The consistent positive reviews say it all. Excellent turn-around time, got right back to my email and he came out on the same Friday evening when I called in the afternoon. And since I didn't have a car and he delivered it back to my home the following Monday. It would have been way more expensive and taken way longer had I gone with the Sony authorized store since it was out of the Sony manufacturer's warranty, and the Sony people would have charged $100 just to tell me what was wrong with it and since I'd gone all the way to Galleria to see them but their techs weren't there in the evening, I would have had to make at least two return trips. It was also a relief that he's authorized to repair Sony laptops so I got reimbursed from my SquareTrade warranty. He explained what he thought the problem was based on my description, took the laptop to work on it, and it was fixed and like it was before. Sales tax is included in repair services in Texas, but he rounded it down so it was only $160 total, and said he'd do it a second time if the laptop had the same problem for free, and he takes credit/debit with his phone, so I feel like a happy customer. I had a bad power jack and broken keyboard on a laptop. I had searched eBay and found the parts, but it would have taken several days to get the parts and then another day or so to replace the parts myself. Based on that, I told Josh to take his time on the repairs. I was surprised when he called me the next day and said the laptop was ready. He was able to find the power jack locally and was able to repair the keyboard without having to replace it. The fee was very reasonable. Outstanding service. I took my laptop to Josh to repair a fan while I was visiting Dallas on vacation. The repair ended up being more complicated than I anticipated, so when I had to leave town Josh continued to work on the laptop. The problem ended up being manufacturer-specific, so Josh shipped it to the manufacture on his own dime. He later followed up with me to see how the repairs were going. Although the laptop ended up going to the manufacturer, I would absolutely call Josh again in the future for computer repair. We set up World Tech a week ago today (7-23-2020) to repair a MAC Lap and a Desk Top computer. Due to a large work load Josh couldn't help us until today. We called this morning at 8:35 a.m. to see what time he was coming on over, no-one called back or acknowledged the call. At 12:00 noon sharp we called again and again there was no answer nor reply. Today at 3:45 p.m. we again called and Josh told us though he had us up on the board, he completely forgot about us and could NOT tell us when he could come over. So, we had to call somebody else, a non MAC person. What with the virus and other problems we really didn't need a no show computer repairman. Sadly, there is no one to intervine or help us with this problem, we are held hostage by the no show repairman. This is another case of poor customer service and complete disregard for the cliente! Josh should either cut down on his work load and-or hire a helper! Be aware! read more

My laptop was performing very slow along with several other problems. The cost to repair them at best buy and other two stores i contacted was rather high. Thankfully, I came to know about this business. I dropped off the laptop in the evening and was ready to be picked up in 24 hours. For a price that is far cheaper than anywhere else, I had my computer repaired. I have used the laptop for a good 6 days now and it is running fast with no problems. I think Josh at World Tech Force is absolutely fantastic and I'm so grateful that I found him through Yelp, because the good reviews were spot-on. I have a 2008 Macbook Pro that suddenly got the "white screen of death" as in, it would just stay in the initial screen without loading. Turns out my hard drive had crashed. I was devastated, because over a year's worth of documents, programs, work, and more importantly, my pictures, were on that computer. Josh was able to go in and transfer over all of my files onto a new hard drive quickly and seamlessly. He has great customer service and when there were a few folders that hadn't ported over correctly, he had no qualms about going back into my old hard drive and re-retrieving everything I needed. He also made sure that he ported over my programs and took extra effort to see that the Adobe programs I previously had, worked on my new hard drive. He only charged me face value for a new hard drive ($85) and then for his time, which I felt was reasonable for all the work he did. He has a great attitude, was so prompt and communicative (sent me updates frequently), and ultimately got me everything back! I'm a very happy customer :) read more

He told me to bring it by, diagnosed the problem on the spot and 2 hours later I was at home with a fixed computer. This is an update to my original review I posted in July of this year. I promise I am not trolling his reviews to make him look bad, I just want to provide an accurate account of my business with Josh. I originally sought out help to fix my computer because I was under the impression that the charger port wasn't working. Josh quoted me about 80 dollars to fix the issue. I ended up paying about 113 dollars for additional repairs and labor cost (repairs that I was not made aware of prior to him fixing the issue). As of about a month ago my computer stopped working again with the exact same issue. I contacted Josh on a Saturday and left a message to see if he could review the work that he did and correctly fix the issue. I did not receive any correspondence from the message I left on his voicemail. I believe his follow up is a bit spotty, because I don't believe that you should fix an issue prior to informing your customer; He was rude when I informed him that I never had an issue with my internet connection (which was the additional repairs stated above) and stated that I could get a second opinion but he knew what he was talking about. I wouldn't utilize he service again because I don't feel as though his customer service component was present when servicing me as a customer nor was there follow up for the on going issue in which I originally sough out his services for. read more

I was traveling through Dallas in business and suffered a disastrous computer crash, with my full system shut down. I called Josh, and he came to my hotel immediately and spent about eight hours slaving over my computer when nothing else and no one else had worked for me. He reinstalled all of my Windows system and programs and returned the computer better than new, at a very fair price, with the best attitude and service approach I have seen in years. I spilled a drink on the table which quickly ran up and into my daughter's mac. Needless to say, the laptop immediately stopped working. The Apple store said they could fix it for $1,300 and said we'd most likely lose all of our data. I found Josh on Yelp and decided to give him a call. After taking a look, he told me the laptop wasn't repairable but he offered to get me a replacement at a local store he works with. He also swapped out the hard drive. Josh was so great!! I had a cracked laptop screen and a battery that had expanded and needed to be replaced. Josh fixed my screen and offered to replace the battery for free!! (I paid for the actual battery part). I hadn't used the computer in a long time and after Josh fixed the screen and I got home I remembered the reason I didn't use it any more was because of how slow it ran!
