Absolutely amazing stay in downtown Healdsburg!! Can't wait to come back! Fantastic location just a very short walk from the main Healdsburg plaza square. Valet area is super small (only criticism) but their valet staff members are very friendly and quick. Very pleasant check in process. Very cool how their front desk is basically also the bar for their restaurant (spoonbar) and lobby bar. Back patio is expansive with lots of seating and is adjacent to a beautiful pool deck with seating. Rooms were good sized and well appointed. Balcony with great views of street and looking onward towards the Healdsburg plaza. Fantastic location overall. Definitely priced much better compared to some other Healdsburg hotels. Decided to treat my boyfriend and I to a little staycation here. We came on a Sunday and I didn't realize that Healdsburg has time limits for parking even on Sunday but was lucky enough to snag a parking space right in front of the hotel before the time limit rule no longer applied. Check in was efficient, quick, and personable as the man helping us was kind and chatty. We were amazed at the service we received as well as the accommodations we ended up with. We were in room 301 which had a little balcony and was incredibly spacious for the two of us. I think the only thing I didn't enjoy was if any of us showered, the walk to the toilet in the bathroom would be incredibly wet and too overstimulating but beggars can't be choosers here. We loved how walkable the location was as well as the amenities included from the pool, hotel bikes, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Albeit I must confess I mainly booked the hotel because of it's closeness to Quail and Condor, I really enjoyed everything I didn't imagine myself appreciating. Great people (especially the ladies working the breakfast shift), really great food (we didn't expect it to be for a free breakfast but was amazing), and you seriously couldn't beat the luxurious feel! Great location... right on the main thoroughfare.... just 1/2 a block or so from the "main square". Walkable to virtually Everything in Healdsburg. I mean.. within reason, yes? For some 100 yds is too far... for others 2 miles is merely a short stroll. We liked it because it was within walking distance... neh... throwing distance to Rockpile tasting room where they have a giant Red Adirondack chair and Grapeseed where there is a Moss wall (very Instagram-able)... and just a hop, skip and a jump to Dry Creek Kitchen or 106 Rooftop or even the Elephant in the Room (for those that want to continue the party after day-drinking all day... I used to be like that... not anymore). Oh.... And really not much further to Valette... really just a short jaunt (maybe about 1/4 of a mile)... a fantastic restaurant that we quite enjoyed. Plus ..... Lots of cafes and shops all around at every which way. The rooms were efficient. Nothing fancy. Simple, comfortable. I loved having a little balcony to stand/sit for a bit in the morning and evening. The walls are a little thin so when some of the folks were done partying for the night we could hear them come in at 11pm and then again at 1am. I think they were different people... but maybe not. hahaha! But once they were tucked into their room, we didn't hear them again. I do wish they had USB plugs available on the nightstand or on the little desk/bar instead of a collection of connectors attached to the phone. Oh well. First World Princess Problems. The shower got nice and hot. Love that. The shower washes were refreshing and lightly scented. Towels were soft and plush and big enough to wrap around you and be cozy. There were slippers and robes also for use in the closet. Note... they do their best to be 'green' so the hangers are cardboard. They also offer a pitcher of still AND sparkling water in the room as well as a refill station for both next to the check in counter. They also offer a couple of complimentary snacks - my favorite kettle chips and some cookies. Parking however is not great.... but I believe that is the fate of anyone staying in the Healdsburg Plaza area. H2 has a valet but it's all about timing since space is limited. There were 2 cars parked in the spot and we circled twice hoping they would clear. Alas, they did not... so we parked in a lot around the corner about 1.5 blocks away that was marked 3 Hours Free 9am-6pm. Since it was almost 5pm we were good until 12 noon the next day. I'm not really sure what you would do if you needed to park your car continuously from 9am-6pm. All of the parking I saw (mind you I didn't look too hard) all read the same thing... 3 Hours Free 9am-6pm. I'm sure there was a paid lot somewhere, I just didn't see it nor were we informed during check in. Thankfully, we took the car out on Saturday and Sunday, so we didn't need parking past 12noon either day and came back around 4/5pm each day as well. Housekeeping was quick and efficient and restocked our waters and snacks for us. The restaurant (Spoonbar) looked to be bustling when we walked by in the evenings. We only enjoyed breakfast there. The complimentary continental breakfast is 'ok'. The coffee is HOT and strong so we really liked that. The a la carte breakfast menu has some really nice breakfast options. I went for the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach that was served with a side of bacon. I love mushrooms and they do not skimp on mushrooms! So happy. So good. The eggs were super fluffy too! While there are other options in Healdsburg, overall we were very happy staying here and probably will again. read more

