What an amazing experience! This resort and restaurant are first class. We shared 3 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert, 2 cocktails and 1 dessert wine. The bill before tip was $350 and I was not mad at all about that because it was worth it. The Comanche Creek Spring Pea Salad was amazing. Even my "I don't like peas, but get it if you want" dining partner gobbled it up with a smile. The fried quail was good and larger than expected. The real star was the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio! Something I may have passed on because I've eaten it at so many places, but so glad I didn't because it set the bar as the best I have ever had and I wish I could have it again and again. The Elk Chop was delicious and perfectly cooked. There was an $8 split charge for that, but we could not have fit an additional main in our belly, so half a main each was the perfect serving size. It left just enough room to order a lovely dessert, the Chocolate Pistachio Royal. All in all a great meal. The only thing that could have made it better would be a more relaxed pace. I felt like moments after we ordered, way before our cocktails arrived, all 3 starters were placed in front of us. Drinks first, and then maybe one starter at a time would have felt less rushed. Then the moment our plates were cleared our dinner was there. A minute or two for a breath would be nice. I know too fast is way better than too slow so not really complaining. Came here for my boyfriend's birthday and made a reservation thru open table. I did try requesting a table about a month in advance but when we got there, all the window tables were taken, understandable. But there were a few tables on the second level (where we sat) in the middle that were free. We unfortunately got seated at the far end, but we did get to walk outside and enjoy the sunset. The hostess/person that was seating us appeared to be in a bad mood, so I decided not to ask if we could move to a center table. But aside from that first interaction, everything else was GREAT. The people serving us and working in the main dining room were so nice, it made up for the first hostess experience. We started w the tuna crudo and the shrimp tostada. If you can only get one thing, go for the tostada. For entrees we got the local trout and elk. My boyfriend liked the trout more and I liked the elk more. We ended our meal with the strawberry sabayon. I am not a dessert person but this was amazing. The food, while delicious was of course very small portions for a very high dollar amount. The chef seems very creative, however and if you like a changing meal experience this may be the spot for you. They also have a 5 course paced meal with wine pairing that I am eager to try next time. Everything was incredible from the receptionist, trying to get us a reservation on the busy July 4 weekend to the welcoming hosts, the busing team, our server who brought out champagne to celebrate our anniversary and every dish we had was absolutely amazing. What an experience this place is, especially during the winter holiday season. I happened to come across it on social media shortly before our trip to Lake Tahoe, and I'm so glad I did. I attended the Tea with an Edge for their opening weekend. It was incredible! Reservations are encouraged Your choice of tea will come served in a pot. Edgewood has their specialty OWN blend of tea called Essence of the Edge. All ingredients are from mountainous regions. It's a rooibos/green tea blend. We also tried a pot of their jasmine pearls. Both so delicate and went well with the food. They also have specialty cocktails for tea. I opted for the Super Saiyan because DUH! It's a tequila based drink with chamomile, yuzu and honey. A nice little kick after tea Now the food was amazing. You are served three tiers. The first tier is your savory bites. My favorite was the BLT and the smoked salmon. Moving on to the second tier of sweets. The superstars were definitely the pistachio madeline and the lavender blackberry bite. Not too sweet and such unique flavors. The top and final tier featured their scones: blueberry and white chocolate cranberry. Served with their lemon crème fraiche. Tea with an Edge is served Saturday-Sunday right now from 130-330pm. I went here for my birthday dinner and it's a fantastic place to celebrate any occasion! The valet parking is free and they have a very nice lounge/bar to go to while waiting for your table to be ready. The service was a great and we had multiple servers serving us, all great. The complementary champagne was great too and they also gave me dark chocolate, my favorite, for my birthday. The meal itself was great too, my entree was on the smaller side but delicious. Celebrated my fiancés b-day at the newly reopened Edge Restaurant at the Edgewood resort. Drinks here are unique, tasty and so pretty! We thought the $165 for a five course tasting menu was reasonable, especially in comparison to the pricing on the a la carte menu. Creative, beautifully presented and delicious! We also ordered the bread and butter that came with salted butter, spiced honey and