I saw videos of this new restaurant and wanted to try it out. The North York location is TINY. There are only 4 tables in the entire restaurant. Dine in time is only for 1 hour as the waitlist can get long. This location is definitely better for take out. My friend and I ordered the rose tteokbokki with fish cakes, spicy crab meat rice ball, cheese butter fries. My favourite was definitely the spicy crab meat rice ball. All the dishes had lots of flavours and the portions were big. All the prices are very affordable as well. I didn't see any washrooms. Overall, loved the food here. I would definitely come again for take out or visit the other location. Highly recommend.
Didn't know about this spot until my friend brought me here. Seatings are very limited and I wrote my name + # down and they never call. We decided to go back and there were seats available. Food, we got the black bean udon with sausages, rosé tteokbokki with fish cakes and crab rice balls. All were reasonable price and food items were delicious. The back bean sauce was on the sweeter side. I find that the rice cakes here are much chewier and less opaque so I think they used tapioca to get that chewy texture. The rosé sauce was very good, creamy and a bit sweet. The rice balls was crunchy and flavourful. I'd recommend coming here during odd times if you want seatings.
One of the best dukbokki places I've tried! We shared the spicy black bean dukbokki (spicy level 3 which was pretty spicy - started sweating), the spicy salmon mayo tofu pockets, and the crab salad rice bowl. All the dishes tasted so good especially the chewy rice cakes were perfectly cooked. The rice with the sauce was so so good and it was super filling only for ~$30 with tax and tips. I would definitely return!
The good: This is such a cute spot to get a quick bite of Korean street food. It has limited seating but you can put your name down and most of the food are small and quick eats so waiting for a table doesn't take too long. The food is very tasty and full of flavour because of the visible seasoning (cue...lots of mayo). I ordered the rice ball and the cheese butter fries. The fries were delicious and reminded me of these Korean butter chips you can get from the grocery store. Eating these were a guilty indulgence because I just couldn't stop! The bad/needs improvement: Just more seating!
This is one of my favourite Korean places! The food is always really tasty, and they make it pretty quickly too. You can get 10% off with cash. The store itself is very small, but there are a couple of tables to sit at.
Creamy, hearty & delicious! Came here craving for some rose tteokbokki and was not disappointed! The interior is small with only four tables of 2, but take out is always an option as well! Started with the rice ball. Do not underestimate this dish as it's so delicious. Comes with a disposable glove for you to mix the ingredients together and form into little balls of goodness - YUM! 9/10 Rose tteokbokki is the best! All tteokbokki comes with onion and sausage only so you will have to add additional toppings to it if you wish. Please note to add the wide potato noodles to the rose tteokbokki - it's a MUST! Deliciously wide chewy noodles in the thick creamy rose sauce was perfect for slurping. Also added fish cakes which were a nice touch. 10/10 - GET THIS! Cream pasta also only comes with onion and sausage and will need to add additional toppings if you want more goodies in your pasta. I added the bacon which was a nice flavour to the pasta. The cream is a little heavy but still very tasty. 7.5/10 Deep fried laver roll is nice and crispy with a soft chewy interior of noodles. Got this mainly to dip into the tteokbokki sauce and to have a different crunchy texture to the meal. 8/10 Can't wait to come back for the rose tteokbokki. Drooling just thinking about it!
I found out about this restaurant while walking to another one and just had to go back to try this one! I LOVE teokkbokki! My friend can't take food that's super spicy so we ordered the chicken cream teokkbokki, spicy salmon tofu pocket and their cheese, ham and potato toast. We loved the teokkbokki and the tofu pocket! I misinterpretted their toast and was expecting the korean breakfast toast sandwich. It was good but if we need to order more food next time, we'd try their pasta or order another teokkbokki or even their rice ball dish! Overall, we loved the food and will go again! Do note the seating is limited so go early or order take out! The shop is quite busy with many take out orders and diners! It's a great place for a bite for a couple!
Looking for a new korean street food restaurant in North York? Woojoo Bunsik is the place to go!! They have various kinds of tteokbokki, korean style pastas, rice balls & tofu pocket rice. The place is quite small so there are limited spaces to dine in. They also offer 10% off discount for cash payments! I ordered their rosé tteokbokki with deep fried fish cake. There are various toppings you can add to your tteokbokki and different spice levels. This spot has to be my favorite place for tteokbokki's because its so good!!! The sauce is so creamy and packed with flavour. As for the rice cake, the texture was made perfectly. So soft and chewy. For the cream pasta, it is just like a carbonara pasta but I really enjoyed it! I would definitely come back again to try their dishes.
Delicious! Will come again to eat. Really enjoyed the textures and flavours here. Limited seating so come in early!
There's no better pho spot in downtown Toronto that offers a large bowl of beef pho for just $11.99. They also provide a 10% discount (leave them a review!). @beleaf.toronto offers generous portions, with so much meat that we could barely finish it all. Don't miss out on their drinks! My favorite was the coconut White Moonlight (coconut water with cheese foam). Here's what we tried: - House Special (rare beef, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball) - Tom Yum shrimp pho - Fish sauce-glazed chicken wings (succulent, flavorful, and crispy) - White Moonlight (coconut water with cheese foam) - Mango smoothie (mango, coconut milk, cheese foam) Thanks for the great food and hospitality @beleaf.toronto Yelp Elite Google lv 8 local guide Pm for collab #ontario #torontolife #toronto #vietnam #creative #kids #多倫多 #torontoblogger #多倫多好去處 #torontovietnamesefood #torontoweekend #milktea # #internationalfoodiesunite #internationalfoodieschat
This place is a teeny tiny hole in the wall. There are about 3 or 4 tables that will seat 2-3 people. There is also a seating limit so you can't linger for long. Very casual, quick eats kind of place. They have various carb heavy options: tteokbokki, udon, spaghetti, and rice balls. We got: -spicy crab rice balls- they give you a glove to mix it all together and make rice balls but we just ate it as rice. -basil cream udon -rosé tteokbokki: we got mild but it still had a little spicy kick! Everything was tasty, but it definitely was not a balanced meal. I would recommend if you want to stop by for a snack!
This restaurant is slightly outside of Toronto is a small storefront with just a few tables. We came around dinner time and was able to be seated immediately. You would go up to the cash register and order your meal and then they'll bring it out to you. We ordered the tuna rice ball, as well as the rose chicken bokki with glass noodles and the cheese butter French fries. The french fries were very crispy and large. I did like the flavor but it did throw me off a little bit that it was on the sweeter side. As for the rice ball, this was such a fun activity since we got to mix and make the rice balls ourselves. The rice balls are a great dish to have with the rose chicken bokki. The rose chicken bokki was very very flavorful, and I love the sauce it came in. Overall, the prices were super competitive, and the food was delicious. I would definitely come back in the future!
Tried this a while ago, small cozy restaurant. I feel like the food a fusion twist to the usual tteokbokki. It was pretty good and the mild spice was still giving me good vibes as my friend couldn't eat spicy this reminded me of the mild version of the samyang ramen. The rice ball was a first for time for us and it's interesting to have to mix it with a glove and rolling it up to eat, to be honest mixing it up like bibimbap would be the same thing. It's for the experience I guess, worth trying out but if it's busy the turnover can be a bit long as the service isn't the fastest.

