I can't believe it's taken me this long to give Wonder Wok a try after living close to this restaurant for years. We made an order to pick up online and the process was quick and easy. When my husband brought our food home, the portions were HUGE and the food was hot and freshly prepared. We got a large chicken soup, a large hot and sour soup, fried rice and tofu with mixed vegetables. The tofu was crispy and tasty. The soups were flavorful and piping hot. We were able to make like four meals out of all that food. We'll definitely be ordering take out from Wonder Wok again soon! read more

Food was horrible. Worst "Chinese food I've had. Rice was hard and only came with onions. I ordered honey hot wings with my shrimp fried rice. They weren't cooked just a whole lotta overbearing sauce put on the wings to cover up the lack of flavor on the meat. Then my girl let me taste her lemon pepper and they were great. Fortunately the guy taking orders was very polite. He was also working the back which would explain the wait. I guess maybe I'm not sure about this place. read more

Avoid. I'm a big fan of American Chinese and this was the worst I've had in Atlanta by far. We ordered sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and Mongolian chicken. They were all terrible. Not to mention, the rice was old and flavorless. To say this place had no business at the time you would think they would have made the food fresh. Instead we got sauced up leftovers. The owner of this establishment made it very clear to me that what I received is the best representation of the quality that should be expected. She didn't care about my compliant, thought I was complaining to get free food. When I explained that I didn't want more of this garbage and that I was returning it, she hung up on me. Hate to leave such a poor review considering the current times but it only seems right. Went in and ordered lunch and after getting in the car I noticed they gave me about 2tablespoons of sweet and sour sauce for my chicken combination plate. I went inside and waited about 8 minutes for someone to come back upfront for me to request more sauce. Then when I got home I realized I was giving a small portion of the platter and not the full size I paid for. This used to be my go to and I get it times are tough but taking advantage of guest intentionally and shortchanging them on food is rude and not right. If you wondering how I know I got a smaller portion it's because I went 3 days ago and ordered a combination platter which was noticeably more food and it's what I always order. Plus I still had the container in the recycling bin to compare sizes and I was right. read more

This was by far the worst Chinese food I ever had. Nothing had any flavor! How can you get Beef and Broccoli wrong? The Broccoli was so overcooked and the whole dish tasted watery I never had watery tasting beef before. The vegetable egg roll flavorless, just like the fried rice. But our main courses (chicken fried rice and Mongolian beef) were pretty disappointing. This was our first time ordering from here. The food was greasy and tasteless. The kids ordered sesame chicken that had almost no flavor to it. I got the shrimp egg foo young and it was the greasiest egg for young I have ever seen. The crab rangoons were decent not the best I've ever had but decent. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour just really strange. All of us got sick about an hour after eating the food. We ended up throwing everything out it was just nasty! At home sick with the flu this week and all I want is the Seafood Soup from Wonder Wok. There must some medicine in that soup, because it cures hang overs, upset stomachs, headache and all the sorts. This location is almost 30 miles from where I live, I discovered it while visiting a friend who swears that they have the best lemon pepper wings he's ever had. Personally, I think the lemon pepper wings are a bit to salty and I always frown upon resturants that serve wings, but charge u extra for blue cheese, so they loose some points for me on this. My friend recently moved, so I have no reason to even be on this side of town anymore, but this is the second trip I've made in the last 3 months for the SEAFOOD SOUP. I also like the wonton soup.....again....great for those hangover mornings when your stomach just isnt feeling quite right. When you call in, they say it will be 5 minutes for your food, but you will have a short wait when u get there, but I do advise to call in, because there will be six people watiing to get their food (who didnt call in) when you get there. They only accept CASH....another thing I frown upon, because normally when I have cash...its the jingling version, not the rumpled up kind...but I just keep in mind to hit up the ATM before going in and I'm a happy camper. read more

I used to love their veggie fried rice. It has lots of crunchy vegetables. Last week or so, I found a roach in my rice. Like a whole dead roach. I'm southern so I've seen my fair share of roaches, but never in my food. I had already eaten most of it and could care less about a refund or returning it for a do-over. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. One of the best Moo Goo Gia Pan I ever had.

Don't let the looks of the place run you away. The food is good. Be warned.. this place is located in a strip mall that looks like it has seen better days. Wonder Wok has improved! I've eaten here enough to learn what I like best. Our favorite dishes are: (1) Orange Chicken, (2) Tai Chein Chicken, (3) Sesame Chicken, and (4) Pepper Steak. We generally get the lunch specials because we prefer chicken fried rice over plain. Considering they don't use MSG (one of the reasons I eat here), often their food tastes better after adding salt. The staff is super friendly and their food is fast & cheap. My only complaint is that they don't deliver. My husband and I often share and fill-up on a $5 lunch special. Great value! FYI: In addition to Chinese cuisine, they also have a huge menu of chicken wings and other fried foods. read more

The boneless spare ribs and vegetable fried rice are to die for. This is the only thing I enjoy from here. The wings are to big and the general chicken is soggy. The customer service is always great. The same jolly Asian guy takes my order. Except for one day when a female cashier I believe a cook from the back with bad english and an attitude filled in for him. read more

This is my go to place to get delicious freshly cooked Chinese food. It's in the hood but don't let the location discourage you. You can always call in your order and pick it up. That's what I normally do. My favorite is shrimp with Chinese veggies in white sauce with their fried rice which has soy sauce and bean sprouts in it. I have had their spring rolls - ragoons - chicken wings (braised) - lomein (veggie) and it is ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUSLY MADE and it's affordable. If you want brown rice, wrong place. If you want nice lovely ambiance, it's not here. You want delicious food that is affordable to take home cause you can't or don't want to cook....THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE. I ordered for my first time from here today and it will certainly be the last. Driving up to the location, it's in a near abandoned strip mall. The Windows to this food establishment are so dark and dirty that I could barely see through them from the outside. The only way I could tell they were open was because of the neon open sign in the window. Coming in the shop is as bare as possible. The woman at the cash register barely spoke English and was extremely rude. The only reason I wasn't high tailing out of this place is because I had already placed my order over the phone and the food was already prepared. The whole experience stepping into the take out shop was pretty unappetizing. Anyway upon looking at the food it looked alright and smelt better than alright actually. The portions are quite big and they seem to use a lot of spice which creates a decent flavor for the food. The food wasn't too bad considering how terrible the establishment looks. Luckily I didn't get food poisoning. Due to how terrible the customer service and how disgusting the restaurant looks I won't be returning here ever. read more

I would like to think they have cleaned up their act since then because they are still open and my family still goes there sometimes. When I did find the bug, I took the food back.
