I would've never known about this place if a friend didn't have her birthday party here! We came here around 8PM on a Saturday night. There isn't a sign (that I saw at least) outside of the building and almost looks sketchy. When you do walk inside it is beautifully decorated and fancy! Since it's in the downtown area, most parking is street, metered parking, or small parking lots. Most drinks are about $8. I only had the moscow mule and a pineapple margarita and both were pretty good. We did have a bad encounter with one of the bartenders working on April 9th. My boyfriend said he wanted a whiskey coke and she gave him straight whiskey, no coke. He gave her a gentle reminder and even apologized even though it wasn't his fault that she forgot. He felt bad because he thought he didn't say "coke" when he thought he did. She gave him such attitude for it so I had to speak out and say, "no you definitely did say you wanted a Midwest Spirit whiskey with coke" so she could hear it. The other bartender working that night was very nice so we just went to her for the rest of the night! She even took the time to cut up the straws so it would fit in the smaller cups :) Overall would come back!

Our first time in. Our friend told us to come here because they have the best old fashions. We were unsure if we were in the right place because there is no signage on the outside that says what the place is LOL. It looked very small from the outside. When you enter it's not small at all. And it's a lot different than I expected. I expected a dive bar type place. It was really nice actually. The decor and the bar area and the chandeliers. They have pool and darts in the front. Then a big bar area with lots of seating. Very cool natural wood tables in the booths. Very cool actually. The bar had anything you could want. We were told specifically to "have the blonde bartender make you an old fashion cuz she makes the best"! We found the blond bartender, her name is Hannah LOL. She is cute and very nice. She even came out to the patio a little after to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our drinks. I'm not a whiskey person so everyone got bullet old fashions and I got a double Tito's and soda with a slash of cranberry. Everyone loved the old fashions. She does make them very well!

Another new bar opened in Columbus. Duecento is one of the classier looking. The prices are surprisingly good in spite of this. Atmosphere is relaxed but it's still a new bar. This might get more energy when more people know about this. It is located across the street from Seventh Son Brewery. Maybe after you're tired of beer, come here and get a cocktail. This place was an abandoned warehouse. It's not pretty on the outside. The area is kind of sketchy. It's not as dangerous as it used to be. Still you should be careful around here. It has some good cocktails. Many are simple and not overly complicated. The bartenders were friendly and knew how to make good stuff. I had the 200, a signature cocktail. It's about $7, which is fair. This is made with Nux Alpina, OYO vodka, ginger, lime, and pomegranate. It's fucking good. The rest of the cocktails are priced similar. It's another bar. The location is very interesting. When you get tired of beer stumble over this way.

Can't believe this place hasn't gotten the hype it deserves. I was there on a Saturday night from 6-8:30pm and only one other couple walked in for a beer and left right away. Duecento has amazing craft cocktails, a well-priced menu, plenty of seating, beautiful patio, ambient lighting, great decor- I don't get it! This place has all the vibes one is looking for on a weekend night yet everybody seems to be overlooking this gem. My favorite part is the contrast of the Italian looking outdoors and Tiki decor inside. Also, the leather booths are so plush and comfortable! It's a great place for a romantic night but it also has clubby vibes with good throwback jams to dance to with some friends. Totally recommend!

We were in Italian village for dinner so we walked over to this new Columbus spot! The interior is very cool and there is a lot going on. I got the 200 to drink and it was really good, priced at $7. Since it was new, the age of the crowd was very diverse. So as it is around for longer I think it will be easier to see what the crowd is going to be like on a regular basis. They have some very cool and interesting cocktails which the bartenders spend a lot of time making, but in a good way! The guy making our drinks was a talented mixologist you could just tell. The bar is spacious with a good amount of standing room and limited seating room. There are bar games to play to keep you occupied as well. Street parking is available but no specific lot or at least not that I could see!

This place is very cool. Happy hours awesome two dollar beers and four dollar Tito's. Also I take my dog in and we sit very quietly in a booth. They have a beautiful fireplace in the middle and some gorgeous chandeliers. The bartender is awesome. I go early so it's quieter I'm sure it's a lot busier later in the evening.

Super cute up and coming. Love it's very fresh energy and delicious, well priced cocktails. Gives me English beer garden vibes. Love the patio out back very hidden gem. Can't wait till this place has the attention it deserves. The interior is very awesome as well. Nice and clean and it's right by 7th sons also so great pregame and or post game. Pour rating:8/10

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

I never leave Alibi disappointed. They always have such a creative menu with something for…read moreeveryone. It always amazes me how quickly they crank out such creative drinks. I'm sure some of them are batched, but they don't taste like they are. Service was excellent, as always. Endlessly knowledgeable. Small place, but never feels crowded even when full.

My Husband and I randomly stumbled upon this place walking to Chapman's one night after we were JUST talking to a buddy about how Columbus didn't have any "great" Wine Bars. So the next weekend we had to go back and check it out immediately!! This place is so friendly and cute as soon as you walk in. You can sit at a high top table, blue velvet couches for a more laid back option or the bar if you come alone or with a friend! The second best part about this place is you can order of a menu of curated pre picked wines and crafted cocktails or pop into the wine shop connected to it called Hausfrau Haven. You can buy a bottle there and open at The Laundry and split it with friends or your partner which I LOVE! You could even do your own little wine tasting too if you'd like! Lastly if you need a snack to drink more wine they have great little apps like nuts, cheese and a few more rotting options!! *My only complaint is I wish there was a water station or could get a glass of water. When I drink I like to have access to water and the little mini water bottles don't do much for me and I feel annoying asking for multiple when there* Minor detail and does not detour me from going!!!! Pair a stop either before or after to one of German Village's great restaurants and you're in for a special, albeit pricey night. In addition to fantastic drinks, Lawbird offers cocktail tasting classes from time to time which are a fun way to get sauced early in the day. And you will get sauced. If the owners keep up the good thing they have going - this will become an iconic establishment in the city. I hope they do. I've been more than 20 times so far and never get bored. Cheers!

