I'm not walking into a place like this expecting chandeliers and fountains. It's clean, there's adequate seating indoors and outdoors, and it's not cluttered. Sam is the owner and operator. His service and friendly demeanor are refreshing. He and his wife have the best wings in Atlanta when eaten hot. The French fries are also the best in the city. I'm a wing man, and I can confidently make these declarations. I tried the hot, the curry, the house, and the lemon pepper and washed it down with an IPA. Plenty of parking so parking was simple. Upon entering I noticed outdoor seating which was nice to know. We decided to dine inside due to it being warm outside. Some of the best wings we've had, and they're pretty big too. We ordered an 8 piece hot honey mustard, and an 8 piece lemon pepper. We were only able to eat about half of them because they were so filling. Don't expect the regular lemon pepper shake-on seasoning here. They actually use fresh lemon juice one these! The lemon juice gives these wings an amazing flavor! The hot honey mustard wings were super good too. They have a kick, but it's not overwhelming, and they're not super sweet either. The heat and sweet are really well balanced. The owner was the only person working when we got there, and amazingly, he's able to cook, and serve! Not to mention he checks on each table, and is very cordial. He mentioned that the business is still coming back from the Covid disaster, so he works alone during the day and more staff comes in to help in the evening. He said they've been surviving mostly on take out orders and repeat customers. This place deserves to keep its doors open. Wings are solid with a great selection of good tasting sauces. I prefer a little crispier, but they weren't soggy. Beer list was great too. Ambiance was really weird, tables not set up on the patio and inside most of the restaurant was closed with the exception of a few messy tables around the bar. When a party arrived the waiter would unstack some chairs and put them around one of the tables jumbled outside, but then restack the chairs after they left to keep the closed/abandoned vibe going. Everything was served on paper/styrofoam (no plates or even plastic baskets), which was constantly blowing away. Wings marked "market price", which is a bit sketch; sounds like because I asked what "market price" was *before* ordering I got a better deal ($11.95 for 8) than some of the other folks here. A large party arrived and despite the place being 10% occupied they were turned away and told they needed a reservation. Overall strange, but perhaps not a bad place for pickup. I absolutely love the food here. And when I say the food, I'm talking mainly about the Korean chicken...it's perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, bursting with flavor. Oh and the sauces are perfect. I've also had the bulgogi, and it's pretty good, but not quite on par with the chicken. They have a decent beer selection that's reasonably priced. They have live music intermittently (I've never stayed for it so don't know the exact schedule). There's also an outdoor seating area. The staff is very friendly. Why the 4 stars? Everything takes a bit longer than it should, from the food coming up to checking out, etc, and while the staff are apologetic, this has been the case each time I've been there (3 times), where the staff is continually apologizing for things taking so long, etc. It would be nice if they just got their system figured out / updated a bit so that they no longer needed to apologize, but things just ran more smoothly and were more timely. This will seriously be some of the best Korean chicken you've had, and best food in the area, but until they can consistently provide better service (again, it's friendly, that's not the issue), unfortunately I think customers visiting the plaza will continue to frequent other restaurants, leaving Brew and Bird relatively empty. We had Korean BBQ and lemon pepper wings, they are larger (flats and drummets), they weren't the most flavorful however we asked for a hot sauce, the waiter brought a spicier sauce and that kicked them up a notch! Same for the kimchi vegetable fried rice. Ask for the hot sauce. It changes things in a good way. Ambiance meh. We sat outside. Menu was dirty. Real casual feel. The food was served in "To-Go" styrofoam clamshells, given a red solo cup for the beer. Plastic forks and knives available for use. No beer on tap but they have a large selection of cans and bottles. Updating my review - they have raised prices since before the quarantine. Given current prices (basically $2 per wing) and quality, I now think this is 4/5 stars as it's a bit overpriced. Wings had potential to be really good but both my house and my wife's Korean were chewy as if they had been sitting all day.

