Absolute perfection! Came to Wolf on a sunday evening (reservation made 2 months in advance) and was awestruck by the beautiful decor inside. We started with 2 cocktails both were large and very yummy, but on pricy side. YOU MUST get the goat cheese balls and wolf bread both were absolutely amazing. For entrees we split the tacos and the Wagyu bolognese, both were super fresh and yummy. Overall a great experience, food is a little slow to come out (but if your enjoying the evening with the company you brought its not painfully slow). I will say though drink prices are hefty. My cocktail was $26. For 2 ppl before tip our total was $150 so definitely a special occasion type of place but definitely someplace you should visit at least once in Tahoe. Don't forget to make reservations well in advanced other wise you'll be waiting for bar seating, that may change as the initial attraction wears off. read more

Came here with a party of 5 for a birthday dinner. I'll start off by saying that there is nothing wrong with the staff, they were friendly and pleasant. The ambience, however, left a lot to be desired. The indoor trees are all plastic, the chairs are incredibly small and uncomfortable and are too high for a table that was too low, leaving us all needing to bend over significantly to eat. The food is overrated. From appetizer to dessert, we were all underwhelmed. We tried the goat cheese balls which are 100% overhyped, others in my party had the ragu which was tasteless and undercooked, the burgers were actually decent, and the steak turned out to be OK as well. The desserts were, frankly, grossly subpar and in line with what you'd expect from a generic chain restaurant like BJ's or Cheesecake Factory. The food is exactly that = standard chain restaurant food, but with a higher price for an underwhelming experience. The staff had also forgotten we had a birthday in the group. Don't come here just because you're a "fan of the show" or think it's some luxury dining experience. It most certainly isn't, and surrounding options look a lot better. We had been to this place once before and went back tonight and had an equally great experience. My wife and I walked in, on a Saturday, with no reservation (for two at 8pm to sit at the bar). Had the filet which was excellent (recommend but would have replaced the fries with mashed potatoes in hind sight). The huff n puff cocktail was also great and the bartenders were very attentive and gave us great service. The ambiance is also high level as you would expect from a Vanderpump spot. Located in South Lake Tahoe at Harvey's Casino, you'll find Lisa Vanderpump's newest restaurant Wolf. Lisa never disappoints with her decor as it's always over the top with flowers, lavish chandeliers, and cozy seating. Service was great. Nothing to complain about there. We ordered the Pumped Up Kicks (nitro tap espresso martini) because we needed a little energy pick me up. They were delicious but slightly too sweet for my liking. They were garnished with 'sweet treat' (donut and chocolate) so this may be better as a dessert drink than a starter drink. Be aware that the cocktails are on the pricier side, some ranging over $20+. We started with The Famous Goat Cheese balls as an appetizer. They are definitely "famous" for a reason and I would highly recommend. The main dishes were so-so and not worth the price's imo. The Herb Dusted Wild Salmon was good but nothing to rave about and unfortunately the Waygu Ragu really lacked. If I'm being honest, it tasted like a can of fancy Campbell's SpaghettiOs. Overall the experience was underwhelming. I encourage everyone to check it out for the cocktails and goat cheese balls but personally I would not come for a full dinner. So sad to leave this review. I've visited all the VP chains and for some reason this one falls really short. Lisa is known for her design and the atmosphere at VP is a lot of what you're paying for. However the atmosphere at Wolf was all gimmicky and fake. Fake plants. Fake paintings. Kind of felt like you're in a Medieval Times restaurant. Since it's still the first month they're open obviously there are kinks that need to be worked out. Drinks tasted fine and were overpriced. Kind of crazy you can't sit at a table when you don't have a reservation even though there are an abundance of tables empty. We ordered the Asiago pull apart bread. For $16 it was tasty but the inside was cold and obviously hadn't been warmed enough from being frozen. read more

Absolutely spectacular experience we had dining here Christmas Eve. Everything started off fantastic with our waitress from turkey being very friendly and helpful with the menu and options. The caviar and prime rib sliders made excellent appetisers while the Wagyu burger was a slam dunk for my entree. Their salmon was not fishy at all and tasted phenomenal. When we asked to be seated at a table they said it would be a 2 hour wait. So we took the lounge table. Then, our appetizer was served 1 hour and 15 minutes later WITH our dinner. When I spoke to the manager regarding our reservation that was booked two months in advance to secure a table for dinner. Not a coffee table. She offered to pay for our late appetizer that came with dinner. When we asked her to find out what went wrong she made little of it and offered to take 1 drink off our tab. There were 6 of us. We had 20 minutes to eat our meal and missed the opening act of our concert as a result. I'd say stay away from Vanderpumps...they don't rule!! read more

