That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym. The pool area is stunning, and we loved riding the bikes they provide to explore the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Everywhere you go, there's curated art to enjoy, which adds such a unique and elevated touch. They also host special events throughout the year. We especially love their summer movie nights, lounging on the lawn with fresh popcorn, wine, and Red Vines is such a vibe. It was clean and bright. The pool, while I didn't partake, was cute. Not resorty, but fine. There were bocce courts, fire pits, a ton of outdoor seating, a gym. The rooms were large, the bed was comfy. They offer a free shuttle to downtown (although it's only about a mile) and I even spied some bikes. The complimentary breakfast was solid - eggs, turkey sausage, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, a bunch of fixings. Across the street is a Plank Coffee, which is delightful. I also forgot a toothbrush. They sent one up and when I opened the door a little robot name Rose gave me one! CUTE! Overall, a great stay. I'd stay again.

I know the line in Hilton: " Thank You For being a Diamond Member....". Fast forward to 5 pm. Elliot still not letting me check in. I'm waiting in the lobby being super quiet and obviously aware of his tactics. Another person, female, comes by and ask me if the could help. I say yes I'm trying to check in. She says "Yes there are other rooms available would you like to check in". Of course I quickly take her offer and check in. I ask the housekeeping, where do you get ice? She says the front desk. I go back and guess who is there? Yup Elliot He says "OH yeah I will get you ice " . He goes around the front desk so I cannot see him. I hear him grunt out a big loogie as he cleared his throat rummaging with the ice scooper. Well at that point, I drive to the store to buy my own ice. True story The other thing which was also very odd about this Tapestry Hilton were the holes in the towels. As ai waiting in the pool area, several other guests called to complain about holes in all the towels at the pool. Later once I entered my room, I noticed the same thing. All of the bath large towels had holes. Odd... And the phish is walking way far away from West County Elliot.....

The friendly employee told us a bit about the hotel as we were checked in and we got our keys. Our room was facing the interior courtyard as most of the rooms here are. We had a gas fireplace in the room which would come in handy during the cooler times of the year. We also had a little balcony which was great. I thought it might be a little noisy during the day or at night with people in the courtyard down below but it really wasn't an issue. The room had a nice clean bathroom with a fairly large shower. Double sinks as well which is always nice. The bed was comfortable, however when we checked in there was a large tear in one of the bed sheets. I called down to get it replaced, unfortunately housekeeping had already gone home. The front desk person offered to change the sheets for us, but we did that ourselves. The hotel has some wine tasting nights, though I'm not really sure how consistent they are. We didn't partake, but it may be available. They do have self service laundry available at the sister hotel which is right across the parking lot. The detergent is sold in a vending machine near the laundry room. There is lots of parking (you need a tag displayed in your car) and you can access the rooms either by stairs or elevator. Just a little ways down from the hotel you'll find a great trail that goes into town along a little stream which I really enjoyed. I enjoyed our stay at The Lodge and would recommend it. It's in a great location with lots to do around town.

