10/10 Rosé Tteokbokki / 로제 떡볶이 Tuna Rice Ball / 참치 주먹밥

We ordered delivery and tried the rosé tteokbokki at spice level 3. I love very spicy food and usually order Thai spicy wherever I go, so level 3 felt like a good call as he can eat it too. Good middle ground overall. The rosé sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful. We added flat sweet potato noodles and an egg, which worked well with the sauce. I want to add even more noodles next time because the sauce was good enough to coat everything generously. We also ordered the tuna rice balls and mixed them ourselves, then dipped them into the rosé sauce. That combination was super umami satisfying and something I will order again. Everything arrived in good condition and still warm. I was pleasantly surprised, especially since I do not usually gravitate toward tteokbokki. This one changed my mind. Next time I want to try their classic Korean street style version, which we almost ordered instead. Glad this spot was recommended to me! Solid delivery option for Korean comfort food.

The restaurant is decorated with a space theme and cute astronauts throughout. We had the rosé tteokbokki with added glass noodles, fried chicken with a sweet & spicy sauce, spicy salmon yubu, and fried squid. The rosé tteokbokki came with sausages and onions as toppings and had a great flavour profile - creamy and a bit sweet but still quite spicy. The glass noodles could have been omitted as they were very chewy and hard to eat since they didn't break apart easily (you had to eat the entire noodle and it took a long time to chew each piece). The yubu and fried chicken which came with fried tteok were just okay, with the chicken being quite dry and not having much meat - I'd say stick to the tteokbokki and rice bowls. The fried squid was crispy and delicious - highly recommend. They also offer 10% off with cash.

Quick service and quickly seated on Sunday evening - it must be pretty authentic as there were numerous Koreans as well. The service was attentive and great with our questions. We ordered a few items from various categories and they were delicious. The soy garlic chicken was super yum... the basil cream chicken-bokki was also great. The donkatsu was also good... nothing over the top but well made. We did note that we wish the chicken bokki came with rice ... the sauce was very yummy! A great spot to check out... there aren't very many tables inside but I noted a patio outside so that would add quite a few tables. So glad we came by!

Great location and pricing for a good tteokbokki and rice balls. Glad it is closer to me vs the one up in North York. Bigger space and more tables. The rose tteokbokki was our favourite one. The sausage is sweet and yummy. We also liked the cream udon but not too much with the square cheese. The rice balls were fun to roll and a good portion. Will come back for more!!

This is a Korean restaurant. It is their second location. We've been to their first location in Thornhill before, which is so small that they crammed 4 small tables in there. This location is much bigger, with over 12 tables and plenty of spare space. We were there for a quick lunch, so we ordered one dish to share: Rose Tteokbokki ($22.96). We chose mild. We also added the following to the dish: - Fried Fish Cake ($2.99) - Sweet Potato Vermicelli ($3.99) - Mozzarella Cheese ($2.99) The food was really good, as it was at their first location. You can get a 10% discount when paying with cash; which we took advantage of. The decorations involve a lot of space-related things, hence blues and neon. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom in the basement, and it is not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2023-400

From a small space, the downtown location can serve more customers, probably close to 30. They also have more space-themed decorations which are the cutest. When you translate the store name, woojoo = universe; bunsik = snack bar. I was so distracted with their miniature art until the food came! We could never resist theTteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) smothered in their special sauces. Their tofu pockets were so flavorful that it left us hanging for more. Of course, the rice ball was amazing. I think the first time I have tried this was during our last visit. From then on, it has the benchmark was really high. Take note, their dishes were on our spicy side so we only tried until the normal level.

Cutest place ever!!!! Love the serving size. It's great for sharing. Can order multiple dishes and share if you're going with a group or even just two people! It was a quiet Thursday evening when I went. The server was very nice and service was great. It was busy so we got our foods pretty quick. I would definitely revisit this place again!

Went here on a weekend. This location is nice and spacious. The washroom is located downstairs, and the inside is only accessible by stairs as well. There is a patio for customers. They have table service at this location which is nice. The server was really kind. We ordered the deep fried chicken, cream tteokbokki and cheesy garlic fries. The fries are always good, and they have a strong butter taste. The chicken was okay- it was crispy and a bit overcooked. The tteokbokki was a bit bland. Compared to the other location, they put less potatoes in this one. Overall it was very cheap though and I got a discount for paying in cash.

Best Korean rice cakes in Toronto! The prices are very affordable and the taste is great. The rice cakes are soft but not too tough, unlike some other places. The sauces are also unique and delicious Clean and friendly service

    Chicken donkatsu plate

Went there for a quick dinner. Woojoo, is Korean for Space, and the Space theme drives the decor with cute models and graphics around the restaurant. The food is mostly very affordable, small portions - with quick turnaround. There is table service - so not completely a quick serve model - and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered the fried chicken, sausage and rice cakes in a spicy sauce and a chicken donkatsu plate. The chicken donkatsu was juicy but a bit bland with a cold donkatsu sauce; but did go well with the spicy sauce from the other dish! Overall, there are a lot of interesting items on the menu and a return visit would be well worth it!

We love the food here. So affordable and very delicious. If you take the transit, the place is very convenient to go too because it's close to Spadina Station. This spot is bigger than the North York branch, more tables to accommodate customers. The staff are also friendly.

The Korean pancake with seafood and vegetables was huge and much crispier than the one I've tried before. My beef tartare bibimbap was perfect. Hence we entered Jin Dai Lae. Good decision (yes, I am patting my back). Entree pricing was $3 to $4 lower than Markham/Richmond Hill. Portion was so big that you would be full, and might have to doggy bag. Most importantly, food tasted good. Short ribs stew had many pieces of beef. Squids hot plate was saucy. It wasn't too spicy, so it was good for me (menu didn't have a chilli sign either). For people who like it hot, you can ask for some chilli sauce.
