Complaint Against: Wondries Toyota 1439 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801 I purchased a brand new Toyota in June 2023 from Toyota of Glendale and have been a loyal customer returning for all three years of complimentary service. I recently moved and chose Wondries Toyota as my nearest dealership after all four of my tires were stolen from my home. My service manager Danny was professional and communicative throughout the process, and I appreciated his responsiveness. However, when I picked up my vehicle on Friday, May 1st, my car was covered in white paste. I immediately asked if my rims were scratched and was told no. The following Wednesday I washed my car and discovered that all four rims were chipped and scratched with metal peeling off -- damage that was not present when I dropped off my vehicle. My insurance paid this dealership $6,000 in labor for this service. When I contacted the dealership, rather than taking responsibility and ordering replacement rims, they proposed sending my vehicle to a third party repair shop which would take a week. As a college student currently in finals week, I cannot be without my vehicle to attend my exams. I proposed a reasonable solution bring my car in, order new rims overnight, and install them the following day but they refused. Chipped metal cannot simply be refinished these rims need to be replaced. This dealership damaged my property while in their care and is refusing to provide a timely, adequate resolution.

Update to add: I called the number many times throughout the week per response below but no answer, no returned calls, just nothing... I will have to take time off work to go speak to Chris R in person if he's even on site. ZERO STARS Having the most frustrating experiences with this Alhambra Toyota! My daughter and I were shopping for her first car and signed for a Certified used car- KIA K5 at Wonderies. Then we had many line list issues, starting off with only one key fob - seems to be the norma for used KIA so we let that go and will pay for our own 2nd key outside. Then came the dash sign on screen & Car Play - it's still freakn registered to the original owner and we can't override that. Toyota brushed their hands off at us and told us to contact KIA. After months of back and forth, we just didn't care anymore, the car is still named after the original owner so whatever. Now we paid off the car in few months, and the title paperwork took forever claiming paperwork got lost- been almost a year and I guess we will go to the DMV to request a new copy ourselves. Next problem: I paid extra for the extended car services/protection and Wonderies Toyota call me to make the first maintenance appointment. I show up and they said we don't service KIA.... then why did you call me knowing the make and model of my car???!! Ok I get this, but you made the appointment with me and even confirmed this bc my car is on your database. WHY would you play us like this? Bigger issue is that now the KIA Alhambra is closed so we have to drive to Glendale or Covina, but they don't recognize the extended services that I purchased for additional $3500 at Wonderies! I'm so frustrated and I feel ripped off and betrayed; I'm just so helpless right now, I'm beyond angry. He even said that other KIA may not take the extended plan, but you can fight it by calling the 800 number (seriously). The rep said if they don't take the extended protection - they can refund me the prorated portion I didn't use - I DIDN'T USE ANY OF IT SO IT SHOULD BE REFUNDED IN FULL. To make matters worse - there's a recall on a part that was listed before my sale date that they failed to fix before selling the car. I am seriously so frustrated - I want to cry for my mistake of trusting them! The KIA itself is a great car, but all these issues from Toyota make me resent this purchase and I felt I wasted so much time, energy, and money... And even felt anxiety. 1. One key 2. Car dash screen and CarPlay still reg to original owner 3. Run around for service protection plan - 4. A recall that Toyota failed to repair before the sale. To be continue because I'm still dealing with this issue about who dropped the ball on these promised services. I knew whole heartedly, I should've gone to LONGO. Their honesty, communication, lack of knowledge on their "certified" used cars, service training is miserable like another reviewer wrote.

We had a great experience working with Nathan Reyes. He was dedicated to helping us get a car, very well-mannered, and gave us a great deal. Despite the mistakes made by management, he continued to try and make it work.

ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't go to this dealership the will have you waiting for HOURS EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT brought my car in for regular maintenance my appointment was at 7:45 it's currently 12:22 and i'm still here ! i have my 1 year old daughter with me which is why i made the appointment early morning and it's more 4+ HOURS. This is not the first time they have had me waiting for hours and i keep coming back thinking they will be quicker this time around, not to mention i've been trying to get through to someone to call and complain and i've been on hold for over ten minutes already!

First, this dealership had been wonderful and excellent in servicing my previous 2014 Prius Plug-in. I still remember how my service advisor Di Wu being awesome and the other guy (forgot your name, sorry but you were also awesome, I saw you behind your table earlier as I was pulling into stop) . I can't believe I am doing this. The website accepted the appointment using the VIN of my 2014 RX350. Went there today. I was told they don't work on Lexus. I asked if he is sure. He mentioned ALL Toyota dealers do not work on Lexus. I let it go since I know some Toyota dealers works on Lexus not just the major repairs and recalls. I asked how to exit the queue on the service line since there is already a parked vehicle behind. I was directed to move forward then make a u-turn. The service guy move the vehicle that was parked in front then made a left turn to make space for my u-turn. I shift the gear to drive while looking on the right since there was a parked sedan, all was clear. As I was making a right u-turn, one of their service staff inside that sedan honked at me. His eyes was telling me, "What are you doing?" While staring at me. I was like, "What?!?!" He was the one not being situationally aware while inside the customer's sedan's cockpit. He just set the sedan in drive them moved forward without looking that my RX350 is already initiating a right u-turn. I don't know but it seems the quality dropped on their service staff. Back then it was awesome. Even the ones attending the service area were awesome people. Is it DEI? Is it buddy system that ruin them in terms of hiring quality people? I don't know. But I do know the quality of service on the service staff attending the service area dropped. Sorry service advisor Di Wu and the other service advisor who I forgot the name for the 1 star review on your department.

