I'm not sure where the coffee pictures came from because I definitely didn't see a coffee bar when I came to this place. What I did see is every imaginable tool, wood, and hardware I'd ever want to do woodworking. They have special tools, special woods, veneers, European hinges, a wall of router bits and woodworking hardware I don't yet realize I need. I don't write many reviews, but this store is fantastic. I am not a pro, and the staff is extremely helpful every time I come in. They have spent a lot of time answering questions, helping me find what I need, and providing advice. The employees clearly know a lot about woodworking, and yet they are very humble. You will get way better service than a big box store. I've never had a bad experience here and highly recommend it. read more

If you are a woodworker, there are only a couple shops in the Denver area, so chances are you are going to end up at Woodcraft. I personally prefer Rockler to this store (even though this place is much closer to me). I went to Rockler today for a pen kit and got smiling faces, welcoming hellos and offers for help and all around an awesome experience. I went to Woodcraft after that experience and literally had two guys look at me and say NOTHING, offer no help and I ended up walking out w/o being spoken too - after looking around. Service SUCKS here. They do have nice wood from time to time. I like General Finishes and they sell those here, so that is a plus. And it is 1 of 2 spots in the Denver area for the hobby woodworker, so I will be back. Still, they could take a queue from Rockler and get their customer service in order. It could be better. I mean if it even existed it would be better! 3 stars is GENEROUS and it is more for their products than anything else. read more

For a casual hobbyist like me, a place like Woodcraft can get overwhelming. But the friendly staff are more than happy to help and explain things to you. I don't get a feeling that I don't belong because I'm a beginner. They have a great selection, which is why I trek out to Centennial past other shops along the way. My husband is here more than I am, and they remember him and ask about his latest project. Very personalized service. read more

I'm not sure why the other reviewers didn't get good customer service. Maybe it's because I'm female and into this stuff but I have been to this store three times and have always received help. They greet me when I walk in and sometimes I ask for help right away and other times I wait till I have looked around a bit and then come up and ask for help. No...they are not just walking up and down the aisles like at Home Depot but they HAVE been very helpful to me when I've asked. In fact, my first time there I couldn't get the guy to stop talking to me! He really liked the fact that I was wearing flannel, drove a truck, and knew a lot about tools, LOL!! Took me forever to leave the store. He apparently teaches a lot of the woodworking shops and was really trying to get me to take one but they are ridiculously expensive. Good store for stuff you can't find at the big chain hardware stores. Especially for any kind of woodworking. They are also one of the few places that sells the attachments for the Fein tool which I have. I'll be back. read more

This is a great store. It's very light and open and all the times I've been here it's been very busy. There's a book section with free coffee up in one corner and there's chairs in there that you're welcome to sit down and read on. Staff is also very helpful, altho I can tell that if you don't have even a basic understanding of what you want they might have no patience for you. I recently attended a class here and thought the instructor was very good and clear, all the workstations and tools were clean and worked great, and I learned a ton. read more

I'm and a carpenter by trade. The caliber of our projects and our works spans much further than the junk tools and supplies that can be purchased in the big box stores. This place is a wood workers dream, it far surpasses Rockler in most everything from tools to supplies and parts. The staff is excellent! Friendly through the front door and very knowledgeable in all things wood working. They carry excellent tools and items that can only be found in their store unless you want to wait weeks online. I love this place! If your a professional or if your a hobbiest I recommend you stop by this place and give them a shot. read more

Wow. I consider myself a nice and considerate guy. Usually people like me and when I hear a review about bad customer service, it usually doesn't apply to me. Today however, it was different. I entered the store and asked the dude with a mustache if they rip lumber there. The answer was 'No'. I asked if there was anywhere around besides HD that he would know of and the answer was "no". Smug look and not very accommodating. So I left with my wife and said "Okay, Thanks anyway" and not a word back in return. There was an older employee there who tried to make the awkward situation a little less so by saying, "Have a good day!". Thanks for that nicer employee. My wife who is usually very forgiving of people responded with "What a dick" when we left. And indeed he was. Thanks dick! I won't ever shop there again. read more

I've always had a great experience at woodcraft. Their selection is the best in town when it comes to tools, hardware, and finish. It might be a little off the beaten path but worth the trip. It's worth noting that they're one of the few dealers in Denver that carries festool brand tools and accessories. read more

