Cabins are as clean as it gets, sure you'll find webs and bugs as you should in such environment. Cabins are equipped with the standard amenities. Kitchen is ready to use provided with the necessities. Bedrooms are comfortable and sizable. Perfect for families and friends! Cable and WiFi provided for you ppl who can't be without your phone! Everyone in town knows this resort is the best place to fish! Tons of docks and areas where you don't feel like you'll cross anyone's lines. Paddle boats swimming and rock skipping kept us busy among other things. The views are breathtaking and the vibe is super chill! We were able to play our music and BBQ with no issues. The owners stay on the property and are extremely attentive. They even cook a Sunday breakfast faithfully to show their appreciation to their guests. This place is so much fun. The staff are so nice and accommodating. The manager Ken is the nicest man. We don't feel like guests when we are there, they make us feel like family. We come every year the first weekend in October because they host a Catfish tournament. $25 entry fee and on Sunday they make a delicious breakfast at 9am for all the guests, eggs to order, blueberry, chocolate chip, or original pancakes, waffles, French toast, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns!!!!! So delicious. They have a mini store with most of the stuff you would need in a pinch, beer, ice cream, bait and tackle. They rent fishing poles and have a fishing boat to rent also We love this place and hope it never changes read more

In love with this place!!! My children and I decided to visit my husband as he is staying here for working purposes. This place caught us by surprise, is such a cute little resort tucked away on the side of the road! I would have never imagined how much fun we would have here. The weather is beautiful for being November , we don't normally fish however I decided to bring the kiddos (11year old and 13 year old ) out here to have some good old fun away from the city noise. We definitely enjoyed fishing , ended up fishing day and night! They loved it. Fishing in the dock was awesome plenty of space and even a sink to clean the fish (major plus). We must of caught over 30 crappie fishes! Ken the owner seems like a very nice man, He makes everyone who is staying in the resort breakfast on Sunday's. One of the best blueberry pancakes we have ever tried along with hash browns, ham, eggs , and French toast , and coffee absolutely amazing breakfast! We stayed at cabin #5 and yes it is outdated however that didn't ruin my stay I can live with it, it has a full mini kitchen with full size fridge and plenty of good cooking pots and pans , TV , heater, and small bathroom with a small separate room which has only one bed and the other two beds located right next to the kitchen and bathroom. Love the fact that is just right next to the lake the sunrise is amazing! read more

Ken and Tony were both great hosts. Nice bunch of guys. The pier was great for night/morning time fishing, nice establishment. The cabin (number 7) we stayed in was a little outdated and had a weird scent. Me and the wife couldn't get a good grip on it. We aired out the room and slept with the windows open. Other than that we had a blast fishing and staying at the resort. read more

First time here and we had an awesome time. The owner was super nice. He let us use his fishing poles. We stayed in cabin 6. Had its own picnic area and was off to the side. Fishing was relaxing and weather was great. Would recommend coming during the week since it can get a little busy on the weekend. Definitely would like to come back. read more

Where do I even start? What an unexpected surprise. This is officially the only place we will stay at on the lake from now on. Ken is one of, if not the best hosts around. He has his own little general store on the property with all the essentials- beer, wine, snacks, toiletries, live bait and fishing gear. We went in twice and spent about 15 minutes each time just chatting with him and looking at all the pictures of trophy fish caught right off the dock there. Each morning we stayed, ken made an awesome breakfast in the outdoor cooking area- toast, eggs, ham, chocolate chip pancakes, french toast.. It was delicious. We heard he does a pretty mean barbecue on Thursdays for everyone, with either a live band or karaoke, we will definitely be back for this. We stayed two nights at cabin 6, its right on the water and has its own private picnic table and charcoal grill. The inside had everything we needed to live comfortably for our stay. The bathroom was pretty small, but clean and had plenty of towels. However, we were told that ken remodeled a couple of cabins- just not the one we stayed in yet. They have kayaks and paddle boats that you can take out on the lake- we took them both out and had a blast. We initially had reserved the pontoon boat but it was in the shop when we arrived. The dock has everything you could possibly need to set up shop and fish all day and night, including a sink and live wells. Needless to say, this is our new home away from home. BASS FISHERMANS IDEAL PLACE TO STAY just stayed 3 nights at indian beach on clear lake. the resort is located at the center point of the lake which makes fishing the north or south end accessible without draining the fuel tank. upon arrival, we were greeted by owner ken and cousin tony. they both made sure we were taken care of and all needs were met. there is a launch ramp and a well lit boat dock with electrical plug ins to charge batteries. the rooms were clean and kitchens well stocked with all that is needed for a couple of guys to survive. the best part is having the owner there on site. ken even did a 9am breakfast sunday morning for the guests. also, there are plenty of bbqs under a canopy to cook on. I cant wait to go back next time. read more

