The people at this store were friendly and most helpful. They helped me figure out a fix for a broken filing cabinet drawer that Lowe's, Home Depot, or Hobby Lobby were not able to help me with. read more

This used to be 5 stars but it doesn't take much to ruin it. Some of the nicest most helpful people and one of the most hostile people I have ever met. I have spent several thousand dollars a year at this store over the past decade. I placed a featherweight 2 inch by 2 inch box with a tiny light bulb in it on the stainless steel side table of a display grill while I bent over to tie my shoe. I was absolutely skewered and belittled in front of the whole store by an "older" woman working there yelling that I was damaging their property. I thought she was joking and laughed it off until she kept going treating me like a hoodlum. There were six other employees around and none asked her to calm down which I found really strange. I walked out the door and have been too traumatized to return. This was my second bizarre run in with this employee. I now give all my business to Cherry Creek Ace. Too bad. read more

I always know when Im in a Ace Hardware, They have a specific smell, maybe because of all the pet food, lawn fertilizer, household cleaners and other stuff being in such close proximity to each other. The employees were friendly and greeted me as I entered and also asked if I needed assistance while I was shopping. The store was very clean and organized, almost to a level of meticulousness. I was able to find what I came in for and the check out cashier was fast and friendly. Even though this store is in a big city, it still has the small town country feel. read more

Called ahead to see if they had the Black and Decker electric screwdriver. They did. Drove right over. They had ALREADY PLACED THE ITEM ON HOLD for me. What lovely customer service. read more

We needed a key made quickly and buy a couple of key chains. Ace was perfect. Upon entering the store, the cashier asked if we needed help finding anything. She directed us to the key kiosk in the back. While there, they made a key in a jiffy and had lots of key chain options. When we brought the key home, it worked like a charm. No adjustments were required. They also had an eyeglass repair kit that my husband had wanted and kept forgetting to purchase. In an age of large stores like Home Depot or Lowe's, sometimes it is nice to simply go into a hardware store for prompt, attentive and competent service. Ace is just the spot. read more

Rude employee is over the top hostile towards customers. I had an incident and let it go. Then, my friend had an even worse experience and I'm posting this now. I'll never be back to this store because even the manager, who received the complaint, dismissed us as if we were worthless. Left $100 of merchandise in the cart for them to put back because they were jerks. Good riddance. read more

Came for tools, left with a dog toy. A little backstory: I went to the Target next door to buy a Phillips, and they were completely sold out. 99cents at target -- $5.99 for the cheapest one at Ace. Youch! While waiting to check out, I spotted a rack of dog toys (Huh? Dog toys at a small hardware store?) All of them were 99cents! How could anyone resist? It's perfect, considering my dog thinks all toys are a buck (ie they are lovingly disassembled within hours). :) Were it not for making my kiddo with a tail happy, I would probably give 1 star. At least I'm writing this from my IKEA table (which I was trying to screw together with just my hands earlier). Thanks, overpriced screwdriver! read more

They also recycle light bulbs and batteries--just hand it to them and they will take care of the rest. Sign up for their Rewards Program to get specials and discounts. I walked in yesterday and saw a young man loading bags of soil outside and he immediately said hello through the fence. When I asked him for help he stopped working with a smile and asked how he could help. He not only walked me around the entire store since I had many items to find, he gave me recommendations on items as well. I asked his name and he proudly said Miles Bishop. He was helpful and very considerate. As I left another young man named Jordan, who has helped me before, told me to have a great day as well. Everyone is great at this Ace. Thanks read more

I came in looking for a screw for my wife's scooter that I could not find anywhere online & did not expect such excellent customer service provided by Josh! He went above and beyond, even took a look at my scooter to help me find the exact screw I needed. Chuck was awesome! He stopped doing what he was doing and escorted me to the air filters, found the one I needed. He even double checked my numbers. He offered a little education on filters too! He was very pleasant, well spoken, and knowledgeable. Best of all my pup loved him. Chuck also informed me there were puppy treats waiting for us at the counter, and he was right! My puppers and I had a most pleasant experience at Tamarac Square Ace Hardware. Thank you so much Chuck. I greatly appreciate your friendly professionalism. The customer service I received can not be beat! read more

The staff was quick to help white customers only.. I stood in front of 6 employees who where available and asked for help and I was ignored my whole visit. One white person came in and was immediately asked if she needed help and they proceeded to walk her over to her section. While I was just pointed over to an isle.. read more

Ace is TRULY the place with the helpful hardware folks!! I got there yesterday just before closing time and they were still so happy to help and didn't mind that I was coming in last minute. I was trying to find pieces to replace some ikea parts that I had lost, and they knew exactly what I was talking about and found it for me right away!! Now instead of having to buy a whole set of parts on amazon, I was able to just ask these awesome people and only spend about $4. Also they loved my dog and gave him a treat when we left. You seriously can't beat that!! read more

I needed keys made for a home. The two keys didn't work and unfortunately I didn't have the original. I had to drive 300 miles just to get inside the house. I went back to this store for a refund and have someone else make two more keys. I did speak to the manager on duty to let him know what had happened. He was very rude and said, "it happens that keys don't work".. I took the new keys with me, and the original, to make sure they would work. Guess what, both new keys didn't work again!! From now on what my needs may be, I will never use this Ace Hardware again!! The bottom line, they really don't care about the customer. read more

