Delicious. We stopped here as we passed by to get ice cream at a nearby place, and grabbed a dozen for dinner. First thing is that the dough is superb. Flaky, soft, excellent flavor...I mean just fantastic. The next day we ate a few from the fridge and the dough remained just as good. Real impressive work. Empanadas are good, but I guess I'm just not super into empanadas. Their Breakfast burrito on the other hand is outta this world. Easily one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! They also offer tasty, fresh salsa for free on the side of your order. Came in here for the first time, heard they had a good breakfast burrito so I wanted to try it out myself. When I ordered the burrito the nice man told me they they stopped serving it at 12, and I came in 12:23 so I was kind of bummed out. So I settled for a breakfast empanada and to my surprise it was amazing. Freshly made empanada that just melt in my mouth, and to top it off their salsa made it 10x better. Was walking around the neighborhood waiting for my car to be finished getting washed and ran into this place. Decided to try it out and got a spinach and cheese empanada. Was surprised how amazingly fresh it tasted like it was right out of the oven. The spinach and cheese were very flavorful with a nice creamy texture. Friendly service as well and open in Sundays. Great empanadas and food; however the customer service could be better. Not very welcoming, or the friendliest, and I've been here multiple times. At a recent visit, the guy who took our order acted so irritated when my boyfriend corrected his drink order. He insisted my boyfriend ordered something else, though he didn't. Either way, it shouldn't have been a big deal, as the drinks were the same price, but he made such a big deal out of something so simple. Upon returning my tray (as I like to clean up after myself), there wasn't a clear area as to where return trays. I asked the girl behind the counter, and she instructed me to walk down the hall way, behind where the employees work, just to return my tray. I didn't make a big deal out of it there, I just returned my tray where she instructed me to, and I left. Again, very tasty food, but their customer service definitely needs some work. Been eyeing this place for awhile, and finally decided to give it a go. The empanadas were really good. My favorite was the breakfast empanada - it was basically a breakfast burrito in empanada form :-) The beef empanada was good, but the potato empanada was merely okay. The sauce bar was awesome, and my colleagues still talk lustfully about the green chimichurri sauce. Parking is tough, and there isn't much room to sit and eat here, so taking them to go is probably best. Next time, I will DEFINITELY try the banana and nutella empanada! read more

I had the sausage and gravy empanada and the special of the day corned beef one. They were excellent. While there I was told to come back for a breakfast burrito. So I did. Lol. I got 3 on the 4th of July for our drive to the party. It was awesome. They only have them until noon and they weigh a pound and are stuffed full of good things. I'm vegetarian so I liked how many options World Empanadas has for me. Plus it's close to the office. I ordered online for lunch and it was super easy. I received an email that the food would be ready 10 minutes later - even better! When I got there, I initially went to the "Pick Up" line and was told to go to the "Order" line. Not a big deal, but it did take some more time than just being able to grab and go as there were 2 people ahead of me placing orders. Took the food back to the office - it was correct, and hot. The corn empanada was my favorite. Super savory and delicious. I also had the spinach one which was good, but I think I would have liked more cheese. Lastly I had the berry (vegan) empanada. It was full of a berry blended sweetness. Not what I expected as all the berries were mashed together, but it was good. I think I would try something different next time. Loved the ham & cheese & Nutella and banana empanadas .... they get 5 stars. A little pricy. Very good. Crust get 5 stars ... Only one crust for the dulce de leche tasted old. But the crust was wonderful! Everyone has different taste preferences... I didn't particularly care for the potato & beef or potato & chicken ... they were just ..ok. Wasn't a fan of the spinach. The Turkey gravy was ... good ...just a little salty. I posted earlier a different review ... but edited my review. I didn't realize they had a free salsa bar to go with the empanadas ... that's great. I missed it. If I ever go back I will try it next time. I am really impressed that the owner/ manager responded to my original post. They were so gracious and responded in a very warm way towards my review. Definitely a class act! World Empanadas is a local Burbank eatery that serves the most delicious empanadas I have ever tasted. Their "little pockets of deliciousness" are mostly made-to-order and are the perfect "pick-me-up" as a breakfast or lunch meal -- I usually order two -- or a sizable snack. Tried the chicken, beef, and Santa Fe chicken empanadas. They were ok but not great. Yelp has this place in the Argentine food category, but none of what I tried tasted like Argentine style empanadas. I expected at least the beef empanadas to be Argentine style. The shells were a bit too thick as well. To be fair, none of the ones I ate may have been beef. Looking at the identification diagrams on their website, I think they may all have been chicken or Santa Fe chicken based on my recollection of how the corners were folded. read more

Very good empenadas, i do like mine a little crispier and greasier, but these are good, clean, very generously stuffed empanadas. I guess the only thing id say is, that they use the same spice or veggie mixture in some so they kind of taste the same. My favourite is the beef and the egg with spinach.
