I personally do not understand the hype around this restaurant. The menu is very overwhelming and over priced! First of all the physical menu was giant and was very hard to maneuver around the table with four other people. There were so many options that I honestly didn't know what to order. The cocktail menu was probably 10+ pages long and each cocktail had a mini description, but it was very hard to select a drink. When I got the drink, it was sour. The consistency was very thick and overall it just was not a pleasant cocktail. I didn't even finish the drink, although it was $20+. We ordered the slider appetizer, and that was honestly pretty good, especially after my cocktail situation. I did not love the goat cheese balls. I thought they were very, very mushy for being fried. Chairs were very heavy and it's hard to slide in and out of the table.
Had a wonderful dining experience at The Wolf! I definitely would recommend making a reservation in advance as we went on a Thursday night and it was packed. The Peter Rabbit Margarita was amazing, and had the perfect amount of spice without being too much. My spouse and I ordered a bunch of small bites to share, including the goat cheese balls, bruschetta spread, shrimp tacos, and sliders. The peach cobbler for dessert was also amazing!
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so glad I was able to today. Came in without reservations and we were able to get seated right away. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give us drinks suggestions, I was a little bit, disappointed that there was no frose today, but that's not a big deal. We order the goat cheese, ahi tuna, fish and chips and also the Bolognese pasta and we enjoyed everything. The food was good and the service was very nice and attentive, the restaurant itself was stunning.
Came here for my nieces 35th birthday. The decor of this place is amazing felt like I stepped into a Game of Throne scene. It was a bit dark so I had to use my iPhone light to read the menu. I ordered the double smash burger. I wanted it medium rare but they only serve it medium because the patties are too small. I didn't feel like fries and wanted a side salad instead but they wouldn't just replace it they wanted an extra charge so I didn't replace it. The burger was juicy, well seasoned and an okay size but the amount it cost it could have been bigger. The fries were a small amount but were crunchy and tasty. I ordered an ice cream for dessert. It arrived quickly but no spoon so I had to wait awhile for the spoon and coffee. It was not a solid scoop it was mainly melted by the time I got my spoon. All in all it's a cool place and it was a nice experience.
As a huge Vanderpump Rules fan and someone who absolutely loves Lake Tahoe, eating at Wolf by Vanderpump had been on my bucket list-- and it completely exceeded my expectations. First of all... the decor. Lisa and her designer absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every detail is stunning, elegant, and dramatic in the best way possible. The entire restaurant feels luxurious while still being warm and inviting. You can tell so much thought went into creating the atmosphere. We arrived right at 3:00 PM on a Wednesday and decided to sit on the patio. It was peaceful, not crowded at all, and the perfect time to enjoy happy hour. For drinks, we ordered the Wolf-Pop and Cry Wolf cocktails. They were exactly what you'd expect from Lisa Vanderpump-- beautiful, theatrical, and honestly... very sexy. The presentation alone made the experience feel special. For appetizers, we shared the famous goat cheese balls, prime rib sliders, ahi tuna tartare tostadas, and, at our wonderful server Camelia's recommendation, the pull-apart bread. Camelia... thank you! That bread was unbelievable and ended up being one of our favorite things we ordered. Speaking of Camelia, she truly made our visit memorable. She was so personable, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy getting to know us. After we finished our meal, she stayed to chat for a bit, which made us feel incredibly welcome. Service like that is hard to come by and deserves recognition. :) From the gorgeous atmosphere to the incredible food, creative cocktails, and outstanding hospitality, this was such a fun experience from start to finish. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Lake Tahoe!!!
Wolf by Vanderbilt is inside a smoky hotel but you stop noticing after 10 min. I wish there was an outdoor entrance. Anyway, food was amazing. Service was great. Decor was so on point. Would get the bread again. Would pass on the seafood salad, it was fine but not for the price. A good adult stop in South Lake Tahoe!
Was fortunate enough to make it back to Wolf, and the beauty of the decor hasn't changed. The decor is still beautiful and photo friendly and after a couple years it is still fun to walk through the dining room and seeing the chandeliers and the animal decor. We didn't have a reservation, but the hosts were able to seat us within 5 minutes. We were sat next to the fireplace was a little tight, but it set a nice backdrop to our dinner. During the same week, we ate at the bar and had the same server/bartender Karlie who was professional and took excellent care of us on two occasions. She took the time to greet us, ask us if we'd been to Wolf before, and still took the time to explain specials. She continually checked in with our group to make sure we were good on both food and drinks. Thanks Karlie! The food has remained delicious. The chefs seem to be pretty locked in, the food was delicious both nights. The tuna tartar is one of the best value in all of Caesar's South Lake. The smash burger is also great to have nearby and will exceed most burger cravings. The menu hasn't changed much from the opening and there is still plenty to try. Thanks for having us Wolf, Can't wait to be back!
