I'm not a Vanderpump fan and was expecting this to be overpriced for what you get even for South Lake Tahoe Casino Hotel standards. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor/ambiance is excellent albeit maybe a little over-the-top but on the ground floor on the corner of a busy street it lacks any kind of special view. The drinks and food surprised me, they were actually pretty decent! Nothing absolutely incredible but for example the creamy vegetable risotto was some of the best risotto I've ever had. Pasta dish was overcooked (but what us Americans are used to.) Like most any restaurant, your mileage may vary depending on what specific menu items you choose. Service was excellent and the food prices are very reasonable FOR SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CASINO HOTEL DINING (many entrees under $30 -- cocktails are overpriced in general, low-mid $20's which is typical for high-end casino hotel craft cocktails.) This is a strong/high 4 stars. 5 stars if I let the designer decor, celebrity branding, or vacation/special occasion splurge mentality bias my judgment on the cuisine level and/or profit center cocktail prices. read more

Two stars because the bread was the best bread we've ever had and because the restaurant was gorgeous. The service was not great our server checked on our table for drinks twice in the two hours we were there but she was nice. Every dish we got was room temperature nothing was hot and the food was extremely disappointing, every dish... We ordered 6 appetizers, maybe they would've been better hot but flavor wasn't there at all. The lobster ceviche was pretty good. The cauliflower was pretty good but would've been better hot off the stove. We're a big fan of goat cheese but the goat cheese balls were not it they didn't have a crunch they were more soggy because they were room temperature and drenched in Honey. The artichoke dip was OK (chips n dip) the mac & cheese we all took one bite of, no cheese pull just mush. I added a lobster tail to my pasta it was extremely tough, but I still ate it,the pasta I only took one bite of, the cherry tomatoes should have been cooked longer they were almost raw and it tasted like it was made with stewed tomatoes or some type of low end pasta sauce in a jar ( for the price I'd expect some type of wine or garlic or fresh grated cheese flavor and no nothing just canned tomato flavor). The filet mignon was OK not bad but it was drenched in a barbecue type sauce, I expected some kind of wine sauce or gravy type sauce or brandy type sauce and no it was more of an A1 sauce all over the potatoes and steak. The price wasn't high compared to other fine dining restraunts but I wouldn't go here again. My sister and I enjoyed our dinner at Wolf. It was our first experience and it exceeded our expectations. The interior decorations put you in a fine-dining, forest atmosphere. It was dark and elegant. The attention to details were amazing. The service was outstanding by Camilla and her assistant. They checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. I was very thirsty.... lol. We ordered two mocktails... Berry Sexy and Emerald Bay. They were colorful and tasted refreshing. We started off with the OUTSTANDING Signature Wolf Bread with honey butter appetizer. It was soft, warm and delicious. It was so good that I ordered one to-go. My entree was their filet mignon with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. The steak was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. However, the roasted veggies were bland and undercooked. Trying out the new Happy hour... 3-5pm at the bar or the patio. Our favorites are on the reduced price menu...so we decided to check it out. Had a marvelous bartender take care of us. We started off with some beers, because they were far more reasonable than the craft cocktail selection on Happy hour. I got the goat cheese balls and hub got the prime rib sliders. We got a side of fries for 10.95.... These were not the fries we like with the starch coating, but they were hot and fresh. Very unique restaurant at South Lake Tahoe. The interior design is just amazing and the details are hard to find in other places. The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent! We had a wonderful time at Wolf. We came here on our first night staying at the hotel and loved it so much that we came back again for our New Year's Eve dinner. The ambiance here is unmatched. The space is beautiful, the decor is stunning, and the music really adds to the experience. It worked perfectly both as a dinner spot for two and would also be great for a group. The food was wonderful, the cocktails were delicious, and we had great service during both visits. The staff was attentive and helped make the experience even better. Everything we had was great overall. The signature wolf bread is absolutely amazing and dangerously addicting, I'm pretty sure we finished the entire thing. This was my first Vanderpump restaurant. I always see the ones in Vegas and they're absolutely stunning. I haven't had the chance to go but knew I would be awed by the decor inside of Wolf! It is so cozy, chic and the attention to detail is insane! Drinks are great. We ended up only getting 2 appetizers and honestly, we were full! I'm glad we didn't end up getting more since we aren't local and wouldn't have space for leftovers. The service was amazing and our waitress was awesome! Lovely dinner at Wolf. Our service was very good! Drinks are very creative and many to choose from, or order your favorite classic. I had the jalapeño martini and it was on the sweet side for my taste but well presented. The goat cheese balls and the bread were delicious. I had a ceasar with salmon. Really good, nice portion of fish. Fish and chips and ahi tacos also a big hit at the table. The chicken was good but the farro was bland. Hit the restaurant around 4pm on a Friday, nice entrance and we were greeted and treated with speed. Once sat our server Evan quickly appeared with positive vibes and communication skills. Peeking the menu I started to eyeball the smash burger. I was up in the air on a decision so I looked to the Yelp gods for help. Evan came table side and validated my smashed burger prayer with a hallelujah amen! After a tasty mocktail the burger of burgers arrived!!! Holy smokes no SH*T one of the best smashed burgers I've had! The truffle fries were also very tasty. The photos don't lie Yelpstars. I usually don't like capers or olives, but neither ingredient were too overpowering. The seabass was super buttery, flakey, and moist. Would order again! Beautiful ambiance -- definitely the highlight of Wolf by Vanderpump. Service was mixed. Our busser was attentive, but our waitress would disappear at times, making it hard to add to our order. Food was hit or miss. The sea bass was delicious, and the lobster cobb salad was fresh with a great portion. The wagyu ragu pasta was just okay -- a bit salty. The bread had a soft interior but a slightly dry crust, and the butter could use more salt. Dessert was disappointing. We asked for the cinnamon roll to be split, but it wasn't, and we had to do it ourselves. It also turned out dry with bland frosting -- nothing special. Unfortunately, the food did not match the atmosphere. Overall, I would rate the food about a 6 out of 10. The standout was the Caesar salad starter, which was easily a 10 out of 10 and the best thing we ordered. I tried the prime rib sliders and did not care for them at all. The fish was bland and underwhelming. There were also very few gluten free options, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. Service was an odd experience. Our waiter seemed short and disengaged throughout the meal and did not really check in on us. It made the experience feel slightly awkward rather than welcoming. We had an amazing time at Wolf by Vanderpump at Caesars Republic in Lake Tahoe. We made reservations well in advance on OpenTable, and upon checking in, we were seated right away at a grand table in the center of the restaurant. The ambiance is stunning. Dim lighting, beautiful accents, and elegant decor, including gorgeous faux fur chairs. I loved that the furniture and seating felt intentionally varied. For example, our table looked completely different from another six-person table nearby. There's a great mix of traditional tables, lounge seating with side tables, and a beautiful bar with plenty of seating, which adds to the overall vibe. Service was excellent, and the cocktail selection was fantastic. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The bread is to die for, and the cheese balls were a standout as well. I had the seabass, which was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, while my husband ordered the ribeye and thought it was outstanding. Caesars Republic has done an amazing job with their renovations so far, and this restaurant is a major upgrade that truly elevates their offerings compared to other casinos and hotels in the area. Came to Wolf after dinner at a nearby restaurant, my goal was to check out what their bar and drinks menu have to offer, and I would say that Wolf impressed me big time! This place is beautiful inside out, from the entrance, host station, to the bar, and dining tables, they did a really amazing job on furnitures and decoration. From the wolf statues and arts, to the dim light atmosphere with dark aesthetic vibe, I really enjoyed it! Service was great, the host and multiple bartenders were taking good care of my party at the bar section. As a Vodka-based cocktail girlie I was so happy to be able to tried multiples drinks during my visit: Vamderpump Mules, Sheep's Clothing, Pumped Up Kicks, Pumptini and Happy Husky (shot). Each of them was unique and carefully crafted in their own ways. But if I have to pick and make a recommendation, I would say go with Pumped Up Kicks if you prefer a stronger and bitter cocktail, but this one came with a complex layers of flavors, the longer you take your time to sip through it, the sweetter it get. Another one Sheep's Clothing, in contrast with Pumped Up Kicks, this one is sweet, refreshing, and come with cotton candy around the glass, the cocktail itself does have a little hint of spiciness in it due to the Jalapeno Vodka base but it was delicious. I think I will set a mini goal for myself to comeback to Wolf to try all of their vodka-based cocktail on the menu. So next time when I'm at Tahoe, I will definitely be seen at Wolf's exploring new drinks, and maybe try out their foods as well. read more

