If you're coming by Edgewood, make sure to stop by the clubhouse and try Brooks' Bar & Deck. It's connected to their golf shop. They have a cute bar and small indoor seating area. They also have an adorable patio with heaters if the weather gets cold. This is a more laid back place to eat if you are visiting Edgewood. Bar food is served and small plates to share. I had an excellent dirty martini! We tried their shishito peppers, which were actually much spicier than I thought, but great flavor I kept going back for more. The beef short rib potato skins were the best. This is sucha smart idea, I could have easily eaten two more plates of these. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos. Super fresh, served with some chips and guacamole. The service is excellent. Servers were attentive and took the time/effort to make sure our party was satisfied with everything. read more

We stopped by Brooks while in town for the American Century Championship, and it was the perfect choice! We made reservations ahead of time and were quickly seated, which was a huge plus given how busy the tournament weekend was. The customer service from start to finish was incredibly attentive and welcoming. As for the food and drinks, wow! The standout for us was definitely the beef short rib potato skins. They were absolutely amazing and packed with flavor. My boyfriend really liked the ribeye steak, and the pappardelle pasta was decent as well. The drinks were just as impressive; they were beautifully presented, strong, and delicious. If I am in SLT and the weather is good... I will always, always stop at one of the world's most beautiful place to play a round of golf. And that would be Edgewood Golf Course. Where celebrity golf rules. I am talkin casual and elevated dining at Brooks' Bar and Deck! Where, even if you are not hitting that little white golf ball around and paying $400 and up, you can still have the incredible views and feel like a VIP while dining on delicious food and libations. Seriously... my absolute favorite place to hang out in SLT. My recent visit this year was wonderful. Beautiful, sunny day. I called about an hour away to make reservations. Always recommended. Score! Getting excited. Upon arrival you literally pull up to the golf course and valet your vehicle. Sooo nice. Just steps away you will find Brooks' Bar and Deck with all the happy people enjoying it all. Inside seating too. Actually the interior it is quite stunning with a classy bar and tables and quite the view. But it is outside with the Lake front and center people want. Our table afforded the perfect view. I think I have eaten at most of the tables on the deck. All are great. Our server was superb. As always. Drinks ordered before the menu receives a look. Right!?! We had such an outstanding meal. A friend's birthday was also celebrated along the way. He had never been before and was impressed. Photos of view and food included. Great service! Food?...Not so great. This was for a birthday dinner and we all wished we had picked somewhere else to go. Everything that we ordered was just ok. Nothing exceptional, nothing too bad...just ok. And for the price, I'd have expected pretty darn good. And for the price, I'd have expected some accompaniments, maybe a small salad to go with the entree? Maybe a piece of bread or two? Especially for the very small portions received. Oh well. Brooks Bar has a few areas you can dine at. One is inside, the other is on the patio overlooking the golf course and the lake. The patio is the better choice such great views when the weather is good like it is now. No issues with the service, very attentive and the drinks and food were also on point. My parents were visiting from out of town and absolutely loved exploring Edgewood and munching on yummy lunch at Brooks bar. The only regret was that the patio was closed for the afternoon. The calamari was so good- lightly fried, not too chewy, perfect aioli dip, we actually ordered two calamari's! My mahi mahi tacos were super filling, I wish they mentioned it came with the same chips as the chips/ salsa/ guac we ordered because then I may have done a different side dish. The view of the golf course is fantastic and so worth staring out into. The summer pappardelle was creamy and delicious, my favorite dish. Ordered the Miso glazed Salmon. The chef coated the salmon with so much "glaze", it was like he was painting a Tahoe house for the winter...or he was staining a deck with three coats of varnish. I have ordered a similar dish elsewhere. It should be a hint of the glaze to enhance the flavor, not have the consistency of the congealed fat when you take a leftover cooked chicken from the refrigerator. Ended up having an upset stomach well into the middle of the night....and I rarely have a reaction to food. We came for lunch and started with waffle fries to share, which weren't bad but a little diff in the center and needed more toppings to cover al the fries. My sister got the blue crab roll with Caesar salad which was good. I got the trio tacos which was awful and largely inedible. Came here by accident since the Edgewood was about to close. Ambience here is divine- 4 stars for that. Sit inside if you want to watch the 49ers game. Seat outdoors if you want a nice scenic overview of the golf course and escape the Tahoe crowds. There's also a nice beach access near the parking lot (valet parking only) Food is mediocre, definitely overpriced for casual eats. The calamari appetizer was lightly crisped but for $20 they add a lot of crispy chips to fluff up the dish but the actual portion size of calamari is quite little. Bizarre situation. See the uploaded email I included as a photo. Bottom line: the food is good. The location is great. The ambiance is that of an upscale sports bar. But their service department is...odd? The valet driver linked someone else's key ring to our key ring. We unfortunately did not notice until we got home in Reno, which is about an hour away. We immediately contacted the resort several times. A manager said that he was relieved and would come retrieve the keys himself. He never did and we have no way of returning the keys to the rightful owner. Such blatant disregard for decency. We will obviously never patronize this place again. Update: after posting this review, and another one on Google, top management intervened and had someone retrieve the keys. Overall, I was still not pleased with the lack of urgency or remorse. I understand that mistakes happen, and I was not actually upset about the keys ending up in my possession. It was the initial ambivalent response that I found appalling. read more