August 14, 2026 - We got the rose chicken tteokboki and the spicy mayo salmon rice balls. We went normal spice for the tteokboki, which was perfect and came with sauseages, and onions. The rice was good as well. You mix it all together and you get a close to squeeze it into bite sized balls It was the perfect Korean comfort food spot. read more
Hmm...my partner and I were really craving yubuchobap (Korean inari sushi with toppings), so we decided to try Woojoo Bunsik because of its high Google rating. Unfortunately, it was extremely underwhelming. First off, the pricing was fucking wild. We got 2 spicy salmon yubus and 2 scrambled egg yubus, and it came out to nearly $20 with tax...for what are basically bite-sized pieces. On top of that, the toppings were very skimpy: the salmon ones were just a few small cubes mixed with a lot of spicy mayo, an the scramble eggs ones...they were just scramble eggs. Flavor-wise, nothing really stood out either, aside from the tofu skin itself (which was premade) Honestly, I'm starting to question these yubuchobap spots in general. I had a similar experience at YUBU before in Toronto--also disappointing and way overpriced (I remember paying around $30 for five pieces). At this point, it just doesn't feel worth ordering yubuchobap at a restaurant. read more

A small shop in North York - few mins drive from Finch station - offering Korean fried chicken, tteokbokki, rice balls, tofu pockets, pasta / udon, risotto, and more! Choose from mild, normal, spicy levels 1-4 . Featured here: Basil Cream Pasta - Spicy 1, Tuna Rice Balls , Rose Tteokbokki - Spicy 1 , Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken Service was quick! More of a sit down spot for small groups of 2-4. Any larger you may want to get takeout. Food was fresh and delicious; if you can handle a low to medium spice, I would go for spice level 1. I would come again to satisfy my cravings read more