I have a few qualms about their…read morereservation time limit (which, I will admit, are almost entirely based on the fact I want to try MORE of what they're offering), but I readily recommend this place to people as one of the coolest cocktail bars in town. Cocktail vibe is more "laid-back friends talking over creative drinks" than sultry, romantic date spot. Tons of natural light means this cocktail bar has had some of my *favorite* cocktail bar photos I've ever taken. It's so pretty in here. NOTES: -During pop-ups, walk-ins are near-impossible on weekends and not likely on weekdays. Make a reservation if you want to make sure you'll have a spot. -No dedicated parking lot. 3-hour-limit free residential parking all around Law Bird, though. We generally have to walk 2 or 3 blocks from parking to Law Bird. Be aware this is German Village, and you're looking at cobblestone sidewalks for high heel and accessibility purposes. -Law Bird mostly has small party seating. If you have a larger group you want to seat during a pop-up, make SURE to get that reservation in early. They have the single 8-person table. -They have snackies and food. Portion sizes are small (despite what the prices may suggest), though, so this is not generally a place to eat a full meal. All of the food is super flavorful, though, so definitely a great snack to add on. PROS: -Keeping things fresh, they regularly host cute seasonal events, new drinks, and pop-up events. In recent memory, I know they've done a Cherry Blossom one, a Spooky Halloween one, and a Christmas one. -They go ALL OUT for their pop-ups. It isn't just a brand new, professionally-printed menu (no pieces of paper with 4 seasonal drinks here). It's also all of their interior decor, bathroom decorations, bartop decorations, and more. Ceiling decor too! They get all up in there. It's really fun to see the space transformed constantly. -Between the new menus and the constantly-new decorations of their space, I love regularly popping into Law Bird. -I LOVE the creativity of the menus, and I LOVE that they offer cocktail classes. (I haven't taken one yet, but I'm excited to!) The menu has unique drinks, served with unique garnishes. They have a few "sugar cocktails", but for the most part, Law Bird drinks tend to be complex and spirit-forward. -Their "themed" bathrooms (even with their own themed music playlists) make me happy. They have two unisex, single room restrooms. CONS: -If you come during a pop-up with a smaller group, they will enforce their reservation time limit of 1.5 hours. This isn't necessarily the end of the world, but the times when they enforce their limits is when they have more customers waiting - and tend to be when the place is at capacity. When they're at-capacity, the bar staff and service staff is a lot busier, with drink service taking longer and servers checking in a lot less. This means we usually only have had the chance to place 2 drink orders during that 1.5 hour time limit before they ask us to leave. This can be rough (to try most of the drinks on a limited time menu) unless you're sharing drinks with your tablemates. If you still want to continue your evening with your friends after that 1.5 hour limit, Antiques on High, Daily Growler, and Cobra are easily walkable from here. -During their pop-ups on weekends, time between placing a drink order and receiving the drink has usually been around 15 to 20 minutes. Not the end of the world as you get to socialize with friends, but again, with the time limit, that can be a bit rough.

That being said, upon opening the door we were told we couldn't come in without masks. Mine was in my pocket, no problem. I haven't left my home (in Tennessee) often enough since the beginning of the virus for it to become habit to automatically put on a mask when I get out of my vehicle. But 9/10 times I remember before entering a public place. The male bartender just seemed rude in the way he told us to put one one. I had read the raving reviews, and being a Yelp Elite myself I know I can and do trust their reviews above others. So....I was really looking forward to trying something new and enjoy watching a bartender do their thing. The bartender pointed to two framed menus on top of a cooler containing seltzer's and canned drinks, and some glass bottles of pre-made cocktails, I think. I would've appreciated the bartender ask me what I liked, and help me decide, but it was easier for him to point to the sign. Customer service absolutely sucked hippo balls. I asked if I could just order a Knob Creek and Coke in a short glass, and a Blanton's for my hubs. Sure!! What I got was a shot of each in a to-go plastic condiment container with a lid, and two big paper go cups (like Burger King) of ice, and a can of Coke, which I told him never mind I had a soda in the truck. We also got two bags of Cheeto's, to make the sale legal. So....we poured our bourbons over the ice in the paper cups. I drank a few sips of mine, yum, even in paper. My husband was just about to take a sip and noticed something stuck in his ice that looked just like a maggot. He walked back across the street and told/showed the bartender, who vehemently denied it came from the ice because it was a brand new bag. Then I noticed 3 of the maggot looking things in my ice, so I went back in and showed my husband and then the bartender. He told my husband it was probably from the citrus he was cutting on a board near the ice bin. They were frozen INSIDE the ice cubes. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a picture of it, it was gross. I'm upset that a bartender would try to make it seem like it was nothing. After seeing it all in my ice my husband just asked for our money back, and the bartender said, "But I've already poured another." Ummm, sorry, but no thank you. He did give the refund, but I most assuredly won't give them a second chance when I visit Columbus.
