Extra shoutout to our server Scot -- probably the best service we've had in our past year of fine dining. Hopefully management reads this and is aware how awesome he is! So Wolf is one of my go-tos as a local when I wanna eat out; yes it's tourist pricing but at least the quality delivers consistently. Our usual go-tos: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing cocktail Wolf bread The lobster tacos were super refreshing Garden salad (fresh and very well made, Tahoe salads elsewhere are kinda abysmal) Fish and chips (We switch it up but this is our current rotation.) The music was fun club fare (def catering to the millennial tourists), the decor was on-point... it feels like a local staycation every time we swing by here and HK next door. Oh reminder you can get parking validated here too. Whether you're visiting or local, def give em a check, the food is worth it!

My first visit to Wolf by Vanderpump. As a man born in the 80s I'm not really up to speed on reality TV or its stars. However, my date provided the info on Ms. Vanderpump. Hit the restaurant around 4pm on a Friday, nice entrance and we were greeted and treated with speed. Once sat our server Evan quickly appeared with positive vibes and communication skills. Peeking the menu I started to eyeball the smash burger. I was up in the air on a decision so I looked to the Yelp gods for help. Evan came table side and validated my smashed burger prayer with a hallelujah amen! After a tasty mocktail the burger of burgers arrived!!! Holy smokes no SH*T one of the best smashed burgers I've had! The truffle fries were also very tasty. The photos don't lie Yelpstars. Ms. Vanderpump you got a nice Tahoe joint and server Evan is 100% rain, snow, or shine! Whoever's in the kitchen cooking the smash burger...I commend your smash skills! I'll be back!

Pan Roasted Chilean Seabass ($64.95) Split this with my bf so they put half portions on two plates for us

[Food] - Prime Rib Sliders ($18.95): The meat was super tender and the jus definitely added to the entire burger with an umami bomb without being too salty! - Pan Roasted Chilean Seabass ($64.95): Sauce Vierge with capers, baby cherry tomatoes, black olives, & potatoes Anna were all perfectly balanced! I usually don't like capers or olives, but neither ingredient were too overpowering. The seabass was super buttery, flakey, and moist. Would order again! [Service] - Friendly, helpful, fast [Ambiance] - Dimmed, lovely decorated, & fun [Overall] - Would come back again just for their Chilean Seabass! - I would have rated 5 stars, but had to knock off a star just because we asked ahead of time regarding vegan options and were told that they do accommodate. Unfortunately after we sat down, the only thing my friend was able to order was just salad since some of the sauces included dairy or honey. Another thing was that we were charged $5 for sharing a plate, but wasn't told of the extra charge till the bill came. This is the first time I've heard of a shared plate charge.

Lobster cobb salad

Beautiful ambiance -- definitely the highlight of Wolf by Vanderpump. Service was mixed. Our busser was attentive, but our waitress would disappear at times, making it hard to add to our order. Food was hit or miss. The sea bass was delicious, and the lobster cobb salad was fresh with a great portion. The wagyu ragu pasta was just okay -- a bit salty. The bread had a soft interior but a slightly dry crust, and the butter could use more salt. Dessert was disappointing. We asked for the cinnamon roll to be split, but it wasn't, and we had to do it ourselves. It also turned out dry with bland frosting -- nothing special. Overall, a great vibe with some good dishes, but consistency in food and service needs improvement.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - suggestion for a nice dinner out THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - we didn't know until we got here that the restaurant is located in a hotel/casino - Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe - the restaurant is located at the corner of Stateline Ave and Lincoln Hwy - we parked in the hotel parking garage and walked over THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - FYI because it's in the hotel/casino the bathrooms are shared; you have to exit the restaurant and walk closer to the Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen restaurant to access the restrooms (shared between the casino and the restaurants) - the theme decor of the restaurant is very cozy and nothing like I'd ever seen before - like a wolf's den; it was giving very Lord of the Rings but make it wolf - love how everything from the plates to the napkins, etc. was branded to let you know you were at the Wolf THE MENU: - for the pack - wolf bites - from the garden - from the kitchen - prime cuts - sugar rush WHAT WE ORDERED: - The Famous Goat Cheese Balls - Heavenly Mac & Cheese - 14 oz New York Strip - Roasted Iberico Pork Pluma - Wagyu Ragu THE TASTE: - The Famous Goat Cheese Balls - I love goat cheese, but the ratio of the cheese to the batter was not great, which made this the least favorite dish - Heavenly Mac & Cheese - second least favorite dish; very creamy and a lot of the seasoning was just onions - 14 oz New York Strip - sides it came with were raw, the steak itself was very tough - Roasted Iberico Pork Pluma - best thing we ordered; tender, flavorful - Wagyu Ragu - second best thing we ordered, however, the pasta was overcooked and breaking apart - Complimentary Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream - provided to us for the long dinner wait, it was very cute but the cake itself was cold vs hot CUSTOMER SERVICE: - FYI you have to pay to make the reservation, your meal, and for parking - for whatever reason from the time of placing our order to the time we actually got our entrees was over an hour; we felt like an afterthought; you're really paying for the decor and vibes vs. the actual quality of the food and service

