The server was great and provided recommendations on what tasted great. I had cheese and bacon fries to start which were delicious. The fries were still crispy despite the cheese and bacon on top. I had a quesadilla for my meal which tasted great and was a huge serving (enough for two!). My friend had the chicken Caesar salad which was also very delicious. Tonight was a terrible experience. The first platter came out with the servers thumb in the tuna. The second one came out cold with some kind of blob in the corner unrelated to the actual food... cheese blob? Dirty platter? In both cases the Greek dressing was an oil slick. We both got sweet potato fries on the side ($2 upcharge I think) and those were great. It looks like they run various specials through the week. Believe the one star reviews. There are much better (and more affordable) places to eat in the up and coming Exton Main Street area. I was in the area and decided to dine in here instead of stopping by a fast food place. Well at least I assumed this dine in restaurant was higher quality than fast food but was mistaken. To begin, I wanted to order a burger so I asked the server what kind of beef they used. You would have thought I asked her a complex math question. She said "we just have regular ground beef" and I said okay, is it angus? Sirloin? She said she'd ask the chef. I saw her mentioning my question to other servers on her way to the kitchen and they exchanged looks and laughs toward my table. First red flag, but we decided to continue the order. I ordered a lemonade, cheeseburger, and waffle fries. Others at my table ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and cheesesteak tacos. My food arrived on a dirty plate, as seen in the pictures. The lemonade was definitely cheap minute made lemonade. The waffle fries that I was charged $3 extra for arrived cold and soggy. The place was pretty full so the fact that the fries arrived cold (and other reviews also mention cold fries) is sad and inexcusable. The pickle was absolutely disgusting looking and inedible as you can see from the pictures. The burger was one of those previously frozen burgers you can buy at restaurant depot, which makes sense why the type of beef isn't listed on the menu and severs can't answer questions about it. The cheesesteak egg rolls were clearly old and not freshly fried. The person who ate them also said there was no cheese in them. This place seems allergic to serving fresh made food. As you can see, the egg rolls look like they were fried an hour ago and sitting under a heating light. You can even see a crust over the sauce which lets you know that these were not made fresh to order and were instead sitting around. It's not like we ordered 10 items, we just ordered two entrees and one appetizer... Paying full price for old food? Not cool. The person who ordered the cheesesteak tacos said they were good but the tortilla was soggy. As far as the service goes, the two people seating guests were on their phone the entire time. They did not say "hello" when we arrived or "goodbye" when we left... Additionally, there were about 2 servers who were servicing all the tables while the others sat in a booth at the back talking to each other. There were also drunk people at the bar yelling at the sports playing on TV so it's not a family friendly place. It's also quite small, so prepare to hear the conversations of every guest surrounding you. Overall I paid $55 (yes $55) for the order (a cheeseburger, tacos, and egg rolls) and was unimpressed. We frequent appetites on main several times a year and have never been disappointed, even when they're very busy. Yesterday we stopped over around 4 o'clock. Our waitress immediately had our draft beers on the table. Within five minutes. Our appetizer showed up five minutes later. Brussels sprouts were awesome with lots of bacon if that's your gig. My fresh tuna sandwich was a 10 out of 10 perfect with their fresh chips. My wife's tuna tacos were excellent. The whole experience was very relaxing without any negative drama. My husband had an out of town client that we wanted to take out. It was Monday, so options were limited. Off we went to Appetites. Apparently, if the owner is here, he gives out dog treats :) didn't get to experience that tonight but that's lovely if it's true! This is a story about two work from home people who came down with cabin fever on a Wednesday evening. My boo: I have to get out of the house. Me: Okay, let's go. I had no idea where we were going but when we arrived I was like okay cool let's sit outside. The weather was nice and the tunes were jamming, you couldn't tell me I wasn't on vacation. We ordered two Orchard Punch drinks which we both thought were tasty. We shared shrimp scampi French bread and cheesesteak egg rolls. They both were delicious but man that flatbread was the star. We ordered two more orchard punch drinks just to be sure we were sufficiently hydrated for the evening. We finished with the waffle ice cream sundae which was enough ice cream for 3 people but somehow we managed. Food I ordered a BLT with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was okay, but dry. I had to ask for mayonnaise and the server who brought it was annoyed at my request. The fries were cold. That was just my food. The rest of the plates were not that good either. Bigger issue we were sent to the back of the restaurant sitting next to the supplies at tables that were leveled with napkins stuffed under the legs. Staff had to come and get booster chairs and put them back while we were dining. We actually asked to sit in the front where there were empty tables and were told it was too close to the other tables?!?!?! We were a party of 6, 3 adults & 3 teens. Yes we were a mixed group of black and white. The server assigned to our table was good, he did an quality job. But his service could not fix the poor food and horrible ambiance and treatment. This restaurant is disgusting and the owner should be ashamed of himself. I've contacted the restaurant for WEEKS regarding a refund owed after finding multiple hairs embedded in my burger. The assistant manager was as rude as could be and acted like the refund was coming out of her own paycheck. I could have eaten the Cubano beard by itself, and the sandwich as a whole pretty good! Would definitely get again. All three times, lettuce was inedible, meat was way under cooked (raw) on burgers, and extras we paid for but not included... here's a photo of the lettuce I was given for my burger tonight... would you eat this?
