i'm not a fan of buffets period. but this place really surprised me.. soo you know what to normally expect from a chinese buffet they are all pretty much the same.. buncha variety but u take 2 bites of this and 2 bites of that and your full and u don't really understand what u even ate.. plus the food will usually taste artificial especially the sushi! but not at this restaurant! i was amazed everything i ate was pretty damn good the sushi actually tastes like sushi, the rice tastes like real rice the meat actually tasted like real meat! and i know i'm sounding annoying but for a buffet you never get that! u usually always get fake tasting junk. but not here this place was greattt the staff was also so quick and friendly. i recommend this place! for a buffet these guys are doing it right ! read more

I was with a group of four senior citizens and when we got our shared bill we noticed they didn't receive a discount on their food. The teriyaki/soy chicken was also a standout and overall the food was appetizing, they had Sriracha bottles everywhere which is a must for me too, like it spicy. The worst terrible restaurant ever.... She(seems to be a owner) is very rude and atmosphere and also floor is very dirty. Specially when we walk near sushi bar inside of restaurant, we were hard to breathe because of bad smell from the dirty wet kitchen cloths. Because of that smell, we couldn't finish our food. Also, food is never turn over! It took 30 minutes for each food refills and it's gone within few minutes because everyone waiting for food!!!! Then we had to wait another 20-30 minutes for new food. I personally didn't like spending 20$ on food that made me sick later that evening. The staff was nice, but when I ordered a Merlot they gave me Pinot Grigio... Their drink menu was.... hard to read. I'm not usually a fan of buffets, but this place is a regular spot for me when I want Chinese food, it's noticably fresher than other buffets and I get a couple take out boxes at least once every two weeks, it's not the best I've had but for a buffet I really enjoy it. I think they may have over exaggerating the "wonderful" part. Yes it is a buffet. I'm a person who typically despises buffets, so I decided to get past my phobia and loathing and get adventurous. Most of the negative reviews are spot on. I'm sorry I didn't listen to the wise reviewers on this one! Food was over all underwhelming, causing slight nausea within about 10 min into consumption, and the people who work there looked so miserable, we had to wonder if they were being held captive and forced into slave labor. I really like this buffet. In my opinion, it has plenty of choices, the food is tasty, and the service is pretty good considering how many people are usually here. Every once in a while, I'll get to my table, take a bite of chicken (or something), and it is a little cold, but most of the time the food is at a good temperature. The young waiters were eager to please and had us seated in a jiffy. We found all the food tasty to delicious and enjoyed a small amount of all the selection. The prices are reasonable (approx. $11 plus 10% senior discount). Coming right quick to the reason for the one star after all the accolades: I became violently ill (...in Mexico we called it Montezuma's revenge) within a half hour. I want to like this place, but a few things have put a dampener on continuing the relationship. One experience was finding a piece of stainless scouring pad inside the deep fried breading of a chicken leg. I showed it to the (owner family member?) and they explained with no apology that they use those to clean chickens with? No free meal offered -LOL the other thing was I noticed the sushi cook one day bend down a wolf a large chunk of tuna at his work station, this is a known NO NO in the food industry, and he looked like a sleazy crook from that point on to me, I just couldn't get that ugly thought out of my head. Just wanted to warn you if you do go to wonderful buffet be careful if something goes wrong and you have a poisoning from them they talk to you and treat you stupid. And they tell you you have to go to the doctors and have a detailed report printed out so they can see it and you have to have. They also want the exact day time and your receipt. This is the first restaurant that I have ever ever dealt with this so be very very careful the day that I did go there they had an ambulance and three people were throwing up in the bathroom. read more

I wouldn't call this place wonderful, however, you can get a lot of food for cheap. Extremely low quality but an easy fill for the long road ahead especially if you're on a road trip to Seattle. The onion rings here were amazingly well-formed, symmetrical and neat. Delicious too, I was tempted to get a 2nd plate of onion rings only. Obviously, we didn't go here for onion rings so you can decide for yourself if that's horrific considering it's a Chinese-food oriented establishment. The interior design is pleasant enough and I appreciated the ceiling decorations throughout. We went here during lunch and it was packed. The way the tables are arranged, you will be in relatively close proximity to people. We were seated at a booth on the outer parts of the room so it wasn't much of an issue for us. On that note, walking by the tables, it felt like we were joining some kind of feasting and were late arrivals. If you are a big eater and don't want to pay a fortune then Wonderful might be for you. This place offers mainly Chinese and Japanese dishes. For 14$ on weekends all day, you can eat until you pass out. Food ranges from salad bar, soups, gyozas, breads, roast beef, seafood items, vegetables, specialty dishes, breaded shrimp, fried frog legs(yep), sushi bar, dessert like pastries & fruits, ice-cream, jello etc. Some of my favorite are: fried prawns, oyster motoyaki, clams, different kinds of soups (egg drop, fish ball, wonton and hot & sour), some of the sushi rolls, fried wings, coconut mayo prawns just to name a few. Of course you can't expect a buffet place to have top quality, but for 14$ this place isn't bad( and no I have never gotten food poisoning here). On weekdays it is $9.25 but you get less seafood like minus the crab etc. Dont expect this place to be fancy looking, but it is presentable and service is average. This ia a buffet restaurant which means it has the same issues that all buffet restaurants share. The food is universally good but suffers from all the time it can spend in the steam trays of the buffet. As for service, it is pretty much what one would expect in any buffet restaurant. It is somewhat perfunctory. Wonderful Buffet has a limited serving staff that covers the whole dining room. That's one way to keep costs down so be patient with the servers. That said the food is very good and probably better than the 3 stars I've given the overall restaurant. The sushi is good, a bit better than average and strives to be inventive. The tea smoked duck is a star but cut into pieces small enough to qualify as hors d'oeuvres. If you like duck as I do, take several pieces. Cold foods are kept appropriately cold and hot foods are safely hot. Some dishes suffer from being too long in a broth or being steamed but they still are delicious just not as much so as they might be straight out of the kitchen. So why do I go there and why should you? Well the volume to price ratio is fantastic. I love seafood. Every couple of months I get the hankering for shrimp, oysters, clams, etc. For $23 including a soft drink and tip I can go and eat all those things, sushi too, until I'm satiated. I can't do that buying all those things in the grocery for so little money. The food is good, not great but it is plentiful and cheap which qualities are recommendations that count for a great deal. Wonderful Buffet is also kid friendly. You can bring young children and let them experience new food at a reasonable price. Just don't prohibit your children from trying anything. It's all paid for whether they eat it all or not. Let them experiment if they wish. Overall Wondeful Buffet gets 3 stars the food gets somewhere around 3 1/2 to 3¾ stars and value for money is edging toward a true 5. read more

The food was okay, could've definitely been better. Waitress was very friendly up until it was time for the bill. My friend wanted to pay up at the register but the waitress insisted we pay at the table. Once we got our receipts she stood and waited at the table for a tip. She would not leave until she saw that she got a tip. She asked "You going to leave cash tip?" and she stood around until we put some money on the table. This was very odd behavior and I found it extremely rude and unprofessional. To literally stand and wait at our table to see if we put a tip on the receipt and to later say once she saw there was no tip on the receipt, to ask if we were going to put a cash tip. This made the experience very uncomfortable and I personally do not recommend this place to anyone else. read more

Do not go here. These individuals have very little pride in their work and food. They do not respect the overwhelming amount of Canadian clients that attend their restaurant. We paid cash in Canadian currency and were charged basically the equivalent of $9.00 Canadian for our transaction.
