Horrible service, and apparently the flat white only comes in small, which I wasn't told until after I ordered. Doesn't really matter anyway, because it's pretty close to the worst-tasting coffee drink I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and walk down the concourse towards Gate 86 and go to Starbucks. read more

Caveat: This review is based on a single visit, so perhaps I was lucky. I visited the kiosk near the C130 gates. I was really craving a good latte. I didn't know the Worldbean banner before. I was a bit skeptical due to the few bad reviews here and the general bad coffee in airports. But seeing the Synesso machine and the naked portafilter convinced me of trying it anyway -- it takes some skill to use a naked portafilter, and I would see right away if they were doing something wrong. The lady who prepared my latte definately knew what she was doing. I saw her doing a proper tamp, the pull was a little quick but still within an acceptable range, and she didn't burn the milk. She even did a nice rosetta while pouring the microfoam. I'm very picky with my lattes, it was not spectacular, but it was good and well appreciated. read more

The World Bean concept with IPad ordering...is good. The kids working at World Bean are polite, friendly and helping. The execution of the concept is bad. I used the iPad ordering device to order a non-fat mocha, croissant and a side of bacon. Thinking that this technology ordering process was going to make everything more efficient and speed things up was interesting and a bit exciting. My bad for setting the expectation bar too high. After too long a time my bacon came out cold. I sent it back to be heated. A while later my very average croissant came out and I had to ask for my non-fat mocha twice. The mocha was good. As I mentioned earlier, the kids working at World Bean were nice. I gave a star for them and a star for the concept and my mocha. I will most likely give World Bean another shot but I kind of wish that I could get me 18% front end loaded gratuity back. Lesson learned! read more

I had the pleasure of trying the smoothie as well as the horchatta latte. I don't regret either. Prices are fair for an airport cafe. read more

World Bean - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

This coffee tastes like chain store coffee. I would expect a more premium product. My latte was cold and the barista was rude. OTG needs to be more discerning in their choice of coffee providers at their airports. read more

Buyer beware. This coffee shop had the guts to sell me coffee and tell me there was milk around the other side. But there was only skim milk or cream. When I asked the clerk why she lied to me she just walked away. My only option was to throw away the $3.33 coffee. Service rude and slow as well. Clerk has to finish using cell phone before she served me around 735pm October 19, 2015. This is shop near the tables in terminal C around gate 128. read more

This is probably the worst coffee I've had. I would rather do McCafe than this. But it was 7am and the only thing near my gate. Ugh, save yourself and find another place to get coffee! read more

I'm really sorry I had to order from you and make you do your job. I'm also sorry that I had to ask you to repeat yourself, because both the girl that took my order and the one that made it spoke too low to hear, which clearly forced them to repeat it lower and softer, ensuring I couldn't hear you at all those times! The coffee is good, so I did add an extra star, but I should just have gotten it when I ordered food from the iPad at the table, which has amazing service. read more

Wow. How bad can $3-a-cup drip coffee be? I just found out. After enduring slow, surly service came the reveal: burnt, bitter and sludgy. Stop at*bucks and avoid this experience. read more

I was in Terminal C the other day and could not believe what I saw. I thought I was lost as I walked to this area and there was no more Dunkin Donuts or McD's. They are both no longer here and the entire area has been renovated with a number of different shops. It looks more modern -- I'll give them that but no DD or McD's. I figured I'd give Worldbean a shot so I got in line and waited...and waited...and waited. I think you get the picture. I couldn't continue to wait so I went to the market next door. Definitely disappointing. I may give it another shot next time but they have got to keep the line moving. read more

Worst service in the airport! Lady behind the counter must be mad at the world. Rude and slow! Better off dealing with the line at Starbucks

Some good healthy snacks here - like chips made out of beans. Price was relatively low for juice. Juicer was broken, but smoothie did the trick. And they added ginger. read more

