I love this place. Great food and service. It's great for lunch, and they put love into their Empanadas!!!!

Excellent everything. Love the beef empanada and mixed berry empanada. Their salad is very fresh mixed greens and a delicious salad dressing. I wish they sold the dressing separately so I could always have it at home. Highly recommend. read more

I'm Argentinian so I know a good empanada when I see one. To be honest, I was skeptical when I went to this restaurant for the first time because I thought there would be no way they could improve upon a classic Argentinian empanada, but boy was I wrong. Their empanadas are so delicious, they have all kinds of different varieties, and our kids love them, too. If you want an excellent empanada, this is the place to go to. Not only is it the best place in Burbank, it's the best empanada place in all of Los Angeles County. read more

Ordered a few empanadas to go - you can order on their website and pick up in their store when ready. The restaurant is located on Magnolia Blvd and you can find street parking out front or close by. I got their breakfast empanada, beef, and santa fe chicken. I was surprised at how large they were and thought it was cool that the name was imprinted on the tops of them. They're the perfect size for sharing. The best and most flavorful one by far was the beef empanada. The rest weren't super memorable. read more

I love empanadas and was pleased that World Empanadas did not disappoint! Due to COVID, it is take out only, however you can also call ahead or order online. We ordered when we got there and there was a bit of a wait, but everything was pretty streamlined, efficient, and no-contact. We ordered a few types - breakfast, ham and cheese, and spinach and cheese. They were delicious, and make sure you get the salsa! The empanadas are the perfect size; two per person was the right amount for me. There's also the option to order some that are made to bake at home - what a great option to have in your fridge! read more

Very delicious food and the service is just great! Definitely recommend this place. Best empanadas in the town for sure.

The Service: Order at the counter. They do have indoor/outdoor seating. It is very nice to meet with one of the owners, Chris. He personally took my order. When I told him it is my first time here, he took time to explain about their store, the concept and most important he gave me great recommendation of what to try. Excellent customer service!! They also do local delivery & catering. You can even call & order ahead. Save time!! The Food: I ordered 4 different kind of empanadas.... Santa Fe Chicken - Chicke breast simmered with black beans, corn, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes with spicy cayenne seasoning. Potato & Cheese - Freshly diced potato sauteed with herbs and spices, simmered in a green jalapeno sauce with mozzarella cheese. Because of the green jalapeno sauce, just a little bit of heat. I like it~ Mixed Berries - Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries with brown sugar (vegan). I love my dessert a little bit sour. I definitely don't feel guilty when I eat this dessert... super refreshing! Nutella & Banana - Well.... I don't think I need to put description for this yummy dessert, right? Everything with Nutella tastes GOOOOD!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the different dipping sauces that they offer. You can definitely eat it without the sauce because the filling inside the empanadas are very flavorful already. The Parking: Small private lot next to the store and street parking (free). read more

Love this place!! They offer so many unique and delicious empanadas. My partner and I enjoy the four vegan ones every time we go there. You'd never know they were vegan. So everyone can enjoy some empanadas no matter their dietary preferences. Well, expect for those with gluten intolerance. I don't think they offer any gluten free ones. Be sure to ask for sauce/salsa though as that really brings things up a notch. We like to get a dozen for the two of us for dinner and next day lunch. They aren't cheap but they are worth it. Highly recommend. read more

This is one of the most unique places in La La Land ever. So you roll in and there's these little things called Empanadas. Dough love cakes that have goodness inside of them. To the tune of a dozen different flavors. Sweet, savory and a few notes in between. They also have a huge breakfast burrito that looks like it should be a permanent fixture in a pubic storage unit. They are really the only one that does it right. Old school done right. And, they have a rewards program. What's not to like! read more

Not only does this business make the best empanadas we have ever had, but their customer service and ease of ordering and pick up puts them above the bar. I wasn't sure which flavors to order and Carlos was so helpful with suggestions. I decided to just order one of each flavor and we literally loved them all. They even give you a little reference card/ legend which corresponds to little (edible) letter stamps that have been put on each empanada so you know which is which. We also ordered the mixed berry flavor for dessert and served them warmed up with vanilla ice cream. To die for!! Will be visiting them again very soon!! Highly recommend! read more