My family has been coming here for years. A fisherman's little getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The owners Ken/ Tony treat you feel like family. My son's favorite is the Sunday breakfast that Mr. Ken sets up for his guests. The cabins all have their own nice distinct character. It's not a Napa spa getaway so the cabins are more like country style fishing cabins. All units have a cooling system for when the weather gets a little hot. You can fish off the dock and they have live wells for each cabin and boat slips for those who bring water crafts. Be sure to book early as they book up fast during peak season and long weekends. Cabin 7 is recently updated so if the country style room doesn't appeal to you, this is the closest to being modern. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with how great this place was! I'm not familiar with Clearlake Oaks, it's not the fanciest town... so I was skeptical with having a family getaway there. We arrived early, but clean up crew was very accommodating. When the clean was over, we loaded ourselves inside and it was SO CLEAN. I've been cleaning residential and vacation homes for 10 years in a very wealthy town, so I really know what to look for. This place was spotless and organized. You can tell they put a lot of time into making sure these cabins are comfortable and clean. The only thing I could think of that could use more attention, is underneath the beds, but they weren't horrible. The people there are so friendly. The kids (7, 7, and 4) had a blast fishing and even jumping into the cold lake! We created so many memories, I would 100% book a stay there again. Nothing about this place is fancy, but like previous reviewers have said, it's an amazing place to make memories with your family. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The owner is super nice guy. He makes breakfast for his guest Sunday mornings which is really nice, my son said he enjoyed it. My issue is before booking myself and my sister asked what is the "pet policy" as we have small children and one person being allergic to dogs. We was told they do have a pet policy all guess are required to keep dogs on a leash sound good, provided credit card info and started planning for my party of 11 to drive 3 hours to enjoy some good fishing and family time. Arrived and dogs was walking freely. So as I went in side to get our key I asked again and was told "Yes we do have a pet policy but these are my regular guest and those dogs are nice they will even greet you, they will cause no harm but if you feel bothered let me know and I will enforce my policy. Firstly I do not want to be told your feelings about the dogs, from some reason people do not hear other people concerns instead they want them to hear them and feel how they feel not cool I just drove 3 hours . Made it through the first night but 4 out of my 11 family members decided to go because they did not feel freely to walk about, as new guest arrived Sunday with yet another dog. I spent over $300 to stay and spent lots on fishing supplies and highly irritated when the new dog arrived running back and forth across our portion of the porch. I expressed so much disappointment to my mother she went and ask the owner to enforce his policy which caused tension between us and the neighbors next to us. Disappointed on so many levels I should not have to ask you to enforce your policy... how about if you see new guest on your books just enforce your policy!!! Your guest should NEVER have to voice to you (especially if asking prior to booking) to ask that you enforce your policy. read more

