Beautiful property as my photos show. Unfortunately it's poorly looked after. The most striking thing was the dirty dishes and plates that seem to sit around all day. The most amazing example is that we had breakfast around 9 am last Saturday June 27 in the outdoor area with folding fabric "roof". We finished our breakfast and left for the day. When we returned to the hotel at 4 pm, our dishes with bits of food and used coffee cups were still sitting on the table as we had left them 7 hours earlier! At $900/nt, you might have thought the hotel staff could circulate and clear tables. But you would be wrong. Unfortunately it was common throughout the hotel to see dirty used glasses and plates lying around. After checking out, I received a survey request from the hotel "Manager" asking for feedback. I mentioned the plethora of dirty plates/glasses during our 3 night stay but no one has ever responded. Also, the staff in the spa were having extended conversations on their phone's loudspeaker which was a bit jarring. It's a pretty hotel but it needs to figure out the basics of keeping it clean and sanitary. read more

Love that it is so close to the healdsburg plaza and SOOOOO walkable. The rooms are amazing. They are spacious, comfortable bed, huge bathtub and shower and easy access. Enjoyed the spirit bar and once I found the pool I was impressed by it too. I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Healdsburg! read more

Hotel Healdsburg was a quaint little hotel in the idyllic little town of Healdsburg. The hotel itself was nice and well upkept. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were amenities including a gym, pool, and spa. We didn't get to try the restaurant. While the hotel was nice, the price does leave something to be desired. The hotel charges premium prices comparable to what you'd pay for many upscale hotels but did not quite hit the mark. Again, it was a nice hotel but not nearly at the level of premium level hotels like Ritz or Park Hyatt. We really enjoyed our stay here but I'm not sure I'd stay again at the current price point. I got a gift card from a friend and decided to use it finally after so many years. I ac try ally got lost trying to find this place. The GPS took me to the back side of the hotel. I parked on the street in a 3 hours parking spot. My appointment was at 9 am and I was the first one at the spa. The place was very clean and smaller than I expected. The robes they provided were nice and soft and the slippers were pretty standard issued. I reserved the strawberry rhubarb massage. My massage therapist also provided aroma therapy in the smell of grapefruit and tangerine! The oil used smelled so good I wanted to eat it! I had a 50 min massage and I would come back to this spa. It is 1.5 hours away from home, but not too far! I did not enjoy the rest of the amenities such as the pool and jacuzzi. I highly recommend you check this spa out if you are in the city of Healdsburg! read more

Upon arrival, the valet was prompt and helpful. We made our way to the front desk and were greeted by friendly hosts. Unfortunately I was unable to get the upgrade my credit card promoted. We ended up in room 225. The room itself smelled really nice, like essential oils but it was freezing! Our view was of a building and the local park that houses what appeared to be the local drunks and homeless. One guy had a barking dog that he let, bark, bark and bark. The room was relatively quiet during the night but in the morning it was very noisy with slamming doors and people talking. We are big coffee people and noticed we had only 1 caffeinated pod for the machine. We asked house keeping for more and she rudely said she could only give us 1 or 2 pods. Well, alrighty then. I declined and dealt with the lack of pods, elsewhere. I guess my biggest issue was her rude attitude. Sheesh like she was buying the pods for us. There was a lack of toilet paper, facial tissues, wash cloths and hand towels. Made me wonder if the hotel was struggling financially and have to cut back on simple amenities that makes a difference to travelers like us. The location is great and very walkable. There are plant to little spaces spewed throughout to sit and enjoy. The pool looked nice. The bartender, Javier, was a gem and the music in the lobby was very good. We had the olives and nuts. We did not enjoy either yet we were charged $22 plus tip for those. The French fries were good. Make sure to ask for crispy if you don't like flimsy fries. We did not use our breakfast voucher which was a weird setup. They make you ask for the full menu and then order. Cutoff is 10am, which is early. Maybe tomorrow. We still have one more night here so will update more tomorrow. read more

