We ordered the Lake Mode pizza and it was so delicious! Crust was great and pizza was loaded up! The bartender was very attentive and it's nice looking inside. We even played some video poker at the bar and won a little. Had a great time there. We'll definitely come back!
This tavern had a comfy, laid-back vibe with a full bar and video poker games along the counter. Our server was really friendly and took great care of us, which made the experience even better. The food was pretty solid overall. We ordered the Cajun shrimp salad, Tavern burger, buffalo cauliflower, and fish and chips. I'm giving 4 stars mainly because the buffalo cauliflower didn't actually taste like buffalo -- it leaned more toward a curry-style spice. It was still good, just not what we were expecting. The fish and chips came with deep-fried salmon, which unfortunately was a bit dry. On the bright side, the fries were SO good -- they tasted like they were fried in beef tallow and reminded us of McDonald's fries in the best way. Overall, a good spot with a nice atmosphere, and I'd definitely be open to trying other items on the menu next time!
We came here one evening during dry January looking to try somewhere new. We absolutely loved the people, the service and the pizza was excellent. I was told by the waitress that they have the best wings, we will be back to try them soon
I really enjoyed our experience at Tahoe Tavern before opening night over at the Knight Monsters game. Great food and drinks and some interesting menu options! We arrived for an early dinner around 5pm. The place was mostly empty at the time. We were seated promptly and ordered some drinks. The cocktails were good. The espresso martini was especially delicious. We put in our order for food. I was impressed by the menu. Many things looked good and there were many classic dishes as well as traditional dishes with a twist. Our food came and the two burgers were good as well as the side of onion rings for an extra charge. One of our burgers was ordered with a side salad and there is an extra charge for that too. The birria dip was interesting and had great flavor. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty but we couldn't quite decide what was "Korean" about it. The restaurant is nicely decorated with plenty of tables. I suspect this was not always a restaurant based on the massive mirrored wall. But maybe it's just a unique design choice. Why not five stars? Nothing was amazing. The portions were a bit small, especially the proteins. The chicken patty was very slim and I do think the dip could have had more meat. The burgers were ok, but nothing out of this world. The prices are also high. For four entrees and two cocktails the bill was about $150 before tip. Seems a bit steep, but it is Tahoe. I'll visit Tahoe Tavern again because I'd like to try some other menu items. Overall it's a cool spot. I'd recommend it if you're looking for somewhere around stateline that is not in the hustle and bustle of the casinos. Cheers!
Great place, nice people, great food. The fried cauliflower was really good perfectly spiced. Pizza great, keto salad also great and burger with onion rings phenomenal
During our annual summer vacation, my friends and I decided to try Tahoe Tavern & Grill for lunch as we were near Stateline in South Lake Tahoe. TT&G is a great location offering up some pretty damn tasty food and drinks, along with gaming and sports bar vibes in a casual, inviting setting. Our server, Travis B., was super friendly and took care of our party with some great service and a friendly attitude. Our group ordered a variety of pizzas, tacos and sandwiches. I went with the 10" Deck Roasted Veggie Pizza - sweet San Marzano tomato sauce, custom cheese blend, topped with slow roasted onion, mushroom, marinated artichoke hearts, grilled red pepper, broiled Roma tomato and garlic confit. I really liked the pizza. The dough was nice, so to the right balance of crisp and softness. The ingredients on the Deck Roasted Veggie were delicious and blended well together. There were a couple of slightly burnt crust edges, but overall, not too bad. My friends enjoyed their tacos, pizzas and sandwiches as well. The feedback from our group included that the Pacific Pig pizza was unique and delicious, while the street tacos were just OK. TT&G is a nice gastropub that offers something for everyone, including a kid's menu. The prices aren't too over the top given the quality of the ingredients. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Plenty of indoor seating, along with a shaded outdoor area as well. A half dozen TVs featuring live sporting events, video poker at the bar, plenty of parking in the strip mall space and clean restrooms. Check them out the next time you are near Stateline in South Lake Tahoe for a solid meal, rain or shine.
So there I was, I couldn't go home because it was my wife's book club night. I've already been working an hour beyond my regular day. I'm hungry and I have to drive by this establishment on a regular basis. You see I live down in the Carson valley. I give in. I know there are dozens of menu items that I have not tried yet and I already know that I love this place. Tonight I would try something new, and so I did. Tonight it was the Heat Check hamburger. It seemed like if you could think of a food that is spicy it was on this burger. Oh, and before I forget, they start with a half pound of meat. The burger comes with a side of fries, and you could upgrade to onion rings, the soup of the day, a house salad, and number of other items. I chose the fries and then I still had another decision to make. Did I want thin cut fries or thick cut fries? So, as you might suspect, I'm in no hurry and so I check out the two different televisions that are broadcasting a women's NCAA playoff softball game, and a women's tennis match. I think it was the French Open, but I'm not sure. Nonetheless, it kept me busy as I rotated between the two screens. When I arrived at the restaurant it was mostly empty, and it gradually got more crowded as my time there went on. I was getting used to the sports bar ambience, and so I ordered a beer, a tap beer that came out of San Diego that was similar to Blue Moon. So we've got a unique burger served in a sports bar environment with a really nice beer out of San Diego and comfortable service. Yes, I'll be back.
In town for an overnight stay and friends recommended Tahoe Tavern and Grill. Manny and Patrick took great care of us. I ordered the salmon fish n chips. Generous portion, totally shareable, the salmon was moist and beer battered. I'd definitely order it again. We were indecisive when trying to decide what to order, and Manny made suggestions based on our likes and dislikes.
Walking around SLT, looking at shops and decided to pop in for food. It was a beautiful day, but we decided to eat inside because it was warm out. The decor is what's you'd expect in Tahoe. Dark wood, rustic. Lunch was good, bar food. Service was fair. I might stop in again, but probably want to try other options first. The fish was good the burger was fine, not memorable I'm afraid.
We came in on a Saturday night and it was a packed house. Hostess put us on the wait list and continuously came back to update us. After we ordered, our food came out pretty quickly! Portions were generous and the taste was on point.
I had heard so many great things about this place that I had to try it. It's nothing amazing to look at, but trust me you want to eat here. The service was great and our server recommended many excellent options. I chose a sandwich with fries and my husband had the soft tacos( although the menu said crunchy street tacos which confused us since street tacos are soft and) I can't not say enough about my cheesy pesto sandwich and fries. It had a lovely balsamic reduction and the fries were crispy and delicious. I could not finish it. I'll definitely be back to trying new items on the menu. I wish they had a better price point on their wine options, but it is Tahoe.
What a great find! We came for dinner and were greeted by friendly staff, quickly seated, and enjoyed the updated and open tavern. The patio is a beautiful spot to enjoy away from the games if you aren't a sports person. Psst it's a great place to watch your favorite sports! Cocktails were delightful and we enjoyed our dinner selections. Gluten free options for those that need them! One of us tried the Korean chicken sandwich and the only critique we had was that the chicken was over cooked and dry. I highly suggest Jay's Cubano with the crispy fries. It was delightful!

