I called Josh to help with a hard drive issue last Sunday after trying a long time to resolve the issue on my own. I was surprised to get a response from him outside of normal hours. We agreed to meet the next day and he was able to resolve my issue the same day! He provided constant communication and quick and prompt service all at a reasonable price. Took good care of my baby [my $2,000 gaming laptop] and saved me the hassle of sending it off to the factory in California for weeks risking damage and theft. Quick turn around, friendly and professional. Good and fair price. If you want something done right, you have to pay the money, sorry people that's how the world works. Highly recommend to fellow gaming pc parents :p read more

Being fairly new to town, I was thrilled to find an honest computer whiz for laptop repairs-- always a challenge, I've found. I contacted Josh because there was apparently a loose wire going from my computer screen to my laptop keyboard and I had to keep jiggling the screen to make the picture 100% clear and keep the mouse from freezing up. I brought it to Josh at World Tech Force, after reading reviews on Yelp. Josh was professional and pleasant; his home (that he works out of) was easy to find-- near NW Highway and Skillman. When I booted up my computer (Murphy's Law) it was working fine and so it was impossible to demonstrate the problem to him. He spent maybe 45 minutes with me, turning it on and off so he could see what I was talking about, to no avail. It was suddenly working perfectly. While I was there, he helped me quickly troubleshoot a few other problems-- so I could tell he really knew what he was doing. He said he'd done this his whole life and mentioned a few impressive clients. He did not charge me for his time and said just to bring it back if and when it acts up again. I really appreciated his honesty, and generosity with his time and will use him again! read more

My Toshiba Satellite computer was running very slow. I took it to Joshua and within 1 day he fixed it and it runs great. He kept me up to date as the process went along. He mentioned that i might need a new hard drive but after backing up my laptop and reinstalling the operating system Windows 10, it runs great. Very fair pricing and great customer service. read more

Simply Josh is amazing. My computer had a hardware problem and would freeze up seconds after start up. Josh found the problem, backed up everything on my computer, updated to the newer version of windows and did this in a day and a half. He also added mobile support so I could reach him from home to solve an issue. He did all this for $170!! Most places will charge you half of that for just the diagnostic check. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest and affordable fix on their laptop. I don't write reviews often but he deserves 6 stars out of five. Thanks Josh!! read more

Thanks Josh for fixing my computer. He met with me the same day I contacted him, and returned my texts promptly. He was quick and thorough, and the price was great. I even thought he was messing with me because when I've had my Mac fixed before it's always been way more. Thanks again! read more

Josh is the man. You don't get this kind of Yelp love without crazy deserving it. He's always honest about pricing, which is always reasonable. There's a reason he's #1. Call him. read more

My external hard drive "burnt out" on me, so Josh suggested I come over so he could look over it. He was very nice (so was his dog, haha). I was happy to know that the data was safe, I just needed a new power source for the hard drive. Josh took care of all that, and after multiple re-scheduling for pick-up (on my part), I finally went over to pick it up and it works again! Thank you, Josh! read more

Josh did diagnostics on our computers damaged from the tornado quickly and efficiently. When we realized they were damaged beyond repair he built us new ones faster, better and less expensively than ordering them retail. Can't recommend him highly enough! read more

I highly recommend World Tech Force if you need your Mac computer repaired. I have had two separate issues which he diagnosed and fixed at a reasonable price. Josh responds very quickly to text and phone calls. read more

Josh runs a class act. The service is friendly and he communicates clearly and deliver s what is promised--none of that talking down to you stuff, or promising that you can pick it up tomorrow and then putting you off for a week. I've had problems, Josh has resolved the issue right then and there. For example, today he swung by the office between jobs just because we had a printing error. Luckily, we were in his path of the other errands that he has to do today. This doesn't always/can happen but if it is possible, Josh will try to make it happen! He has helped our office on the 10th floor over a half a dozen times in the last six months for issues with the server, computer, laptops, scanners, etc. I even heard that he works on school's computers. Each time I've been impressed with the friendly service, the reasonable prices, and the level of integrity Josh bring to the business. I will not be calling another repair store any time soon. Thanks Josh, you are the best! read more

Josh replaced the hard drive on my Mac and it's working great so far. He had given me an estimated time of completion, and due to other work was unable to meet it so he gave me a discount on labor. I appreciated that and the fact that he was flexible about drop off and pick up. He was clear about the issues my computer had and very reasonable regarding pricing, and he offered his help if I needed it down the line. Hopefully, my computer should be good for awhile! read more

Josh has been most helpful whenever I have a problem with my computer. He's honest and has not cost an arm and a leg (which I appreciate). He can jump into my computer and do the work without me having to take everything to him. He also keeps in touch by phone to tell me what's going on. Thanks, Josh. read more

I can't say enough good things about Josh! I run a small bookkeeping business from home and one of my clients has used Josh for years. I'm extremely busy and don't have time to run my computer all over town every time something goes wrong. Josh seems to always make me and my computer issue a priority no matter how big or small. I appreciate that he can connect directly and fix my problem while i remain at my desk. I recently had a virus that completely disabled my computer, I thought for sure I would have to make a new purchase but Josh was able to get me up and running within 24 hours at a very affordable price. I tell everyone about how wonderful his service is. Thanks Josh!!! read more