Parking: tiny parking lot behind the building, you enter on the side street. There's loads of parking around the neighborhood too. I got here and ordered a couple of empanadas, if you want them hot and fresh, it does take about 10 mins for them to heat it up. They have a tiny counter on he left when you enter where the empanadas are ready to go, so make sure you either get those or allocate enough time to pick em up if you are getting it to go! I got the beef, Chile con carne, ham and cheese, Santa Fe chicken, potato with cheese and dulce de leche. My favorite was the potato and cheese, it was very well flavored!! The Chile con carne was my next fav, and the dulce de leche seemed to have too much sweet filling, I had to squeeze some out. Overall I love how fresh these empanadas are! Will come again! read more

Excited to try this place. Got the beef, chicken, and breakfast empanadas. Oddly enough, they all tasted the same. All three were bland and no flavors. Better chicken empanadas from Portos with fraction of the price. Overpriced, tasteless empanadas. Glad I tried it to check it off as places I will not go back to. read more

Came here with my pup around 2pm. I love that it's an order window with a couple of tables to sit at. I shared a table with another diner and it was very wholesome. I got 3 -- Chile con carne, spicy potato (vegetarian), and mushroom and homemade cashew cheese (vegan) The spicy potato was my favorite, but all of them were bursting with flavor. YES, the vegan one too! Although the flavor in the Chile con carne empanada was confusing at first, I did end up liking it in the end and the meat wasn't chewy. It was tender. And before you jump the gun and say, "they're not labeled how do I know which is which??" And proceed to complain to the cashiers, THE ABBREVIATIONS ARE ENGRAVED IN THE CORNER OF THE EMPANADAS. read more

I was disappointed in the Beef Birria Empanada. They didn't pack consume and the empanada was dry and salty. So, I paid extra for the "special" empanada and wasn't happy with it overall. I like the spinach and cheese empanada. This one is consistently good. read more

World Empanadas is a local Burbank eatery that serves the most delicious empanadas I have ever tasted. Their "little pockets of deliciousness" are mostly made-to-order and are the perfect "pick-me-up" as a breakfast or lunch meal -- I usually order two -- or a sizable snack. My all-time favorites are the "spinach and cheese" and the "biscuits and gravy" ones. If you haven't been here, you gotta go and check it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

They changed the recipe and now the empanadas taste fried and nasty. My entire family of six is like "why do these taste like this mom?? They're so gross now." Mainly the chicken ones are different. These things are so expensive that we are all really disappointed. This is the second time they've arrived like this and we will stop buying them if they keep this new recipe. Please change it back! read more

I had the Santa Fe empanada, the chicken empanada and the tortilla soup. The food was good overall yet something was missing. Like it wasn't authentic enough. Also the prices for the food was a bit much. Liked the food but slightly overpriced in my opinion read more

Great little mom n pop's hole in the wall empanadas joint. The owner was really nice and helpful. Lots of vegan options. Affordable and decently big empanadas. The consistency of the dough is incredible and it taste like the real thing... because it is the real thing! The owner said that by the end of December they are going to have 5 MORE VEGAN EMPANADAS! Definitely worth coming out here if you want some vegan empanadas that are made with love. read more

We live about 30 mins from Burbank but we've been here twice in the last two weeks because I can't get enough of them. These empanadas!! So good!!! Definitely order ahead of time (30+ mins) because they are extremely popular and everything's made fresh. * Spinach and Cheese: Easily the best spinach empanada I've ever had. So gooey and delicious! This will be a repeat order for me. * Ilocos Special: This one is incredible. I was sad to share it. On our second visit, I made sure to get us two so I could finish one all on my own. * Creamy Corn: I think I consistently like their creamy empanadas. This one has a nice subtle sweetness. * Chile con Carne: Would also reorder! * Santa Fe Chicken: Just okay for us, not all that spicy. * Spicy Potato: Actually spicy!! I couldn't identify the fried onions but that's okay. I appreciated the mozzarella here. * Beef: Didn't love the olives in this one. read more

Very good Argentinian empanadas. great atmosphere, and friendly service. A must-visit spot for empanadas.