I will say bravo... They handled a party of 20 - 1 waiter ... he was fantastic... the check said Ron and I hope that's his name I just forgot - my apologies... He did a great job- he brought out the kids foods .. pizza and kids chicken fingers ..first and that really made the kids happy- that was a big win... The braised short ribs were really good and mine shredded very easily and was seasoned really well..... the mashed potatoes tasted buttery and was soft - just how I like it.. The veggies were done very nicely and melted in my mouth..: We sat outside and it was just right .. very clean and welcoming .. Inside is very nicely done and has a big bar.. big tvs for sports... We were on the hunt for chicken wings and were pleasantly surprised by so much more at Tahoe Tavern. The Popcorn Cauliflower and brussels sprouts had great flavor with a yummy cilantro dipping sauce. The Shrimp Scampi was listed as the special and it met up to the name. The shrimp was delicious!! The sweet chili glaze on the wings exceeded our cravings and will haunt me anything i have more wings. The service was a selling point. Our server was kind and attentive, and everything came out so quick. They had the NFL & MLB games on so we had plenty of entertainment as well as spacious seating as we were the first of the dinner rush. Big thanks to the gentlemen working. We will be back next Tahoe trip! read more
Traveling recently and were just tired and needed to stop. The location worked for us so we gave them a try. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and service. I had a jambalaya fettuccine which was amazing! My husband decided to try the servers recommendation of the short ribs. I think he wished he had gotten a 2nd portion to take along for the next day. They were so tender and delicious! I think they won an award for them. Atmosphere is very pub like but the food is worth stopping for. If we could do 1/2 stars it would be a 4.5 because of loud environment. However, I'm rounding up because of the food! read more

