The ambiance is cozy, glamorous and rustic at the same time. The lighting is so perfect and flattering. Little details are everywhere, and as a librarian, they knew to seat me by the library. The wait staff was professional, fun and super accommodating. They suggested a shotski, and my son chose a spicy vodka by accident. The video is priceless! Must haves: any of the cocktails! I asked for a champagne cocktail and they verified it was one with bitters, so they made it especially for me. The Wolf Bread is so yummy. And honestly, all of the food we tried was 5-star delicious. There was such a lack of flavor on everything we had to flag down the waiter and ask for salt. Which did take a hot minute to do and then also get the salt.... sadly leaving my seabass cold. I could barely chock down half between the few early warm bites and then waiting for the salt to help with a couple more bites. It had zero sauce, the menu made it sound like a tomato puree/lighter sauce but was literally just half slices tomatoes next to the fish, there was also only 2 literal kalamata olives... The steak, once with salt, was good. Cooked correctly. The side of vegetables were disgusting though. Zero seasoning, butter, flavor, literally ANYTHING. I personally do not understand the hype around this restaurant. The menu is very overwhelming and over priced! First of all the physical menu was giant and was very hard to maneuver around the table with four other people. There were so many options that I honestly didn't know what to order. The cocktail menu was probably 10+ pages long and each cocktail had a mini description, but it was very hard to select a drink. When I got the drink, it was sour. The consistency was very thick and overall it just was not a pleasant cocktail. I didn't even finish the drink, although it was $20+. Came here for my nieces 35th birthday. The decor of this place is amazing felt like I stepped into a Game of Throne scene. It was a bit dark so I had to use my iPhone light to read the menu. I ordered the double smash burger. I wanted it medium rare but they only serve it medium because the patties are too small. I didn't feel like fries and wanted a side salad instead but they wouldn't just replace it they wanted an extra charge so I didn't replace it. The burger was juicy, well seasoned and an okay size but the amount it cost it could have been bigger. The fries were a small amount but were crunchy and tasty. I ordered an ice cream for dessert. Was fortunate enough to make it back to Wolf, and the beauty of the decor hasn't changed. The decor is still beautiful and photo friendly and after a couple years it is still fun to walk through the dining room and seeing the chandeliers and the animal decor. We didn't have a reservation, but the hosts were able to seat us within 5 minutes. We were sat next to the fireplace was a little tight, but it set a nice backdrop to our dinner. During the same week, we ate at the bar and had the same server/bartender Karlie who was professional and took excellent care of us on two occasions. She took the time to greet us, ask us if we'd been to Wolf before, and still took the time to explain specials. She continually checked in with our group to make sure we were good on both food and drinks. Thanks Karlie! The food has remained delicious. The chefs seem to be pretty locked in, the food was delicious both nights. The tuna tartar is one of the best value in all of Caesar's South Lake. A group of us stopped in here for just drinks. The ambiance was nothing short of over the top. I get it's a Lisa Vanderpump restaurant, but it felt to me more like a stop at the thrift store. She was very helpful with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. Probably one of the best date nights I've had! We drove an hour from North Lake and it was so perfect. Everything about this restaurant was so incredible! The service, the food, the ambience! The drinks and food surprised me, they were actually pretty decent! Nothing absolutely incredible but for example the creamy vegetable risotto was some of the best risotto I've ever had. Pasta dish was overcooked (but what us Americans are used to.) Like most any restaurant, your mileage may vary depending on what specific menu items you choose. Service was excellent and the food prices are very reasonable FOR SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CASINO HOTEL DINING (many entrees under $30 -- cocktails are overpriced in general, low-mid $20's which is typical for high-end casino hotel craft cocktails.) We were told by friends to make sure we got a table. Apparently some of their seating options are low, inconvenient and difficult to get up from. Our 1st table was in the direct setting sun, blinding both of us. The manager said they've asked Corporate for retractable screens on those windows to no avail. It was a Saturday night and busy, but waiting :45 just to get bread was bad. In fact, Becca had to take our order because our waiter Scott was so busy. The food was good. The ambiance was.. not. [Food] - Prime Rib Sliders ($18.95): The meat was super tender and the jus definitely added to the entire burger with an umami bomb without being too salty! - Pan Roasted Chilean Seabass ($64.95): Sauce Vierge with capers, baby cherry tomatoes, black olives, & potatoes Anna were all perfectly balanced! I usually don't like capers or olives, but neither ingredient were too overpowering. The seabass was super buttery, flakey, and moist. Would order again! [Service] - Friendly, helpful, fast [Ambiance] - Dimmed, lovely decorated, & fun [Overall] - Would come back again just for their Chilean Seabass! - I would have rated 5 stars, but had to knock off a star just because we asked ahead of time regarding vegan options and were told that they do accommodate. Unfortunately after we sat down, the only thing my friend was able to order was just salad since some of the sauces included dairy or honey.