I've been eager to stay at this hotel, given its affiliation with the company that owns the SLO Hotel in San Luis Obispo--a place where I had an excellent experience. Assuming a similar level of quality, I chose this spot for my brief visit to Healdsburg. In general, the property exudes a positive vibe and boasts thoughtful design. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that some corners were cut in terms of finishes, impacting the overall aesthetic. What I liked: Free in room snacks. I don't know about you, but I never raid the in-room bar or snack trays because it's always ridiculously overpriced. Surprisingly, the snacks in the room were complimentary - and they refilled them each day. They offered a bag of cookies, mixed nuts and potato chips from boutique brands. Free EV charging. Yes I do still pay for the electricity I used to charge my car, but there were no surcharges from the hotel for the valet attendant to plug my vehicle in and charge it overnight. Breakfast. Just a standard fare continental breakfast, but good nonetheless. They offered hard boiled eggs, fresh mixed fruit, yogurt and pastries. Pet friendly. More and more hotels are now offering pet friendly accommodations. Kimpton is still my favorite, as they were one of the first and they don't charge any extra for your pets. H2 charges $99 per stay, which compared to some other properties I looked at...believe it or not I've seen some properties charge that much per night. Sparkling water service. Every room included a bottle of water, or a carafe that could be refilled. On every floor, there was an ice and water station where you could refill your bottles. It also included sparkling water as option in addition to flat. Location. This is probably the reason why most people choose this property, it is literally right in town, and everything is a short walk away from all the nearby shops and restaurants. What I Didn't Like: Slow valet service. I had them retrieve my car on two different occasions, the first time it took them a really long time to retrieve my car. Apparently my car wasn't parked where they thought it would be. Room location. While every room included a balcony, my room #310 overlooked the nearby busy roundabout and if I left my doors open to get some fresh air...it was very noisy. So I pretty much kept my doors shut the entire time I was there. read more

Absolutely loved this boutique luxury hotel. We've made many trips to the area over the years and stayed in several spots nearby-some even more pricey than this hotel's $500+ nightly rate but our two nights over memorial day weekend were perfect I liked our king room with large spacious bath (although oddly only one tiny sink and no counter space), hardwood floors and clever furnishings. The bed and pillows were nice and bathroom amenities great. A bunch of snacks and water come free as does valet parking and lite continental breakfast in the lobby. There's a small but beautiful pool out back with lounge chairs and your choice of sun or shade. The location just a block off the square made it easy to leave the car parked and walk to dinner, shopping or wine tastings. The young staff was eager to help and quite friendly. We booked a room for 2 nights in July. Pricey basic " Eco King." The good..... Front desk staff and housekeeping. Lots of ice cold bottled water. Beautiful lobby area. Spoon Bar restaurant was outstanding! Location near the main square. The bad ... Room was very small for the price. Tried 3 different cards to open pool gate without gaining access. Staff showed us how to reach over fence to open door. Located on the busiest street in town with lots of traffic. Valet service not so good. Car came back super dirty. The ugly... Think Ikea decor in the whole room. Nespresso coffee machine in our room undrinkable. King bed so low it was almost on the floor. Just a mattress on top of a wooden frame Room above us was super noisy when people are walking around above and playing guitar. We were up from 11pm-2 am . We had to pack up and request another room the second night. Bath sink area has minimal space to store anything with no countertops anywhere. When taking a shower water splashes all over bathroom floor. Ice machines all out of order causing us to find housekeepers to go to basement for ice. We will be back to Healdsburg but will definitely stay elsewhere. Just our opinion and we travel extensively.... read more