Most of the food was tasty but not as good as expected. The descriptions of each entree were not all entirely correct. We had lobster ceviche crisp. Which id say they was a lobster tacos. It was tasty but I couldn't find mango in it. We also had the New York steak. The potato's were very bland and the description of all the veggies that came with it were not on the menu. That throw me off. I was also surprised they didn't offer a prime rib. Well more sad than anything. lol Otherwise the drink I had was fun and delicious. It was called the Petter Rabbit and absolutely fit its name. Our server seemed to be new which that was no problem, but he kept saying sorry for nothing lol. Other than that the ambiance was amazing! Was super excited to dine here, nowhere does it say that a reservation is required to dine here. we went to put our name down and the host was not friendly whatsoever. She had attitude and informed us of the only available time. There was no sort of help on their end to put us on a waitlist or try to squeeze us in. The ambiance was so chic and romantic; great for date night or a night out with friends. Drinks were really good and great presentation. My opinion may be a bit bias as I am a long time fan of Lisa and Vanderpump Rules, but this is her best restaurant yet. I've been to all of them and this was the last one on the list. This place is STUNNING! The lighting, the decor, everything is gorgeous. The drinks are what I have come to except from a Vanderpump establishment, beautiful and really tasty. I had the Big Bad Wolf and of course I had to get a Pumptini! To stat we got the Wolf Bread and it was delicious as was the butter it came with. I had the double smash wagyu burger and it was delicious, super tender and juicy and the fries it came with were crispy! I was so excited to try Wolf after three days waiting. Make Reservations ahead of time. The food was excellent. We had the Signature Wolf Bread, Prime Rib Sliders, Garden Greens Salad, and PARMESAN Crusted Chicken SCHNITZEL and everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. I could keep going on about how yummy it all was. Service was also on point. Greeted with smiles. Eye contact by all the workers. I felt the experience and am super pleased. The ambiance is of course over the top. As we walked into Harvey's we have the chance to snap pics with Lisa & the Wolf Grand Photo overhead. First off, the decor in there is insane! I did not know what to expect going in, but I was really surprised with how committed to the theme they are. The chandeliers, tables, chairs, and light fixtures are really unique and there are icicles coming out of the ceiling. A really fun theme that makes for a great restaurant! For food I had the goat cheese balls and they lived up to the hype. So much flavor packed into each bite. I also had the wolf bread and it was pretty good, but star of the appetites was the goat cheese balls. For the entrees I tried the wagu steak and the wagu ragu. I thought the steak was just ok. Everything else that I tried had a ton of flavor and I thought the steak was pretty average and lacked flavor. The wagu ragu on the other hands was delicious and I would definitely order that again!! Wolf does not disappoint. If you are a fan of RHOBV or Vanderpump Rules and you've always wanted to eat at a Lisa Vanderpump restaurant, this is the perfect experience. Every detail has been impeccably selected to create the perfect atmosphere. It is absolutely gorgeous inside. In terms of food, we wanted to whole experience so we got an app, main meals and dessert. We started with the Goat Cheese Balls of course. Much creamier than expected and delicious. Next for our main courses, we got the sliders which my husband says were good and I got the Farmers Market Pasta which was also great. Our highlight was probably the s'mores dessert. So yummy and the perfect way to end dinner! Now for the negatives.. be prepared to pay steep prices. We did not see a cocktail for less than $20 on the menu. The other issue I had was weirdly with the music playing. I know it seems odd but you're in this very sexy, high end restaurant and the playlist that's playing is random casino music which totally takes you out of the moment. My husband and I went to Wolf for a date night and we were blown away! From the food and drinks to the service and atmosphere--everything was top notch. We started with goat cheese balls because they are a must at any Vanderpump restaurant! They're perfectly cooked with crispy outside and delicious creamy inside served with hot honey. We also got the signature wolf bread and that was delicious as well! We shared the wagyu ragu and the wagyu steak with truffle fries. The pasta was definitely our favorite with a flavorful sauce and pasta that was cooked to perfecting. The steak was pretty good but it was