lavender honey. Loved the condiments, but the bread was underwhelming: cold and dry. The fiancé got the foie gras for a starter, a treat as we can't get this just a block down in California. It was a good portion, decadent and tasty. His trout entree was cooked perfectly too. We had to try the honey baked Alaska for dessert. We both thought there was a bit too much going on with the tastes and textures in that little dessert. Portions in the smaller side. We didn't walk away feeling full and we finished everything. Service was very attentive. The meal was very slow paced. Get ready for a long one: ours stretched out to three hours! I had a great experience. I reserved time for sunset and it was well worth it. I started with their appetizer grilled maitake mushrooms and I really liked them. Their butter, bread and honey was also delicious, honey had cayenne pepper mixed which gave very good flavor. For entree I ordered elk chops, it was really delicious. They also give some time of muse to try before the entree. For drink I got non alcoholic cocktail which they call mocktails - Vesuvius. I finished with chocolate raspberry budino which was really on point. Michael did wonderful job as on serving, suggesting and explaining. Two stars is generous in my opinion for what you're paying for. Starting with the hostess Myra. She almost seemed like she was on drugs, I caught her yelling at herself several times. Extremely bizarre greeting given how expensive this restaurant is. We also had to wait almost 30 minutes after our reservation time. The portions are tiny for the price. My $80 filet was overcooked. My husbands elk was raw and fridge cold in some places. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At one point, a wooden plank from the ceiling literally fell off and almost hit somebody in the head. We were able to get valet and walk up this grand staircase where we were greeted by staff. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a 5 course tasting meal and a few drinks for our anniversary. The staff was excellent and even took us outside to make sure we got photos on our special day. The food was very fresh and the cocktails were nicely crafted. I dined here with a small group, and since I love sharing, we decided to order a wide variety of dishes to experience as much of the menu as possible. The restaurant offers both a prix fixe menu and a regular à la carte menu, which made it easy to mix and match and try a little bit of everything. The elk was beautifully prepared, rich, tender, and full of flavor. The quail was another highlight for me. The mushroom dish was outstanding and deserves just as much attention as the proteins. We also had the hamachi on wonton and the carpaccio, both of which were absolutely delicious. I am not sure if those items are always on the menu, but if you see them offered, do not hesitate. They were memorable and beautifully executed. The service was on par with the food. It was attentive, knowledgeable, and polished without feeling intrusive. One thing to note is that the restaurant is a cashless venue, so be sure to bring cash for the valet. From the ambiance to the cuisine and service, everything felt thoughtful and refined. We visited Edgewood last year and left completely enchanted -- it was one of those rare dining experiences that felt magical from start to finish. This time, however, was a major letdown. While the new renovations are certainly sleek, they feel completely out of place. The modern aesthetic stripped away all of the rustic charm that once made the space feel so special and cozy. Unfortunately, the service matched the new look -- cold and impersonal. Our server's description of the menu items consisted of, "This is really good because I like it," which didn't exactly inspire confidence or convey much knowledge about the dishes. The new chef's menu felt unimaginative and lacked flavor -- a huge contrast to last year's thoughtful, balanced dishes. To top it off, I sat with my entrée in front of me for a full five minutes before realizing I didn't even have silverware, and had to flag someone down just to start eating. Last year, our experience was so memorable we came back the very next night. This time, we had reservations for two evenings -- and after the first, we cancelled the second. The cucumber salad was not good at all -- trust me, skip it -- though the Gem salad was delicious and the bread and butter were tasty bites. We've dined at restaurants that have achieved what The Edge is aiming for -- like Bull & Bear, The Salt, Tides in Vero Beach, Eddie V's, and The Wave -- but this one didn't reach that level. I have also been to the Edgewood restaurant many times and this is the first time as The Edge. I opted for the chef menu since it sounded very tantalizing, but the price shocked me. I looked at the rest of the menu and figured the menu was the best value. Well those courses almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Very stingy and very small. The price of wine by the glass is the highest in price that I have ever seen. So I nursed my cocktail through the whole meal which was very