TLDR; had to dispute fraudulent activity because staff didn't return my credit card in a timely manner and supposedly proceeded to leave it sitting on the bar for public access even though I had already walked away. For clarity, this was my first time at this bar, so I was unsure of their usual practices. Female bartender took my initial order and provided drinks. I gave her my card and indicted I wanted to keep my tab open, she processed it on the terminal, I received a notification of the charge, and waited a few minutes before not receiving my card back before she went to make another customer's drinks. I didn't question this because some bars still keep cards for open tabs, so no problem right? Nope! Went back up over an hour later to order another drink; male bartender couldn't find my open tab. After finally going back and forth a couple times, he located my card then blamed me for leaving my card on the bar. I tried to explain I never received it back after keeping my tab open and he said "I don't have time to argue" then proceeded to just walk away. At that time, I also ordered 2 waters, and he said "water is at the end of the bar". Sir, if you are too lazy to ensure your patrons are not too drunk, especially when someone is specifically asking for water to help out other patrons, then you should not be a bartender nor be working anywhere in customer service. As someone with bartending experience, I always tip well to fellow bartenders, but that interaction immediately put it to 0 due to the sheer audacity that bartender had towards his patron. Anyway, the fraudulent activity comes in because between my initial drink order and my second drink order, there was another charge that occurred when my card was apparently left on the bar for anyone to grab. The fraudulent charge was over 20 minutes after my initial charge. The really interesting thing is that I was actually able to get my card back after this whole debacle, which means after the fraudulent purchase the bartenders finally decided to pick my card up and store it safely. I already contacted my credit card company to cancel the fraudulent transaction and replace my card, but I will be contacting the bar tomorrow to further investigate these circumstances. This clearly raises the concern that the bartenders are untrustworthy, primarily because I believe the only reason they would have been able to hold my card after the fraudulent charge is if they had used it themselves and assumed I was too drunk/oblivious to notice any extra charges and figured I would think I bought them myself. This is obviously hypothesis, but I doubt anyone stupid enough to use someone else's credit card would be smart enough to also leave it sitting on the bar so they don't get caught. read more

Duecento can be found in Italian Village, just around the corner from 7th Son. It doesn't quite look like a bar if you're just walking by during the day, but if it's later in the evening and you're doing just that, you'll likely be intrigued to check it out. At least that's how I stumbled upon it. The door is often open with the bouncer sitting right inside and this spot looks rather small from the outside, but it's a big space. There's two pool tables at the front and plenty of seating including booths. The space is decorated rather quirky with big chandeliers, giant murals on the wall, low key tiki vibes, but also a fish tank and fireplace. Towards the back you'll find the bathrooms and a nice sized patio, but I've never really hung out there. The staff here is also pretty nice, the drink prices are typical, and I like that they have touch tunes so I can play music I like. It's a little further away from me, which is why I always forget to come through. Next time I'm out and about and wondering where to go, I gotta remember this place. read more

We are frequent fliers here, so we decided to throw a birthday party here, and it was great! Jansen was so easy to get ahold of, so accommodating, and checked on us regularly. As they are all the time, the staff is so friendly. We love the vibe in here and will continue to come back. read more

I would've never known about this place if a friend didn't have her birthday party here! We came here around 8PM on a Saturday night. There isn't a sign (that I saw at least) outside of the building and almost looks sketchy. When you do walk inside it is beautifully decorated and fancy! Since it's in the downtown area, most parking is street, metered parking, or small parking lots. Most drinks are about $8. I only had the moscow mule and a pineapple margarita and both were pretty good. We did have a bad encounter with one of the bartenders working on April 9th. My boyfriend said he wanted a whiskey coke and she gave him straight whiskey, no coke. He gave her a gentle reminder and even apologized even though it wasn't his fault that she forgot. He felt bad because he thought he didn't say "coke" when he thought he did. She gave him such attitude for it so I had to speak out and say, "no you definitely did say you wanted a Midwest Spirit whiskey with coke" so she could hear it. The other bartender working that night was very nice so we just went to her for the rest of the night! She even took the time to cut up the straws so it would fit in the smaller cups :) Overall would come back! read more