I showed him the same text messages, and without questioning me or making things difficult, he immediately took care of everything. He got my car checked in right away, arranged a ride home, and made the whole process smooth and efficient. Technology issues happen, and I understand mistakes can be made but how they're handled matters. Eric handled it perfectly. What started off as a frustrating situation turned into a great experience because of him. I've been coming here for years and have seen a lot of staff come and go, but employees like Eric make a big difference. If I were management, I'd make sure to keep him he's a huge asset.

I was quoted an additional bogus $300 fee for key "programming" that, as I later confirmed with 4 other BMW dealerships, was never actually required for the replacement parts I ordered. The charge felt completely unjustified and, frankly unprofessional, as well as misleading. When I questioned it, I was met with unjustified resistance rather than a clear explanation and stalling. The representative I dealt with, Angela, had an off-putting tone and demeanor from the start. She made me wait without any communication and handled the interaction in a way that felt dismissive. Most concerning, she kept my sensitive documents longer than necessary--documents that she definitely she should have handed back herself. There was no apology or even a simple excuse-yourself moment, which added to the overall sense of unprofessionalism. Overall, the experience left me feeling uneasy and undervalued as a customer. I expect transparency and professionalism when dealing with a brand like BMW, and unfortunately, this interaction fell well short of that standard. I'd recommend atleast getting a better estimate for your Parts at Century NoHo BMW or Los Angeles BMW. Buyer's Beware!

But I recently got a new-to-me Honda and wanted to get the CVT fluid changed since I don't know when it was last changed. I called Goudy for a price on this service, and it was quite reasonable. Of course I could probably do it myself for a lot cheaper, but I hadn't had a chance to know my car well enough to take on this job. Since they were a block away from me, I thought I'd give them a try. It was my first time using Goudy and Daniel Tieu was the first service advisor who assisted me. Fortunately I remember reading a positive review about him somewhere on Yelp or Google reviews, so that was reassuring. The service was timely and Daniel said everything checked out okay on their multipoint inspection (brakes, battery, tires, etc.) and didn't try to sell me on any other service. We all know that the car repair industry has a bad reputation for upselling or insisting that something needs to be fixed now or else it's going to catastrophically fail the moment you leave the shop. My experience on my first visit was a positive one. While I might have paid a bit more compared to an indie shop, I know I got genuine Honda parts and their techs are well versed on Honda maintenance and I assume know what they're doing. (I know that's not always the case, as I've heard about bad dealer service experience). I should also note that they have a nice waiting area. Nothing fancy, as in no fancy coffees or pastries. Just a quiet area (at least when I was there) away from the sales floor. I could have walked home, but I decided to stick around and read a book I had with me. It wasn't long when I got a call that my car was ready.

I even switched car color and he was still very cool about it. Joe was extremely professionally, knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciated that he kept his word. Not a cent more was added to the quote after my credit was ran. My APR turned out wonderful too (I guess my credit score helped with that). I was then greeted by Jose, their finance manager, who also explained everything very clearly for me. He didn't try and sell me on GAP insurance bc I gave a high enough down payment. He said I didn't need it. Most other places would have tried to sell everything they could. So I really appreciated that. I love my brand new Kia K4 EX! I highly recommend Kia of Alhambra. I will be returning when I'm ready for my next purchase! I'll also be recommending friends and family!

Then showed me a DEMO car that had tears in the leather (not a tear- a chunk of leather from a vehicle with 12,000 miles), and chips in the paint AND had been in an accident and wouldn't budge on the price. Oh, not to mention they lie on the listing that it has 4k miles. It has almost TRIPLE that . Lol listed on car fax at 12k miles, but differently on their website. Go figure. Wasted my time coming from San Diego to work with them. Their loss. Was in and out within 10 minutes because their inability to work on a car that has been listed for over 6 weeks with no buyers. Their car clearly has poor resale value and on a Labor Day weekend. When it's still on the market in a week, feel free to call me when you drop it a few a thousand. And feel free to ship it to San Diego since I won't be wasting my time driving all the way up to Alhambra. Immediately went back to GMC Tustin and gave them money for a different and better Telluride. FOR LESS than what they offered here.
