This was a textbook perfect example of the food you get at an American Chinese buffet. It was nostalgic and had all the classics, and the food was hot and replaced often. The dining room was fairly packed which shows how popular it is. I think it suffered only in the lack of dessert options and cooked vegetables free from being mixed with a meat. There was also the matter of the price, which we felt was too much for the food quality, (which wasn't poor, but wasn't incredible either). I really liked the hot and sour soup, my partner liked the chicken skewers. read more

Went at 130 PM all the food was fresh and was very good. The service was good. And the ambiance was very good. Lots of choices to choose from. And the price was very good. Can't wait to go back. read more

Given the on and off 'Wonderful' reviews of this place, we came on a weekend for lunch and our experience was okay. I hadn't been here for years. Food: 3/5 - they had a good selection of seafood that day such as shrimp, lobster, oysters, clams, etc. The lobster was served in tiny pieces & looked like mainly shells. There was a sign limiting to 5 lobsters each time you went up. That and other seafood were overcooked. I didn't try too much seafood as I didn't know how fresh it was. Good value considering its buffet. Service: 3/5 - okay considering it was the weekend and busy. You have to call them if you want service. They came by frequently to take the used plates away. Atmosphere: 3/5 - place is dated which adds ambience to the place. There's complimentary parking. Check my photo for the various prices depending on what day & time you dine at. I doubt I will be back soon as there is tastier food to dine at. If you love deep fried food, this place has plenty of choices. read more

Their food is pretty good for the area of Bellingham Washington. Their Lobster is really good and actually has some good amount of meat in it. The calamari is bomb. Their whole selection was really good. Enough to rival the all you can eat buffets in my hometown. The service / waiters was very attentive and always cleaning up our finished plates. Will definitely do another visit when we are in town. read more

Good food great value for the price of Macdonald. Kids pay per year. Please was clean. Staff was friendly. read more

The price for Sunday night dinner was $28, plus a small tip. There looked like a good selection of seafood and I guess that's the attraction. I had sushi which was decent. The lo main was bland and spaghetti-like. The teriyaki chicken seemed off, I didn't eat it. Overall. It's a buffet. It's in Bellingham. read more

The food is pretty mediocre and while they have a bunch of seafood, none of it is good. The sushi was almost all imitation crab. The overall quality is essentially mall food court level but with a lot of it. read more

Revisited this old favorite after several years.. such great value to have as much seafood as you want for $20, prepared in all sorts of ways. Drinks are bottomless for $1.75. Service charge of 10% is added to the bill. Service is fast and friendly as well. Hope to visit again soon. read more

Casual seating and service to match a classic buffet vibe. I loved the variety and the speed that dishes were replaced or topped up - always hot and as fresh as they could get. $3USD beers were a pleasant surprise, quick clean up throughout tables and no pushiness for us to get out quickly! Another major plus was unlimited self serve soft serve ice cream! I almost gave this spot 5 stars since the value was awesome. I would just say that I was excited for the crab which was a dry/had a small amount of meat. Was also looking forward to the sushi which wasn't the nicest - definitely recommend loading up on avocado rolls though! read more

First time at this buffet place and had an amazing experienced with other 6 friends. We went at 11AM and the place was busy already but we still got seated right away. I was like "wow"! So many foods to choose from and the price is very affordable. From soups, sides, veggies, chicken, pork, beef, duck, sushi, salads and desserts. This is best buffet I had so far and highly recommend it. read more

Wonderful Buffet - Buffets Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

Not my favourite place but was chosen by my elderly mom who wanted to go here for dinner. Food was previously average, but now seems just ok at best. Place could use an updated renovation of its interior and washrooms. Service remains fairly friendly, but it does not make up for the overall experience. read more

Are you going to get world class food here? No. But are you gonna have a wonderful meal for cheap? Yes. Wonderful's dinner is $17.99 per person, and their offerings have changed from when I went pre-Covid. Which I guess is to be expected. They used to have snow crab legs here but this time around all they had was deep fried crab legs. I miss the snow crab since they were easy to eat and succulent. The fried crab was mushier and it was probably fried because they weren't as fresh. They still have snails and clams, as well as several shrimp dishes (fried, cold appetizer shrimp, buttered). They had mussels, baked oyster with cheese (though they have a limit of 2 per person every time they take our a new tray.). They had a do it yourself carving station with a roast meat and some sausages. And you can always count on them to have a petty good selection of American Chinese food at their all you can eat. Still enjoyed going here! read more

In no way do I want to be rude, the staff was friendly enough and the place was decently clean for a buffet environment, but the food was just not good in mine and my husband's opinion, it could be due to batch cooking and quick turn around but it really lacked flavor and wasn't the most appealing to look at- the dessert bar was lacking- it's as if the "lemon cake" had a lemon waved above it and then dyed a pale yellow to make you think lemon but in fact no lemon flavor was to be found and this was the same with the other desserts we tried- other customers seemed to be able to fill their plates and seemed to be happy so it's most likely a personal preference/taste- but if your looking for authentic i would recommend looking else where- read more