The steak was ordered medium rare but it was seared, and mostly seared with a raw center. Not a delightful pink. The nachos were not great and soggy. The martini was good but not enough for that price. The potatoes texture was great but lacked flavor. Overall, id say youre paying for the view. It was clean and beautiful. But everything i ordered lacked flavor, depth, and anything special for the price. I probably couldve sent it back with the waitress, who was lovely, but i dont believe a waitress is going to fix an issue in the kitchen. Not her fault. Just need a new menu or chef maybe? read more

The restaurant was empty and there were only a handful of tables sat on the deck around us with multiple servers and support staff working. Our service was so bad that I had to get multiple staff members attention during our dining experience. My boyfriend and I had to turn around in our chairs for long periods of time each time we were ready to order (drinks, food, dessert). As one of the higher rated restaurants in South Lake, and on the Edgewood property, I expected much better service. On this particular occasion, not only did we enjoy the Braised beef tacos, and the salmon which was grilled to perfection, and a salad which normally came with a blue cheese dressing but we enjoyed it with a vinaigrette which they are happy to accommodate. On this particular evening, our server was Samuel and everything came right out looking beautiful and tasting delicious. I must say it was excellent the way we wanted it. They had the heater cranked up even when it got a little chilly we were able to enjoy our desserts, which were also delicious just like the meals. First off our server, Yvonne was amazing. However, our meal was disrupted by the rodents on the patio. Extremely disappointed with the management as there were multiple rats running around our table to the point that I was able to explain to the manager exactly where the rats were coming in and out. Rather than causing a scene with the server I directly talked to the manager, Amanda. She was extremely dismissive of this issue that is not only a health hazard but extremely disturbing at a restaurant that is part of a high end hotel. If the manager Amanda showed any ounce of caring about our concerns of rats running around 5 feet away from us I would not be posting this. The table next to us also noticed this issue. We were offered to move inside which we did however the server was the only one to apologize for the situation. read more

We came for the Sunset dinner ( prix fixe for $60 for salad, entree and dessert) prior to attending a 8pm concert at the Tahoe Blue Center. We made a 5pm reservation for dinner to give us plenty of time to eat before the concert particularly since on the website it says that parties of 4 are only allowed to stay at the table for 90 minutes. Things started out well. Food was very good. We received our salads pretty quickly, followed by the entree. We had told our server Grace that we needed to be out of there for the concert. After the entree was served, she disappeared. We had ordered the entire dinner together so they had our orders up front. No one came by to pick up the plates after we finished our entree. 15 minutes later we flagged down our waitress and told her we needed our desserts and the check. She dropped off our check and said our desserts should be coming in a minute. Another 15 minutes went by, still no dessert. We needed to leave and asked them to credit back the desserts that we never received. They said they would, but never did. As we were walking out, they brought out our desserts and suggested we eat them in the car which would've been ridiculous. Really bad service. For a higher end establishment, you would think they would pride themselves on providing good service or when they said they would credit back the cost of the dessert, they would actually follow through on that.. When I accidentally spilled juice from the tacos on my white shirt, he quickly assisted me with club soda and lemon. The food was decent but lacked a "wow" factor. We had a trio of tacos, peach and mango gazpacho, and peach cobbler for dessert. For drinks, we opted for mimosa flights, which hit the spot. The views here are great, with the bar situated right next to the golf course. The only downside was the construction noise from a stage being built for a game or concert.