A group of us stopped in here for just drinks. The ambiance was nothing short of over the top. I get it's a Lisa Vanderpump restaurant, but it felt to me more like a stop at the thrift store. I know that any one piece if anything in there probably costs half of my yearly salary. Everyone that worked there was very nice and warm. That I did take away from the experience. I do (or did) watch Vanderpump Rules but this just did not fit for me. Drinks were for the most part good. I had the bitch in heat, which I enjoyed. My wife who wanted so badly to come here, had the Big Bad wolf and it was "earthy,"we all tried it and none of us enjoyed it. She ended up with a Rosé after that. Upon checking out(and I already knew it was not cheap), our bill was around $125 for a total of 5 drinks. Checked it off the list!
Visited South Lake Tahoe for my 44th Birthday with the wife. She's been wanting to dine-in at one of these restaurants for a while now. Made reservations for Wolf by Lisa Vanderpump. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, vibrant, gorgeously designed, and exactly the kind vibe you'd expect from a Vanderpump venue, but with a perfect mountain-lodge twist. Beyond the stunning decor, the service was top-notch. The staff is incredibly attentive and very friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. Our waiteres, Katarina was incredible. She was very helpful with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. I asked if they had any vegan meals and Katarina said yes one cauliflower steak entrée not on the Menu. That automatically had my interest and was excited to order and try it. Katarina also surprised me with a mango sorbet for my bday since she remembered I was vegan! The attention to detail on all the appetizers and entrees were awesome! Between the gorgeous ambiance and the fantastic hospitality, this has easily become one of my favorite spots in South Lake Tahoe! Definitely Moe Approved!
The perfect spot for a a date night or girls' night out. Came here before with my husband but my last visit was with four girlfriends to celebrate a birthday, and we were all blown away by how gorgeous Wolf is. What we ordered: * Signature Wolf Bread - Can bread be the star of the meal? Because this was! It was the unanimous table favorite. * Wagyu Ragù - Another favorite! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and we wished we saved some bread to sop up some of the sauce with it. * 16 oz Ribeye - We appreciated that the kitchen sliced it for sharing, but we all agreed it could've used more seasoning. The vegetables were a bit bland as well, which was a bummer since it was the priciest dish. * Strawberry Rose Brûlée Tart -good but missing something. Still good for sharing. Loved all cocktails we got, they were more impressive than the food. They were beautiful, perfectly on theme for a girls' night, and strong AF. So yup we'll definitely be back.
I'm not a Vanderpump fan and was expecting this to be overpriced for what you get even for South Lake Tahoe Casino Hotel standards. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor/ambiance is excellent albeit maybe a little over-the-top but on the ground floor on the corner of a busy street it lacks any kind of special view. The drinks and food surprised me, they were actually pretty decent! Nothing absolutely incredible but for example the creamy vegetable risotto was some of the best risotto I've ever had. Pasta dish was overcooked (but what us Americans are used to.) Like most any restaurant, your mileage may vary depending on what specific menu items you choose. Service was excellent and the food prices are very reasonable FOR SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CASINO HOTEL DINING (many entrees under $30 -- cocktails are overpriced in general, low-mid $20's which is typical for high-end casino hotel craft cocktails.) This is a strong/high 4 stars. 5 stars if I let the designer decor, celebrity branding, or vacation/special occasion splurge mentality bias my judgment on the cuisine level and/or profit center cocktail prices.
My sister and I enjoyed our dinner at Wolf. It was our first experience and it exceeded our expectations. The interior decorations put you in a fine-dining, forest atmosphere. It was dark and elegant. The attention to details were amazing. The service was outstanding by Camilla and her assistant. They checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. I was very thirsty.... lol. We ordered two mocktails... Berry Sexy and Emerald Bay. They were colorful and tasted refreshing. We started off with the OUTSTANDING Signature Wolf Bread with honey butter appetizer. It was soft, warm and delicious. It was so good that I ordered one to-go. My entree was their filet mignon with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. The steak was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the mashed potatoes. However, the roasted veggies were bland and undercooked. My sister ordered the salmon with risotto. She enjoyed it. Reservations are highly recommended.