H2hotel in Healdsburg was a happy place for my wife and I for a number of years. We recently tried booking our next visit that would've been are 4th or 5th stay here. We were really excited when we saw an offer on their website that include spa treatments so we booked our stay. We also took the time to book restaurant reservations in town, the spa reservations that came with our stay and arrangements for someone to look after things while we'd be away. We even received confirmation that our booking went through. We were totally happy until my wife received a call from someone at the hotel saying there was a mistake with our reservation (she referred to it as a "glitch") and the amount we booked our stay for wouldn't be honored. No further explanation as to how this happened but this person made it clear, rather rudely in fact, that they wouldn't & couldn't offer that rate. Only after a fare amount of back and fourth, she offered an alternative rate that was significantly higher than what we had book. This was off putting to say the least and we ended up canceling our plans altogether, which included having to cancel all of the other plans we made as well. My wife then went back on to their website to check if the offer we booked was still available. It had been removed but another offer, one better than what this person from the hotel offered was listed. Why didn't this person offer that package? This whole situation was unnecessary and upset us both. They should've honored the offer they posted and accepted. read more

So disappointing. Nice hotel in a good location but some major issues ruined our stay. First we checked in, which took 20 minutes, and the gave us a room that was occupied! Yes we walked in on people who were already in the room. Embarrassing. Then we had to go back down stairs why they attempted to find us an unoccupied room. I'm not sure why that would be so difficult. 20 minutes later they assigned us another room. The room was nice, clean but it had windows with no blinds! Forget sleeping in. Delightful boutique hotel in a great location. The staff is incredibly friendly, they do free valet parking and the property is eco friendly with lots of water stations throughout. I'd recommend the eco suites with the soaking tubs and terrace. All rooms come with a balcony/patio though so you can take in the outdoors. Plenty of dinning options related to the hotel and it's sister properties (Harmon Guest House & Hotel Healdsburg) on the same block. Updated review 10/13/23 Once again disappointed to hear from manager, Jonathan Uribe (in the form of a public reply to a poor review) when we have been directly reaching out to management and being ignored. I'm so tired of being gaslit about the experience we had at your hotel. As for the VOICEMAIL (not phone call), not once did Jonathan apologize for our experience but rather asked TWICE for entry into our room to search our belongings to ensure they belonged to us. I have never been accused of theft by a hotel, especially one that lost my things to begin with. I'm also confused as to why the urgent matter of lost luggage is mine to resolve "urgently and efficiently" as I'm a guest of the hotel, not an employee. Also, your general manager did not offer "a bottle", he offered Champagne then brought us $13 pharmacy Prosecco. Alongside that "Champagne", we were given a $50 Spoonbar voucher that excluded TAX. You want guests paying taxes on a gift? Smells broke. And that complimentary dinner that was offered to us was at Spoonbar, which was CLOSED the day he offered it. This restaurant also offers zero vegetarian options, which is why we initially declined before realizing that it was entirely closed. Seems like something a general manager should know. That's not a resolution, but rather a slap in the face. To any guest looking to enjoy a wine country trip, I'd highly recommend avoiding any property managed by Piazza Hospitality Group. This includes H2Hotel, Hotel Healdsburg, Harmon Guest House, Hotel San Luis Obispo, and the (coming soon) Hotel Sebastopol. While our initial complaint was with staff, the true discomfort we felt while staying at this property was from THE MANAGEMENT. I'm also tired of the excuses from upper management blaming the staff and in the same breath, delegating tasks to them that they're clearly ill-prepared/untrained for. A short getaway. I wanted a cozy relaxing getaway and knew we would be spending quite some time in our hotel so my husband booked a nicer upscale hotel for our two night stay. A block from the heart of downtown Healdsburg it was the perfect location. Complementary valet parking, breakfast, nepresso, and snacks. Our room was located on the second floor with a small patio, king bed, and a small table with chairs. Hotel is Japanese inspired and the bathroom was spacious and nice. Umbrella provided as it was raining during our stay. Robes and also mini fridge. They have reusable bottles for water which was a nice touch. TV has plenty of channels and you can log into your hulu or netflix account. Loved their complementary breakfast - you can either call for it to be delivered to your room or dine in their dinning area - indoor or outdoor. Plenty of options plus additional - you can choose your drink of choice (coffee, tea, juice, water) fruit, toast , etc. read more