I see why this place doesn't have great reviews. I booked a couples massage here about 3 weeks out from me visiting from Texas. They emailed the morning of to let me know one of their providers called out sick, and they didn't have the correct number on file to contact me. There are several things wrong with this. 1) How are you unable to find someone to cover a callout at 8 am for a 1 pm appointment? 2) How did you not properly retrieve my phone number when I booked the appointment over the phone? 3) How unprofessional not to have any options for me other than to have one of us at 1 pm and the other at 3 pm. For a couples massage, how would that work? 4) I expressed we had come from out of town, and still nothing you could do. 5) Before completing the call with me, you still didn't try getting my correct phone number. I didn't get a chance to visit your facility but if this is how the manager Karen, handles potential new business/clients, I can see that my number isn't needed. When visiting wine country and more importantly the Healdsburg area, I Do Not recommend visiting this Spa. read more

We had a good experience staying 3 nights leading up to New Year's at Hotel Healdsburg. Pros: 1) Good front desk and valet service. The hard working guys at the valet were spectacular. 2) Rooms were spacious. The bathroom was way too big...this is a first for me commenting on a bathroom being too big. I'll take this anytime. 3) you can't beat the great location right on the plaza square. Cons: 1) Breakfast service. We purchased the breakfast with our room reservation. I wouldn't do this again. While it was convenient, the quality of the service and the time it took to prepare our simple breakfasts, doesn't make sense for future stays. 2) value. While it was a nice hotel with good service, I'm not sure of the $500-$700/night room cost. If money is no object, than Hotel Healdsburg is a good choice. For those looking for better value, consider Hotel Trio 10-12 blocks away. read more

I had the chance to stay here for two nights. They have a bar in the lobby that serves some of the food from dry Creek kitchen next-door. Jason, the bartender is wonderful. All of the staff I encountered was great. I wish the room had more trash cans than the tiny one in the bathroom. I do like that they give you free cookies and chips in your room. They also have a wine bottle opener and wine glasses in case you buy wine in town. The location can't be beat. The breakfast downstairs is amazing, the breakfast potatoes some of the best I've ever had. The croissants are served warm. I also enjoyed the spa. My family have stayed here now 4 times after Christmas for a little getaway and it's been amazing every time! The staff are so wonderful, the hotel is gorgeous, the food and drinks are top notch, and the location is right in the square. We love to walk around town with the kids. The staff is great. The location is great. The room was clean. But for the price I would expect the amenities to be much better. The fitness room is small and the equipment is inadequate. Very similar to a chain motel fitness room. The parking is a problem. The valets are great but overwhelmed on the weekends. To park yourself you will be walking a couple blocks to and from your spot in a public lot. The bathroom shower has no door. It looks cool but is impractical. Water goes everywhere and you are always cold in there. The lobby is misleading in pictures. Looks grand but is very meh. The continental breakfast was subpar. American hotels always drop the ball with breakfast and this one was blah. read more

My family experienced a serious medical emergency last week when my husband required emergency appendix surgery. While the hotel previously allowed me to postpone my reservation from July to December 31, 2025, due to a separate family emergency, they have now drawn a cold, hard line. I requested a minor extension into the first two weeks of January 2026 to accommodate his current recovery--a request backed by official medical documentation. Their response was a flat refusal. When I tried to escalate, I was shut down with the quote: 'It does not matter as your credit can not be extended for any circumstance.' For a high-cost hotel, this level of zero-compassion and refusal to grant a two-week grace period for a verifiable emergency is appalling. As Bay Area residents who frequently travel and work in major tech firms, we were shocked by this display of greed over humanity. Do not book here; their customer service is nonexistent when you truly need it, and the hotel is simply not worth the premium price." read more