I stayed at this resort a few weeks back. I must say that the owner is amazing!! He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Right when we pulled in he helped my husband launch our boat, which was extremely helpful, being that I have two small children to watch. The launch is free, and the docks are free. We stayed in one of the lake front cabins. Accomodations were clean. Cabin was large. We were with a large group, so we occupied one of the main recreation areas the entire time, with no complaints by him. Sunday morning he cooks breakfast for all guests, which is very helpful/convenient when packing to go home. *******I would like to point out an insanely KIND gesture: at one point my husband and I were going to take out our 3.5 year old son, for his first ever early morning fishing trip. Our boat would not start, dead battery. The owner offered to take his battery out of his boat to put on ours, so that we could enjoy our trip. Not very often you run into genuine kindness like this!! We will definitely be coming back next year for another week. read more

Well, it seems here I am the second one to comment since the virus, So with that I will say this. I have been coming here since the 50's! Ken is,as they say a nice guy but he is getting ripped off by his clean up crew. We arrived 2 hours after check in,lots of time for them. First thing we found out about was no one even opened the refrigerator. It had 8 OLD ears of corn and a large amount of celery. Plus there was some brown stuff splattered all over in it. With what is going on in 2020 this really bothered us. We are not the complaining type but these girls of his need to be checked out maybe after they say to ken... All Done! When leaving, we checked under our beds for anything we may have left and we found that it had been a long time any mop went under there. This was kind of sad as I use to like this place, And at 200 a night,well not a bargain. But the outside is peaceful. We had to also go home a day early and thougfht just possibly with our cleaning problem he just might have given us a teeny brake in money but no luck. It will be a very long time for the next visit if ever. read more

An absolutely charming place, the room was not the most up to date place I've ever stayed, yet the people, the location, and everything else brings the charm on in spades! Stayed in Cabin #9, had its own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and additional areas for sleeping. I can see how this is a fisherman's paradise! And, every morning to go out to the main courtyard area with the picnic tables to get my hot coffee and choose a place to sit and enjoy the morning and enjoy, either at the kitchen table in the unit that looked straight out to the lake, or on the porch outside or the deck, was just priceless. Ken was the most welcoming gentleman, and made sure any requests or issues my friends and I had were taken care of. On Sunday morning we could not believe it, he made us the most amazing breakfast with pancakes, french toast, eggs, ham, it was fabulous! I recommend this place and would stay there again! read more

I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of this resort. Ken and Tony were friendly and answered all my questions. The cabin I stayed in was clean and well kept. It's not the Ritz-Carlton hotel, but it definitely had a country charm and appeal to it. The only thing I found disagreeable was the bathroom light had no light switch. You have to screw in the light bulb for lighting and screw it out to turn off the lighting. The floating fishing docks were big enough accommodate everyone without feeling crowded. I saw a 8 lb largemouth bass caught at the resort so it's definitely possible to catch big fish here. I personally caught crappie and bluegill here so I'm coming back ASAP. read more

Never staying here ever again. The place has spider webs all over the patio. Ants and all sorts of bugs in the room. Even when I was standing there were ants crawling on my shirt. Small rooms and filthy place. If u plan on staying here, bring some raid to spray all the bugs. And bring your own sheets and blankets. It's pretty nasty here. Yuck!! read more

The worst place I have stayed at in a long time NOT even worth the price. The room was next to the road and very noisy. Broken window in the bathroom and the toilet was loose on the floor. The room was very outdated. The resort was very space challenged and in need of a general facelift. Would not go back even if the fishing gets better. read more

Stayed the night here over the Memorial Day week end, was disappointed in this resort. Our room , like many there was right on Hwy 20, the trucks and cars roared by all night, we were exhausted this morning when we left to go home, it would have been nice if when I booked they had told me where this cabin was located , have to say we were also disappointed that there was only a very small beach surrounded by a bunch of docks, not great if you don't have a boat, you could rent a pontoon for $195 for three hours, but would have much rather just taken the pontoon lake tour they talk about on their web site, but was told it wouldn't be running as they would be to busy, I would think that is exactly when you want to offer the tour. In all, we got no sleep, and not a great trip , I would only go back if I was a fisherman, did not feel this place was suited for anything else , really disappointing . I will say our room was clean and the owners were very nice on the phone. read more