Great service! As a wheelchair user I lost a screw in my small wheel. I was nervous about going in the store to find a replacement without my wheel falling off. Employee Tor came to my van and got the pieces I needed to be safe to roll! Thank you so much!!! read more

I think someone hit my car at this establishment my car was parked in the first parking spot right in front of the doors. I asked the owner to review video on the date and certain times between I know I was there. I've bought multiple items from this store on numerous occasions. She told me her time is to valuable for her to even check for a customer. She refused to even try I can understand if it was in the back so her time Is more valuable than her customers... stay away from this store no help along as u huy from her store she won't help she jus wants your money !!!!! read more

This store is great! Very friendly and Helpful Staff. Jimmy the Locksmith is superb, very competent and skilled. I've take several locks for re-keying, some with no key. No Problem.... very skilled. Thanks. Great customer service. Love this store. read more

I love this place. I bought an electric lawn mower (Ego) and couldn't figure out why the blades wouldn't turn. I took it back to Ace. A manager (guy with black hair and very cool) offered to call the owner. Turns out it was a simple fix. I was really impressed. The mower works perfectly. Ace at Tamarac, you guys rock. Home depot can suck it. We will be back. I'm sorry i don't remember the guy who helped me, but he was a freakin' rock star read more

This Ace Hardware is ran very well. I needed to have some locks rekeyed and I called several other Ace locations and they wouldn't do it on the weekend. Teo was so professional and Jimmy was great at rekeying for me fast and accurate. Good job Ace Tamarac! read more

Where else can you purchase cow manure to make explosives, and then mail it from the same facility? Ace is the place! That's the real magic of this place, and probably one of the main reasons I frequent this store so much... it's the post office! I recently went in for an actual hardware need, and the staff are extremely friendly. They always say hi just passing you by, and they'll help you find exactly what you're looking for. read more

I decided to go into this Ace today to kill some time while I waited on my Chinese food from next door. Instantly a guy who works there (skinny geeky guy with awful bleached tips in his hair) greeted me. Then as I walked through the store, I kept feeling like somebody was watching me, and I'd keep turning around to see him staring at me. This kept happening as I weaved in and out of the whole store, he just kept following me! Then again he asked me if I needed help and again I told him I'm just looking around. As I exited the store he followed me right up to the door. If it hadn't been for another customer asking him a question at that moment, he probably would've followed me to China Beijing next door. What a creepy bastard! I dunno if he thought I was gonna steal something or he's just a gay pervert or what. Not cool. Will not be returning, except maybe to confront him about it. read more

There were six people standing at the front desk area. Despite that, I still had to raise my voice to ask for help. All I needed was some propane, and they do not offer it at this location. No problem! I got directions to a location that has it. It looks to me like they need less help and better help. Less talking and more doing. I understand a location not being able to offer every service, but, I want a one stop shop! I want to get whatever I need done - DONE. This is just another reason why I avoid this imitation home improvement/hardware stores. read more

Competent staff, easy interactions. One staff member is a retired master plumber who was a big help. Also: store is large and well-stocked. read more

I come in here a lot because it's the nearest hardware store to my house. I'm a grown woman who owns her own home and I'm learning how to do a lot of home repairs myself. Most of the time I already know exactly what I need and I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Other times, I may not know exactly what item would be best. The attitudes of the men who work here are a mixed bag. Sometimes the man who happens to help me is wonderfully nice and helpful However, some of the men are cocky, impatient, and make me feel like I have no business in there. The women at the cash registers are always nice and friendly. read more

I've been to this location more times than I can count. They have a very nice staff, eager to help, polite, professional, and they seem to actually care about helping me get projects done. Everyone from the floor staff to the cashiers have a smile and genuinely seem to care, which is always nice. Good selection of overall hardware products for most projects. Some of their items are a bit pricier, but not a crazy rip-off or anything by any means. Just go elsewhere for some items, not a big deal. Good location. read more

This Ace Hardware is the best! We are constantly running in there for random things that we need, and someone is always right there to ask if we need help. I also go in there alone a lot, and as a woman, I often have no idea what I need, so I'll go in there with random parts (like a bike shoe and a clip in pedal that I needed to change out) and ask for help, and EVERYONE has been nothing but extremely professional and helpful. They have never made me feel stupid, even when I call things the wrong name or ask silly questions. They always take their time and they try to find you the most cost efficient solution, which I really appreciate. They also always wear masks and have a full plexiglass divider installed to separate the cashiers from the customers, which helps make me feel safe during these COVID times. After so many good encounters, I wanted to post a review to make sure they got the recognition they deserved! read more

Came in today with a broken deadbolt Kwickset lock. I was hoping to either get it fixed or to replace the deadbolt and have it re-keyed. I was helped within moments and the locksmith working today fixed it for me in about 5 minutes, and charged me a measly $5. Grateful for the help and affordability midst of the pandemic. Thanks Ace! read more