We had a reservation for Fourth of July dinner. I was worried as the restaurant website states it turns into 21+ after a certain hour, and the reservations we had would overlap. However, we finished our delicious meal with no issues. I was surprised they have a kids menu. The restaurant is so beautiful! Made it extra special for my kids. The bread is amazing! The service was great too.

This place was our favorite stop for high end dining and craft cocktails of the week so far. The inside of the restaurant is so vibey and perfect for a special occasion. The bartender we had was funny and personable and accommodated a change in plans for our group. The shining stars of the night were the cocktails ! The garnish and thought into their cocktails and menu is incredible and worth the price in my opinion. The prime rib sliders were the best prime rib sliders I've ever had and my husband wanted to only have another batch as his dinner again! It was delectable. Ashley was great and took care of our table. The food was delicious. My favorites were the bread and the s'mores dessert. The Wagyu Ragu was good too from the sample I tasted. But I ordered the New York steak. Cooked perfectly. I wanted more of the blue cheese crema. The veggies were al dente and still crunchy. The two drinks I tried were the 1879 margarita and the mojito. We had an amazing time at Wolf by Vanderpump at Caesars Republic in Lake Tahoe. We made reservations well in advance on OpenTable, and upon checking in, we were seated right away at a grand table in the center of the restaurant. The ambiance is stunning. Dim lighting, beautiful accents, and elegant decor, including gorgeous faux fur chairs. I loved that the furniture and seating felt intentionally varied. For example, our table looked completely different from another six-person table nearby. There's a great mix of traditional tables, lounge seating with side tables, and a beautiful bar with plenty of seating, which adds to the overall vibe. Service was excellent, and the cocktail selection was fantastic. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The bread is to die for, and the cheese balls were a standout as well. I had the seabass, which was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, while my husband ordered the ribeye and thought it was outstanding. Caesars Republic has done an amazing job with their renovations so far, and this restaurant is a major upgrade that truly elevates their offerings compared to other casinos and hotels in the area. The ambience was absolutely stunning. Beautiful space, loud energetic music, and dim lighting that makes it a perfect spot for photos and social outings. Visually, this place really delivers. Unfortunately, the food did not match the atmosphere. Overall, I would rate the food about a 6 out of 10. The standout was the Caesar salad starter, which was easily a 10 out of 10 and the best thing we ordered. I tried the prime rib sliders and did not care for them at all. The fish was bland and underwhelming. There were also very few gluten free options, which was surprising for a restaurant of this caliber. Service was an odd experience. Our waiter seemed short and disengaged throughout the meal and did not really check in on us. It made the experience feel slightly awkward rather than welcoming. Came to Wolf after dinner at a nearby restaurant, my goal was to check out what their bar and drinks menu have to offer, and I would say that Wolf impressed me big time! This place is beautiful inside out, from the entrance, host station, to the bar, and dining tables, they did a really amazing job on furnitures and decoration. From the wolf statues and arts, to the dim light atmosphere with dark aesthetic vibe, I really enjoyed it! Service was great, the host and multiple bartenders were taking good care of my party at the bar section. As a Vodka-based cocktail girlie I was so happy to be able to tried multiples drinks during my visit: Vamderpump Mules, Sheep's Clothing, Pumped Up Kicks, Pumptini and Happy Husky (shot). Each of them was unique and carefully crafted in their own ways. But if I have to pick and make a recommendation, I would say go with Pumped Up Kicks if you prefer a stronger and bitter cocktail, but this one came with a complex layers of flavors, the longer you take your time to sip through it, the sweetter it get. Another one Sheep's Clothing, in contrast with Pumped Up Kicks, this one is sweet, refreshing, and come with cotton candy around the glass, the cocktail itself does have a little hint of spiciness in it due to the Jalapeno Vodka base but it was delicious. I think I will set a mini goal for myself to comeback to Wolf to try all of their vodka-based cocktail on the menu. So next time when I'm at Tahoe, I will definitely be seen at Wolf's exploring new drinks, and maybe try out their foods as well. read more

