Beer and food menus.
Peter G.

Went in on a Saturday evening looking for a table for 6 people. Place was pretty busy, but we got lucky and found one right away. The service was excellent - fast, friendly and professional. Nice beer selection with regular, craft and non-beer options. The menu was simple, which I like. The table ordered some rosemary potato wedges and atomic fireballs for apps. Very good. We tried some wings, also good. They were fried crispy on the outside and tender inside. Sauce had a great flavor and had the right amount. For the main, I had a Fantasma Burger. Highly recommended!!! The bun was buttered and grilled, the double patties were cooked perfectly, and the sauce and toppings were spot on. The later it got, the busier the place became, so I recommend you go early. Cheers!

Went to see a show and overall the food, drink and music experience was fantastic. The dining options are basic bar foods. Beer list is extensive but not overly impressive. A lot of old staple craft beers. Very few newer options. The Wait staff and bartenders were fantastic. Very attentive and courteous.

We love coming here for drinks and food. They have a huge patio with a fire in the middle. Usually have live music as well.

Woodland Tavern is a quaint spot to enjoy your favorite show! There is a bar on one side with outside patio seating, then you go to the event side thru the back of the venue. There is a mini bar in the very back serving up cold drinks with a smile. We are very stoked to hit this spot while traveling to Columbus for this show. We will definitely keep an eye out for future events here! Go check it out!

It's still one of the best spots in Columbus. The best happy hour. They have a great local craft beer list. A full liquor bar and several wine options in single serve bottles. Live music that is out of sight. I got a Downeast Cider, and my man got an Elvis Juice. Here again for day drinking with The League Bowlers. Perfect for us 'old' people home before 7 pm. I love that they now have food on Sundays. The in bar restaurant used to only be open 6 days a week. This only makes this place even better. We love coming here. They have two rooms, two bars, two sets of bathrooms. One large outdoor patio with a fire. Their own parking lot out back. You can also park in the front during certain days and times.

I've been coming here for oh, at least a decade. Even when I lived in Zanesville, about an hour away, friends and I would purposely come to town to go to Woodlands. The music is what draws us here. I almost always only come here when there is a live show taking place. The space itself is split into two, one side is the bar and kitchen, the other side is the music venue. They also have a great patio out front. I had pizza here once way back in the day, but I usually just order a few drinks while I'm here. The venue side has a small bar but the kitchen side is where they have the most options. As I mentioned, the main reason I come here is for the music. I've seen the Floorwalkers once or twice and I always make it a priority to come when the Spikedrivers are playing. I went to OU where they've played often, and try to catch them whenever they are in town. The space has a whole light system and the sound is usually pretty good. I like that they give you wristbands so you can walk back and forth between spaces. I also like that you can purchase tickets ahead of time instead of paying cash at the door. There's no doubt I'll continue coming here. If you've never been and you're a fan of live music, add it to your Yelp Collection pronto!

Is there a better live music venue in Columbus? Doubt it. High quality audio and lights in a smaller (~300) setting. Some of the best live shows of tee past decade have been here. Huge selection of quality draft beers and a fantastic kitchen all served up by a smiling crew. And the happy hour is tough to beat.

I can't believe how much Woodlands has changed in the last few years! The music room has gotten some pretty amazing soundproofing, and the patio door in that room has been removed, making way for a MUCH bigger stage! I had the pleasure of visiting on their "NYE do-over" night last weekend and the bar provided complimentary glasses of champagne for everyone at the show. As always, the staff is top-tier, and the band was awesome. I love how great the lighting looks with the new setup. Woodlands has ever been a top favorite of mine, and I can't wait to go back again soon! It's a totally different Woodlands than the place I went to in college, but it really still has the same heart and soul. Way to go Woodlands staff and cheers to many more years of bevs, bites, and bangin' beats!

Well the food looks and taste good. Will find out about the concert area at 700. But so far so good, except the bartender does not know how to pour Guinness for sure, all foam and no secound pour.

Chicken Crunchwrap and smash burger (Burger meat was thin like a Swansons burger)

Food was pretty darn decent, live music was awesome (although obscenely loud), outdoor seating didn't suck, large drink menu was appreciated. Two drinks and two meals was $33.

Is there seating at Woodlands Tavern show venue?

On one side, which has smaller acts and hosts the free happy hour shows, which are fun, but the other side which hosts the bigger acts that charge admission is standing room only.

Great live music, $2 dollar drinks (wells and drafts), late night pizza by the slice and courteous staff were great.

I can't prove this, but I believe they have the largest whisky selection in the city. Hey make a mean fish and chips, and there is even a day of the week you can get it for half-off (shhh). It can get crazy busy, so be prepared for that. We come back way too often!

McClellan's Pub delivered a plate of Fish & Chips so good I briefly considered applying for dual citizenship with Ireland and Great Britain just to honor both sides of the dish. Perfectly crispy, piping hot, and seasoned like the chef whispered sweet nothings to the fryer. The whiskey selection? Huge. Titanic. Practically its own ZIP code. But not a drop of Powers. , A tragedy Shakespeare himself would've rewritten entire scenes for. So, like any self-respecting Irish-at-heart patron, I defaulted to good old Jameson--reliable, comforting, and always there for you, like that one friend who helps you move because they "actually like lifting things." I also grabbed to-go orders for the home tribe: bourbon meatballs, prime rib sliders, and meatloaf. The feedback? Universal acclaim. They devoured everything like I'd brought them a peace offering after years of conflict. If McClellan's ever launches a catering service, entire families could be reunited. The place was packed through Happy Hour and well beyond--apparently, half of Columbus had the same idea. If popularity is a metric of quality, this pub is basically Beyoncé. Temperature-wise? A bit chilly. Could've been the weather... could've been the pub... could've been the frigid realization that they were this close to having my favorite whiskey. Hard to say. Bring a jacket just in case. All in all, McClellan's is a rock-solid choice for hearty pub eats, stellar vibes, and enough whiskey to make you forget they didn't have the one you wanted.

Great for finding some food before attending a show at one of the nearby theaters. The menu is what I would best describe as comfort, food. Burgers, pot roast, chicken, pastas, and other selections, which are filling and delicious. A menu is available for review online. Parking is available on street and in a variety of garages and flat lots located throughout the area.

Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