Solid 3 stars. It's a buffet. However, going on a weekend for dinner is definitely worth it because the replenishment of the dishes is constant so everything is always fresh. But just like any other buffet, if it's not busy, it's probably not safe to go to. Friday and Saturday nights is always busy here. The staff do a good job of cleaning the tables quickly which helps with the customer turnover. Definitely worth it for a buffet as long as you go during peak dinners. read more

Wonderful Buffet - two plates of seafood and rice - Buffets Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

This is by no means a gourmet buffet, but for the price the food was decent enough. If you want to eat cheap, this is a good choice! If you want to eat good, don't go to a buffet lol. There was a lot of variety and seafood, and the service was really quick. When sections got empty, they were filled again relatively quick. There is a kid's section with fries, pizza, etc., but for the most part, all the food is Chinese. My favourites were: - Walnut shrimp - Butter shrimp - Chicken or beef broccoli - Cajun seasoned crawfish - Sushi (surprisingly decent) - Desserts: canned fruits, fresh fruits, ice cream, and jello The clams, prawns, crab legs had a weird texture in my opinion, so I didn't like them too much. Too mushy even for my soft mouth. Fill up on the proteins to make the most out of your money. This is a no carb zone! read more

Wow, we were very impressed tonight! Last time we came was a couple years ago and it was just so so. They must be under new ownership or management now, because it was extremely good, hot, fresh, and top notch service. They were PACKED with customers. Which is a very good sign at a buffet nowadays. Everything was kept clean, plates cleared, and drinks refilled immediately. They had no problem keeping up with the hot fresh food, too. There wasn't anything they were out of or that looked sad. So much great seafood too! My favorites were their giant pieces of squid , walnut shrimp and crab rangoon. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the crab. It was battered and deep fried in the shell. Which made the crab meat crumbly and awkward to get the shell and batter off the meat. But, that could just not be my thing because I've never heard of fried crab before. The crab itself tasted fresh, so it's definitely not worth knocking any stars down. Long story short, check this place out, you won't regret it! read more

Good deal price-wise for a Chinese lunch buffet. Many items, breaded shrimps, chicken wings, string beans, baked mussels & mushrooms are our favorite. Desserts are okay too. I stay away from the soup and sushi. Staff were okay too. Ambience is a 2.5-3 out of 5. We go here instead if craving Panda Express. Coming 2x a year is good enough for us. read more

I would do zero stars if I could. I will be strongly encouraging people NOT to go. The food was dog water; my egg drop soup was like jello, the food had no flavor, and we got explosive diarrhea after. The place was so packed it has to be a front. Also there are multiple signs about tipping over 20 percent and the waiter will hound you for more money. It was fifty dollars for two people at a self serve buffet, like hell I'm tipping. DO NOT EAT HERE. WONDERFUL WHERE? read more

Sunday night at 8PM it was pretty empty, but the food appeared to be fresh. Happy to see very large fried shell-on shrimp, fried crab (Dungeness), and baked oysters available. Roast duck was a bonus. Food is always fresh. The service is great. Excellent seafood. Serving utensils are replaced often. I took a WWU student that I was concerned about. Three plates filled with seafood, crab, desert, and fruit. I was worried she was developing an eating disorder. Good bang for your buck for weekday lunch at $16 with tax and tip. I have to say it's a good Chinese resto across the border but I don't think it'll survive well here in Vancouver where Chinese restaurants are in a cut throat competition. A good wide spread of food that caters to all. There's a salad bar, Japanese selections, Chinese mostly, some kids items and a dessert bar (some fresh fruits, pastries, canned fruits). Have to point out though that seafood esp shell-on shrimp are served fried because they are not fresh. Shrimp meat may be a bit mushy. One thing that irks me though is why they can't get the hot and sour soup right or even close. This is one of my favorites but the taste is very very off. - not sour nor savoury and not close to any restaurant standard. At awe as to why it's even called hot and sour soup. Servers are quick to pick up used plate. Some tables and chairs can be icky sticky though. read more

My family were just looking for a nearby restaurant, but we got lucky with what we found! It was a deal for how much they had to offer with a lot of variety AND also so delicious. The one thing I'd say was a con was that the two sides of the restaurant are so far from one another. And my side was less crowded so there wasn't much attention from servers on our end. I get it, since the other end was so full, but I literally had to flag someone down from the buffet line to refill our drinks. read more