a little tough for our liking and didn't have quite as much flavor as the pasta. The truffle fries, however, had tons of flavor and were a hit. The decor in this place was outstanding! Very beautiful touches throughout. We had a 4:15 reservation for Mother's Day. The menu was pretty small. I got the salmon. It came over garbanzo beans. It had good flavor. I just wish it wasn't farmed salmon. Being such a nice restaurant you'd hope it to be wild caught. You can tell by the color and flavor it isn't:( My son got the schnitzel. It was crispy but lacking flavor especially salt. My hubs ordered the spicy pasta with shrimp. It was ok. Nothing mind blowing or anything.. The vanderpump rose was tasty. What an absolutely fantastic experience. My Mom and I had a special meal ahead of Mother's Day and Wolf went above and beyond our expectations. We were treated promptly for our 4:00 reservation and we were seated at a table for 2. Our server Anna was great. She was prompt to let us know they were out of a few menu items which was helpful. We enjoyed a Frose Slushie (this wasn't quite ready when ordered but brought about a half hour later which was fine). We also enjoyed a very well made espresso martini. We shared the garden greens salad that the kitchen split for us, such a great flavor combination and a little crunch from the watermelon radish and garbanzo beans. We then enjoyed the wagyu ragu pasta dish and the wagyu and truffle fries. Everything was prepared to absolute perfection. We took the cinnamon roll for 4 home with us to share with family. I am a huge fan of Lisa Vanderpump and was so excited to try her restaurant.  I can't even describe how beautiful the décor is.  It's just breathtaking.  I ordered the colossal shrimp tacos, and my husband ordered the wagyu ragu.  Both of our dishes were excellent!  When the bill came, we explained that my husband wanted to use his reward credits to pay.  We thought everything was good, until I received a voice message from security explaining that there was a misunderstanding with our bill.  I called back the next morning, but the person in security who answered had no clue what I was talking about.  Someone else from security called me later in the day to explain that we needed to go back to the restaurant to take care of the bill.  They made me feel like a criminal, which was really bad.  We went back later that day and spoke with the manager and took care of the bill.  It really was a pain and time consuming! The server totally made an error and caused us undue stress.  So, be careful if you want to use rewards credits to pay your bill! I would've given 5 stars if not for the problem with the bill. read more

The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. As a huge VPR fan, this was a must! The drinks were disappointing. They all screwed very sour. Of our group of 11, maybe two girls liked their drinks. The food saved the day! Amazing food. Goat cheese balls, Mac and cheese, mashed potato's - all a hit! Another downfall was that my fiance tried to contact the restaurant ahead of time to order me a special bachelorette party dessert to the table, and was unsuccessful is reaching the restaurant after holding for 30 mins. Convinced some friends of mine to come from the Central Valley to Tahoe for the night to enjoy dinner with me at Wolf since I had such a good experience the first time. This experience was pretty much the opposite. We checked in for our reservation for 4 people and got seated right away. The table was next to the large window at 530 PM with the sun directly in two of our eyes. On top of the sun blinding us, the glass made the sun feel extremely hot, and before our busser even came up to pour waters, we already had visible sweat down our face. We requested to move tables to the busser and he said he would check with the host. The host was seat another table nearby and turned to our table and said she would move us shortly. Me and my friends chuckled because she sounded annoyed at us but we didn't seat ourselves at the worst table in the restaurant. We got moved to a nice table but our server seemed annoyed that we got moved there. We all work in the service industry so we would almost never complain but the table was terrible and server felt like she had attitude from the start. We think because we are on the younger side of clientele and she thought we might not tip as good or the fact that we were a 4 top that got seated at a 5 top and didn't maximize her sales may have been the issue. Food and drinks were incredible again. Wolf bread, goat cheese balls wagyu burger were my selections. Table also ordered risotto with additional steak, salmon dish and Chilean sea bass dish. There are so many things I can write in my review but the main aspect that makes it a 1 star restaurant is the way they handle allergies. I told them I have a gluten allergy and when they brought the burger over (they have a gf bun) they didn't say which one was gluten free. Two people in our group got burgers and one of the servers "guessed" which one was gluten free. You can't guess which item is gluten free because that "guess" could result in a serious allergic reaction.
