We went in for the first time, to watch soccer and the Buckeye game. We sat at the bar and there are enough TVs to make everyone happy! The menu was very nice but as a vegan, although they had a burger and a hotdog, I wanted something different. The chef came out to speak to me and, wow, he made me the best spicy vegan quesadilla ever. They have vegan cheese and sausage and the presentation was fantastic. Overall, the service was fantastic, food was noteworthy and the atmosphere was fun! For a little stripmall, dive bar, this place was great! We'll be back. :)

Spacious neighborhood bar with the real hidden treasure being the Ambassador brand being in the kitchen. With 18 beers on draft and a wide variety of liquors, there's something for everyone here. Daily food and beverage specials ensures you don't need to break the bank to come here. Pointe Tavern has something for everyone!

The Pointe is a great little neighborhood bar where you check your ego at the door. My friends and I have been frequenting this bar for almost eight years now and it's nice to see that some things never change. You'll see construction workers with lawyers with landscapers with State Representatives. It's not the fanciest of establishments --I've still failed to see a single drink served in a martini glass-- but the regulars are friendly, the prices are super cheap, and it's a great launching point for the rest of the night's activities. There are three pool tables, three steel-tipped dartboards, Golden Tee, two pinball machines and a digital jukebox. They used to have domestic buckets of six beers for $10, but the price has been raised to $11. It's a great spot to bring your friends but if you've had a few too many and need to call a cab, I'd suggest calling Blue Cab. Given the odd location on 33 in Upper Arlington, it once took Yellow Cab and Bobcat over 1+ hours to pick us up. Blue has been the only reliable cab company we could get to show up.

A dark and grubby bar with a crazy loud jukebox, cranky bartenders and a rough crowd that all smell like cigarettes. Really awful.

The service was attentive and friendly, and the place had a lively--if rather noisy--atmosphere. The menu offers a huge variety. An odd quirk: wine was available by either 6 oz. or 9 oz. glass, both priced at $2 per ounce for the budget options; higher-end selections, like Cambria Chardonnay, soared to $4 per ounce. We had a few cocktails and wine with our meal. Starters included queso and guacamole with chips ($19), which felt overpriced, and the queso wasn't impressive--salsa would be a better choice. The waitress kindly refilled the chips during our meal. For mains, the roasted chicken ($33) and the prime rib special ($47) were both solid choices. Dessert was a deconstructed cobbler--a berry soup with scattered pie crust flakes. It was a creative take, though sometimes it's preferable for chefs to focus on mastering classic, well-executed dishes rather than chasing lofty accolades. The total bill for two, including tip and taxes, came to $280

My server was great. The place is really lovely and I like there is now a parking garage just steps away. I started with a specialty sip cocktail - an Orange Cinnamon Bun Old Fashioned, and ordered 3 apps since they were half-priced for happy hour. The Biscuits for a Cause (2 with butter, jam and honey), Fried Pickles (chips with ranch), and Famous Fried Green Tomatoes (I don't normally like goat cheese, but these are served with stone-ground goat cheese grits) were all fabulous and I had plenty to take home after trying all. I had a glass of red blend wine with my entree, which was the Pan-Seared Salmon. My two chosen sides were the mashed potatoes and fried okra. The salmon was perfectly cooked; it was a great dish. I also got the Rosemary & Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes to go to have with my breakfast this morning. The service, food and atmosphere were all very enjoyable. The manager also helped out bringing food, and checking on me. I would return for another meal.

It was an interesting vibe since they were a mix between candle light dinner and sports bar vibes with lots of TVs in the bar area. The ambience was relaxed and chill. The appetizer bread was very soft and went great with the butter. We opted for the salt brined wings as an appetizer with their house sauce. The sauce was not as spicy as expected, but the wings were so crispy and delicious. I also liked how they put the sauce on the bottom so the wings didn't get soggy over time. Being from Buffalo, my wing standards are high, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good they are! The gumbo was also delicious! It had such a rich taste to it, with tender chicken and the flavor was so deep. I thoroughly enjoyed this. The fish dish was tasty and the portion was big as it also came with polenta. I enjoyed the crawfish in the sauce, but the sauce was a bit heavy. The seafood ravioli was a bit of a miss, as it only came with five ravioli and one of them was not stuffed. Our server kindly gave us a whole new dish, which was great service, but I don't think it would be worth the price. Overall the prices are on the higher side but it's a good place for a nice dinner out. I liked the options for Cajun food and would be back to try more options!

There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.