Great selection, a bit impersonal... They had what we needed, and much besides, the shop is large and well laid out... There are shortcomings. It is hard to figure out the layout of the place, aisles were blocked, and although we were offered help, what we got was cursory and rather brusque. Still, it's a very good place to get THAT PARTICULAR tool or fitting, and the displays are clear. Price-wise, Rockler holds with them and I have always found Rockler friendlier, Woodcraft better-stocked. read more

Would be happy to leave no stars, as I was never able to get in there. I've called and talked to someone on 4 different occasions over a week's span. What did I need?? A "Yes" or "No" on if there were any open slots for an open workshop. Literally needed 10 minutes to make a total of 4 cuts. "I'll take your name and number and get back to you in an hour," was the response. All 4 times. Never got a call back. read more

I love that the store gives demo's for how to use their products. The few that I have attended were very well done, well prepared for with handouts and how-to was very thorough and lots of opportunity to ask questions. Good quality products on the shelves as well. read more

I am writing this to let those who may or may not care, know about the terrible treatment the Woodcraft @ 6770 S. Peoria St in Centennial has repeatedly provided. I have NEVER written a something like this but felt inclided to do so after my 4th and last visit to this or any other Woodcraft. I am a novice woodworker that has been very much enjoying building up my tool arsenal, building my shop, working on projects and learning everything I can. When I discovered there was a Woodcraft close by, I eagerly paid a visit. I immediately went right to the large tools. I ended up being there for 45 minutes with 2 other customers in the whole store and not a single acknowledgment from 3 sales reps standing at the front counter talking about a fishing trip. I had to seek one of their assistance and felt like I had to rip him away from his backpropped against the sales counter position. Every question I had about a very nice Jet Table saw was responded too in short curt answers and made me feel like a complete idiot. Maybe it was just a bad day for him I thought. So I ended up just picking up a couple woodworking books and went on my way. (I later purchased the same model # online from a competitor) My 2nd and 3rd trip to the store was nothing better than the first. Both times I had to hunt someone down and then receive the same treatment. Different sales people each time. Both of those times I walked out and sought my supplies and dumb questions elsewhere. My 4th trip was the worst of all. I am not even sure why I went back to begin with. I guess I thought maybe it would be better. Not at all. I went to look at some stock and other supplies for a project . THIS time I did not have to hunt someone down, this guy actually walked past me, turned around and stared at me. I stared back and said 'Hello do you work here?' His first words were 'No I wear this shirt for fun.' I shrugged it off and asked him if he had a specific sized piece of stock. Before I could finish the dimensions, he interrupted me and informed me that people that purchase wood at that store have their own tools to resize wood. I was astonished. That will be my last visit to the store. One of my friends told before I went for the first time that their service was terrible. I thought maybe it was just him because he is kind of a moody guy. I told him about my experiences and he gave me a big 'I told you so'. I told my family members and every single friend that owns a tool as well. I have never in my life complained about poor treatment or customer service from a retail outlet. After these repeated visits and making me feel like a complete idiot, I decided to do just that. read more

My husband and I have been purchasing from this store for the duration of our remodel project. Twice my husband has asked me to make a stop at the store for paint. The first time I was super impressed with the customer service. 1 Star only because 0 is not available. I work for a large cabinet shop in the area and have been in the woodworking industry for almost 30 years. I have been to the Loveland, Colorado store multiple times over the last few months to look for and purchase items for my home shop. Each time I have been there, even the times I wear a company t-shirt, I have been treated as a novice. This past Saturday, while wearing a company shirt, I tried to return a lathe that has serious quality issues (Rikon by the way, never buy Rikon products!) and the first question asked by the sales person at the counter was, "Are you sure you have the right size lathe for what you are trying to do?" I was then informed that even though my receipt says I can return this item for up to 90 days that they will not accept a return without manufacturer approval. Seriously? The sales staff, at least at this store, are the most snobbish individuals I have encountered at any store, anywhere, ever. I will never set foot inside another Woodcraft store. And all the people I know in the woodworking industry will hear this as well. Save yourselves some money and a bad experience. Shop elsewhere. And, oh yes, never buy a Rikon product. read more
