Ok. I don't usually give bad reviews but this was one of the worst restaurants I've been in ever. No one greeted us when we walked in never been here before didn't know if we should just sit or what. The whole place had dirty dishes everywhere. They weren't even busy or if understand since I work in a restaurant myself. We had to force the bartender to clean the bar off once we sat down. It took forever for us just to get drinks. I was too uncomfortable with the condition of the place to eat. The person I was with ordered wings but after watching the staff walk past the dirty bar and tables without cleaning anything I couldn't let them eat there. Visited world of beer yesterday with my boyfriend. I would say the truth stand out was not the food nor the beer, but our lovely waitress and Nasir. Brynn attentive and joyful and pleasant. She checked up on us in a timely fashion. Nasir was simply lovely! He helped clear tables, brought out our meals. I have the appetizer chicken taco and the cheese burger. Went to get a burger at a bar for the first time in a long while, and the barkeep past me with it, went down to the end, then came back and asked the people next to me if they ordered it, ignoring me as I waved that it was mine. This place is local to me, so I'm a bit biased, but I don't really have anything bad to say. The building is cool looking, the food is good, and they do music trivia nights every Tuesday! I've been here multiple times and the chicken wings here are probably some of the best around the West Chester area. I came here tonight with my best friend and we had a great girls night out! The happy hour menu is amazing here. We each had a drink and we split 3 of the happy hour starters and it was plenty for our meal! We split the bill and all that, with tax and tip was only $16! It was a steal! I can only speak from my experience. I have read some other reviews but will attempt to call it as I see it. After helping my elderly dad get to a Dr.'s appointment and run some errands for and with him, I stopped by W.O.B. yesterday for a late lunch around 2:00. It was pretty empty at that time and I assume that helped with getting my beer and food quicker. I am definitely a beer dude and was happy to see that they had an IPA on Nitro. Not super common. The Cape May IPA on Nitro was smooth and creamy. A perfect Nitro beer. My second beer was Paulaner Oktoberfest, a beer I have loved every since having it in Munich in 1981. The beer mug was the right glass. That is important to me. I had the Cobb Salad and it was both delicious and uniquely plated. A tower of sorts. Dressing worked really well. The only negative was that the bar was a bit sticky. That kind of grossed me out a bit. A good wipe with a paper towel and cleaner would take care of that in a jiffy. I have wanted to come here for quite some time and both the beer and food provided succor in a time of of challenges with my dad. read more

We passed World of Beer while running some errands in Exton. It looked like they had a nice outdoor dining setup, so we drove into their lot to take a closer look and sure enough they were putting a lot of effort into keeping people safe during COVID-19. We ended up getting an outdoor table with no wait. The hostess said we could sit anywhere with napkins and silverware, which seemed to only be placed on every other table to add extra distance between parties. Staff were all wearing masks, and there were digital menus (via QR code) + a paper draft list available. Luckily the weather was nice enough to be comfortable sitting outside with a jacket, but there were also a good number of heat lamps spread around. My favorite part of WOB were the many beer varieties available on tap in 5-ounce pours. This was perfect for an indecisive person like me who likes to sample a lot of different beers rather than having one or two larger pours. We also tried some food, including: -Nachos with green chile chicken: These were pretty good. Liked the beer cheese and the flavor of the green chile chicken. -Brussels Sprouts: Super crispy because they were (I assume) fried, which was okay by us! -Pretzel with beer cheese: Very soft and fresh tasting. This does not address the food, beer, or service, but rather the appearance. The outside has seen a cluster of unused, ignored, and deteriorating gas tower heaters block a sidewalk on one side for over two years. A ladder has been stored there for the same amount of time. Because of this, patrons either run the gauntlet of this apparent junkyard or walk in the street. There are propane tanks stored in the patio area. If that doesn't set the ambiance, then walking in to see two employees resting with their heads on a high top sure does. Please, show some respect for your customers and yourselves. I'm thinking that this establishment should just stick to beer. I came here tonight with a friend after having high hopes and we were both so