First time staying in Healdsburg. It's a cute town with lots of wineries, galleries and restaurants. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of downtown (there's a garden square which is the center of this area). It's in walking distance of everything. The room is nice, decent size and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are interested in wine tasting, definitely take advantage of the complimentary wine tasting they offer between 3-5pm. They also have several complimentary / discounted wine tasting offerings as well. Williams Wine, which is directly across the street has a complimentary wine and food pairing ($50 savings) for two. Make reservations in advance (12, 2 or 4p seatings), you won't be disappointed. Take a look at all the various options. The gym is also clean with a variety of equipment (it may only be 1 or 2 bikes, treadmills), but it works. read more

I stayed at Hotel Healdsburg two weeks ago with my mother and young son. We had a lovely time during our stay -- the staff were kind, the rooms comfortable, and the service lived up to expectations. (Only complaint while there was that I requested a quiet room and we were street facing. It was SO LOUD from 5am but luckily I had a white noise machine.) Unfortunately, shortly after returning home, both my mother and I (in our separate homes) began experiencing clusters of bites. A canine inspection confirmed bedbugs, traced directly to the suitcase I used for our trip. Neither home had a prior history of bedbugs, and no other recent travel could account for this. Treatment for both homes has totaled over $5,000, in addition to missed work and childcare disruptions. I reached out to the hotel directly with documentation and gave them ample opportunity to resolve this as a goodwill gesture. While their replies were courteous, they denied any responsibility, citing no other reports from the room. I understand bedbugs can happen anywhere, even in excellent hotels, and I approached the hotel in good faith. What's most disappointing is not the initial problem, but the lack of meaningful support afterward. For a stay that cost over $1,800, I expected the hotel to take stronger ownership of guest wellbeing. Be aware that while the hotel offers a beautiful experience, they may take zero accountability for anything that might happen. read more

Cute boutique hotel in the heart of Healdsburg. Lots of cute shops, coffee & bakeries and tons of tasting lounges right outside your door. They offer complimentary valet, but there is a self park lot behind. We stayed in a Sonoma King room. The room itself was clean and standard size, but I have to say ... the bed and pillows are top notch and so comfortable!!! There is a small balcony you can step out on, but it's very small like a Juliet balcony. Hotel staff was very nice, especially Maria, the concierge! She was wonderful! I had paid for tastings at MacRostie and she called them and got it refunded because hotel guests can get complimentary tastings (booked thru concierge). She also got us last minute dinner reservations at Dry Creek restaurant. Only negative was the breakfast and happy hour felt understaffed, but overall a great stay. read more

A nice stay but not a perfect stay. We went here for a girls trip. For basically 1k a night I expected a little more, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, appointed rooms, lovely pool and dining area. Huge bathroom with giant tub, spacious rooms--felt clean. Location is right in the middle of town, perfect location to walk around the square. Valet parking only. We ordered food poolside, its from their hotel restaurant Pizzando. The burrata and the truffle fries were amazing! Complimentary breakfast was just fine. I think they can do better given the price point. We didn't go in the pool but sat poolside. There's canned water available. The hot tub was in a wierd isolated area with little lighting and didn't seem super clean. Would be nice if the poolside staff was more available as they weren't always around and we had to call for assist. read more

We really enjoyed our stay this Past weekend. The room was a great size and bed was comfortable. Also lots of little perks bottled water in the room, nuts and chips that are all complementary, and every night you get a little homemade snack from the hotel. The location of Healdsburg to all of the wineries are also amazing I think the the longest drive was 30 minutes. Granted we did not go all the way into deep Sonoma or all the way to Napa that would've been probably 45 minutes to an hour. Hotel Healdsburg is also located right downtown Healdsburg so there were really cute restaurants all around the Square always had music playing and a great coffee shop right around the corner read more