I finally had a chance to check out this very unique and beautiful restaurant to celebrate my friends birthday. All the cocktails we ordered were something special and very tasty. We ordered different kind of appetizers, so everyone was able to try the best delicious food. Our waitress Feyza was super friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for such a unforgettable evening. I know, I will be back again soon to check out more menu items.

Chicken Caesar Salad 10/10

The ambience was absolutely stunning. Beautiful space, loud energetic music, and dim lighting that makes it a perfect spot for photos and social outings. Visually, this place really delivers. Unfortunately, the food did not match the atmosphere. Overall, I would rate the food about a 6 out of 10. The standout was the Caesar salad starter, which was easily a 10 out of 10 and the best thing we ordered. I tried the prime rib sliders and did not care for them at all. The fish was bland and underwhelming. There were also very few gluten free options, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. Service was an odd experience. Our waiter seemed short and disengaged throughout the meal and did not really check in on us. It made the experience feel slightly awkward rather than welcoming. If you're coming for the ambiance, photos, and vibe, it's worth a visit. If you're coming primarily for the food and service, it may not meet expectations.

We had an amazing time at Wolf by Vanderpump at Caesars Republic in Lake Tahoe. We made reservations well in advance on OpenTable, and upon checking in, we were seated right away at a grand table in the center of the restaurant. The ambiance is stunning. Dim lighting, beautiful accents, and elegant decor, including gorgeous faux fur chairs. I loved that the furniture and seating felt intentionally varied. For example, our table looked completely different from another six-person table nearby. There's a great mix of traditional tables, lounge seating with side tables, and a beautiful bar with plenty of seating, which adds to the overall vibe. Service was excellent, and the cocktail selection was fantastic. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The bread is to die for, and the cheese balls were a standout as well. I had the seabass, which was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, while my husband ordered the ribeye and thought it was outstanding. Caesars Republic has done an amazing job with their renovations so far, and this restaurant is a major upgrade that truly elevates their offerings compared to other casinos and hotels in the area. We'll definitely be back.

Sheep's Clothing

Came to Wolf after dinner at a nearby restaurant, my goal was to check out what their bar and drinks menu have to offer, and I would say that Wolf impressed me big time! This place is beautiful inside out, from the entrance, host station, to the bar, and dining tables, they did a really amazing job on furnitures and decoration. From the wolf statues and arts, to the dim light atmosphere with dark aesthetic vibe, I really enjoyed it! Service was great, the host and multiple bartenders were taking good care of my party at the bar section. As a Vodka-based cocktail girlie I was so happy to be able to tried multiples drinks during my visit: Vamderpump Mules, Sheep's Clothing, Pumped Up Kicks, Pumptini and Happy Husky (shot). Each of them was unique and carefully crafted in their own ways. But if I have to pick and make a recommendation, I would say go with Pumped Up Kicks if you prefer a stronger and bitter cocktail, but this one came with a complex layers of flavors, the longer you take your time to sip through it, the sweetter it get. Another one Sheep's Clothing, in contrast with Pumped Up Kicks, this one is sweet, refreshing, and come with cotton candy around the glass, the cocktail itself does have a little hint of spiciness in it due to the Jalapeno Vodka base but it was delicious. I think I will set a mini goal for myself to comeback to Wolf to try all of their vodka-based cocktail on the menu. So next time when I'm at Tahoe, I will definitely be seen at Wolf's exploring new drinks, and maybe try out their foods as well.