What a horrible way to start my vacation. I didn't realize how hard it was to get a cup of coffee at the "World Bean". Rude and nasty staff clearly didn't want to be there. Also, self check out situation is a disaster. Broken computer system with angry customers and no assistance. I would rather the airplane coffee than this garbage. Don't let this place ruin your trip, avoid at all costs!! read more

With my early morning flight I was hoping to take a nap on the plane so I decided to get a juice and their avocado toast. After waiting 10-15 min in line I get to the front and the woman behind the cash register says "We don't have any toast", no apologies or any sympathy. There was no hours of availability or "sold out" written on the board so I was a little annoyed but opted for an almond croissant instead. She rang me up and grab my $20 and Gave my change... but I noticed that something seemed odd. The little 10oz apple juice I got was $8... and no prices were listed in their cooler. I know NYC is expensive but $8! JFC should've got cocktail at that price. I tried to find a phone number or email to contact this company but they don't even have a website. A company that doesn't have any website calls itself WORLD Bean... fool me once. read more

Really bad cup of coffee for way too much money....go somewhere else to get a drink. Another OTG failure. Dunkin donuts can't get back soon enough. read more

I drink lattes and nothing kills me more than having to pay an arm and a leg for one. At Starbucks a tall latte only has one shot of espresso and a shit ton of milk! I barely get a pick me up. After I make it a double and order it with soy milk, I end up paying over almost $4.50 for a coffee! Come on!!! World bean makes their small latte with two shots in it because that's what a small latte should have! and they have soy aaannd almond milk and it's still under $4! Thank you World Bean! read more

Was "closed" but had the order screen out and the worked told me how to order. I went paid and stood waiting for 20 minutes and then had a different worker from the pizza place realize the screen was out and turn it away. I spent $9 and want my money back. read more

Clearly I understand the lower rating here. One of the workers definitely had attitude going on when I was there. I couldn't drink my coffee in peace. One worker was cleaning the back room and deliberately dropped all parts of the bucket assembly multiple times on purpose....so much deliberate banging and clanging. Very unnerving. read more

Ugh. Coffee is better than starbucks but wait is unreasonably long. Just stood in line 15 minutes and had to leave without coffee because there were still 5-6 people in front of me. At least starbucks is properly staffed and you can expect to get coffee in under 20 minutes. read more

I've been having a bit of bad luck with airport coffee places lately. I went to worldbean intending to get an iced chai but saw they made iced thai tea and I LOVE Thai tea. Unfortunately it doesn't taste or look anything like thai tea to the point that I have to wonder if they've ever seen or had thai tea before. There's an easily noticeable 1 cm of condensed milk right at the bottom of the tea and I can just barely tell that there's some sort of tea underneath all the milk. I'm pretty sure they didn't use any kind of Thai tea in this and it's just some cheap black tea. Overall subpar service with low quality tea. Not the kind of drink break you want after carrying a bunch of heavy luggage. read more

World Bean - This is a thai tea???? - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

What an awful experience. Where's the line for this place. I approached the counter along with half a dozen other confused customers wondering where the que was supposed to start. Fortunately an irate employee came along to cherry pick which customers out of the crowd she would like to help. I got my coffee and was scolded for not knowing where the cream and sugar was. My apologies, it is difficult to understand someone mumbling under their breath. Great, my coffee run is going swimingly. Now it's time to pay for my beverage. Where is the checkout counter? I see a bunch of goons scanning the crowd for coffee thieves, but no checkout counter. Aha! A kiosk! Now to scan my coffee ticket and pay. Hmm there's an option for a credit card but I'd rather pay in good old fashion American currency thank you very much. I'm sure there is a button for that around here somewhere. So, I've managed to crash the checkout kiosk. Fortunately the assistance required strobe light is going off so I'm sure a friendly attendant will be by shortly. The security goons certainly don't seem to mind. No bother, I'll just look for another kiosk. Moved on to kiost number 2 and now my ticket isn't scanning. I like to think of myself as a honest man but I do believe the gods want me to steal this cup of coffee. I see my opening, the goon is distracted. Arg! Damn catholic guilt won't allow me to become a thief today. Onward to search for another kiosk. At last! A kiosk that accepts cash!......"out of order". At this point my coffee is aproaching room temperature. I could slug this bad boy and walk out of here empty handed. They'd never know. It's not really stealing if the coffee is already on its way to my bladder. Hell, it's not like they could ask me to put it back. Did I mention this coffee sucks? Ah ha! A fellow confused consumer, with cash in hand! Surely he's in the same predicament I am. I'll tail him for a bit and see if he has better luck than I. At last, a working, cash friendly, checkout kiosk. I scanned my ticket, inserted my $10 bill, and out came my change. At least it didn't dump out those damn Sacagawea coins. Finally, I'm off to my flight with cold crappy coffee in hand. 1 star, will not visit again. read more