Great hotel with comfortable rooms and suites. The building is pretty new and very comfortable to dine and stay. Breakfast was very nice although the buffet is not a buffet. It's yogurt, granola, and a small fruit bowl. The breakfast outside of that is very good and the service is attentive. Healdsburg is a charming town with nice restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. It's also close to a lot of great wineries in the area. The rooms near the street get some unavoidable light from the street and a tiny bit more noise at night but it's not a nuisance. The rooms have plantation shutters instead of blackout curtains which is why you notice this. The bed is a decently firm bed with a featherbed on top combined with good down pillows and after down pillows. The thermostat is a bit confusing to operate and we heard others having breakfast with the same observation. A different thermostat or a info tab near the thermostat would be helpful. We rented a Tesla on our trip from Hertz and the hotel has a destination charger which is phenomenally helpful. We paid more for Valet for this reason and because parking can be tricky without it. That said, gas in California is expensive and it's nice that I can top off at the hotel without an additional cost. **The negatives are that Verizon service in Healdsburg does not work and you have to use Wi-Fi to do anything - which the hotel has. Calls do not go through and this is an issue if you have an emergency. This has been an issue since our last visit and it's truly a hazard and seems like the local government is the issue. It makes me not want to visit Healdsburg as it makes navigation, work calls, being able to work - a pain. I hope the hotel lobby will push this up the poll as an issue.** read more

After seeing glowing reviews of the hotel, I was delighted that the hotel was also pet friendly. I booked one night and had a generally enjoyable time during my stay. The issue is that no one mentioned that there was going to be an extra $100 for my very small and neat dog. This was neither mentioned when I booked the room, nor when I checked in. I assumed this amenity was included in the not so low cost of the hotel. Of course, I would have understood if my dog caused any damage to the hotel, which she absolutely did not. Needless to say, I feel quite ambushed seeing that I spent nearly $400 for what was suppose to be one night of R&R. read more

This is such a great hotel to stay at if you're going Healdsburg. It's right in downtown so you can walk to countless wine tasting rooms, antique stores, and get dinner. There's also a nice little park nearby if you're traveling with a dog. I chose this location because it's walked distance to Single Thread so if you have a reservation there, stay here! We walked everywhere to explore the town and drove to wineries nearby. Checking in I got a text when my room was ready so we made our way to the hotel. Valet is in front and there was someone there to help us right away. If you bring an EV, they have charging stations! Everyone we interacted with was very professional and friendly. My reservation came with a $25 voucher to the restaurant. Be sure to check their website for any deals going on. We did a night of cocktails and appetizers at Spoonbar and can highly recommend it. It's very popular on weekends so make sure to call ahead. The hotel itself is green and you can see it in the design and in the details like using reusable containers for soap and in room water. I love it! The room The king suite is huge with a big comfy bed, free snacks, glass carafes you can fill with still and sparkling water, big TV and internet. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom- there's a huge wet room with a Japanese soaking tub. It's the perfect size for two people and fits tall people as well. I, of course, l looked up my options on Yelp and saw there was not much in Healdsberg besides the usual line-up of Hilton Gardens, Hampton Inn and "boutiques" that looked a little too twee for a guy coming in from a 500 mile day on his bike... and this place. I booked a room based on the reviews and a few pix and was not disappointed. Modern but lots of wood, super nice people, slick restaurant and bar attached, perfect walking distance from the rest of the town sights. I would actually come visit Healdburg again partially because I have such a great place to stay. Loved... ... free snacks in the rooms. Like, lots of snacks. ... turn down service with the cute little chocolates ... it's not a big place. Maybe I got lucky but my room was both near the elevator and very quite. ... many hotels have USB ports but this place had ALL of the actual wired connectors for iphones, android, etc. so you didn't need to forget another charging cable in a hotel room. ... did I mention the free chips and nuts and cookies? Thought I would update my review of the management of h2. After posting my review of the damage done to my car whilst in their care, the Manager/Owner not sure what he is (Jared L) responded and seemed extremely concerned. He had staff "look into it" he was so so concerned. Reading the response I immediately thought this is "Lip service" not even at its finest. I didn't even give this person the benefit of the doubt but thought I would give them my contact details just to prove myself right. I state clearly its not about me being right but this person can respond with some BS so you folks can see that he is being proactive, yet he cant contact me to say "Sorry this happened, drop in sometime for a glass of wine etc" Well, cant wait to read the next response. read more