The drinks are all really well done. My favorite is The Blood Orange Old Fashioned. They're all pretty much around $20 as well so be aware of that. Food wise I had the Filet Mingon both times I came. It was prepared differently each time, but was excellent both times. It comes with sides which is nice and the price was reasonable. The first time it came with a red wine sauce, potatoes gratin, and bacon wrapped asparagus. Loved this preparation. The most recent time was fries, vegetables, and a peppercorn sauce. Also very good. Service has been great each time I've been here. Definitely make a reservation in advance as this place is very popular. read more

They sat a lot of walk-ins while we waited. As we sat down we had 3 people but were sat at a huge table for 6 people. One of our glasses had lipstick on it!! If you are looking for a phenomenal venue/experience for a celebratory dinner or just a special evening, of all the restaurants in the Tahoe area, my recommendation is Wolf at Caesars Republic. Caesars is completing a 130 million dollar remodel since taking over the Harvey's property. Wolf fits in perfectly with this refresh. Make your reservations well in advance because this place fills up quick. Even the bar area as well. The prices aren't for the faint of heart so prepare to spend some gold nuggets here. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. I recommend their Old Fashioned as well. Don't forget apps and dessert. After all, if you're going to splurge go for it! Camelia (like the flower) was our server and she was always there for anything we needed. Camelia truly took care of us and wanted to send out a thank you to her on behalf of everyone in my party! Came here two days in a row. Food was pretty good. We were there Sunday around 9:30pm at the bar. Had the 1842 gold margarita. It is supposed to have Don Julio Anejo and I watched the blonde bartender girl put Corazon Anejo instead. I deducted that from her tip and from the review. read more

This is a very beautiful restaurant. The decor is very well thought out. I ordered the wagyu sliders 2/5: The horse radish was extremely overwhelming. I could barely take more than 2 bites of the sliders.. I also ordered the wagyu pasta 4/5: It was extremely tasty but I personally think it needed a little more spice or something to elevate it especially for the price. They are obviously over priced but worth one visit for the ambiance and to say you went once. Actually the best martini i've ever had. We only had one app and a drink but all the food looked good. Great service. They have cheaper apres prices at the bar only until 5. read more