We left our unbelievable glamping experience at Wild Haven to spend the perfect day at the Spa at Hotel Healdsburg. It was such a warm and friendly environment. Holly gave me a glorious massage in a peaceful room with relaxing music, hot stones, weighted blankets and lovely aromas. My husband was very pleased with his massage from Julia. He said she worked out all the knots. After the massage we spent the remainder of the day out by the pool and enjoying the Jacuzzi. We had wine and lunch poolside ordered directly through the pool attendant who delivered it from Pizzando. We had a yummy pizza Margherita, an excellent calamari and my husband will never forget the fried artichoke and dipping sauce, that he devoured. The ladies locker room was immaculate with all the amenities were provided. And by that, I mean that I could have come there with no toiletries of my own and had everything I needed, not just a bougie robe and slippers and a blow dryer but everything! I did buy some Eminence products from the spa store and they had an amazing collection to choose from. They also had a beautiful selection of swimwear and coverups. Jasmine, at the front desk was very informative, attentive, and professional. A very special shout out to Nina the spa Director, who's attention to every detail made this pampering experience a day to remember. We will be back to Healdsburg next year for glamping and pampering. read more

He implied we were drunk and told us all to go sit down so someone could "bring us some waters". We saw the younger girl he was seeing who was sitting at the bar and assume that was the reason he refused us service. Really phenomenal hotel. Well worth the splurge. Incredible central location with gorgeous grounds. This hotel feels a bit like you're in a modern rustic fairytale. Valet is included which was perfect because parking in downtown Healdsburg can be a pain on the weekends. Valet and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room keys came in a sleeve that had a local map and recommendations for Healdsburg. Our room was amazing. Absolutely perfect. The bed was the comfiest cloud I've ever slept in. I still dream about sleeping in it. Light controls in the headboard above the nightstands were very convenient. The bathroom was beautiful. The toiletries provided were luxurious and refreshing. Loved the bath salts and milk bar for the gigantic tub. The complementary breakfast until 10am is amazing. An assortment of pastries, bagels (and all the fixings), breads, coffee, tea, juices, made to order eggs, pancakes, specialties. A really well-executed breakfast spread with excellent service. My only criticisms: - Thin walls between the rooms was not conducive to the screaming baby across the hall or couple having loud sex in the middle of the night. Also the bars and restaurants taking trash out at 1am was annoying - coffee is meh, although the in room nespresso was nice, the coffee was subpar. This includes the espresso during breakfast. Go for the tea! - despite the super high price tag and getting the second most expensive room option, our view of the next door businesses and their roof was disappointing read more

Won't be coming back after 3 times. 1. The pool is nice but there are never any towels, you have to go ask for them. The "old" towels are always thrown around and never picked up. So the pool area looks derelict. Have someone walk it every hour and pick up. 2. The hot tub is stuck in a corner next to some electrical panel, a door with no handle and surrounded by 3 walls, every time I went there it was full of trash, like cups, cans, old towels, leaves. Take the hot tub and move it to the outdoors please...... 3. The breakfast is not very good, it is just massive amounts of food. If I wanted that, I can go to Costco. They always bundle it with your room to make you eat there and every time you do you regret it. 4. The cleaning crew of the rooms always leaves their carts in the hallways, every time. Clean up and move them them. It just looks bad. 5. There is no Sauna/Steam. 6. We gave them the feedback in person every time but every time we came back it was the same..... For roughly $1000 a night. I don't think it is worth it and won't be giving them another chance. read more

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel has its pluses and minuses. The valet, on-site electric chargers, and proximity to other business are great. The pool staff was great. The Spirit Bar was probably the worst part. We waited about 15 mins for a server. They didn't shown up. We went to ask another server to help with our order. They never came to our table either. At the 40 min mark we just got up and left. Given it's price of about $800/night, it's honestly not worth the stay compared to other hotels in the area. read more

**Happy Hour on Saturday Review** Sis and friends and I went here on 10.05.19 for a much-needed nightcap. It was already 5ish in the evening and the place was happening. There was live music and it was packed... though it did feel like our group stood out... mainly because we were Filipinos and not properly dressed like the rest of the clientele. That and we were the younger ones in the group... it was odd, especially in Healdsburg. Nevertheless, the services from the staff were friendly and prompt even if they seemed understaffed. The venue was good... the live music I didn't personally like. Their appetizer menu was decent... was a fan of the olives... Comfort, relaxation, and impeccable service. The Hotel Healdsburg knows the definition of quality and service. However, in part due to Sonoma County's hotel tax, which in my mind is extravagant, and the pricey overnight fees, we are no longer able to visit the Hotel Healdsburg. But, if money is not an option, and you want impeccable service with a great breakfast served in the morning, the Hotel Healdsburg is for you. They're also dog friendly which was very nice read more