Weird architecture. Maybe I'm sounding like an old fuddy duddy, but I just don't get modern art. It's like they went out of their way to make the layouts and finishes weird and awkward to try and win a prize for how modern their modern architecture was. That being said, however, the service was great. From the valet parking cars to room service. The room was comfortable and we slept well. Obviously, you're paying for the location, and you've got it. Would I stay here again? If it was free or included in some kind of package, but no if I had to pay. It's just far too expensive when I can stay 1/2 mile away for less than half the cost and take an Uber to eat instead of walking. It's nice, but not THAT much nicer. read more

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Every staff person was wonderful from the valets, to the front desk, to the breakfast wait staff (BTW... We had a special rate that included breakfast and had our pick of a pretty large menu and the food was great!). Honestly, I can't think of any complaints at all. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for another travel zoo offer. The mattress was comfortable, linens were luxurious, great aromatic toiletries, and nice furnishings. Wanted an upscale intimate hotel for our first getaway during COVID and this place hit the mark on all counts! A beautiful quiet second floor room with a nice patio immediately provoked us to add another day to our stay. The staff was sincerely warm and welcoming and excited to see business picking up. Dinner last night was awesome and they were very attentive to social distancing and other efforts to keep everyone safe. In room goodies, including a Nespresso to make your perfect coffee made our stay extra special. Not cheap, but well worth it! read more

We had an overall pretty stellar stay in one of their eco-suites. The hotel is well-run, extremely clean and in a very ideal location right off the main square of Healdsburg. The Japanese style soak bathtub is divine heaven on a cold winter night or a hot day. We appreciated their filtered still/sparkling waters on tap to take back to the hotel room and overall low-fuss, minimalist room design. The continental breakfast had small, delicious local pastries and high-quality Clover brand yogurts. We fawned over the Nespresso machine in our rooms and had several cups of coffee in bed every morning and night. Absolutely love the 12pm checkout time too and they are dog-friendly! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the bed needed more padding (my body could really feel the flat firmness of a cheap mattress) and the lack of sound proofing with high vaulted ceilings between floors means atrociously bad acoustics if you encounter other rude guests. Our neighbor above us stomped around like a giant for two hours pacing drunk until midnight and we had to not only call the front desk, but go knock on their door and shout talk at them through the door to knock it off. They offered us a complimentary breakfast which was very kind of them; definitely wasn't their fault and we appreciated the support. Plus overall the hotel was very quiet the first night so we have a feeling it's not a common issue. Calling it a eco-hotel though beyond its LEED building status is pushing it...there's nothing eco-friendly about a Japanese style soak tub in the middle of a drought, Nespresso pods are notoriously wasteful even with being recycled at their stores and the staff replaced all our towels after the first night's stay despite the fact that we had them all hanging up. If you're looking for a good-conscious stay, this might not meet that criteria but you'll love every minute nonetheless! read more

9 years ago my wife and I stayed at H2 on our honeymoon and we have been talking about it ever since. You know how it's goes...that hotel was awesome, we had such a great visit. Wow that was 6, 7, 8, 9 years ago. Time flies when you're married to the love of your life. We had taken advantage of a great offer during the pandemic and due to travel restrictions, etc had to reschedule two times. The reservations team was very flexible and on the last call we agreed to a rate that was fair to the business and our original purchase. Upon arrival we checked in and in casual conversation with Jarret, the manager, I mentioned our original visit and he offered to treat us to breakfast the next day. A nice gesture that was appreciated. The room was similar to our recollection but the bathrooms had been remodeled nicely (no more giant tubs). For the most part everyone we spoke to was super friendly and had good energy. Whenever we walked out to explore the town someone from the front desk would say, "Have a good day, enjoy your time out there, etc." I'm not a review person. Even though in my profession I read them daily. I read through some of the low star reviews and it just blows me away what some people get upset about. (Especially those pandemic reviews.) The bottom line is people make mistakes. Although during our visit we didn't see many. In my experience guests get upset when they feel the team doesn't care. I saw none of that on our visit. Come visit Healdsburg. Stay at H2. Ask for Jarrett. Tell him I sent you. But don't ask for a free breakfast because that just ain't cool. Thanks to the H2 team for all their hard work. We stayed March 3-6. We cannot thank manager Champagne enough for the outstanding service and hospitality!!! We had an issue when we first checked in and she stepped in and made everything right! The sign of a great company is not that it avoids any mistakes (that's impossible)...it's how they handle it when there is a mistake. Champagne handled it like a star and made our stay such a memorable experience!Thanks again Champagne!!! We would add that Healdsburg is such a beautiful town and this has to be one of the best locations in the city to stay. read more

