If you are looking for a phenomenal venue/experience for a celebratory dinner or just a special evening, of all the restaurants in the Tahoe area, my recommendation is Wolf at Caesars Republic. Caesars is completing a 130 million dollar remodel since taking over the Harvey's property. Wolf fits in perfectly with this refresh. Make your reservations well in advance because this place fills up quick. Even the bar area as well. The prices aren't for the faint of heart so prepare to spend some gold nuggets here. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. I recommend their Old Fashioned as well. Don't forget apps and dessert. After all, if you're going to splurge go for it! Camelia (like the flower) was our server and she was always there for anything we needed. Camelia truly took care of us and wanted to send out a thank you to her on behalf of everyone in my party! It took a while but I finally made time to try this place. It was worth the wait! The restaurant is really beautiful. They really put so much into the details. And it's a huge part of the experience. Food was excellent. Which I expected at this price point. Here's what we had: Giggy Tonic. This drink is gigantic. I needed two hands to hold and drink from it. I didn't finish it so needed to put the rest in a to go cup. It was good but probably would not order it again due to the size and I like more fruity drinks. It is tasty and beautiful to look at, though! Huff & Puff Old Fashioned. Delicious! Very strong. Loved the complex flavors. Smokey Chicken Bites. These were very good. Really liked the buffalo sauce and the smokey presentation. But nothing to write home about. Next time I'll pass on these and try a different appetizer. Garden Cacio e Pepe Risotto. To die for. Light but impactful flavor. Nice variety of veggies. Pesto was excellent and not overpowering. A touch more pepper would have made it better. Loved that this was surprisingly light in taste and not salty. 6oz Grilled Filet Mignon Au Piovere. Perfectly cooked and tender. Sauce was delicious. Fries were excellent. This was a good choice. Giant Cinnamon Roll. Lives up to the name. Unless you're sharing this with a large group, expect to have leftovers for breakfast the next day. Frosting was light and not too sweet. Very nicely done. Service was top notch. Hostess was very nice and seated us quickly (we had a reservation). Our server was so welcoming and genuine. She made the visit very enjoyable. The night before we ordered a couple of dishes to go. Prime Rib Sliders. Good but not great. A little saltier than expected but might be fine for folks who don't mind saltier food. Garden Greens Salad. This was really good. BUT... They forgot to put avocado on it which was why I ordered it to begin with. Also had a couple of leaves of lettuce that were browning that I had to remove. So that was a disappointment and I expected better from this restaurant. We visited on a Friday night in August and had reservations for 6pm. The restaurant seems to be consistently busy, so I would encourage reservations. The restaurant itself draws you in by the glamorous and captivating decor. It is something you truly need to see and experience in person. The restaurant does not have any bathrooms. You will need to exit the restaurant, turn left and it is your first left down a hall next to Hell's Kitchen. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. Our server was professional, nice and attentive. I ordered a Moscow mule and it tasted great. I ordered the double smash burger. The presentation matched the decor of the restaurant. It was served on a cutting board with a basket of fries. Lettuce and tomato's were laying to the side on the cutting board. This burger is served with 4oz wagu patties. Wow, this burger did not disappoint! The meat was tender, juicy and paired nicely with the pickles, havarti cheese, aioli and crispy onions. The basket of fries has to be one of the most generous serving sizes I have experienced at a restaurant. They tasted great and had a nice crunch. Got the cold brew bourbon, blackberry lambrusco spritz, and the sage green tea sour. All were spot on. But docking a star because the drinks took quite awhile to come out and they forgot a request we made for extra garnish. My husband and I were really looking forward to what we thought would be a very special Valentine's Day, dinner at Wolf. My husband made our reservation on 01/07/2026 for Valentine's Day, 02/14/2026. We were genuinely excited since we had dined here before and had a great experience. We even drove 4 hours as a family because dining at Wolf was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. As a mom, getting dressed up for a night out isn't easy. I spent two hours getting ready, put on a $60+ dress and heels, got our baby dressed and my husband dressed up too. We had previously dined here on 04/13/2024 at 9:15pm with our son (who was 2 at the time), so we didn't think bringing him would be an issue. Unfortunately, when we checked in at the front, we were denied entry because we had a minor with us. We were informed that after 8pm the restaurant does not allow anyone under the age of 21. According to the front desk, our son was a "minor," which I guess meant he was magically going to start drinking cocktails that night. This completely caught us off guard. While I understand that restaurants have policies and that policies can change, this was something we truly did not notice when making the reservation online. After driving 4 hours and having reservations booked for over a month, it was incredibly disappointing to be turned away at the door. I asked to speak with a manager hoping there might be some understanding given the situation and the fact that we had come so far for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the interaction did not feel very empathetic and the policy