Our first time in. Our friend told us to come here because they have the best old fashions. We were unsure if we were in the right place because there is no signage on the outside that says what the place is LOL. It looked very small from the outside. When you enter it's not small at all. And it's a lot different than I expected. I expected a dive bar type place. It was really nice actually. The decor and the bar area and the chandeliers. They have pool and darts in the front. Then a big bar area with lots of seating. Very cool natural wood tables in the booths. Very cool actually. The bar had anything you could want. We were told specifically to "have the blonde bartender make you an old fashion cuz she makes the best"! We found the blond bartender, her name is Hannah LOL. She is cute and very nice. She even came out to the patio a little after to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our drinks. I'm not a whiskey person so everyone got bullet old fashions and I got a double Tito's and soda with a slash of cranberry. Everyone loved the old fashions. She does make them very well! read more

Another new bar opened in Columbus. Duecento is one of the classier looking. The prices are surprisingly good in spite of this. Atmosphere is relaxed but it's still a new bar. This might get more energy when more people know about this. It is located across the street from Seventh Son Brewery. Maybe after you're tired of beer, come here and get a cocktail. This place was an abandoned warehouse. It's not pretty on the outside. The area is kind of sketchy. It's not as dangerous as it used to be. Still you should be careful around here. It has some good cocktails. Many are simple and not overly complicated. The bartenders were friendly and knew how to make good stuff. I had the 200, a signature cocktail. It's about $7, which is fair. This is made with Nux Alpina, OYO vodka, ginger, lime, and pomegranate. It's fucking good. The rest of the cocktails are priced similar. It's another bar. The location is very interesting. When you get tired of beer stumble over this way. read more

Can't believe this place hasn't gotten the hype it deserves. I was there on a Saturday night from 6-8:30pm and only one other couple walked in for a beer and left right away. Duecento has amazing craft cocktails, a well-priced menu, plenty of seating, beautiful patio, ambient lighting, great decor- I don't get it! This place has all the vibes one is looking for on a weekend night yet everybody seems to be overlooking this gem. My favorite part is the contrast of the Italian looking outdoors and Tiki decor inside. Also, the leather booths are so plush and comfortable! It's a great place for a romantic night but it also has clubby vibes with good throwback jams to dance to with some friends. Totally recommend! read more

We were in Italian village for dinner so we walked over to this new Columbus spot! The interior is very cool and there is a lot going on. I got the 200 to drink and it was really good, priced at $7. Since it was new, the age of the crowd was very diverse. So as it is around for longer I think it will be easier to see what the crowd is going to be like on a regular basis. They have some very cool and interesting cocktails which the bartenders spend a lot of time making, but in a good way! The guy making our drinks was a talented mixologist you could just tell. The bar is spacious with a good amount of standing room and limited seating room. There are bar games to play to keep you occupied as well. Street parking is available but no specific lot or at least not that I could see! read more

This place is very cool. Happy hours awesome two dollar beers and four dollar Tito's. Also I take my dog in and we sit very quietly in a booth. They have a beautiful fireplace in the middle and some gorgeous chandeliers. The bartender is awesome. I go early so it's quieter I'm sure it's a lot busier later in the evening. read more

Just because TouchTunes has a monopoly on the market doesn't mean you should only accept payments at the physical jukebox and not via mobile. I would spend time here but to be a Luddite and not allow people who have an investment in TouchTunes to not actually use TouchTunes via mobile where it makes it the most financial sense is just short sided. Following in the footsteps of the shit hole St James tavern. I did not know this place existed for most of 2019 and now I know why. Only allowed Eagles to play. And the bathroom is enormous but urinal is hidden behind stahl door. read more

I would NOT recommend Duecento. I was really hoping for a little hole in the wall speakeasy type bar... instead, it felt dirty and grungy and didn't have a good vibe. The drinks were absolutely terrible. They didn't have a lot of cocktail options (was hoping to try a few fun things). When we were there, there was only one bartender who was attentive but you could tell he didn't have a bartender background. Definitely disappointed. read more

I had high expectations for this place, but unfortunately, it wasn't a good cocktail bar. The menu was very limited, which I thought might be a good sign... but our old fashioneds were half spilled by the bartender and extremely watered down (see picture... what is this?!). I personally stood in this line for over an hour and watched over 30 people leave the bar without being let in. The system of letting in patrons is bogus. Especially in the freezing Ohio weather it is not fair to force patrons to wait for up to 2 hours when there is capacity available in the bar. There should be a clicker system where patrons out means patrons in. The bar is aware of how many seats they have and could operate under covid restrictions much more smoothly. read more