I have been here a couple times with my family. I have to admit, the food is okay. Not amazing or wonderful like the name of the place but okay. The price is decent for what you're getting. If you want gourmet food, this isn't the place. If you're hungry and want to stuff your face, this is the place. But the only reason I am giving this place 1 star, is their customer service. Although it is a buffet and we are serving ourselves, the staff that greeted us was not very wonderful. The waiter kept coming to take our empty plates, but was super rude about it. First of all, no manners. Please don't reach over a customer's plate while they are eating. Second, no personal space. I was getting food and one of the kitchen staff came and was all up in my space, reaching over in front of me to add more food. The bowl was hot. What if she burnt me? A simple excuse me or some patience could've made it better. Third, they need to clean their dining area. I can see leftover food on the floor. Lastly, they don't wait to see if you're done and ask if you're ready for the check. They come and they give you the check along with some fortune cookies. It almost feels like you're getting kicked out. I wasn't EVEN DONE yet. Overall, decent price for the food. Customer service is NOT wonderful, oh and they demand tips! I saw that in other reviews. I am sitting typing my review and I have watched every server complain about "more tip." Ghetto. read more

I have to say, the standard and quality of most N. American Asian Buffet has been has been on a steady decline in the past 5 yrs. But there are some bright spots here and there! Wonderful Buffet in Bellingham, WA is one good example, my family had been coming here for a good few years, and their standard of food quality has been very consistent, not only did they keep a large variety of items, they also have special features such as Fresh Baked Local Oysters, Fresh Local Clams, Fried Prawns and Crabs etc. I also like their vegetable stir-fries, especially Chinese Mustard Green! It was cooked the authentic way with ginger slices to enhance the vegetable's natural flavour. Service wise, they are always very friendly and efficient, table and plates are always cleared and they are also eager to help you refill your soda! For about US$20.00 per person (including bottomless Soda), I still think this is a pretty good deal in today's world of high food cost! read more

I went here with my besty on Sunday (April14th) before our border shopping session. I haven't been here for few years and decided to bring my besty for a buffet. Because we went on Sunday it was all day dinner menu and we paid US $16.99 per person. Seafood was definetely the highlight of our day. Crayfish, clams, honey walnut shrimp, crab and oyster motoyaki were pretty good. Besty couldn't stop talking about honey walnut shrimp. I loved it too! Hot and sour soup was alright. Fruits were tasty. Icecream tasted cheap in my personal opinion. Great place for those who are seafood lovers! Sushi tasted meh, I'm quite sure I had better sushi elsewhere. I also liked their fried chicken and salmon\tuna sashimi as well. Staff worked hard refilling buffet trays and cleaning dirty dishes. Service was fast and attentive. Bottomless soda was about $1.25 I think. read more

Awful food, service is just ok and ambiance felt like an in and out cafeteria. This AYCE felt dirty like a dive. Waitresses expects a high paying tip for bussing tables eg clearing away dirty plates. Otherwise they give you harsh attitude and will verbally demand you give them a bigger tip when you pay for your bill. read more

I was looking forward to trying this place for a long time. I used to go to Asian buffets all the time near Seattle growing up and I loved them. As a long time Asian buffet goer here's what I have to say.... I was happy to see they had all the standard foods at an asian buffet... nothing too special. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed. Half of the "warm" food I ate was moderately cold, which was concerning. There was a large selection of seafood options, but a lot of it was out the whole time I was there. The service I received was okay - nothing extraordinary again. Maybe it was because they were busy, but we felt like our time was rushed. The restaurant was packed, but the restaurant had lots of seating so waiting for a spot was not an issue for us. The environment was very loud when it was packed. Overall, not impressed. I am sad to say that because I really do love Asian buffets! Also, a heads up, prices increased to $19 a person for dinner as of 03/23. read more

Pretty good selection. Food all was to temp. Sushi rolls were tasty and cold. Great service and yummy hot tea!

The crab legs were so heavenly, I haven't ever liked crab before going to this place. I also have to compliment the fact that they had many seafood options including Sea Snails, the four star is more because of their overly small sized desert section and the staff wasn't very attentive they were professional and kind but also not checking in with us as much as they should. I wouldn't personally recommend the sea snails, maybe it's personal preference but the Crayfish and Crab legs were so good I never even thought twice about the snail. read more

Prices have gone up but "quality" has gone down sadly! The "quantity" & "variety" of selections is still there but the flavors are not the level as before and necessary for the diners. The food was not heated enuf and barely "warm" by the time we got back to our table. Having "warmed" plates available would help but tonite only "cold" ones were available! For a Chinese buffet this was freaking great! Seriously. I have no clue why this place is only 3 stars. I almost didn't go bc of it. It deserves at least 4. The food was good to excellent. Visited: Apr 27 2019 I really had low expectations coming here; my parents raved about this place and they made this a mandatory spot for lunch when we cross the border for our shopping excursion. The parking is ample and the outside looked a bit dated. I've personally passed by this restaurant many times over the years but never had an urge to dine there. We were seated quickly and because it was the weekend, the price is set the same ($17 pp) regardless of lunch or dinner. On to the food. I was actually blown away at the variety and quality. Everything was ginormous; chicken wings, the oysters, the prawns, roast prime rib and duck ... oh my. Lots of seafood, which I love. I am estimating there were about 48 different "trays" of hot/cold food (including dessert and salad) There's no way we can get this type of AYCE for $17 USD back in Vancouver. Will definitely be back next time I cross the border. read more