Got a tea and pastry, both were good...I wouldn't trust the coffee, they seem disorganized and are always are busy so grab something easy. A lot of complaints are about the prices, but it is an airport cafe in the New York metro area: if you have been in the area the prices shouldn't be a surprise. The employees don't know what's on their own menu, every time I order they have to look back at the sign in confusion. This is also the third time I've been told they don't have the ingredients for what I want (I imagine this is because they'd prefer I order a regular coffee rather than a special which takes a little longer to make). This time I just changed my order to another special and after another look at the menu in confusion, the employee heads to the back to get the ingredients she needs. I just had the most terrible experience at this place. Their regular coffee can be mistaken for coffee flavored water. Was waiting on line with such rude people, and the young guy working the counter tonight (11/26/16- at 7:50 pm) by himself- had started two weeks before. It was really busy and people were making comments aimed at him (loud enough for him to hear), and he was nothing but respectful and sweet to every customer. Go worldbean for hiring such awesome and kind baristas. Thank you to the young man working for keeping up the holiday spirit! read more

Stopped at World Bean at Newark International airport. Coffee OK. Pastries were bricks. Service was slow. Forget about it.

Staff was rude and the checkout procedure was confusing - the person wouldn't give me my coffee until I paid but despite my asking how, she wouldn't tell me how to do that. (they give you a receipt at what appears to be the checkout but you are then supposed scan and self pay at a kiosk at the edge of the store - some simple DIRECTIONS would be helpful). The coffee wasn't too good and the muffin was terrible. I really wish I had taken the time to find the Starbucks. read more

Customer service was nice and the coffee was just what I needed. However be aware you are in a airport so it is overpriced.

I had the best cup of coffee I have ever had in my life. Great place and great service. Please move to State College, PA.

Slow surly service. It's actually a PITA to get a cup of coffee. And the line up order, walk over there and pay then come back for the coffee just doesn't work even if you have staff that can work at a reasonable rate let alone the incompetent crew that they had there this morning. 35 minutes of lining up at at both locations and still couldn't get a mocha even though they insisted that other location had chocolate. Save yourself the bother and walk 1/2 way across to the next concourse beside the United Club is a Starbucks that can at least get you through in a reasonable time and is staffed by people who seem like they actually care. I have no idea what the coffee quality is like. Never got that far through the process. Just to indicate how bad I think they are. I signed up for Yelp just to post a review. I never complain but usually just walk and let my $ do the talking. read more

Visited this kiosk in Terminal C in Newark Airport on 20th June 2018. It is the only place to get food outside of the departure gates so I thought that it would be very busy but not so and I soon found out why, A young African American girl was sitting with her back to the customers at the checkout looking at her phone. What followed was the rudest few minutes of exchange that I have ever experienced in my long life of sixty two years. This young lady clearly hates her job and wants the world to know it. I thought at first that this must be a candid camera setup she was that rude but not so she was for real. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to see how not to serve a customer. read more