I stayed here for a wedding at Barndiva across the way. No joke, I could see Barndiva from our room. It was just through a parking lot and was super easy to get to. Not only is it close to the venue I was attending, it is located right in the square. Walking distance to everything. I turned my car into valet the first day and did not ask for it until the end of my stay. We had an amazing stay. The room was crisp, clean and stylish. I absolutely loved how the space was maximized in the bathroom. The beds were HANDS DOWN THE BEST BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN. I still fantasize about those beds. I have been meaning to call and ask all about them because I would really like to recreate them in my home. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal. I really enjoyed the cooked meals you can order as well as the yogurt and granola with spiced apple. The staff there was so accommodating and nice to us. They really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. I would definitely love to come back here- I have recommended it to everyone I have spoken to about that weekend. It is WELL worth the splurge! My only regrets is not having time to try the pool and not being able to stay longer. This place was truly a little slice of heaven on earth and I hope to be back in the near future. read more

So I'm torn on this one... Pros: Location, Town, restaurants, pools, decor, room, parking, water station ice, complimentary treats... so it almost had everything. Balcony, view, and upon walking in we were not disappointed. At first glance 4 stars. Cons: we were super hungry and took off right after check in to pursue some healdsburg square eats. We found or destination and returned later in the evening. Upon realizing the pillows were down we thought we might be able to get through it, but we both suffer greatly and were dawning a full face drain. We both suffered until morning. I called the front desk and she was polite, but seemed confused,wasn't sure if she could help me, but offered to call me back. 5 min later or so the phone rings and she says she has some bad news, and this is where I'm confused.. she says , "unfortunately there isn't anything like that available on the property, as they are an all down property pillows to linen, they just simply do not carry that option for their customers..."? Well I definitely have a hard time believing that, with all the hoity toity customers, dogs, vegan, gluten free, .... ect... I have a hard time believing they dont provide that option. Hell they offer both sparkling and filtered water at the refill station. A simple "hey it was a busy weekend, and housekeeping is out now, I dont know what else I can do" vs " we dont offer that option" or basically if you have an allergy, dont come here... regardless I tore off to Windsor at midnight so I could get some benadryl to get some sleep. We had to be in rosa by 8am. We opted for starbucks rather than free breakfast... Sorry guys but if I can't have an option for down free I cannot reccomend this facility for anyone who has similar needs. read more

The hotel is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and park in downtown Healdsburg. With complimentary valet parking, water (both still and sparkling) and breakfast with individual menus and a table full of baked goods, yogurt and mimosas, a pool, elevators and a modern look, this is especially great for traveling with pet animals. The only reason it's not a five star is because the level of service and knowledge of the hotel and its facilities seem to vary quite a bit depending on the staff. Some like Melissa were extremely helpful and provided great service during our breakfast experience. Others were sometimes found sitting by the bar on their cell phones rather than at the front desk when we stopped by later in the evening. There have also been times when no one pick sup when you call the front desk. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were very friendly and did a great job. read more

We loved everything about this hotel: The very modern rooms, the stylish lobby, the wonderful indoor/outdoor bar, the pool, the complimentary breakfast, the free room snacks, and the location. The service is spectacular. Everyone--from the valet folks to the breakfast and cleaning staff to the bartender--was friendly, attentive and helpful. We cannot wait to go back!