Really nice atmosphere, delicious food! amazing staff! Definitely highly recommend and I'm definitely going back! Also, I forgot to take a picture of their dry rub wings which were also Cajun spiced, super delicious!! And crunchy!! read more

They're making a good effort here with some unique menu options Good cocktails and machines at the bar The thing is, there is a back of the house near the dining area behind some double swinging doors where they are banging and slamming all the time. I've been here a few times and this is my second time paying attention to this and it is super annoying. read more

Found this place as a quick stop on our way to the cabin for the weekend. Not quite the 5-star experience as the food and service lacked a little bit. Not the young lady's fault at all for the service, but there was only one server waiting the whole place, and she was definitely busy! As far as the food, it looks wonderful and great! But the flavor lacked a bit as well. The Popcorn cauliflower had some solid reviews on Yelp and Google, but I did not agree that the flavor was there. The Korean Chicken Sandwich had good flavor and crunch, which I would recommend! The side salad was a great side to share! The Ahi Poke to be $40 is just not worth it, honestly. Quite surprising with the pricing and quality of Ahi Poke they are serving. Burgers and fries were standard and nothing special, quite cold when they came out, too. Overall, not a terrible experience but also not the best. Good little quick stop for the hungry travelers! read more

Jake was a great server when working alone on a Saturday. It was pretty busy and he was running around before his colleagues got there. The food was pretty good and he memorized all our orders instead of writing it down! I got the gluten free pizza which was tasty and the crust was crispy as usual. My family really liked their meals as well. The inside was clean and comfortable. Would be back. read more

Overall we had a nice dinner ! The atmosphere is nice , here is everything we ordered : 1) dry tub wings - very nice and pretty large portion - 4.1/5 2) luao burger - very tasty with pineapple and a generous portion (1/2 lb). I did ask for medium and for the burger well done . It was nevertheless a great portion . The onion rings were a bit soggy thing . 4/5 We also got a dragon fruit mojito which was nice ( not too sweet ) Service was nice but they messed up the order of the plates (brought the appetizer after the main courses were served ...) All together it is high 3/low 4 review . We will come back to try other options n the menu read more

Good for dinner as a large party! On the Friday of a holiday weekend, we were able to make a same-day reservation at Tahoe Tavern & Grill. The interior had a very causal vibe - minimal decor, sports on the TV screens, etc. - and was also pretty loud. We opted to sit on the (dog friendly) front patio, which was thankfully much quieter. For drinks, I was able to order the Dragonfruit Mojito as a mocktail, which was tasty and refreshing. My friends got the Strawberry Basil Margarita (very good) and Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade (unusual but still tasty). For food, I ordered both the Popcorn Cauliflower and Ahi Poke. This was way too much food for one person, so I had plenty of leftovers to bring home. The Ahi Poke was mostly good, but the tuna could've tasted a little more fresh. However, the Popcorn Cauliflower was fantastic! The cauliflower itself had a nice kick to it, and both dipping sauces went great with it. My friends all enjoyed their food as well, including the Margherita Sandwich, Korean Chicken Sandwich, and Tavern Burger. Portion sizes were very generous and service was fast and friendly. Overall, a good experience! read more