So happy we found this place. My husband and I were looking for a chimaek fix and were delighted that this is only a short drive from Decatur. Having seen the reviews on both Yelp and Google gave us hope that we could find some good Korean flavors without having to drive to Buford Hwy or Duluth. Before I get into the food, the real star of the show was the owner, Sam. Such a friendly and easy to talk to person who clearly loves sharing an experience with his customers. Thank you, Sam! Next to that is some pretty outstanding wings - we had the Korean BBQ (extra spicy) and the Medium Buffalo. Both had distinct flavors that kept the interesting. I was most pleased that the Korean BBQ are more anchored in a vinegar base rather than an overly sweet sauce, which really sets them apart from a lot of other places. The Medium Buffalo were also nicely balanced, not overly spicy, and had great flavor. But don't just come for the wings ... the fries are incredible!! We came just after they opened so it wasn't too busy yet and Sam, being ever so gracious, agreed to do a half and half order of the normal fries and the sweet potato fries. Like the wings, each had their own unique flavors that we will definitely be back for. We finally tried brew and bird last Sunday. We normally do Togo orders but wanted to enjoy our food fresh. So we were certainly disappointed at the limited seating that was only available at the bar as this would not accommodate our 1 year old. Overall the food was OK. I enjoyed the kimchi fried rice but it was pretty spicy (I must have missed that on the menu). We ordered 3 sets of 8 piece wings in order to try different flavors, lemon pepper- mild - house. My daughter had the fried chicken plate. I thought the flavor of the chicken was good but all of the chicken was SUPER DRY. It had the texture of precooked chicken that was reheated. I wanted to give this place more stars but the chicken quality did not patch the price. Although they had a menu with prices that were already marked through and changed, their wings are now market price, which means they make it up as they go. They charged $13 per 8 count. He recommended us a beer that we both loved. (Allagash White). We ordered the chicken dumplings as the appetizer and they were devoured in seconds. For wings we ordered the lemon pepper, Korean bbq, and hot. We couldn't pick a favorite as they were all SO good. The owner is the one who served us and he truly made this experience so great. Think j just found my new favorite wing place. The prices are decent and they have a lot of different flavors. I had the Korean BBQ and Korean pepper and garlic wings. My wife grabbed the lemon pepper. We also had a side of pork dumplings and my friends ordered a side of fries. Everything was delicious. The chicken was incredibly meaty. The dumpings were full of flavor and the fries were perfectly crispy. They have a great beer selection as well, hence the name I suppose. The patio looks excellent for when the weather permits, it's massive and has enough shade. Only complaint I really have is how the service is laid out. It works fine, but you order at the counter and take a number. If you want to stay for awhile and drink, you have to go back to the counter everytime. But this is fine, just not typical. My first visit to Brew and Bird resulted in me trying three of their wing flavors and their French fries. Pros: I had the Korean BBQ, Honey BBQ, and Honey Mustard flavors and all were tasty and flavorful - my fav being the honey mustard. The wings themselves are pretty big and their smallest batch (8pcs) will fill you up. You get to choose from 8, 16, 24, or 32 wings. Cons: the French fries were a let down. They cost 4 bucks and were too hard and crispy. They don't have any combos set up for the wings so you have to get the fries at that price and they aren't worth it. Also they don't have a large selection of wing flavors to choose from. The sauces are good but they are a bit thick and goopy. I like my wing sauce to be a bit more saucy and runny, just my preference! Overall, I think Brew and Bird is decent and their sauces are definitely flavorful but I wasn't blown away. Pork dumplings were a great way to start. Wings are on another level. Chatted with the owner Sam at the bar while watching NFL network. They have spent meticulous hours in a short amount of time open to the public to perfect the chicken wing in their eyes. Compared to metro Atlanta standard, the wing sizes are double the size. I am by default opposed to a breaded wing, but the secret way they prepare the wing and season it over an extended period of time before double frying them in sauce makes it the perfect combination of crunchy and cooked-internally, as opposed to an almost undercooked tasting traditional breaded wing. Got them buffalo hot, with a side of hot to dip it in, with fries extra crispy (seasoned very well). Highly recommend the sauce on the side since the wings are just a little less wet with the double fry technique. Will be back for sure. Thank you Sam and the wonderful staff. read more

