I was asked by Tony if we had this repaired recently as he realized his work. I advised yes about a year ago or so. Due to knowing, this may have been due to his own workmanship he did not charge for the parts but a minimal fee for labor. This place could have said it broke you have to pay for both parts and labor but by showing they were honest with their customer service A.D. Cola has kept a very happy customer. They do good work at this nice little shop in downtown Concord, and because they're one of the few places around that specialize in what they do, it's popular. I'd say the main drawback is the parking, which can be tricky as it's right in Concord Center. Sometimes you have to circle the block a few times for a spot, and when you're carrying a floor lamp or a bulky box, the closer the better, so parking far away isn't ideal. Also, the shop is tiny, and hard to move around in, so I prefer to go right when they open at 10am to avoid crowds. They don't provide written estimates or quotes, they just verbally give you a number, which I don't like, especially when I had to send an estimate to an Etsy seller for reimbursement for repairs on a lamp that broke during shipping. I had to wait until after I had paid to send the receipt, which wasn't great. I will say that their estimates are typically in the range they initially provide, with the exception of one repair that ended up costing more than expected.

The light was special ordered and arrived in a timely fashion. I got it home- unfortunately it sat in the box for the past 6 months while I got around to calling the electrician. When my electrician took it out of the box, the round lamp has a round baseplate. The baseplate is slightly larger than the lamp post so slightly overlaps and looks stupid. It's too late to return it. And too expensive to throw away. With all the other advice I received - I wish I would have been told that you can't put a round lamp on a square post. It was an expensive lesson.

Please note the below for expectations for Porcelonosa There is no free shipping. Any shipping is a minimum cost of $125 because they deliver by the pallet and no other way. Each pallet can hold up to 2,000 lbs. Another option is driving up to New Jersey Warehouse to pick up the items on your own to avoid the $125 shipping fee. I would only suggest this if it's a few items. Vanity and tile material are suggested to be shipped on two different pallets, so please be mindful that your cost will be $250 for shipping. Their reasoning is the vanity will be easily damaged if they are fitted on the same pallet. When putting your order together, be sure to include the cost of ordering extra material. Special orders take time to be shipped from Spain to USA, and will not be available for pick up or delivery for an estimated 5-7 weeks. This will put some serious delays on your renovation project. They do not have an products for sale at the showroom locations. They all come from their warehouse in New Jersey. Curbside delivery is the only availability. If you live in an apartment building, they will NOT bring the material up to your unit. They match the sink to the vanity you chose and they just ordered the wrong which delayed the project by over a week. Basically this place doesn't care about the customer but the vanities are nice.

The diagnostic visit cost $160, and I was told one of the bathroom fans needed to be replaced. I agreed to the replacement, which cost about $850. I assumed that for nearly $1,000 the installation would be complete and leave the area finished. Unfortunately, I was notified that the new fan was not vented outside, and because the replacement fan was a different size and shape than the original, it left a significant opening in the ceiling that required additional patching and repair work on my end. I understand that replacement fans don't always match the size of existing units, but I was surprised that the job was considered complete with such noticeable unfinished work remaining. When I asked the technician about it, the response felt frustrated and dismissive, which further reduced my confidence in the service. The staff was pleasant for the most part, and scheduling was straightforward, but I was not prepared for the extra work and expense required after what I thought would be a complete fan installation. For that reason, I don't think I'll be using Giroux Electric again.

No one showed up, and I was left waiting at home with no apparent notice that the appointment would not be kept. I contacted HomeTrends afterward and expressed my frustration about the missed appointment and the time I had wasted. I was initially told they would arrange for someone else to come out. Instead, the owner subsequently told me that it would be better for me to take my business to another blinds company and that they no longer wanted to work with me. That response surprised me. A missed appointment can happen. What mattered more to me was how the company handled it afterward. Rather than apologizing, taking responsibility, and trying to make things right, their solution was essentially to tell the customer to go elsewhere. There are plenty of companies selling and installing window treatments. Based on my experience, I would choose one that is more reliable, respects its customers' time, and makes customers feel that their business is valued. BTW, they did tell me if I wrote a negative review that "I was a bad person". Well, this review is only intended to give you, the consumer, an insight to my experience. I am not sure that constitutes me as being a "bad" person, but again maybe insight to how HomeTrends perceives upset customers verse working out an amendable solution.