Very small place, 3 small tables for eat in dining, staff and patrons all speaking Korean. For a small place, nice variety of authentic Korean style snack meals. Alot of take out business. Staff very pleasant and helpful, order menu items at counter, find a seat/table, they'll bring the food to you. They cook it fresh so there is a short waiting time. Selection of Korean comic books for the nerdy ( no offense ) Ordered teokbokki with cheese and rose' sauce & Spicy salmon tofu pocket. Both dishes were exceptional, packed full of flavour. So good I was expecting BTS to walk in So many other dishes I would like to try, just when I thought I got out they pull me back in, I'll need to come back read more

After a day of food crawling in Markham, ended our day here in Woojoo bunsik. We decided to have dinner and ordered 4 items from the menu. The place is primarily a take away but they also have 4 tables that can sit 2 or 3 people. We called in ahead and they said that that walk in would be ok as there was no reservations. We didn't wait long about 15 minutes max. Heard good things about the place and I had a chance to speak to the owner who was busy cooking but still chatted with me for a bit. He recognized that the place is small but he said that they plan to open 2 more places soon yay! We ordered the following Cream pasta- 10/10 I love cream pasta. The creamier the better so to me it's a 10 and I ordered this to balance the other spicy food that I ordered Tteokbokki- 10/10. I ordered the plain one and did not add any other toppings but it was still good. The sauce was perfect spice level. I ordered mild knowing that Korean food can get pretty spicy. Spicy crab rice bowl: 9/10. Like the rest we did not order any add on toppings and I wish I did though bec I had to reluctantly share it hahaha. Spicy mayo salmon tofu pocket: 8/10: this was good but it was a bit saucy for me. Overall, the food we tried were great and affordable. The service was great too! Will definitely go back read more
Sadly, I usually don't get to eat tteokbokki outside of cream flavours because I have a low spice tolerance.. so I was really excited to try this place out when I saw that they have a wide range of spicy levels! I (obviously) went for "mild", which is their lowest level and tried the rose flavour - it was perfect! It definitely still had a kick and made my nose run but it was mild enough that I could enjoy it. My friends who debated between "normal" or "level 1" ended up picking normal and said it was the right call. They said level 1 probably would've been uncomfortable for them. FYI - the employee compared their normal to a shin ramyun. The tteokbokki had a really great texture - it was soft and chewy and adhered to the sauce really well. I also ordered an add-on topping of fish cakes and there was a generous number of pieces. The crab meat rice ball was a perfect complement to the tteokbokki dish because it helped to balance out the spiciness of the sauce and not waste it! Although the rice ball sounds simple in theory (rice mixed with mayo, pickled radish, seaweed, and onion chips), the final product was really delicious and actually a favourite amongst my group. I also got the deep fried laver rolls to add some texture and crunch to the meal - it was great and everything I expected it to be. For those wondering what the difference is between tteokbokki and chicken bokki, my party ordered both to see and the consensus was that the chicken bokki has a good amount of chicken but not a lot of rice cakes. Overall, the food here was great and I would definitely recommend it. The single portions are enough to satisfy but not to get full and the dishes are primarily starch-based. I'd suggest that for an average appetite, you'd be looking at getting a few add-ons or a rice and a tteokbokki (min $20/person) to get full. Also, the restaurant is very small and only has 4 small tables for two. They also have 10% off for cash payments. read more
Had to wait a bit to be seated as there is very limited seating. We went on a Sunday at around 2pm and waited 15 minutes for a table. I would say the restaurant fits 10 people max, the restaurant is very small and the tables and chairs are small too. Also, you have to order at the cash register. The workers were very nice. There's a 10% discount if you use cash! Overall the food is very cheap, our total came to $32.10. I ordered mild for both tteokbokki. The rose tteokbokki was so good, sweet and creamy. However, even though I ordered mild, I found it spicy. It was so good that I finished it anyway even though I was in pain, but I think if you have a weak tongue like me I do not recommend it. They were very generous with the mozzarella cheese! My boyfriend said he liked both dishes, especially the sausages and sauce. The cheesy butter garlic fries have a strong sweet butter taste. They were really good and crispy! The cheese sauce is mild compared to the butter taste. They were also sweet. I liked them a lot, and it came out pretty quickly. Overall, very excited to go again as the food was better than I expected! I hope they increase the seating. read more