disappointed in the food! We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese for an appetizer. The pretzel, while large, was extremely greasy and the beer cheese was SO mild - almost no flavor whatsoever. The mustard that also accompanied the pretzel was overly salty, so neither dipping sauce was really that desirable. I just opted for the flavorless beer cheese (better then a mouthful of salt, right?) Also, I'm not sure if it was the kitchen or server, but they forgot to bring it out first and gave it to us in the middle of our dinner. Not a deal breaker, but it took a good 25 minutes for it to come out. For dinner I got the WOB COB salad. It sounded great on the menu! When I received it, I immediately noticed there was barely any lettuce! My friend also noticed the same issue with her salad. (See photo.) I basically had a bowl with bacon, mozarella, eggs, chicken and a few salad leaves. I actually ended up asking for a side of lettuce for my salad and had to mix it in. Very weird! Also, as I was eating it, I kept picking out chunks of frozen peppers. I'm wondering if it's pre-made in the back. While this place has a cute ambiance and a fun crowd, the food was really lackluster. I think I would come back for a drink with friends, but the food really disappointed me. This is my go-to spot, especially when friends and family come to visit. I usually go on Fridays at around 5:30PM while it's busy. If you sit outside they let you just take a table over, so it eliminates having to wait to be seated. We just sit at a table before it's cleaned off, then one of us goes up by the hostess to let someone know we just sat down. They come over right away and clean the table off. That's one of my favorite features that I don't see at many places. Besides that, the food is amazing, the establishment is put together really well, the location is perfect, the staff is friendly, and the happy hour goes until 6:30PM. They have a wide selection of beer and food. I usually go for the voodoo ranger IPA, but their margarita's are probably one of the best I've ever tasted. As for food, I'm vegan so I just order a beyond burger with sriracha aioli and a few other fixings. They know how to make a beyond burger taste heavenly, love their fries too. My girlfriend swears the spinach and artichoke dip is the best she's ever had. The pricing is extremely fair, especially during happy hour. We had our son's rehearsal dinner there with a group of 30. The service was amazing. The manager Kimberly Adams was very attentive and made it so easy and relaxing. She arranged the room to facilitate the party. Bobby and Ethan served that night and went out of their way to make it a special evening. This was our second time at WOB and our first experience was awesome! We sat outside on a Saturday evening and our server, Darby was incredible! She knew her beers and the service was outstanding. We ordered the pretzel, fish tacos and loads of beer. The pretzel is a must order item. The ambiance was lively, cozy and relaxed. There are a few games outside - giant jenga and corn toss. We sat outside all night on a couch had plenty of room and it wasn't overcrowded - wear bug spray! For our second experience our server outdoors was not friendly at all. We understand if someone has a bad night but she was all around rude (we used to work in the industry). We waited for about 15 minutes after receiving our drinks to put in a food order, we watched her check all her tables multiple times and did not walk over to check on us. We were baffled that she had most of the outdoor section. We saw Darby - our server from last time and moved sections and the night turned out great! They have a great selection of beer that is always changing! We didn't have any of the same beers from the last time we were there. This time they actually put our face on a beer! The prices are fantastic, we just moved here from San Francisco and could not believe how many beers and how much food we got for the $$. On this visit we sampled one of the Cali bowls, and the chipotle chicken sandwich. This is where I lost my good vibe. On the Cali Bowl we asked for the blackened steak, so disappointing to receive tiny little nuggets of meat that you needed a spoon to pick up, not sure why they even asked "how do you want that cooked"? It was so overdone. On the chicken sandwich, the toppings were skimpy. Both of these items could have been so much better. They have their own parking lot which helps in this area of Exton. We've given this place a couple of chances, but we may not be returning. The service is very slow and chaotic. It's unfortunate because the food and beer are decent. They need someone to organize the service in the outside area. Waiters ignore tables with customers waiting. They finally show up and then disappear for long stints of time. I looked around and saw many customers with empty glasses and frustrated looks.
