perhaps sheets that had dirt or maybe sand. The customer service was probably the worst I have experienced, including dealing with the French (no I'm not Francophobic, my wife is French and we go there a couple of times a year). After taking a morning shower I noticed dirt outside the shower and after walking back to my bed my feet were black from the dirty floor, yes black. I left early in the morning for a court case, before the managers were available at 10am. By noon yesterday I was driving back to Monterey. I only asked for an adjustment to the $11 surcharge for that room though a more reasonable accommodation should have been offered given the experience. The push-back was swift and unyielding - "you waited two days to inform us" (actually one day given that we were then driving for 4.5 hrs) and he indicated that we couldn't "prove it". We have stayed at Eagle & Rose Inn several times previously without issue and I am very disappointed over "Joe's" tone and lack of consideration, all over 11 bucks. As such I give this treatment and experience a big thumbs down. C'est la vie, as the French would say...

Our cottage was incredibly cozy, and our days were filled with simple joys: harvesting vegetables from the garden, feeding the bunnies, collecting eggs from the chicken coop, helping shepherd the goats, and playing with the cats. There's also a beautiful beach less than a 5-minute drive away, making it the perfect balance of farm and coast. At Mar Vista, fresh eggs are delivered to your cottage every day. On our last day, we noticed every single egg in our egg basket was blue! We realized Cab or Deanna had probably hand-picked the blue eggs for us after learning that our toddler was in a phase where she loved everything blue. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to us. And who knew eggs came in so many beautiful colors? That was one of many incredible things we learned/experienced at Mar Vista. She had been here before but it was my first time and I can't say enough good things about it. Deanna and Cab clearly love their place and share it freely. Beautiful views and so relaxing to just sit out in nature. Don't miss the stars at night and do not miss getting the fried chicken basket! We definitely will return, I think it needs to at least be a yearly event!