I saw this place on TikTok and IG, so it has been on my list of places I wanted to try as I am now back in the city. Luckily I have a friend who is a huge foodie so we went together. It is a very small place, but there is room for like 3 tables and my friend and I came in at opening time to grab one. We ordered the spicy jjajang tteokbeokki, rosé tteokbeokki and rice ball. I loved how the rice ball came with a plastic glove so you could mix it up with your hands! The price of the tteokbeokki itself isn't bad at all, but it adds up when you add toppings like cheese, wide glass noodle, fish cakes, eggs, etc. The food came out quick and steaming hot! Onto the food: the rosé tteokbeokki was our favourite. A perfect blend between creamy and spicy. The cheese topping made it 10x better and ahhhh I want it again! The jjajang tteokbeokki was creative! A bit salty, and it kind of lacked the flavour we got in the rosé tteokbeokki. Personally, I do not think I'd get it again but it was nice to try. The rice ball was yummy. It was great at cutting the spice from our other items. Im glad I tried this place! If you love Korean food and wanna try something new I'd go for it! 8/10 read more
heard great things about their tteokbokki We tried: Regular Tteokbokki: Added sausage, fish cake and cheese. This was pretty good! Nice flavours and a good kick for level 2 spice Rose tteokbokki: Added fried fish cake and cheese. This one was on the creamier side. I never tried fried fish cake in tteokbokki before, I wasn't sure what to expect but it's just a less soft version of regular fish cake Mala chicken bokki: (Not Pictured) this was essentially tteokbokki with pieces of chicken. But I felt the amount of chicken and rice cake was quite sparse. The mala flavor reminded me of curry which was interesting Rice balls: This was a mix-it-yourself item with mayo, pickled radish, seaweed, and onion chips. If has creaminess, crunchiness and umami all in one bite! I preferred the spicy salmon rice ball as it had more flavor. Tastes so good dipped in the tteokbokki sauce Spicy salmon tofu pocket: (Not pictured) I felt the rice in this was too wet Cheese butter garlic fries: They gave this to us on the house but it wasn't for me. But if you're a lover of those Korean Honey Butter chips then you'd love this! I definitely think this place has great variety for a spot that specializes in Korean street food. But overall for Tteokbokki, Yupduk will probably still be my go-to for the richness of their sauce and their juicy mini hotdogs. Even though the manager is nice, the overall customer service experience could be improved. read more

This spot specializes in Korean street food with a menu of different tteokbokki flavours, Korean pasta, and little snacks. We had to try out their tteokbokki as it is one of our favourite Korean dishes! All tteokbokki come with sausages, onions and mushrooms. They have the choice of different spice level ranging from mild to spicy 4, and many different additional toppings to add. We ordered their rosé tteokbokki with a normal spice level and the spicy mala tteokbokki with spicy 1 level. In both tteokbokki we added mozzarella cheese and fish cake toppings. The rosé tteokbokki was super savoury with a hint of spicy cream, pairing well with toppings. We found the normal level of spice not that spicy and would definitely go up another level. The spicy mala tteokbokki was such a unique twist! The flavour wasn't too numbing but was still really tasty. As for the rice cakes, they were delicious with a slightly chewy texture and mixed well with the sauce. The fish cakes were savoury and had a soft texture, and we would definitely recommend adding this topping. The mozzarella cheese is a must for tteokbokki! It complimented the whole dish and was light and stringy. 8/10 read more
The decoration is so cute and the theme is a Korean street food restaurant only with a bench and a couple of stools inside. So it is primarily take out. I chose the Korean cream sauce pasta, it comes with sausage and onions but you can add different toppings such as boiled egg for 0.99, fish cake for 1.99, shrimp 4pcs for 2.99 etc. You can select the different spicy level, the lowest is mild, normal, spicy 1, spicy 2 and it goes up to spicy 4. Usually, I can handle spicy but even the spicy 1 was already very spicy. The cream sauce was soooo delicious and went well even with just the sausage. I ate the whole plate very fast because it was absolutely delicious. They told me they opened last year and here I am thinking how come no one told me about this place? They are also on Ubereats too! I will definitely come back again!!!! read more

Space theme restaurant that serves Korean street food - sign me up. Located near the intersection of Yonge & Cummer, Woojoo Bunsik offers dishes like tteokbokki, rice balls, pasta and more. Similar to many spots near the area, limited parking available. Their tteokbokki came in 6 different flavours and various level of spiciness. We tried the rose tteokbokki, which is like a creamy pasta sauce. Although the dish included sausages, mushrooms and onions, you can also add additional toppings like fish cakes and shrimps. The crab meat rice ball included pickled radish, seaweed and mayo - served pre balled. We also had the laver roll, which came in 4 pieces with japchae inside. Overall, all 3 dishes tasted great. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for some Korean street food. Both the cream mala and rose sauces are high recommend as they are rich in spiciness with a hint of sweetness. The tuna rice ball tastes like an onigiri (really cool we got to shape the ball ourselves). However there are limited seating if you plan on dining in, and probably will not fit big parties. The food came super quick(I had take out) and had an option of chicken instead of rice cake! Wow! (I don't like rice cake) also there was good portion of actual chicken(red meat-leg) My criticism is that I wish they have option of white meat. However flavour was great and I would definitely go back there if I crave rose ttokbboki read more