I'm surprised this store doesn't have a higher rating. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than you'd see at a Home Depot or Lowe's, but the trade off is that this Ace store has outstanding customer service. The staff is genuinely knowledgeable about the stock and the products, can spend more than two seconds with you to answer questions, and has experience actually using the stuff for sale, so can make a true firsthand recommendation. Usually you can't even *find* a person working in a big-box DIY store, let alone get ample help. The other upside is that the quality of the tools (power and hand) I've bought here tends to be much better than stuff from Lowe's and Home Depot. There's a reason for this: HD and Lowe's have brand-name tool companies make special, cheaper, lower-quality items to stock their shelves. read more

ACE tends to be more specialty then big box home improvement. Prices are slightly higher here that at Home Depot and Lowes, however, sometimes you will find it easier to get parts or hardware here then at a big box store. I always keep my eye out for coupons as they can be helpful, but mainly this place is for those weird unique screws, knife sharpening, keys and locks. In the spring with a coupon, this might be a good place for garden supplies. read more

Very helpful staff. I never hit a crowd Unless it's on the Free Paint Saturday. I also get assistance since I'm not the Jack of All Trades that knows where to find most of the stuff I'm looking for. I never feel rushed and the staff is never in a hurry which, I guess, depending on who you are, could be annoying. It doesn't annoy me though. read more

This place is horrible. They're employees are rude and only helpful if you're a man. I've come in with my husband on numerous occasions and everytime I felt as if I was being talked down to, that's if they talked to me, they seem gravitate toward the man and ask what he needs help with. The last time I went there I went in with my daughter. We were met out front by an employee smoking, Sheldon, this was after he left the liqour store and stuffed shooters in his pockets. He was not considerate of where he was blowing his smoke or that there was a child around him whatsoever. My husband refuses to ask Jimmy for help because he's always met with attitude and the feeling of being bothersom. We also will let people go ahead of us in line to get a different csshier if Tara is working on the register so we don't have to listen to her scoffs and sighs when our child asks for candy or juice. There are some good employees though: Joanna is amazing as well as the blonde who used to work there. Mike and Tony are always helpful and Ian (I think is his name?) Is a joy to be around as well. read more

My "go-to" place. Everything I usually need one of. Nuts, bolts, keys, etc... Good selection. Friendly, helpful, when you want them.

Consistently the customer service at this store is lacking. My last experience however was the worst. I took an old window screen in to have it replaced. It took 2 months and 2 trips (they had the old screen as a template and still managed to cut it 1/4" too short) to complete. To top it off, they never bothered to call me to tell me when my 2nd screen was finally finished. When I picked the screen up in person, no one bothered to apologize or explain what had happened. To top it all off a smug older man pushing a broom yelled me as I was leaving the store "you gonna pay for those?" It really was like being in a bizarre episode of the twilight zone. Next time I need something, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

This is one of the best experiences I've ever had! Not only did they have the tools I need but employee "Jimmy" and employee "Tony"even after the doors were closed helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I had stripped screws in my bike carburetor and on the box where I needed to reload brake fluid and it was causing wear and tear to my new item... I spent the whole day before at Home Depot and $116 on items I didn't even need not to mention I got no help to the degree of finding something that I could have found myself but it still was of no use to me!SO needless to say UNLESS I have to go there Home Depot I is OFF my list and ACE HARDWARE is my NUMBER ONE STORE!if you ever need advice or help with ANYTHING HARDWARE RELATED go to ACE HARDWARE it's the HOME away from HOME store where the friendly witty employ. will treat you with RESPECT and with SINCERITY! # EVERY HARDWARE STORE SHOULD BE AN "Ace Hardware Store"! THANKS GUYS YOU ROCK! read more

As a longtime rewards member ACE Hardware I have shopped at this Ace for 30+ years as the employees are generally helpful and knowable. That was not the case today. Prices are often higher than Home Depot or Lowes but generally the service and convenience make up for it. I purchased 3, 25 packs of Holiday light clips on close out yesterday and went home on put up the lights. I also had a 50 pack left from last year. This morning all of the clips and lights had fallen off the walls that were purchased from Ace. The lights put up with the 50 pack were still in place on the wall. When I went see what options there were I was told no refunds on close out items and if I wanted to go home and remove the 75 clips and bring them back they would then replace them. The clips take a lot of time to put the backing on each clip. Going home and taking the time to remove each of the 75 clips and bring them back to the store seemed absurd. Replacing something with more from the same batch of product also seems a recipe for failure. Perhaps if the clips were doubled and put on every 4" instead of every 8" the lights might have stayed up on the wall. This business has lost a long time customer over $7.50 and the inability to try to work out any type of reasonable solution. read more

I am all about staying away from the big box stores and helping out the "small guy". Fact of the matter is this place just doesnt care, there is no help! I have been there multiple times and never get service. Now, this is not as important if I am looking for something (wander around and eventually you find it), but if you need a service, like a key copied, in the middle a weekday, and you wait 20 stinkin' minutes and still nobody helps. Well, that is too much. Off to the big box store.... read more

This store has usually what you need, but the attitudes of the employees are just out of this world, and they are quite pricey.