We came to Wolf during a South Lake ski trip with a reservation for a group of 6 and got seated at a beautiful, grand table in the middle of the restaurant. The ambiance here is amazing- think Romantasy/Game of Thrones vibes. Service was prompt and helpful, the food was delicious, and we had a fantastic time. 5 stars- would 100% come back. Some items my side of the table tried: - signature bread: I would order 2 of these next time. Super soft bread with delicious honey butter - crispy cauliflower: just okay - goat cheese bites: I LOVED these. Definitely get them. The sauce went perfectly with them - double smashburger: my friends had this and raved about it - roast chicken: my friend had this and liked it - New York strip: I split the strip with my boyfriend and I really liked it. Perfect cook. My boyfriend thought the steak was a bit bland and would have preferred the burger. - smores pizookie: this was perfect for sharing with a group where everyone just wants a bite or two. Wolf is a great addition to the Lake Tahoe dining scene. I am personally not someone who watches the Vanderpump series, but I enjoyed my experience here. The vibe and ambiance are awesome. The drinks are all really well done. My favorite is The Blood Orange Old Fashioned. They're all pretty much around $20 as well so be aware of that. Food wise I had the Filet Mingon both times I came. It was prepared differently each time, but was excellent both times. It comes with sides which is nice and the price was reasonable. The first time it came with a red wine sauce, potatoes gratin, and bacon wrapped asparagus. Loved this preparation. The most recent time was fries, vegetables, and a peppercorn sauce. Also very good. Service has been great each time I've been here. Definitely make a reservation in advance as this place is very popular. read more

Impressed and hooked on Wolf's food and drinks. Food was absolutely delicious! Lots of tasty appetizer selections from the goat cheese balls to the signature wolf bread which is to die for. The flavor is so mouth watering good, a great start to dinner. The drinks were fun and flavorful, I think I have a pumptini addiction now. My husband got the burger and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've had and I had the rissotto but added shrimp and wow was that also so delicious! This is a very beautiful restaurant. The decor is very well thought out. I ordered the wagyu sliders 2/5: The horse radish was extremely overwhelming. I could barely take more than 2 bites of the sliders.. I also ordered the wagyu pasta 4/5: It was extremely tasty but I personally think it needed a little more spice or something to elevate it especially for the price. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is good, and the Tuscan Herb Roasted Chicken is 10/10. We had a 6 o'clock reservation on a Saturday night and were seated immediately upon arrival. We ordered: The Famous Goat Cheese Balls Signature Wolf Bread Caviar and Chips Tuscan Herb Roasted Chicken Ken's Fish and Chips And 2 cocktails If you eat caviar I highly recommend the caviar and chips, the chips mixed with the salty caviar and creme fraiche was perfect. My husband enjoyed the goat cheese balls with the hot honey and slaw. We've never seen this item on any other menu outside of a Lisa Vanderpump restaurant and that makes it special. The Tuscan Herb Roasted Chicken was my entree and I absolutely enjoyed every bite. The website describes it as Baby Summer Squash, Creamy Porcini Trufle Farrotto, Chicken Jus Lié. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. I had never had farrotto, I would describe it as an oat/grain that absorbed the flavor of the chicken jus lié well. The Wolf bread and fish and chips were okay but nothing you can't find anywhere else. The cocktails were tasty, and the presentation of each was unique, but I don't remember the names. Everything here is expensive and I recommend trying it for a special occasion. read more

"Wolf inside Caesar's Republic was SUCH a vibe. Moody, upscale, and honestly perfect for date night, but still fun enough for girls night too. There were a couple bachelorette parties there when we went. The decor is gorgeous with all the chandeliers and dark aesthetic. Daniel was our server/bartender and he was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and made really good cocktails. The heavenly mac and cheese was unreal, the Caesar salad was fresh with that giant parmesan crisp on top, and the filet mignon with truffle fries was SO good. I've been meaning to check this place out. Since we were close by and managed to garb a rezzie, we figured it was meant to be. We showed up early and luckily they were able to seat us around 9:30pm. I wanted a martini so I got the dirty dog. I'm not into it being too dirty (no pun intended), so I asked for it to be lighter on the olive juice. The blue cheese olives were delish. The boys got straight pours of scotch, while a gf got the marg. For the second round, I just got the same scotch pour while the gf got the espresso martini. The hubs didn't take part in round 2 since he was driving. Service here was excellent. We were sat at a table, but say the spot by the fireplace was free. They happily re-sat us when we asked. Definitely an Instagrammable dream, but the casino is being renovated so the walk here is not very appealing to the eye. However I can see how that will change under the new name. Although undeniably beautiful, this focuses more on the ambiance and plating than the taste of the food. That's because the best meal I had here was the Wolf Bread, which is just cheesy bread with honey and salt butter. We also had the smash burger, which was plated nicely but In and Out is still better. The New York Strip wasn't too impressive either, but the sauce was a nice touch. However I wasn't able to try the cocktails, which seems to be just as beautiful as the decor. Personally, I could see myself coming back for a girls' trip to take pictures and look cute. But not necessarily to be wowed by the food. read more