This place is a lot. It has a peculiar set up in that it looks like a sit down restaurant but it is actually a combination of fast food and sit down. You order your food at the counter take a number and have a seat and wait for your food to be delivered. When inquiring about which pieces of chicken comes in the chicken dinners the guy at the counter was unable to distinguish between a white piece of chicken versus a dark piece of chicken. He kept trying to tell me that two breast came in a two piece dark dinner, he had to go ask the cook for which was which. But you work at a chicken place ..... mmmmm okay. I did not like that they did not have a combination of meat to choose from. If you ordered the dark chicken dinner you got two thighs, if you ordered the white chicken dinner you got two breasts, and so on. We opted for the two piece chicken dinner and an eight piece of the Korean barbecue wings. We ordered pork dumplings as an appetizer. It took a little while for our food to come out. Initially we were the only ones in the restaurant, but when others came they got their food before we got ours. The first thing delivered to our table was the Korean barbecue wings.The next thing delivered was a two piece chicken dinner. He forgot about my pork dumplings, so they came out last when basically when we finished the chicken. The Korean barbecue wings were actually really really good. I have zero complaints about that. The two piece dark dinner was horrible. The chicken was very dark and it didn't taste fresh. It tasted like it had been fried and then refried to appear fresh. It was also fried very hard, the thigh was dry. The sides were kimchi and cabbage - no substitutions. I tasted the cabbage it was OK nothing spectacular. It was pretty much purple cabbage and mayonnaise. The pork dumplings tasted like something that came out of a bag pre-cooked and frozen that was dipped in grease and served. However whatever brand that they used pretty good. Not enough to pay six dollars for them though. Overall, this restaurant was a disappointment to me and the kid. After hashing it out with my five-year-old we decided that we would probably stick to ordering to go Korean barbecue wings from this restaurant. Oh and no house made ranch or bleu cheese. Maybe it was an off day...it had to be an off day. Because there is NO WAY what I had on a Saturday afternoon, was the same 4+ star establishment rated by my fellow Yelpers?!? NO.WAY. I had both the House special and the Hot Honey Mustard wings. I really couldn't tell the difference between the two. They must only prepare plain wings and then reheat them in the sauce because they were flavorless. SEASON YOUR FOOD PEOPLE! Sauce does not equal seasoning. There was no distinct flavoring of anything really. No mustard, no honey, no soy, no chili, just nothing. The coloring of the wings were identical (charred black) and they were sprinkled with parsley. While they were charred, there was no char flavor. They were not moist or juicy, but not fully overcooked. They were just bad. I just can't believe B&B is even in the same conversation as other establishments as "best wings"?! I also tried their fries and vegetable dumplings. The fries where actually my favorite (although I originally wanted sweet potato fries but was told they were out). It was also empty on a Saturday afternoon and I heard the employee (who appeared to be the hostess, cook, cashier, and bartender) tell some patrons who arrived after me that none of the draft beers were available. Listen, I love wings, and I was excited to try these but I won't be back nor can I recommend. Everything about our recent attempt to eat at Brew and Bird was strange. I should have listened to other Yelpers who said takeout only, at least for the foreseeable future! While they have a decent sized restaurant and bar area, only the bar area was open when we went on a weekend night. That consisted of two tables surrounded by boxes and supplies - it felt like eating in the storage area. Despite already feeling unwelcome, I generally prefer dine-in over takeout so we stayed. Until our food came packaged in takeout containers... If I'm going to eat out of takeout containers with plastic cutlery, it might as well be in the comfort of my own home. The food itself was okay. The restaurant is really convenient for me, but otherwise I wouldn't make it a destination. I would order the wings again, but probably not the kimchi vegetable with chicken rice. Bird and Brew (BnB) is known best for their wings but there is more to choose from, and I highly suggest sampling. The wings are da best! My fav flav is Kroren BBQ. Perfect balance of crunch, sweet/spice flav. The Kroren Pepper and Garlic is a nice savory compliment for those who want something less sweet. My fav dish though is the Hot Chicken with sweet potatoe fries. The Hot Chicken, in my opinion, rivals that of more popular places. Flavorful and topped with a nice sauce and slaw. Delicious. Beer on tap and nice wines all reasonably priced. OH and how can I forget Jazzy Thursday's. Jazz Thursday's is a $5 cover, but well, well worth it. The night we went, there were no less than 5 professional jazz musicians performing and various others sitting it at times. It was freakin' awesome! Crinkle cut, which I'm not a big fan of -- but they were perfectly cooked and had a tasty seasoning that wasn't overpowering. The wings came next.