good. The entrees were more generous as well as the dessert. So overall a very flavorful outing, just micro size portions. The dessert was very fascinating, and very flavorful. My friend got the elk chop, the elk chop, that was it. My other friend ordered the lobster. Very small portion for the price. Sooooooooooooooooo........... The appetizers are perfect for the high tea, but lacking for a multi course meal. For the price? I've been to places that don't charge as much and just as flavorful and more reasonable. And one gets fed. Service was excellent and very well paced. We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Edgewood. The Elk Chop was fantastic, cooked to tender perfection and full of flavor. Highly recommend it, especially knowing the chef is from the Midwest and clearly knows how to handle game meats beautifully. The Beef (American Wagyu) was also excellent. The Trout was decent, though the other dishes definitely stole the show. Their Signature Cocktails are fantastic, and we particularly appreciated the originality with some of the fusion mixes. Service was top-notch; when the evening got a little chilly, they brought us blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch. The ambience is stunning-- cozy, elegant, and compliments the resort's aesthetics and Tahoe scenery. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for an elevated but warm and welcoming meal. We'll definitely be returning the next time we're in Tahoe. read more

Would be cautious of their nebulous "dress code". My wife and child were turned away because we weren't dressed "correctly" . We I asked the host (Mags) and manager ( Taylor Justice ?), which rule we broke according the website, they said none, I specifically asked if any piece I wore (dark collared shirts, dark jeans, dress sneakers) broke the rules, to which the host said "no, just the overall combination". This was after a patron was allowed in with light flannel shirt and hiking sneakers. So my take and what they are implying is the restaurant code is just based on any prejudicial whim the host and GM feels at the moment. Every time we come to Tahoe, we've had dinner here. This time we brought my SIL & husband. The view & ambiance is what you pay for. The Parker rolls are amazing, we ordered two. I had the elk chop & I had the best meal of the group. Unfortunately my BIL's roasted chicken was dry. Two got the trout & both said it was bit tasteless. This is first time we had mediocre food here & unfortunately first time we brought company. read more

I have been coming to Edgewood Restaurant, now Edge, as long as they have been in business. As someone who hails from San Francisco, I can honestly say this restaurant is my most favorite compared to restaurants in the S.F. and Napa Valley. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's "The Whole Package", where delicious food, excellent service and incredible ambience all come togther.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We recently dined at the newly remodeled Edge on 5/26/26 for our wedding anniversary. We had the Wagyu carpaccio appetizer, I had the tasting menu, my husband had the lobster and salad. The tasting menu that evening hit every note with incredible flavor. My husband's dishes were equally tasty. Our waiter had excellent wine pairing recommendations-- the restaurant always shined at this. It was a perfect evening! We love Edgewood so much, we even had our daughter's wedding here without question or hesitation. A special place and a special treat for those that can see and value what is offered here. So happy with the expansions over the years and best wishes for your continued success in making this a Class A resort destination. read more

7/22/23 Edgewood Restaurant is a definite 5 stars for the food, the service and the view. Zach made a reservation here for 7:45PM to celebrate our engagement earlier that day. The restaurant inside and out is veyy beautiful. There's a valet service which I'm not sure if it's mandatory or not, but Zach handed the valet guy the keys and we proceeded up the staircase inside. There are huge windows and an outdoor space you can walk to enjoy the view. We waited an extra 10 minutes to get a table right by the window, but it was worth the wait since the view was amazing. All of staff here are dressed very professionally and the service was truly outstanding. Aaron was our waiter that evening and he was great. Even the chairs are wonderful because they are so comfy and they support your back and shoulders. Here's what we got: - Bronzed sea scallops (to share) - French onion soup (his) - Lobster chowder (mine) - Veal chops (his) - Halibut (mine) - Fuji apple ginger sour (mine) We went all out since we were celebrating the engagement. The bread and butter they give you was phenomenal and honestly probably the best bread and butter I've ever had. They give you a variety of bread and the butter is so smooth and so creamy. We would go outside to enjoy the view and see the sunset when we were waiting for the food to come. Everything we had tasted amazing. Would definitely return! read more