I got 4 empanadas, chicken, beef, santa fe chicken, and cheese and potato. The regular chicken was really good. The potato and cheese was really good as well and I liked the spice. The santa fe was good too but the flavor wasnt really what I'd prefer inside an empanada. The beef I could tell would have been great if instead of blending in the olive they had just put a single whole olive inside the empanada like most traditional empanadas. Olive is incredibly overpowering so the beef ended up just tasting like olive. Overall the empanadas were good but had room for improvement. Staff was nice and the food was fresh. read more

Great spot to go to if you're looking for a quick snack to hold you over. The empanadas are delicious and their are a good variety of flavors to choose from. I would suggest the spinach and cheese from the vegetarian menu or the Chile Con Carne from the meat menu. They come out really quickly and are baked to perfection. Their chimichurri and salsa verde sauces are both great also (skip the red salsa). The staff was friendly as well. A great experience for a quick snack after the hike up to the Hollywood sign. read more

Honestly, obsessed with World Empanadas. Like, anytime I can remind people to take a detour over to this little not so hidden gem all the way out here in the valley, I will scream it from the mountain tops. I have lived down the street for 3 years, and I don't think I can ever move. All of their Empanadas are delicious- but their Vegan ones are stand out. All about that Mushroom and Cashew Cheese life and Dulce De Leche is the BOMB.... But little baked pockets aside- their Tortilla Soup is out of this world!!! Get you some!!!! read more

I really enjoyed this little quaint establishment. The combo is a great deal for only $12 - it comes with 2 empanadas, 1 side, and a drink. Beware though... there are too many delicious options that choosing just 2 may be difficult! Each one I tried was delicious. I got the beef (my fav) and the spinach empanada and my bf got the chicken pot pie (second best for me, his personal fav) and the Chile con carne. The chile con carne is pretty spicy, but the kick hits after the fact. We each got the lentil soup which had a very nice comforting side dish that complimented the empanadas. To finish off, we shared the mixed berry empanada that was to die for! They use fresh berries, and it is delicious and just sweet enough. Phenomenal. The dough they use is airy and kind of flaky, and I don't think they fry these, so you won't suffer with crazy heartburn later. I was HIGHLY impressed. I got the hibiscus drink, and I wish it was a little sweeter. Overall, you will not regret coming here. read more

I have been on the search for empanadas for many years. I was in the area and decided to try this place which was listed as one of the top ten empanada places in LA. I bought the chicken, been and quinoa/lentil. They are premade and baked. There is a huge menu of different stuffings. The quinoa and lentil tasted amazing. I couldn't wait to eat it so I ate it while I drove home. It has aromatic flavorful spices. I put the two in the fridge overnight and reheated in the oven. The chicken tasted amazing. It was flavorful and had a lot of meat inside. They are so delicious. Parking in the front on street. There's seating inside and they offer coffee and beverages too. I will definitely come back to try other flavors. Price point is good because the Ingredients are plentiful inside. They aren't oily or greasy like other places and they taste homemade. There's a cute stamp of their name on the edge of the empanadas. read more

I drive the neighborhood often and this spot caught my attention for awhile. Its along Magnolia nestled between some other really cute shops, lit up beautifully by its signage. It smells delightful once you enter the shop. The decor is very clean and crisp but there is still so much to read and see. I'd almost missed the lady behind the counter hand making the empanadas! It wasn't until after I'd spent nearly 15 minutes gawking over all the options on display.. THEN realizing there was a menu above with full description. Staring at them behind the glass sufficed though. They look amaziiiing. Especially early in the morning when you are starved. I ordered a half dozen. My favorite was the Soy Chorizo and .