I'll start with the positives. Hotel staff is very friendly and hotel building is unique and attractive. Free breakfast was good and rooms have complimentary snacks and water. That is where it ends. Upon arrival into our room, we were greeted with an extremely small room that was entirely different than the Sonoma King pictured online. The bathroom was large but the lighting is extremely dark and the shower water trickles out. There is a note stating in order to conserve they will not provide fresh towels, yet there is NO WHERE to hang your used towels. Not even one single hook or towel rod. This left us calling down to the front desk daily for new towels. Speaking of housekeeping, rooms are not made up until 4pm. This was challenging if you plan to freshen up or change before heading to happy hour then dinner. When the room was made up, trash cans weren't emptied and we were left with empty tissue boxes and hardly any toilet paper let alone a replenishment of toiletries (and certainly no new towels). Basically they came in and made the bed. Rooms are quite bland, TVs are small and there is very little closet space (they leave you 5 hangers). Beds are odd. Very low to the ground and essentially swallow you. Pillows are pretty awful. For the cost of this hotel, I'm completely unimpressed. I could have stayed at a Ritz or Four Seasons for this price and have had a far better stay. read more

The reason you stay at a hotel instead renting a house on say, Airbnb, is for the amenities you get. Pool, sauna, room service etc. Hotel Healdsburg has amenities but they are all garbage. Rusted vents and doors, bird poop covered pool areas and whirlpool full of leaves, bugs and dirt. Now the staff was super nice so I gave two stars however that is NOT an endorsement of this place. I was there for one night with my daughter on 12/21. I booked this months ago and reserved a double queen bedroom. When we entered the room I noticed it seemed to be an ADA room. No standard shower, no tub, small sink and counter and configured to accommodate someone with a disability. It did not work well for us . When we checked in we were not told this was an ADA room. But after inquiring I was rudely told by the front desk person that it was the only double queen. Had a been told I might have selected a king as an alternative. When I checked out the same rude person was at the front desk and did no even present the bill to me but just verified my credit card on file. She said the receipt would be emailed and it was not. I use to stay at this hotel 4-5 times per year for 10 years because I had business in the area. The staff has really gone downhill. To add to this we had the do not disturb sign on the door and housecleaning walked into the room at 9:00am while my daughter was in bed sleeping. For $800-$1000 per night I don't think I will be coming back. read more

Fabulous Hotel in Downtown Healdsburg - you cannot get a better location if you are looking to walk anywhere (or bike with the hotel's cruisers). Wineries galore close by and fabulous restaurants. The rooms are spacious and modern and come with nice complimentary touches that I haven't had in other hotels. The bed and breakfast like breakfast was outstanding for being complimentary - made to order eggs, etc. The service was excellent the whole stay. Outside of the beds being a little less comfortable than I would expect, this was an A stay. Look forward to staying again one day! read more

Really surprised to see the 3.5 star rating for Hotel Healdsburg because over this past weekend I had nothing but a 5 star experience. During my entire stay I was greeted with friendly smiles and lovely staff members all throughout the property. The room was really spacious, had excellent linens and there were some free snacks and beverages which I thought was a nice touch. I mean, when you're spending enough to stay at nice hotels (like this one), wouldn't you think all hotels could hook you up with some free nuts and sparkling water?! Props to that minor detail. My other favorite part was the free breakfast which was included in the room rate. I had a lovely omelette, some bacon and delicious pieces of toast. Oh yeah, they have complimentary coffee too! This property gets it. If you're going to spend $500/night somewhere, it's the little details that make the difference. In my case it was the free nuts, coffee that put it over the edge.