EDIT: 11/27/15 - Josh has offered a refund on the original charge and is going to take another look at the laptop. Will update after the next round. (original post below) I really didn't want to leave this review as I am all for small/home business, but I just can't not write this. When I was looking for someone to fix my laptop I chose Josh because of all the great reviews. TLDR: he ruined my motherboard and was less than truthful, shoddy work, may have ruined the laptop entirely. I have a couple year old ASUS G73 that has never had any work done to it before. The power jack had started to go out and finally quit working. I found World Tech Force on Yelp and sent Josh an email asking for a quote. The price was good so I dropped off the computer. When I handed it to him, he said the price would probably be a bit higher because this computer was difficult to work on, which I thought was odd since my email listed exactly what I had, but no big deal. It was ready a couple days later. I had it on for several hours that day while plugged in and after a while noticed a hot electronics smell. I figured it may be overheating (which it has never done before) so I turned it off and let it set for a while. Later I unplugged it and continued using it until the battery got low. I plugged it in and immediately noticed the hot electronics smell and now it wouldn't charge. I emailed Josh and told him of my troubles and he said to bring it back over. 13 days later he tells me that a fuse on the motherboard needs to be replaced and that he can't do it so it will probably need a new motherboard. I asked if he would do motherboard replacements, and he said no, it was too much of a pain getting exactly the right one... which again seems odd to me. I'm not super computer savvy, but I know fuses in other applications are meant to be replaced, but again, OK. The prices of new motherboards are almost what the whole laptop is worth. I found a great guide online so if figured I may as well try the replacement myself. This is where I found I was missing 6 screws, the wrong screws used in places (used a short screw at the hinge, never found where the missing long one ended up), and a HOLE BURNED IN MY MOTHERBOARD big enough to stick a pencil through right at the piece he replaced. Also, he hadn't bothered to blow out the dust from the fans when reassembling it either time. Shoddy work and dishonest with the real issue. The laptop will turn on with the new motherboard but I can't get anything to show up on the screen. I charged up the battery with the new motherboard and then put back the old motherboard in in case the new one was bad or I installed something wrong. Absolutely nothing happens now on the old motherboard (which was working aside from not charging when I took it back) so I don't know but am guessing he broke something else the 2nd time around. Now I have to decide if it's worth it to take it to someone else to look at or stop throwing good money after bad. And no refund from Josh either. He may be OK for software issues, but I would highly discourage anyone from using him, especially for hardware issues. read more

Josh was great! It took him only a day to fix my charging problem with my lapbop. He is personable and price is reasonable. And when my cable went bad two days later, I called him and he fixed it for me for free. I don't think it gets better than that! If you have a computer problem, CALL HIM! read more

Josh was wonderful. My cat had peed on a suitcase that was housing my laptop. It was left for a day-marinating. I was beside myself and pretty sure it couldn't be resurrected. He quoted me on the phone at a very competitive price (I had been calling around). He was clear and concise on what he would do, and let me know that if it still didn't work after he had taken it apart and cleaned it... I would not be charged. Very professional, very quick, good pricing, and a very adorable dog- I would refer him to anyone. read more

My 6 year old desktop wouldn't stop crashing, so I searched for someplace other than the "squad" to take it. Josh was quick to respond, quick to get me in, and quick to diagnose the problem. He was professional, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a solution. I will definitely be using WTF for my tech support needs going forward! read more

Fixed my Mac (cleared it out. New os, more ram) and helped my husband get his pc ported to a new pc. Good prices, nice guy, cute dog.

You can't ask for better customer service! After I broke my laptop so that it wouldn't power on, I took it in for an expert opinion. He tried many things in the interest of being thorough before determining that the problem was most likely the motherboard. I'm confident his diagnosis was correct. Since replacing the motherboard would cost more than replacing the computer, he recommended several options. All this service was provide at no charge. read more

My small business HP Laptop revived! Yippee! Most of my files were recovered and a new hard drive installed. Awesome customer service. Excellent email communication, both timely and professional. Josh was amazing and retrieved the data from my damaged hard drive (can you say major, sweat inducing panic) in only a couple of hours and at a very reasonable price. I came to Josh desperate for my Macbook to be fixed as Apple had told me that my hard drive was ruined and needed to be replaced. Josh was very kind, explained everything in great depth, and told me exactly what needed to be done to get my computer working again. He fixed everything within less than a day! Very reasonable person with great pricing. He makes sure everything is the way you want it. Best customer service I've had! read more

Josh was awesome to work with. My laptop was overheating. A couple days after dropping it off he had it ready for me good as new. I'll definitely go back to him if I have other computer problems. Josh was able to fix my MIL mac book that my 3yr old spilled coffee all over. Apple said it was UN-repairable. But to my delight, Josh is a wizard and did it! Josh was extremely professional and communicated well. I needed my laptop screen replaced, which seems like no big deal, but my laptop is a extremely large and I knew it was going to be tough to find the right parts. Since he had to special order them for me, he even offered me the use of a loaner laptop while I waited. He stayed in communication the whole time, letting me know how things were going, and once the parts arrived, he had it fixed within 24 hours. I will definitely use him again if I have more computer issues! read more

One day my PC just up and quit and won't turn on for all the prayer in the world. Brought over it to Josh and he diagnosed it for free, figured out that it was the power supply, and gave me a reasonable quote and installed the new power supply while refreshing the cooling system. Bottom line, PC went from dead to the world to running like new, no issues whatsoever. Josh is hands down the most down-to-earth, helpful repair man out there, 5 stars read more

I googled "MacBook repair in Dallas, TX" and came across World Tech Force. Josh went above and beyond to make sure that my seven year old laptop worked better than I can remember. I had cracked my screen, my battery life was awful, and my hard drive was slow as molasses. Josh managed to get everything fixed in a timely fashion and was extremely professional in all communications. Can't thank Josh enough for his hard work in recovering my images that were irreplaceable for my clients. He was more than fair, easy to work with, and put in countless hours to recover all of my images. While I was quoted by the hour with other companies, he quoted a flat rate and even when it ended up taking a lot longer than he anticipated, he didn't price gouge. So very grateful for all he did!