Great ambiance and service was really good too, our server Brian was great. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, and I loved that the espresso martini came with cute dessert snacks. The goat cheese balls were tasty as was the caviar. However the entrees were just okay, though the portions were big. We had the risotto which wasn't the creamy texture you expect with it and the flavor was alright but nothing amazing. The waygu pasta was alright as was the lobster Cobb. We stopped in for dessert and drinks post dinner and I'm so glad we did!! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and on a Friday night there was a DJ playing. The vibe was lively and very non traditional "tahoe" I had their version of espresso martini which was delicious and we shared the banana foster which was definitely a hit! Wolf by Vanderpump reminds us of her venues in Las Vegas. Tons of people that come for the hype, ambience which is beyond next level, and drinks which are top shelf, all the way. Wolf doesn't disappoint at all, so many of the other the other qualities along with great service and fantastic food. The lobster ceviche tacos were so good I forgot my name! Wolf by Vanderpump has become my wife and I's favorite restaurant in all of northern Nevada. Every visit feels special, and our recent dinner there was absolutely fantastic. The service was top-notch, and the restaurant itself is stunning -- beautifully decorated with an upscale but comfortable atmosphere and lots of natural light. We started with the tuna tostadas and the their signature bread both were excellent appetizers. The cocktails were also spot-on; I enjoyed a few of their old-fashioneds, and each one being served table side for some extra flare. For our entrées, I went with the double smash burger, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise since I was originally planning to order a steak (they don't have too many steak options on the menu). My wife chose the salmon, her usual favorite, and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. We finished with their cookie dessert which was good, but probably the weakest part of an otherwise outstanding meal. Overall, Wolf by Vanderpump is an incredible dining experience from start to finish. We'll absolutely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit! read more

We walked in as a party of 8 without reservations, got lucky and were sat immediately. We were blown away--honestly this is hands down one of the most visually stunning restaurants I've ever been in. The ambiance is sexy, cozy, and inviting at the same time. Every detail in the décor is perfection--bravo to the decorator! Cocktails are definitely on the spendy side, but they're worth every.single.sip--beautifully crafted, unique and fun to enjoy in such a gorgeous setting. A caviar bump with a cocktail?! Yes please!! Food was excellent ~ macaroni and cheese was dreamy and indulgent and of course we had to try the famous goat cheese balls--to die for! Of course we tried the cinnamon roll, which was the size of a dinner plate. This place is more than just a cocktail and a meal, it's an experience. Absolutely loved it and would recommend! 10/10 read more

We celebrated Father's Day and Mom's birthday at WOLF by Vanderpump, and it was a wonderful experience. The ambiance is stunning and beautifully designed, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. The food was delicious, and the portions were generously sized. The cocktails are on the pricier side, but they're beautifully crafted, flavorful, and definitely pack a punch, making them well worth trying. Food was excellent, ambiance was amazing and so was the service. My two complaints is the "business casual" dress code... me and my girlfriend dressed to the part while others were eating in gym shorts and tank tops. I would've done the same if I knew a dress code wouldn't be enforced. Lastly my Girlfriend's pasta was very undercooked (Wagyu Ragu). 3/5 but could be a 4 with a clean up on policy. read more

Hi. Planning to do a dinner here but my Fiancé and I will be in our ski outfit gear from the slopes by any chance can we still eat and do dinner after or will we need to change our clothes?
Yes, that will be fine. This is a well decorated restaurant, but it still is casual. We got a little bit, dressed to eat here the first time. However, the second time everyone went in their casual clothes.
Is this dog friendly?
They don't allow dogs for dining inside, but they do if you dine on the patio
Is the patio dog friendly?
not really, there is a patio but not open maybe on a hot day.
Is this restaurant Kid friendly?
Yes. We brought our 8.5 month old baby and 3.5 toddler. They were so kind, helpful and accommodating!
Are there any vegan options or options that could be made vegan?
I did the cauliflower and salad but not a lot of options
Do you take reservations?
They do! On OpenTable. Book in advance though. I don't see any openings when I look a few days in advance at least for Friday/Saturday.
Is there a corkage fee?
Yes and it's not a small one. I think I heard it was $30 or more.
Is bar seating first come first served?Do I need a reservation to eat in bar?