was simply repeated without any alternative options or solutions. What made this particularly upsetting is that this dinner was supposed to be our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. Instead, we left feeling embarrassed, disappointed and honestly very emotional after having planned and looked forward to this evening for weeks. I'm especially surprised by this experience considering the brand and image associated with the restaurant. With everything that's said publicly about being welcoming and family-oriented, this experience felt like the complete opposite of that message. Anyone with a toddler knows getting ready for a night out is an event in itself. Two hours getting ready, a nice dress and heels, and dressing up our little one... only to be turned away before we even stepped inside. I'm sharing this mainly so other families are aware: after 8pm, Wolf is a 21+ environment and minors will not be allowed inside. I truly hope the restaurant might consider clearer communication during the reservation process so situations like this don't happen to other families celebrating special occasions. Considering the restaurant is tied to Lisa Vanderpump, who often promotes an image of hospitality and being welcoming, I expected a very different experience. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled felt like the complete opposite of that message. I couldn't help but think about how much Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants promote a sense of family and hospitality. Knowing that her own daughter and grandchildren enjoy dining at Wolf made it feel even more ironic that our small family was turned away for having our 3 year old with us. For anyone planning a special night here, just make sure you read every rule carefully... so you don't end up celebrating Valentine's Day in the parking lot like we did. WOLF, do better. Enter the enchanted forest of Wolf, which offers only a modest reprieve from the stench of cigarette smoke and regret wafting in from the casino. Taxidermied animals glower down at you from every angle. You meekly sip on a $20 cocktail and ponder whether $46 is a justifiable price for several leaves of red leaf lettuces garnished with mandarins and walnut slivers which really brings the "sad" out of "salad". The decor is not subtle; it does not whisper. It howls. Glass cascades of light suspend from the ceiling and glimmer, as if any moment a Real Housewife could descend from the heavens and deliver a withering critique of your pedestrian outfit. We ordered the Mac and cheese appetizer which was decadent, the tuna tartare which was acceptable, and the New York strip which was average. Sat at the bar for drinks the bartender was so sweet and handsome. Sat down towards the front and ordered two caviar dishes which was wonderful along with crostini dish. I had filet mignon and my two guests had red prawn pasta and sea bass we all very happy with our meal. And a glass of Rombauer. At almost $17 for a small four slice loaf, the cheesy bread has got to be the most expensive bread I've ever had. I made my reservations on OpenTable almost two weeks in advance. We arrived promptly at our 7pm reservation, but were told our table wasn't ready yet. We took a seat at the bar to start on a couple drinks. The drinks are strong and beautifully presented. 20 minutes later the host let us know she could seat us. I never notice the comfort of the seating arrangements, but one Google reviewer pointed out the chairs for the two tops were too low, the table too high and the menus gigantic. I have to concur. It was a pretty uncomfortable dining experience, as I felt like we were miniatures in a big blingy goth meets Restoration Hardware dollhouse of sorts. I'm not knocking the decor or ambiance! I quite liked it! Onto our meal: the cheesy bread, albeit pricy was delectable. We also got the signature goat cheese balls (ok) and they nicely split the wagyu ragu entree for us, which was rich and cooked perfectly al dente and also was surprisingly large: we even had leftovers. We had to end with the stonefruit cobbler, which we were notified would be about a ten minute prep time. My SO devoured it. Filled with fresh, sweet fruit and topped with a nice crumb crust. I didn't care for the cotton candy on the outside of the glass that made it very sticky. The rosé was perfect! I ordered the waygu burger for my entree and it was DELICIOUS! Cooked perfectly, nice and juicy and full of flavor. For dessert we ordered the deep dish smores. It was a cookie with s'mores topping and was a good and safe choice. Great ambiance and a pretty space overall. The waitstaff were kind and attentive as well and were very honest about menu choices. They commented that many guests ask about it. The host were very rude all 3 of them.... at the front which really set the tone for a negative visit to Wolf by Vanderpump. We opted to just go straight to our dinner table. The Busser and our Server were great however, the 79.95 state trip was in New York that was overcooked to a medium, instead of medium rare. The appetizer chicken was stringy. We did not tell the Server because we already had a negative experience by the host. We will not return this restaurant portrays an experience that you will not get just be aware of that. They need to change their website to be correct. It's unacceptable to waste their guest time. Who show up for a scheduled happy hour that is wrong on their website. read more

It came with a little chocolate treat on the side, which was such a thoughtful and delicious touch. My partner had a jalapeño strawberry martini topped with cotton candy (yes, cotton candy!), and it was as wild and fun as it sounds: sweet, spicy, and just the right kind of over-the-top. We ended up getting drinks at Hell's Kitchen too, but honestly, I was still thinking about the ones from Wolf.