That dinner was exceptional and showed us what truly outstanding hospitality can feel like. By comparison, our experience at SingleThread fell far short of the standard we expected from a restaurant of this caliber. The issues began as soon as we arrived. Despite several emails exchanged beforehand and repeated references to personalizing the experience, the staff initially got my name wrong. We were then directed to look through a small kitchen window without any explanation, context, or narrative about what we were seeing. After a few minutes, a small tea drink was served through the window, but we were then left standing in a cramped entry area for roughly 20 minutes with no meaningful interaction from the three people at the desk. During that time, we watched other parties arrive and be escorted elsewhere while no one checked in with us or explained the delay. Eventually, someone from the dining room asked whether we would like to be seated. By that point, I was already frustrated. Once seated, our server quickly described several small dishes arranged on a flower-and-moss-covered faux log, then left before we had any meaningful sense of the menu, the number of courses, or the direction of the meal. When the sommelier arrived and asked us to choose wine or pairings, I felt unable to make an informed decision because I did not know what food was coming. I ultimately chose the wine pairing simply because it seemed like the safest option given the lack of information. The service throughout the evening did not reflect what I would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. There was little storytelling, little hospitality, and very little sense that the experience was being guided with care. A server attempted to clear my plate while my fork and knife were still in my hands. Another server bumped a member of our party with a plate. Most concerning, the staff appeared to lose track of a guest's allergy and served me her plate instead. To be clear, we caught the mistake; the staff did not. That kind of lapse is difficult to overlook. We also consistently had difficulty hearing the descriptions of the dishes as they were presented, which further diminished the sense of connection to the meal. At a restaurant centered so heavily on the progression, story, and precision of each course, that lack of clear communication mattered. The food itself showed creativity, skill, and technique. There were several good courses, a few that felt unusual or less successful, and a couple of truly strong dishes, including the best duck I have had to date. Unfortunately, it was difficult to fully appreciate the food because the service failures were so distracting and so far below expectations. The one clear positive of the evening was the sommelier. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and thoughtful in discussing each pairing and in making recommendations to other members of our party. His service stood apart from the rest of the experience. We will not return. For us, the evening did not feel personal, polished, or worthy of the reputation attached to it. It felt like highly engineered cuisine paired with service that did not meet fine-dining standards. We left The French Laundry two nights earlier talking about every detail with admiration. The most amazing example is that we had breakfast around 9 am last Saturday June 27 in the outdoor area with folding fabric "roof". We finished our breakfast and left for the day. When we returned to the hotel at 4 pm, our dishes with bits of food and used coffee cups were still sitting on the table as we had left them 7 hours earlier! At $900/nt, you might have thought the hotel staff could circulate and clear tables. But you would be wrong. Unfortunately it was common throughout the hotel to see dirty used glasses and plates lying around. After checking out, I received a survey request from the hotel "Manager" asking for feedback. I mentioned the plethora of dirty plates/glasses during our 3 night stay but no one has ever responded. Also, the staff in the spa were having extended conversations on their phone's loudspeaker which was a bit jarring. It's a pretty hotel but it needs to figure out the basics of keeping it clean and sanitary.

I loved the little sitting area / front entry to the Lucy suite that had 2 comfy chairs and a little coffee/tea counter within our room. The bed and linens were very soft and comfy. The bathroom was super spacious and even had 2 sinks! Note: robes were provided in the little closet in the bedroom. The Lucy suite even has its own little balcony/patio with stairs to the ground level. The balcony/patio overlooks the parking lot. The only downside to the room is that it is in an older building and like all old buildings... the floor creaks. So, trying to walk around quietly is not going to happen. WiFi worked great for us. We had no issues logging in nor the connectivity. The food is tasty. We enjoyed all the breakfasts, and I especially liked the selection of teas. Coffee was abundant and there was even a tasty OJ! The only downside was the water dispenser ran out of water on our last night/morning. Thankfully, we found some water in the little fridge by the back door. In the afternoon, they leave out a tray of cookies and some wine. If it's busy and you get there late, it's entirely possible that there is none left of either. (Which happened to us on Saturday when we returned at 4:30... no big deal. But wanted to point out that it does happen, so don't get your heart set on there being some when you get there.) The location is Fantastic! You are like 2 blocks from The Main Plaza. You are 1 block from a fantastic Bubble Bar if you like sparkling wines and champagnes. You are 1 block from a 3-star Michelin restaurant - Single Thread. There are 3 coffee shops that are nearby. And if you forgot something... the CVS is like 2 blocks away. The point being... it is super close to everything that you don't need your car. We parked ours for 3 days in the little parking lot behind the inn and didn't move it until we departed on Sunday. Bonus: if you are a wine club member of any of Wilson Artisan family wines, you get a discount off your stay.

It also has a comfortable king sized bed. Definitely a perfect room for a special occasion. A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. The River Belle Inn goes above and beyond to create an experience you will remember and talk about for awhile. Looking forward to our next visit to River Belle Inn.

Our suites were next-door to each other so we were able to share happy hours and breakfasts together. The units are perfectly designed, decorated and located near restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything was spotless and well equipped. The communication process was excellent and the staff was friendly. We are already planning another trip to 235!
