Was at an event at the convention center across the street and desperately needed coffee. Enter PJs coffee. I ordered a cookie dough oatmilk latte and it was everything I needed. Sweet but not sickeningly sweet (I don't like syrup to overtake the taste of the beans). The beans I could tell were good quality and not burnt ----looking at you Dunkin ---which helped make a smooth drink. As for the customer service. The server was nice. Nothing over the top. Just pleasant. Pricing was on par with any other coffee shop.

Me and my mom stopped here for a quick bite on our ride back to NYC after seeing a show at the NJPAC. When we arrived there was only one person in front of us but within a matter of minutes, the line was long. There was only one staff in the front and she moved pretty quick. However, during events it would be helpful to have more assistance. The staff was very friendly. My mom and I ordered the turkey sandwich with cheese and I had a hot tea to go. The sandwich was fresh and delicious and hit that hunger spot. The tea wasn't as hot as I like but it warmed me up because it was a chilly day. They have a variety of teas, coffees and baked goods. The bathroom was big and clean and there was sufficient space to sit and enjoy a light meal and drink. I would return here if I'm in the area.

I love PJs Coffee Shop I recently discovered it yesterday and I love it I came today to do some homework and Bible study and it's very quiet and the people are polite and welcoming. this goes down in my book as amazing The food is delicious, warm and made with love and as an big ice coffee lover I am impressed and love it. I will be a regular customer

This afternoon, my husband and I went to PJ's Coffee by NJPAC for an impromptu date. I'd passed by the coffee shop countless times, each time saying to myself, "Man, I really should check that place out." So today was the day - some hot coffees and sweet treats seemed like a good idea on a cold day like this. The PJ's is housed in one of the storefronts on the street level of One Theater Square, a luxury apartments building right across from NJPAC and Military Park. PJ's is a chain originating from New Orleans. I'd been to PJ's in Louisiana and other states, but this was the first location I'd visited in NJ. When you walk in, you'll notice there's a variety of seating options - tables with hard back chairs, club chairs, or couches. My husband sat at a table with comfy club chairs, while I placed our orders. The woman at the register was nice and, after taking my order, asked if this was for there or to-go. Saying it was here, she said she'd bring it over to us - which was nice. There aren't too many coffee places in Newark that do that - normally, most places around are set up for grab-and-go or pick-up-at-the-counter-to-take-to-the-table-you've-successfully-claimed. She was also friendly to all the customers who came in, and the place had good vibes overall. Coffees and food were great - I ordered a Cafe Au Lait, and he ordered a hot coffee. To share, we got a spinach and feta croissant and a raspberry white chocolate scone. The coffees are good; note though, the coffee at PJ's has chicory in it - Leroux French chicory, that's what sets it apart from other coffee franchises.

I'd like the look and feel of the decor. The purple color scheme was great. The location of itself is right near the Prudential Center. It doesn't even look like it's Newark. The business gave me TriBeCa vibes. The staff was nice and willing to talk to me and my kid. They even addressed him first and I appreciated that greatly. I don't recall which coffee it was I ordered but it was not my usual flat white. The temperature of the drink was fine but I didn't really enjoy my coffee. It tasted a bit weak for me and like I wasn't getting the full flavor. That being said, I'm willing to return back and try a different beverage. It could just be that that's the taste of the drink I ordered. I liked their pastry options as well. I think it's worth it to stop in and give them a try. Even if it's just a one time thing.

Let just say you won't regret getting a few breakfast meal , pastries from this shop . Their customer service are immaculate , the owner is supper nice . The spinach croissant is literally everything ! Check them out.

Stop in here for some coffee, pastries and beignets. A little expensive but cheaper then Starbucks. Wonderful young lady who served there with a smile. New Orleans decorations around.

Decided to join the breast cancer walk they had near here and along the route was PJ's coffee. Had to double back to get that awesome good iced coffee that I've been hearing about. I must say staff was nice and friendly and made my cup of Java very good. Have to come back and try some of the food. The coffee was on point.

Dark roast with what was supposed to be a small bit of half and half. Clearly it's all milk

I live in the neighborhood and decided to try PJ's coffee for the first time! After hearing so many great things about it from my New Orleans friends, I surely thought this would be a treat. Unfortunately this will be my last time going there. The "barista" knew nothing about the coffee, she was maskless and on the phone drinking coffee when we first walked in. So of course, there was no greeting. I asked her what does the Vienna creme consists of, she said sugar cane syrup and dark roast. Which was wrong after checking on the website. I could tell that she was completely checked out and in a rush so I just asked for a plain coffee with a tiny bit of half and half. My coffee is full of milk and weak. Disgusting. Don't waste your time, there are sooo many great coffee shops in the area with great service. I definitely will not be going back.

I ordered a turkey sausage and egg white sandwich with a "Dark Roast" coffee. I asked that they put sugar free hazelnut and cream in it which for whatever reason the barista put more of the cream and hazelnut than the actual coffee. As a result, I could not taste the coffee at all and ended up throwing it out. Very disappointed. I may try again with a regular unflavored coffee just to see what the coffee tastes like but honestly I'm not sure if it's worth it. It's really sad because I live right across the street and was excited to become a patron.

Trying something new every time we go & always warm & delicious...

Super accommodating staff, patient with all the questions I have on all the different varieties of coffee...everything I've tried is delicious! Those chocolate muffins are my kids' favorite food- and it's rare to find an iced chai that doesn't just take like syrup...delicious.

My friends and I ordered their toter tots, crispy chicken and chocolate bubble waffles with milk tea ice cream to share and I ordered their jasmine tea with cheese foam. Our order was ready a lot quicker than I had expected. The taiwanese crispy chicken was crispy, juicy and tender as they used chicken thighs for it. It was also well seasoned and tasted authentic. The tater tots were also perfectly fried as it was super crispy and they were sprinkled with the same seasoning as the chicken. The bubble waffle was the biggest surprise for me as I have never found a place that does it right (texture wise). This is the place! The waffle was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and the batter wasn't too floury as I have often found in other places. But that could also be because we ordered chocolate flavor so I should try their original next time. My only complaint is it didn't have enough chocolate taste for me. The milk tea ice cream, although wasn't the best I've had but it's decent and you can still taste the tea. My jasmine tea with cheese foam was fragrant and the cheese foam complimented the tea well and didn't make it overly filling. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I've ordered here and it's perfect for a mid day or late night snack and drink. I have been to other locations in the area and thought they're not as good as this one so I will have to come back to this location especially for their bubble waffles.

My husband ordered the Cremas Latte and oh my god I wish I got it, it was so delicious; creamy, flavorful and sweet. I ordered the iced toasted almond "hot" chocolate, it was a very rich dark chocolate taste with the amaretto flavor coming through nicely. It was not overly sweet which I enjoyed. I think this is how hot chocolate was meant to taste and I'll be curious to try it hot. I also appreciated that there was some of my drink that didn't fit in the cup, so the barista gave it to me in another cup. My son ordered a Golden Mango Smoothie- he loved it! I love that it has turmeric in it, I felt good letting him have this drink. We also got some snacks. We ordered the Haitian beef patties which were very authentic. You get two per order which was a nice surprise. My son wanted to eat all 4 from our two orders. We also ordered a mini chocolate cake which was decadent and moist and a mini key lime pie which was refreshing and delicious! It was really nice being able to go to a Haitian cafe.