Signature wolf bread

We came to Wolf during a South Lake ski trip with a reservation for a group of 6 and got seated at a beautiful, grand table in the middle of the restaurant. The ambiance here is amazing- think Romantasy/Game of Thrones vibes. Service was prompt and helpful, the food was delicious, and we had a fantastic time. 5 stars- would 100% come back. Some items my side of the table tried: - signature bread: I would order 2 of these next time. Super soft bread with delicious honey butter - crispy cauliflower: just okay - goat cheese bites: I LOVED these. Definitely get them. The sauce went perfectly with them - double smashburger: my friends had this and raved about it - roast chicken: my friend had this and liked it - New York strip: I split the strip with my boyfriend and I really liked it. Perfect cook. My boyfriend thought the steak was a bit bland and would have preferred the burger. - smores pizookie: this was perfect for sharing with a group where everyone just wants a bite or two. Sooo good. - happy husky shots: we ordered a round for the table and loved these. I would definitely get more next time. Like a lychee pina colada

They are obviously over priced but worth one visit for the ambiance and to say you went once. Actually the best martini i've ever had. We only had one app and a drink but all the food looked good. Great service. They have cheaper apres prices at the bar only until 5.

Hi. Planning to do a dinner here but my Fiancé and I will be in our ski outfit gear from the slopes by any chance can we still eat and do dinner after or will we need to change our clothes?

Yes, that will be fine. This is a well decorated restaurant, but it still is casual. We got a little bit, dressed to eat here the first time. However, the second time everyone went in their casual clothes.

Is there a Dress code?

Yes dress as if you are going to impress

Is there a bar/lounge for walk in cocktails?

Yes long bar to walk up.

Ganache pine cone still available?

I didn't see it last time like a month ago

Is there outside seating?

YES. And it's beautiful!

Is this dog friendly?

They don't allow dogs for dining inside, but they do if you dine on the patio

Is the patio dog friendly?

not really, there is a patio but not open maybe on a hot day.

Is this restaurant Kid friendly?

Yes. We brought our 8.5 month old baby and 3.5 toddler. They were so kind, helpful and accommodating!

Are there any vegan options or options that could be made vegan?

I did the cauliflower and salad but not a lot of options

Do you take reservations?

They do! On OpenTable. Book in advance though. I don't see any openings when I look a few days in advance at least for Friday/Saturday.

Is there a corkage fee?

Yes and it's not a small one. I think I heard it was $30 or more.

Is bar seating first come first served?Do I need a reservation to eat in bar?

You need a reservation.

What's the dress Code?

Casual

Is it kid friendly?

When I made a reservation I found this on the Open Table site: A note from the restaurant… Read more

It was actually so cool how they had the artist who was playing a saxophone, then the guitar then he can also sing and had a good voice. My major feed back with our experience is how the service was slow. We did have a big party, but what was crazy was that there was only one bartender. Mind you there was a host where you walk in and they count how many guest are there. The other person who helped at the bar did not come in until later and I'm not even sure if she actually helped out. Anyways, all their drinks I believe were the same price. I ordered the oasis which was really refreshing and tangy which I really liked. My bf ordered the tales of bourbon which unfortunately he did not like. Even our other friend who ordered the same thing did not like the bourbon. I do think the majority of our group enjoyed their drink. I would definitely say a nice spot to try and highly recommend it.
