Food here is fresh and it also has a sushi bar, which not many Chinese buffets have. The main reason I came to this one is for that, but was pleasantly surprised that their main Chinese dishes were fresh and flavorful. Sushi was great! I used to come here all the time before they reopened as woochi. I miss the old super eastern Chinese buffet. It was my absolutely favorite Chinese buffet and I'd come here with friends all the time. Since it's become woochi. The decor is just awful. There's a horrible fishy smell that stinks up the place and the food options are similar enough but idk something has changed it's not the same. I wish they never would have closed downed and remodeled. I don't know if it's new management or what. I might try it again soon hopefully I change my impression on the place. I have been to other buffets with similar foods and found this one to be fresh and hot. Place is a bit small and walking back from the foods there is only enough room for one person to walk between tables. One bad thing I noticed is their women's bathroom smells very bad of sewer gases backing up. There are car air fresheners on the running vents. Had to laugh at that display of genius. Sorry it doesn't help. Still smells so bad you really think your going to pass out. read more

They ration the crab legs. 4 people have been waiting for 20 min. When they do being them out they dump 20 legs...there are 75 people in here. One of the cooks tells my son he already had enough and walked away. read more

My workout buddy and I usually go here every Saturday at 11AM as part of a workout tradition. Unfortunately, today will be the last time. While getting food at the buffet, cockroaches came out of the kitchen and ran under the buffet bar where they keep most of the hot meats. We said something to the wait staff and manager. A staff person just stepped on it and kicked it under the buffet with her foot. The manager said it was due to doing inspections on the buffet bar the night before and this sometimes happens. I am sorry, but cockroaches in a restaurant is a disgusting deal breaker and I will never be back. read more

i ate here last night and i complained on the manager but she dont know how to handle a problem and she needs to learn how to serve a good customer service even the servers this is my first time to eat here at woochi super buffet But i was so dissapointed the reason why i chose this because it's new and i heard they have a good seafoods but unfortunately you need to wait for crab legs for 20mins and when i observe they only refill crab legs good for two people and I told them that their squid is garbage and need to replace it but the waitress don't care and give me mad face i was so disappointed they need to understand that a buffet is unlimited not limited i think they don't want to serve crab legs I will share photos for you guys even the beef barbecue is dry the sushi its sucks the fish are frozen and you can see the texture of the fish specially the salmon they have a bad smell and the sweet and sour soup is not the authentic. my brother told me to don't give them a tip but i still give them a tip and remind them that they need to learn how to listen to the complain of the customer and they need to understand that if its a buffet its unlimited not ala carte coz i saw people waiting for crab legs for long time in front of the door of their kitchen they need to be sensitive for what the customer wants. Well -- that was quick.... I wrote my review for Woo Chi in March of this year. We'd had a pretty good experiences there after the remodel and up to that time. Since then it has already gone down-hill FAST! We started noticing that the entrees were not kept warm -- and would often be cold by the time we got to the table. And ALL the chicken in every chicken entree was dry and over-cooked and very chewy -- sometimes we wondered if Woo Chi was putting out food from the day before and just microwaving it and putting it back out. Lastly I love putting hot mustard on their egg-rolls. The mustard used to be HOT but now it is not hot at all -- like they're stretching it with something that isn't hot mustard. Anyway -- after all this happening 3 or 4 times in a row -- the last time we went we both agreed would be our last -- until they're under new management or remodel again etc. BTW -- the staff there are generally friendly and nice -- so it's sad to see the place take a dive so soon. --------------------------- 3/9/2017: We used to go here when it was Eastern Buffet and now have been a couple of times since the remodel. Everything I've tried so far is pretty good (an improvement over when it was Eastern)--and the buffet tables are always kept well stocked. I haven't tried the Mongolian BBQ--so I can't comment on that. The staff is reasonably friendly and the waitresses/waiters are generally attentive--or fairly easy to flag down if you need something. We've only been for dinner so far and it has become a lot more expensive (I think it's $14.95 per person). I considered giving Woo Chi 3 Stars for that price--but decided the food was good enough to raise that to 4. We'll give lunch a try soon and see if that makes it more affordable--and will update then. read more

For an Asian buffet in the middle of the desert I was pleasantly surprised. Myf favorite part was the sushi was fresh and delicious. The variety of shrimp is sure to please most shrimp lovers. And the dessert lovers should not be disappointed with the chocolate fountain, fresh fruit, cookies, cakes and more. My only wish is for them to serve pad Thai and Japanese katsu. Very disappointed, went to dinner with the family expecting to have crab legs and instead had to wait 15-20 min with others for a small portion. Was only able to have the 1 plate. Spoke with the manager and was told they only have small pots to cook with. When the kitchen door opened I seen a big wok they could easily make lots of crab legs. This is the best buffet in Mesa. My daughter and i eat here at least once a month and the food is amazing. the tables and decor creates a great atmosphere and minus a couple of the workers everyone is very nice. This is a very clean kind of upscale Chinese buffet, food was better than most Chinese buffets, not so generic. Hostess was kind of a dick, he said he would seat us and never did... a waitress instead did, after asking to be be seated. Our waitress rocked! Very good with keeping our table clean of plates and getting refills. Very recommendable. read more

This Buffet is so good. We hadn't been as before it was bought and renovated it was a Chinese Buffet but it was NOT good, it even had good violations ... so we were reluctant to try WooChi's. It was a great surprise to us that the food at Woochi's is excellent and it's constantly being refilled and the quality is very good. The restaurant and washroom are clean as well. The selection of dishes are many and the sushi bar is great, the grill is an added bonus and very good and the dessert bar is awesome. You will be happy if you choose the Buffet, it will NOT disappoint. Prices are decent and they will give 10% for seniors or if you're lucky enough to get coupons in a newspapers you get 15%. As you enter you can smell like sewage; because I wanted to try other buffet place I ignored my instinct. Hoping that the food would be tasty; wrong, their food has been in the heating pan for hours that it dried out majority of their menu. To me Hibachi is still the top food is fresh and tasty and clean. read more
